Some Nigerian officers took to social media to share photos of the rare animal specie they caught while on duty in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
One of the officers shared the photos in a popular Facebook group, some days back. Sharing the photos, the officers wrote,
“So we killed this yesterday while doing our job in Port Harcourt Rivers State”
Seeing the photos, quite a number of people were puzzled and were unable to identify or give the name of the two animals they caught, however, few graduates of Forestry and Animal Husbandry identified the animals as the African Palm Civet.
Some of the wildlife experts in the group took to the comments section and slammed the officer who posted the photos and schooled him on the need for wildlife preservation.

A woman has died shortly after she was delivered of triplets.
According to reports, the woman had waited almost 9 years to have her own child but sadly, she died shortly after she welcomed her bundles of joy.
A twitter user with the handle @Sir_Dongizle who shared the story on the micro-blogging platform was so devastated that he was forced to question why God would allow such happen.
His initial tweet read ;
So after almost 9 years of marriage and no child my aunty just gave birth to triplets, God is amazing, mother in laws should do better.
However, barely 24 hours later, he gave an update that she had died.
”My aunty just died, God why????? ”, he wrote.

News reaching us this hour is of Popular Nigerian entertainer, Peter Okoye with his wife, Lola Omotayo and daughter, Aliona all testing positive for novel Coronavirus.
In a new update on his social media page, the singer cum dancer revealed that himself, his spouse and his daughter tested positive for the dreaded disease as he admonished his followers to try and stay safe.
According to him, the past three weeks has been “hell” for himself and his family as he’s been ill with the disease but had been keeping it to himself.
He says the reason why he finally came out to give the revelation of himself and his family being ill of the disease is to encourage people to indulge in the precautionary steps to fight against the disease.
He shared how he might have been the carrier of the disease to his home which affected two of his domestic staff and later affected his daughter, Aliona. He revealed how his courageous wife, Lola Omotayo, who while taking care of their daughter also contracted the virus because she couldn’t leave the little lass to self isolate on her own.
Peter however, in his narrative stated that himself, his wife, daughter and domestic staff as have of this moment, all tested negative for the infectious diseases.
In the update on his social media page, the entertainer wrote,

I know you guys absolutely love to spread all sorts of rumours and stories for your entertainment and I’ve known from Day 1 what to expect from blogs and the internet especially with myself and family being in the public space. I have never once come out to respond to any blogger or react to any rumour mongers before as quite frankly it has never been my nature to engage in online battles or pay too much mind to social media.
But I must say I have found quite disturbing the stories of domestic abuse between myself and David and for once feel a need to speak up. Domestic violence and abuse is NO JOKE and not something to ever take lightly. Never has there ever been an incident of abuse in my home. He has never in his life lifted a finger to touch me and I have never so much as even pushed him. I believe with everything we peddle as human beings whether offline or online, we should have a bit of fear of God more so when speaking on things we know absolutely nothing of. I’m not sure where in the world such stories have started from, but I want to ensure everyone showing concern whether fake or real, that such has never and will never happen. Further, we do not take such allegations of abuse lightly at all and if such persists then we will be jointly taking up action against the perpetrators of these disgusting rumors.
To the beautiful young ones out there, never ever allow a man to lay his hands on you while you keep quiet. If you were ever to suffer such, ensure you SPEAK UP! With all that is going on in the world right now, we most certainly can not sit around and condone or encourage women to condone such!

In the photo making the rounds on social media, the husband presented the cake which was shaped like the spiky creature, usually used to depict the deadly Coronavirus. The cake also had the ‘now famous’ face-mask modeled on it.
His wife, Dr. Augustina Angelina Sylverken of Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicines, appeared extremely excited by the show of love from her husband.
In new reports that’s beginning to make the rounds on social media, hibernating Nigerian music icon and record label executive, Davido has allegedly chased his road manager, Aloma DMW out of the DMW mansion he acquired for the DMW crew few months ago.
In the reports, Aloma who is said to have proclaimed himself as the landlord of the 5-bedroom duplex located in the Lekki area of Lagos, is reported to have been making life difficult for other occupants of the building.

