A Nigerian Lady on Instagram identified as Helena, is now regretting after she discovered that a guy who has been in her DMs since 2016 is no other person than 2020 Big Brother Housemate, Laycon.
She shared screenshots from her DM from 2016 which shows Laycon pleading for a follow back. The screenshot also shows another DM in 2017 where Laycon said she was ‘hot’ and would like her to do something for him.
She ignored his entire message even up until 2019 when he told her that he wants her.
Now, Helena may be sad, and has now declared she’d be replying he DMs from now on. She also said if Laycon wins, that she would regret because he tried to toast her and she didn’t look at his side.

Some friends of a Nigerian teenager who resides in Ibadan have beckoned for help on behalf of the teenager while accusing the teenager’s family of subjecting her to humiliation and abuse.
According to one of the friends, the embattled lady, aged 18, “has been maltreated at home for a while.”
The lady’s friend took to Twitter to allege that the young lady’s mother stripped her naked two weeks ago and beat her outside because she returned home late.
The friend revealed that members of the young lady’s family have been doing mean things to her, including her cousin, brother, uncle, and parents.
She recently ran away from home and went to stay with a friend and her family begged her to return home.
However, when she returned home, they allegedly hit her, took her phone from her, and locked her up in a room.
The friend went on to shared screenshots of messages the alleged victim sent to her complaining about the recent domestic abuse from her family.
She claimed her uncle returned home and hit her. He also allegedly hit her head on the wall several times and injured her. Her brother also allegedly threatened to deal with her when he comes home.
The friend shared photos of her friend’s injury and asked people to tag anyone who can help the abused woman.
Twitter users have begun tagging NGOs that handle domestic violence cases.

A Nigerian man, Mazi Uju Nwokorobia has sparked an outrage on social media after he revealed the role of women in the society.

A lady has shared the reaction her mother gave after seeing one of the photos from a photo shoot session she’d had.
In the screenshot of the conversation with her mother which has now been shared on social media, the lady’s mother confronts her about the particular picture she saw.

Although Lilo was quite vocal about calling Eric her best friend, their slightly affectionate position told another story. We got a glimpse into who might be the bosses and the followers of the Big Brother Naija Lockdown workouts. Police operatives from Satellite Town in Lagos have apprehended the notorious leader of a gang and he reportedly claimed he was the son of a Lagos monarch.
The man identified as Yusuf, AKA Prince, was arrested at Abule Oshun where he allegedly led his gang to a warehouse to rob and extort the owners.
Trouble reportedly started after members of the gang stormed a warehouse in Abule-Osun with the intention of extorting money from the owner but the attempt was resisted leading to a fierce crisis. The gang reportedly wounded scores of people and destroyed properties in the process.
Unconfirmed report claims that two persons were feared killed during the crisis that erupted Saturday morning, July 18, and their bodies were taken away to an unknown place.
Yusuf’s arrest comes after several months manhunt. He had reportedly been on the police’s wanted list for a series of crimes.
When he was arrested, he allegedly claimed to be the son of a man who claims to be the Oba of Oguntade village in Satellite Town.
His arrest triggered wild jubilation by residents who had been subjected to killings, extortion, harassment and intimidation for long by the gang.
Talking with LIB, Lagos State Police PRO, Bala Elkana said,
“I know we have a particular Yusuf in our custody, which has been on our wanted list for series of crimes in the past, around that axis. I don’t know whether he’s a son to any Oba somewhere.”
He added, “We have a Yusuf arrested who is involved in a series of crimes in the past that we’re investigating.”
A Nigerian doctor has taken to Twitter to narrate how he started showing symptoms for Covid-19, after he tested positive.
Dr Terry with the Twitter handle said that he went through the very hard symptoms like fever, throat pain, chest pain, vomiting, diarrhea, chickenpox, among others.
The medical officer said the time was really a difficult one for his family, friends, coworkers, and the hospital where he works.
Dr Terry said that he was free of Covid-19 symptoms for days before he tested negative for the virus. He, therefore, advised everyone out there to be very careful by adhering to all safety rules like wearing face masks, regularly washing hands, and staying away from public gatherings.
The Covid-19 survivor said that Covid-19 is very real, saying though he survived it, others might not.

In a recent post on her Instagram stories, the beauty entrepreneur advises women to focus on themselves and live their lives.

Big Brother Naija 2020 housemate, Rebecca “Nengi” Hampson, referred to simply as “Nengi” has shared with other housemates on the show, a bit of her life story.
According to 22-year-old former MBGN finalist, she lost her dad at the tender age of 2 and her mother just two years ago, adding that life wasn’t quite easy for her as her mother had to play the role of both parents to take care of her and her sister.

