A woman in dilemma seeks the public advice and suggestion on how to break her daughter’s unusual paternity to her.
According to her, she and her husband are in the know about the case and even arrived at the decision because the husband had a vasectomy.
The husband previously has two children for an ex and did the vasectomy surgery. When he met the recent woman and got married, they decided to have a child together but as he no longer could impregnate a woman, they decided that the woman undergoes an IVF where the stepson’s sperm was fertilized by her egg.
Read her post on Atlantic Dear Therapist below:
Dear Therapist,
When I married my husband, he had two adult children, and I had none. We both wanted to have a child together, but my husband had a vasectomy after his second child was born—too long ago to get the procedure reversed.
We didn’t want to use a sperm bank, so we asked my husband’s son to be the donor. We felt that was the best decision: Our child would have my husband’s genes, and we knew my stepson’s health, personality, and intelligence. He agreed to help.
Our daughter is 30 now. How do we tell her that her “father” is her grandfather, her “brother” is her father, her “sister” is her aunt, and her “nephew” is her half-brother?
My husband and I are anxious, confused, and worried about telling her. This is also hard on my husband, because he wants our daughter to know that he will always and forever be her father.

The X (former Twitter) social platform controversial Nigerian influencer, daniel Regha, has dropped another bombshell about the Nigerian music industry.
Daniel, was invited to the Doyin’s Corner podcast which is hosted by the BBNaija former housemate, Doyin.
Both ‘straight-to-the-point’ people discussed the music industry, and while Doyin was slightly diplomatic in her approach, Daniel, true to character, was very blunt in expressing his view.
When asked if the music produced now are better to the previous years, he had responded that the Nigerian music industry is not progressing and that our current artistes are too afraid to come out of their niche and be versatile.
Daniel asserts that the theme of the songs are always on women, money and sex. According to him, the three big ‘uns of the industry, Davido, Wizkid and Burna are getting ‘goated’ but not there yet.
He argued that Davido sells beats, not good lyrics and that Wizkid is too monotonous. He however stated that Burna Boy is the best out of the trio, but he is not talented.
Regha claimed the ‘GiantofAfrica’ is conscious of the songs he puts out and that contributes to his success. He said he excels more in sampling old songs.
To KizzDaniel, Regha states that the singer lacks inspiration, that the trendy “TweTwe” song is wack and useless. He concludes that the song would not have blown if it came out in the old times.
These are just few of what he said. What do you think, is he right in his assertions?

Popular Nigerian Rapper,Illblisshas disclosed that he decided to take a break from music so he could diversify.
The actor stated that he made the decision to step away from the music industry in order to concentrate on becoming a father to his two kids.
In a recent episode of the Hip TV show Trending, Illbliss revealed the information and said that he has been experimenting with making documentaries, films, and other creative endeavours.
He said; “My two kids came miraculously. My first child was born eight years after I married my wife while my second daughter born during the COVID-19 lockdown. So I took time off to be a dad; to spend time with my family and raise my kids.
Also, I was trying to find diversification. So I moved into television as well. I had done ‘King Of Boys’ a year before then and I just felt like I needed to produce more; shoot more films, documentaries and get into spaces where I could still express myself artistically without just putting out music. So, I took a break from music. All of these is what has been happening in the last four years.”
Some of the individuals whom Pastor Blessed filed a complaint against claimed that the child shared a striking resemblance with minister Nathaniel Bassey.
This resulted in Nathaniel Bassey petitioning the IGP on the 1st of April, through his lawyers over the allegations that he fathered Mercy Chinwo’s son.
Mercy Chinwo’s husband also said that the alleged acts of Criminal Defamation were carried out through the intentional dissemination of injurious falsehood, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking.
The court has now issued a criminal summons on the five persons for Defamation and the five defendants Okoronkwo Ejike, Kingsley Ibeh, DJ Spoiltkid, Terrence Ekot, and Samuel Agozie are to appear before the court on the 23rd of April, 2024.
Fans and colleagues of both entertainers have trooped to their social pages to show support.
Nollywood actor, Jidekene Achufusi has stated that those working in the comedy, music, and film industries should be motivated by more than just winning awards.
In response to being passed over by the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) organisers, the “Living In Bondage” actor made this comment in a recent interview with Arise TV.
The host asked; “What do you think about the nominations for AMVCA? Were you a bit upset about the snub?”
Jidekene expressed his belief that the organizers of award ceremonies typically have ulterior motives for their selections, which may not be readily understood by creatives or fans.
He said; “Well, experience teaches you that everytime there is always going to be a generational shift. Sometimes, the people who do these awards have targets. It could be, ‘Let’s make sure we bring on new people or let’s make sure the veterans know that we see them.’ It could also be, ‘Last year we went that way, this year let’s go this way.’
I don’t know what they think about when they make the selections that they make. But I do believe that collectively, there would always be news about whatever selections that they made.
So my advice would be, it is a win win for everybody. Whatever your motivations are, it shouldn’t be limited to awards because at the end of the day, if you made good films or you are getting better roles than you did last year, you are winning. And our real focus is to feed the Nigerian film market. Not necessarily about who is where or who is not where.”