The triplet brothers, with names, Chinedu, Chukwuebuka and Kenechukwu got married to triplet sisters, Dumalu, Okwuoma and Chinwe.
In a recent interview with The Punch, the newly weds talked about their wedding and unique love story.
When asked why the decision, Chinedu said,
“It was our wish, while we were growing up, to have it like that. It was also our mum’s wish for us to marry at the same time. She always imagined the three of us getting married on the same day. She felt it would look very nice and prayed for it to happen because it was not going to be easy for all of us to be ready at the same time.
She died in 2013 so unfortunately, she wasn’t there to witness it. If she were alive, she would have been excited. I know she would have gone down on her knees to thank God for answering her prayer and making her wish come true.
We are not based in one state so we have different stories of how we told our wives. The discussions were done separately.”
On whether their wives objected to the idea of marrying on the same day, Chinedu said,
“When we mentioned it to them, they were excited and had not seen it happen before. So, they were eager to witness it. We are grateful to them because they sacrificed their idea of the kind of wedding they wanted for it.”
A Japanese startup firm has unveiled a smart face mask that connects to smartphones and lets users make calls remotely, without speaking directly into their mobiles.
The mask, said to be capable of sending text messages via speech, is being marketed by its developer, Donut Robotics as a way to remain connected during the Coronavirus era.
Dubbed the “C-Mask,” the device fits over regular, fabric-based masks. It connects to an app via Bluetooth, enabling it to transcribe speech to text messages, which are then sent via the user’s smartphone.
It can also translate from Japanese into eight other languages and amplify the user’s voice, in case they can’t be heard through the mask.
“We worked hard for years to develop a robot and we have used that technology to create a product that responds to how the coronavirus has reshaped society,” said Donut Robotics CEO Taisuke Ono.
Japan will be the first market to receive the C-Mask, with 5,000 units shipping from September at a price of 3,980 Japanese yen (roughly $37.23).
Donut Robotics is also aiming to sell the smart mask in the United States, Europe and China, where fears of a second coronavirus wave are a recurring feature of the current social and economic landscape.
For Donut Robotics, the message-sending and translation functions are only the beginning of its plans for the C-Mask. At the moment, the smart mask can also be used to take notes and minutes, but the Japanese company says on its website that it’s aiming to expand into augmented reality and virtual reality capabilities at a later date.
Nigerian actor Kunle Adegbite has reacted to the viral video of Ray Hushpuppi’s arrest which was released by the Dubai police on Thursday, June 25.
The actor in his post seemed to show a sympathetic side for the alleged fraudster as he noted that before Hushpuppi’s arrest media outlets had been referring to him as a self-acclaimed billionaire whenever a report was written about him.
According to the actor that was disrespectful to the person of the Instagram celebrity.

A Nigerian Twitter user, Nenye has used the platform to give the narrative of how an Uber driver once cancelled her trip when he found out her destination was a hotel.
According to Nenye, she said the e-hailing driver, when he contacted her on the phone, asked for her destination and she mentioned the name of a hotel. She shared how the inquisitive driver tried to know about her purpose of going to the hotel and she replied him sarcastically, saying she was going “to do prostitution”.
Nenye claimed that after she gave him her sarcastic response, he hung up and cancelled the trip on her.

Controversial Nollywood actress and comedian, Etinosa Idemudia has shared her two cents about the arrest of Dubai-based Nigerian big boy, Hushpuppi by FBI and Interpol.
Etinosa, in her reaction to the infamous arrest, hinted that the girlfriends of these internet fraudsters should also be arrested.

A Nigerian lady has taken to her social media page to give a testimony on how she was saved from an impending cooking gas explosion.
The lady identified with the handle @missyposhkitchen on Instagram, said she noticed the unusual way her gas cylinder gets empty before the due date and when she finally called a technician to check the cause, it was revealed that rats had eaten the pipe which was causing the leak.
She advised her followers to always check their gas properly before cooking everyday because the leak might have led to an explosion but thankfully, she noticed on time and that disaster was avoided.

