Austrian-Nigerian musician, Rose May Alaba has bemoaned how difficult it was for her to find genuine relationships because of her social status.

Rose May, the sister of Real Madrid player David Alaba, claimed that when people hear her brother’s name, they immediately view her family as moneymakers.

Despite her family history, the singer lamented in a recent interview with 88.5 UFM how hard it is for her to find sincere individuals who share her vision.

She said; “To be honest, the hustle is real. Everybody wants to make money. And I feel like once people hear my last name because it’s connected to a big soccer player which is my brother [David Alaba], they see us as a bank. They think we grow money on trees. But that is not the case.

The skit maker, M Star comedy approached an aboki man going about his daily hustle and stretched forward a bundle of money asking that he takes it.

The surprised aboki tried to pick only a bill but the skit maker told him to take everything as it is for him. He informs the aboki that his fans told him to give the money to a random person on the street and he was chosen.

As the aboki first took the money, he was told to say “more love to the street” but he could not. He returned the money and said he does not want.

She stated in her message that her boyfriend had helped her elder brother in getting a job, but refused to accommodate him.

Nigerian-British Lawyer and Entrepreneur, Chioma Ikokwu has disclosed how she endured domestic violence consistently from her ex-lover.

Speaking on Toke Moments podcast with Toke Makinwa, the lawyer revealed that she was once admitted to the hospital because of the bruises she sustained from one of their encounter.

She added that she endured the maltreatment from her estranged lover because she believed that he would change his ways, which later proved abortive.

Recounting her experience, she stated,

Karimot, the sister of the late singer Mohbad’s widow, Wunmi, has claimed that Wunmi contracted a series of infections from her deceased husband.

She made this revelation in a recent video she shared online, where she heavily criticized the late singer’s father, Mr. Joseph Aloba, over his demand for a DNA test to confirm that Mohbad is the biological father of his son, Liam.

Karimot asserted that Mohbad’s father is insinuating that Wunmi cheated on her husband, whereas she was the one treating multiple infections she contracted from the deceased singer.

She also dared Mr. Joseph to confidently deny knowledge of Wunmi using different antibiotics to treat the infections contracted from Mohbad.

She also alleged that the late singer lived a promiscuous life and exposed her sister to different sexually transmitted infections.

According to Karimot, the family intentionally chose to keep mute about the dark side of the late singer’s life, but Mr. Joseph is pushing her to speak up.

Regarding the DNA issue, Karimot stated that if required in court, it would be conducted. However, she gave the condition that a DNA test must confirm that Mr. Joseph Aloba is the biological father of Mohbad before one will be conducted on Liam.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested the popular Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky.

Confirming his arrest, the spokesperson of the commission, Dele Oyewale, stated that the controversial crossdresser was arrested for the mutilation and abuse of the Nigerian Naira.

Bobrisky reportedly spent the night in a cell at the Lagos command office.

“He is with us. We arrested him over currency mutilation and the abuse of the Naira. He is in our facility in Lagos state,” Oyewale said.

He added that Bobrisky would be charged to court soon.

He asserts that VeryDarkMan spoke a lot of erroneous statements against the Nigerian police and other top standing citizens which landed him into the trouble he is currently in.

He however states that detention can only be for 48 hours unless some bail conditions has not been met.

Barrister Pelumi delving into the Bobrisky issue, informs that cross dressing may be a moral offence but not a legal sin. To this effect, he was quoted,

I have also seen a lot of posts stating that the Police have refused to arrest Bobrisky. Kindly note the following: a. Cross-dressing is not a crime under Nigerian law as of today. Dressing like another sex and even identifying as the same is not ipso facto a crime under Nigerian Law.

What exactly is a crime in Nigeria is the marriage of same-sex couples or registering a gay club. Even when an individual is married as gay in the United Kingdom and his gay partner is living in Nigeria, such marriage is only invalid and unenforceable in Nigeria but not a crime except when they come and live together in Nigeria as a married couple. Therefore, your knowledge that a person is gay does not amount to a crime as such people also have their fundamental rights in law. The only offence in law is marriage sex which must be proved by partners conducting the marriage or living together.

However, a person who openly states in public that he or she is into homosexuality may only at best be arrested for corrupting public morality, which can be contended as subjective.

Popular gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey has filed a petition with the Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun against four social media users who defamed him.

The singer, through his legal team, petitioned the police against the suspects for alleging that he fathered the son of fellow gospel singer Mercy Chinwo.

In a video circulating online, the lawyers urged the police to urgently address the petition against the four suspects – Okoronkwo Ejike, Kingsley Ibeh, Terrence Ekot, and DJ Spoiltkid.

The user who identified as @fukmarr had shared a picture of the snack as a creative cooking idea that he just thought of.

He had shared the dessert with a caption that read; “Nah think I just started something”

Hoping to get positive responses from internet users he got the opposite as they all bombarded him with hilarious comments and questions.

While some questioned him if he was Ghanaian, others advised him not to change the way samosa has always been.

Viral video of kids performing stunts on a moving truck in Ghana has caused an uproar online with social media users reminiscing about the stunts which they identified as “Aplanke” in their early days.

The little boys were recorded by an unknown person in a moving vehicle behind the truck, which was carrying a shipping container on the main road while they were hanging and changing their stunt styles with the rails of the container.

The video revealed the boys trailing on the road as they held onto the truck for support to perform their stunts; one of the boys laid on the container upturned.

However, some netizens recalled that the risky act of the boys was very rampant among young boys in their early days, stating that it is normal but a dangerous act while others opined that the kids were meant to be cautioned and punished.

Vincent Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan has continued his ‘activism’ on social media which is targeted towards imprisoning the transgender, Bobrisky.

VDM has just been released from cell on Sunday where he spent nine days. He was arrested due to an allegation he made that the top police officials were sleeping with Bobrisky and that’s why they turned a blind eye to his ‘gay’ atrocities.

It is then shocking to see that VeryDarkMan has returned to his self-conceived conspiracies on why the transgender is still a free man roaming the streets.

On this new video he made, he was heard saying,

“Staying in the cell is a little price to pay to right the wrongs in the society because I am going to have children in this country and I will not allow people like Bobrisky negatively influence the upcoming generation… I will still say it, someone at the top is knacking Bobrisky, if not, he would have been arrested… una go arrest me tire.” (non verbatim)

VeryDarkMan further said that since it was said that crossdressing is not illegal in the country, he would go to particular places to exhibit his own ‘feminine’ acts.

And that he would start using the female toilets in public so everyone can be mad together.

Popular Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has asserted that many extended families in Igbo land are at odds over old grievances.

In a post shared on his Instagram page, the 42-year-old actor mentioned that these families are engaged in conflicts because of long-standing issues that some have even forgotten the root.

According to him, despite the beef and envy in those families, they still attend church every Sunday like hypocrites.
