Nigerian reality star, Gifty Powers, has taken to her social media page to berate those who make fun of single mothers (baby mamas).
According to the 2017 BBnaija star, that single attitude is the reason why most people don’t have kids.
She wrote on her instastory ;
The reason why the country of Nigeria is still in a mental state is that we don’t think and calculate before writing and speaking.
What’s this nonsense with the so called ”baby mama” word. Where is it written that being a baby mama is a sin abi crime ?
I am sure some of those idiots calling their greatmama baby mama are still battling getting pregnant for their partner or probably have been confirmed ”barren”..
Why not think about your current situation and leave the ones that are happy with their kids in peace.
This is the stupid reason why some of you are still battling and praying to God for kids of your own.
Give me one reason why should God give y’all kids when you don’t appreciate someone else kids or their situation relating to children ?
Do you actually think God isn’t watching y’al stupid mocking over those who are baby mamas?
And you expect God to listen to your prayers concerning having your own kids… my dear, na thunder go fire you dia…

Three people got stabbed to death and another three were left severely injured after a man went on a stabbing spree in a park in the southern English town of Reading on Saturday, June 20.
The Counter-terrorism police in the UK along with other authorities have begun investigating the multiple fatal stabbings which occurred in Forbury Gardens in the city centre around 19:00. The injured victims are in a critical condition at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
A peaceful Black Lives Matter protest took place at the park earlier on Saturday. But police have confirmed the attack was not connected to the protest.
The knife-wielding suspect, 25, was arrested near the scene on suspicion of murder after running away. He was captured by a hero lone police sergeant who reportedly rugby-tackled him to the floor.
Witnesses at the scene said the attacker targeted a group of middle-aged men ‘sitting drinking beer‘ in Forbury Gardens in Reading town centre at around 7pm on Saturday and stabbed them ‘in the neck and under the arms‘.
Personal trainer Lawrence Wort, 20, who witnessed the terrifying attack said,
‘The park was pretty full. One group of friends were sitting drinking when one lone person walked through, suddenly shouted some unintelligible words and went around, trying to stab them.
‘He stabbed three of them, severely in the neck, and under the arms, and then turned and started running towards me, and we turned and started running.
‘When he realised that he couldn’t catch us, he tried to stab another group sitting down. He got one person in the back of the neck and then, when he realised everyone was starting to run, he ran out of the park.
Speaking of the moment the suspect was arrested, a police source told the Sunday Mirror,
‘A man pulled a knife and started attacking people at random in Reading, near the Crown Court.
‘It is thought there was one attacker who has surrendered to police.
‘It appears the attack was stopped when a lone sergeant, who responded when the alarm was raised, ran to the scene, saw the attacker running away with a knife and rugby tackled him to the ground.’
A distressing video shared on social media showed four wounded people lying on grass as officers and Paramedics forensic suits gave them CPR at the scene.
After the incident, about 20 armed officers from the counter-terrorism police raided a block of flats in Reading after the stabbing attack ‘by the Libyan man‘
Sky News’ home affairs correspondent Mark White said,
“A block of flats, about two miles from the park where the stabbings took place, was raided by counter-terrorism specialist firearm officers.
“There was the sound of an explosion inside the building after all residents were taken to safety.
“The building is believed to be the home address of the 25-year-old man, understood to be a Libyan national resident in the UK, who was arrested and is now in custody.”
He added that police are now trying to establish whether the man is an extremist and whether it was a terror attack or not.
Thames Valley Police said it has launched a murder investigation but doesn’t think it’s a terrorist-related incident despite the heavy presence of their colleagues from Counter-Terrorism Command.
Detective Chief Superintendent Ian Hunter, of Thames Valley Police, said,
“We have made one arrest and at this stage we are not looking for any other people in connection with this incident.
“There is no intelligence to suggest that there is any further danger to the public, however, we urge people to remain vigilant and report anything suspicious by calling police.
“This is not currently being treated as a terrorism incident, however officers are keeping an open mind as to the motivation for the incident and are being supported by colleagues from Counter Terrorism Policing South East.”
In response to the attack, Prime Minister Boris Johnson tweeted,
“My thoughts are with all of those affected by the appalling incident in Reading and my thanks to the emergency services on the scene.”