This is a great testimony! I noticed my gas has been using few days to finish over 2months. I’ve been worried what has been causing the gas to finish under few days gas that used to last 3weeks to 1month started using 1week. So today i called engineer to check this and when he brought out the gas to check the back we found out rat has eaten the pipe of the gas?♂️?? and I’ve been cooking with it like that over 2months
My advice to everyone out there always check your gas properly before starting to cook everyday it is very important. Never feel lazy to use few seconds to check the pipe connector before cooking.

Canadian popstar, Justin Bieber has filed a $20million defamation lawsuit against the two ladies, Danielle and Kadi, who accused him of raping them.
The married 26-year-old was left with no choice than to refute the claims of the two women who had taken to their respective Twitter pages to accuse him of sexually assaulting them in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the pop singer reveals that he has “indisputable documentary evidence” to prove the sexual assault claims are “outrageous and fabricated lies.
Bieber claims the tweets by the ladies are “malicious” as they appear to be a coordinated effort to put dirt on his name.
One of the ladies, Danielle had on the 20th of June, tweeted that the Canadian popstar molested her on 9th of March, 2014, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin, Texas.
Danielle claimed that she met Bieber while attending an event in Texas and said herself and her friends were invited back to the Canadian singer’s hotel where she was raped.
Bieber however, claimed there was no truth to Danielle’s allegation and he can prove it.
According to the court documents, Bieber never had a room at the hotel but was instead staying at a nearby rental property with his then-girlfriend, Selena Gomez.
The other lady, Kadi, had claimed the singer assaulted her at the Langham Hotel in NYC around 2:30 AM on the morning of May 5, 2015.
Yet again, the singer says this is factually impossible and calls Kadi’s social media post “an elaborate hoax.”
According to him, Kadi is a superfan who waits outside hotels for him, is desperate to meet him and desperate for fame.
However, Bieber claims Kadi has never met him and says she even admitted to such in her own tweets after the date she now claims he sexually assaulted her.
For the May 5, 2015 allegation, Bieber said Kadi fabricated it because she was aware that the singer was present at the Met Gala.
Bieber said he did attend the event, but went to a private after-party afterwards where he stayed until almost 4 am, then hit up a hot dog stand. Bieber claims there is photographic evidence and several witnesses to this and he calls the 2:30 AM allegation made by Kadi an “impossibility – a poor, but a damaging, fabrication.”
In the legal document, according to TMZ, Bieber thinks the two social media account may, in fact, be run by the same person.
A man believed to be a centenarian has recovered from the novel Coronavirus in Ethiopia. Aba Tilahun Woldemichael’s family says he is 114, but there is no birth certificate to confirm his actual age.
Dr. Hiluf Abate at Yeka Kotebe hospital who treated Aba told the BBC’s Newsday programme that he’d tested positive for the virus when a random screening process took place in his neighbourhood in the capital, Addis Ababa.
Within four days of his admission to the severe coronavirus ward in Yeka Kotebe hospital, Aba Tilahun’s condition deteriorated as the virus took hold and he was put on oxygen, Dr Hiluf said.
According to him, the centenarian spent 14 days at the hospital, and was treated with oxygen for more than a week.
He said,
“It’s really incredible that he survived being so old and we are happy that he has been discharged.”
The Yeka Kotebe hospital said they could not confirm that its patient is 114 years old, but the medical team says he is definitely older than 100 and has estimated that he is 109.
Aba Tilahun Woldemichael is now being looked after at home by his 24-year-old grandson Binyam Lulseged Tilahun. Mr. Binyam added that his grandfather is healthy and doing well despite his age, but the after-effects of the virus had weakened his voice.
Ethiopia has recorded more than 5,000 confirmed cases and 81 deaths from Coronavirus.