The quite sudden demise of a Nigerian bride who passed away one day after her wedding to her beau in Delta state has thrown her husband and family members into mourning.
According to a journalist, Sapele Oghenek the lady whose name is yet to be identified as at the time of filing of this report, is said to have married on Saturday, but tragically lost her life on Sunday.

Five years ago, the couple revealed how they had suffered the painful loss of their first child 24 hours after her birth and 14 hours of labour.
The couple lost a full term pregnancy with Tito painfully writing about it on her blog in July of 2015. They welcomed their son Joshua in July of 2016 where she wrote at the time,
On Sept 7th 2015, I had a miscarriage. I was 10 weeks pregnant.
Ironically, this happened on the day I got baptised. It was during church service and I spent a significant amount of the service in the bathroom; Bleeding.
I still went ahead with my baptism because it became so clear to me that I needed that baptism. I needed the cleansing. I needed to be refreshed and to start anew and as I stepped in that pool of water, I felt God so strongly. I knew I was walking into a new beginning and everything prior was being washed away.
I still don’t know how that water did not turn red considering how heavily I had been bleeding a few minutes before but I had no doubt that something changed with that baptism.
This is probably not what you expected to read. After all, I am the same person who shared my testimony after the loss of my daughter.
I am sure like me, you expected the next part of my story to have been more straightforward. Especially now that you probably know I gave birth to my precious son in July 2016, a year after I shared my testimony.
However, please do not think God did not know what I was going to experience because he did and he prepared me to stand and I did. Praise and thanksgiving never ceased from my lips because I made a decision that no matter what happened in my life, I would praise God.
I didn’t have the answers and I was not going to spend energy, trying to figure it out but I knew God had the answers and so I left that burden to him and gave him his due as God. I was not going to try to do what only he can do. And he showed himself to truly be Yahweh because in October 2015, I got pregnant again and in July 2016, a year after I shared my first testimony, I shared another testimony because he blessed us with a beautiful son.
When I found out I was pregnant again, I was in awe at how quickly God showed up because I truly never expected it. I thought it’ll take some time and that was fine with me. I wasn’t in any particular rush to get pregnant again but God does things in ways I can’t even imagine and he decided it was time. Who am I to argue? I was so ecstatic.
I was at a point in my life where I was waking up at 3am every morning, spending time with God and growing in relationship with the Holy Spirit and everything about my pregnancy was spirit-led (it sounds like cliché christianese but it really is the truth).
I didn’t even have to do a pregnancy test to know I was pregnant. It was a dream I had that told me I was. In my dream, I was about to take a glass of alcohol and someone tapped me on my hand and said: “drop that glass, don’t you know you are pregnant?” and I just knew I was.
I told my husband and that was that. I didn’t even bother with a pregnancy test because my spirit was so connected with the spirit of God that I knew when he spoke.
This was in October and I eventually did a pregnancy test in December (just because I wanted the physical confirmation). I also didn’t want to do a test earlier because I just didn’t want to be too human about things.

The acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Prof Kemebradikumo Pondei, appeared to have passed out on Monday during an investigative hearing at the National Assembly.
Pondei collapsed where he was seated as members of the House Committee on NDDC grilled him.
The committee had grilled him for about 45 minutes before he became unresponsive.
Pondei has been rushed out of the Conference Room 231, venue of the investigative hearing on illegal spending and mismanagement of funds in the commission.
However, Nigerians on social media claim he faked it because he couldn’t answer the questions.

An arrest warrant has been issued for a Louisiana woman who left her boyfriend in a critical condition after she allegedly shot him for refusing to argue with her.
Jenalisha Lawrence, 29, has been charged with attempted second-degree murder in the shooting that left her boyfriend in a critical situation.
Police say that the suspect was the man’s ‘estranged’ girlfriend.
The shooting occurred early Saturday morning July 18, in the Caddo Heights neighborhood of Shreveport at around 7.30am in the 1400 block of Grigsby Street.
Authorities at Shreveport Police Department said they were called to the home over report of a shooting and when they arrived they found a 34-year-old man on the sidewalk suffering a gunshot wound to the body.
He was taken to Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport with life-threatening injuries and he is still listed as in critical condition, according to KXAN.
Witnesses told investigators that Lawrence shot the victim following an interaction in which the man refused to argue with her.
She fled the scene in a green Honda Accord with a primer on the left passenger’s side front door.