Nigerian Author and Lawyer, Reno Omokri has taken to his social media page to share his thoughts on White/Church Wedding.
According to the former presidential aide, Church wedding is not necessary and people should emancipate themselves from religious slavery.
Reno added that contrary to popular opinion, a pastor or prophet cannot make a marriage holy and the only persons who can do that are the parents of the couple getting married.
His tweets read ;
Someone said church wedding is necessary because pastors are God’s representatives on Earth. To that man, my question is this: What are your parents? Devil’s representative? No blessing on Earth is greater than parent’s blessing. After God, parents
Many people are unmarried, though they are in love, because they cant afford a White Wedding and their parents and church insist on it. Emancipate yourselves from religious slavery. A White wedding has pagan, not Christian origin. You dont need it!
If not for space I would have listed every marriage in Scripture (about 14). Not a single one involved a church, temple or synagogue. None involved a pastor, priest or prophet. Isaiah only invited a fellow priest as a WITNESS, not as an OFFICIATOR!
No pastor, priest, or prophet can make your marriage holy. The only persons that can make your marriage holy are your parents. Ask any pastor to open to the verse that gives him and his church authority to marry you. He will start speaking English!
Isaiah was a prophet. When he wanted to marry, all he did was invite 2 witnesses. And immediately the lady became his wife (Isaiah 8:2-3). No ceremony. God made marriage EASY. It‘s humans who made it complicated. Church has no business with wedding
The power a priest/pastor has to say ‘I now pronounce you man and wife’, comes from man, not God. There is no Scriptural authority for that. God Himself pronounces you married once your parents consent to your union (Gen 2:24). It a family affair!
This is how God defined marriage-“a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one”-Gen 2:24
The ONLY people involved are
* A man
* A woman
* Parents
No pastor/church is involved! It’s a family affair
In Europe, over the centuries, first the Roman Catholic Church then other breakaway European churches, introduced elaborate white wedding and marketed it as Christian wedding, purely for monetary reasons. White wedding is more pagan than Christian
None of the above is necessary for a Christian wedding. They are all European culture. Africans were brainwashed to see White Wedding as Christians wedding. It is NOT!!!
Church has absolutely NO ROLE in a Christian wedding. Read Scripture. Marriage is purely a FAMILY AFFAIR. Parents bless it, not pastor or priest. Even the wedding Christ attended was at a HOME and He was invited as a GUEST!
Read Scripture. A Christian wedding goes like this:
1. You find a girl 2. You ask her to marry you 3. She says yes 4. You inform parents 5. You leave your parents house 6. You have a feast you can afford

Nollywood Actress, Destiny Etiko has opened up on her journey thus far in the very competitive Nigerian movie industry.
Destiny Etiko is one actress that is blessed with a ‘coke-bottle’ shape and that might lead many into believing that her ‘curves’ open doors of opportunity for her but the Actress has revealed that isn’t correct.
According to the actress, one needs to have content to thrive in the industry and she’s also a child of grace.
Speaking with Saturday Beats, Etiko said
‘’having a nice shape was not what made me popular, whether you’re sexy or not you must have content. You can’t be a star by being beautiful or fair or voluptuous. Sexiness and beauty can only make people like you but it won’t keep you there for long.
‘’My ‘sexiness’ didn’t give me any special privilege, although it’s an added advantage. Another thing that helped me is that I carry grace. When you have the grace to make it, no one can stop you.”

Nigerian singer, Olalekan Fadeyi, popularly known as Azadus, speaks about the joy of being a COVID-19 survivor.
While some people still insist that the COVID-19 virus is a disease of the elite, ace singer, Olalekan Fadeyi, popularly known as Azadus, speaks to MOBOLA SADIQ about the joy of being a survivor.
How was the experience at the isolation centre?
In the isolation centre, they give us drugs in the morning and another set of drugs at night. The hospital took care of our breakfast, lunch and dinner. You’ll expect some negative reports about the COVID-19 treatments because you can’t imagine receiving good treatment in Nigeria but God has blessed us with the governor of Lagos State who is helping with the fight. It’s unbelievable that people think that I’m exaggerating about the good treatment I received. Some people don’t even believe that any good can come out of this country.
How did you know that you had contracted the dreaded virus?
I was initially treating malaria for about two weeks. Afterwards my doctor advised me to go for a test since the drugs he had placed me on were not making me better. I therefore called the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and went for the (COVID-19) test. The doctors told me that the results would be ready after 72 hours but I told them I couldn’t wait for that long. Physically, they saw me exhibiting all the (COVID-19) symptoms. So, I was admitted. I was coughing profusely, I coughed non-stop for like 10 minutes. I had a high temperature, body pains, diarrheal, and other symptoms associated with malaria. In fact, before I went for the test I could cough from 9pm to 6am non-stop. COVID-19 is very deadly and people with underlining health conditions are likely to pack up (die) easily.
Some people believe that the COVID-19 drugs you posted on your page are malaria drugs, is that true?
Those people saying that must be pharmacists or doctors or just ignorant people. Part of the drugs that they’ll give you at the isolation centre are malaria drugs and they’ll also give you some other drugs but some of those drugs, you can’t get them from any pharmacy. You can only get them from isolation centres. Those drugs are very strong.
How long were you at the isolation centre?
I was at the isolation centre for a week. That is the basic number of days you’ll spend at the isolation centre. However, if the doctors see that you’re recuperating fast, they can now release you to go home after one week. But they would give you drugs. You would then continue your medications at home. This is not because they can’t continue to take care of you but because of the number of people in critical condition that are in need of the bed spaces.
How did you self-isolate since you went home after one week?
My children were not at home with me, they were with their grandmother. My wife also did a test and she was negative.
What were your fears when you tested positive to COVID-19?
I was not scared for a second, but I was emotional at some point. I was emotional because my wife was scared and started crying because of my persistent cough. I couldn’t bear it so I started crying when I saw her in that state. That was the only time that I got emotional. I knew God was going to get me out of it. She also knew that, but she’s human after all.
Have you been certified free of COVID-19 now?
It’s now one week that I was discharged from the hospital. When you have COVID-19, you can’t hold your breath for five seconds, you’ll start coughing. You won’t have energy at all and won’t have an appetite. So, when the doctors assessed me and saw that I was not exhibiting any of the symptoms, they told me to come back for another test but because of fear of stepping out of my house that I could be infected again, I have not gone back to do another test. The doctor asked me a lot of questions on telephone to ascertain if I was still at risk or a risk to anybody but he was satisfied with my answers. I’m certain that I’m now healed. Next week, I’ll have summoned the courage to go out.
Some people have said that the cost of doing a C0VID-19 test is expensive?
That’s the problem with rumours. The Lagos State Government didn’t collect a dime from me. From the test, result, medications, meals which included water, were free of charge. Note that I was not drinking sachet water; it was bottled water that was given to us. Some people think I was paid by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to say this. But it’s not true. You don’t want to put yourself in a situation where you can personally find out if my story is true or not. But if people still disbelieve it, they can pay a visit to the isolation centres.
What’s the lesson you learnt after this scary ordeal?
When I was at the centre, I noticed that the nurses and doctors who attended to me were always in a hurry to leave once they asked me questions and got answers. But when I stopped one nurse and asked her why she was in a hurry, she said she was not comfortable in her protective suit because the suit was very hot. These are people that are treating COVID-19 but not been treated well. Now, if you say you need to quickly get back to work and make money, you may put yourself at a risk. Until there’s an antidote, we need to still stay and keep safe.
A video of the touching moment late Ibidunni Ighodalo’s body was brought out by pallbearers at the Ikoyi Cemetary for burial, has surfaced on the internet.
The burial program, which kicked off moments ago started with the pallbearers bringing in her corpse in a silver chrome casket.

Crystal Palace striker Andre Ayew believes ‘football won’t be the same’ without fans following the return of the English Premier League.
All games in England will be without fans as authorities take precautionary measures to curb the spread of COVID-19. The English Premier League resumed on Wednesday after a three month break due to the outbreak of coronavirus.
Ayew and his Crystal Palace teammates travel to the Vitality Park to play Bournemouth on Saturday.
“Football is my life; I grew up in football. It is the only thing I literally know how to do and the only thing that keeps me busy,” he told PalaceTV.
“Not having football for two months, I was really sad, not depressed, but not too far from it. Things are moving slowly, there is football on TV, it is a good thing for me. I am really, really excited for the first game back of the season.
“Now we are resuming the season, but it’s like a new season basically because we’ve had maybe two, three weeks to train together, things change, I cannot explain it, but without fans it is not the same thing, we all know how important the fans are.”
The 28-year old has scored eight goals in the English Premier League for Crystal Palace this season.
