A Nigerian man has shocked Twitter users after he took to the platform to share photos of an apartment a landlord in Aguda, Surulere, is renting out for 350,000 Naira per annum.
He added that though the rent is 350K, the total package will cost the tenant 520,000 Naira.
Sharing photos of the interior of the apartment, the Nigerian writer/lawyer wrote: “Apparently, a landlord at Aguda in Surulere wants to collect N350, 000 as basic rent for this. N520,000 total package. You people in #Lagos have your consciences seared with hot iron, because what in the dog shed is this? Hell is too mild for house agents.”
Twitter users reacted by stating that the apartment is not ”worthy for animals to live in let alone humans.”

People were even more shocked to discover the amount of affluence that these people possess. When one person reacted to the tweet of a gentleman who posed by two Rolls Royce by questioning how his dad possesses the two exotic whips, the gentleman went on to respond that it’s actually three.
When another person said the same gentleman has for himself, 3 BMWs, the gentleman yet again corrected them by saying he has 7.
This obviously sparked a topic of conversation on the platform and it seems to be never ending as it’s still trending on Twitter.
People touch on how low-key they keep their affluence, while others talk on how the same Northerners though have some of the wealthiest people in the country, still have most of the poorest people in the country too.

A rather distraught young Nigerian boy made himself a trending topic on social media after he took to his page to pen an “emotional” note addressed to his “ex-girlfriend” who dumped him some time this year.
The young lad, who is of questionable age and goes by the name ‘Se Qu Ence‘ on Facebook, said in his note that he learnt three deep lessons from the heartbreak he felt following their breakup.

Nigerian singing sensation, Yemi Alade has some things to say to her haters and she’s taken to her Twitter page to address such people.
In a new tweet on her page, the songstress addresses the category of people who find pain from her success as she says if they’re pained that she has a successful singing career, then they should go ahead and do theirs.
She wrote,

Lagos state police command has reportedly arrested a young man identified simply as Chima, for allegedly setting his pregnant elder sister, Victoria, 20, on fire at their residence around CAC Bus Stop in Okokomaiko, Ojo, on May 14.
According to reports, Chima and Victoria —who was reported to be two months pregnant— were on the day of the incident, in the kitchen of the restaurant they operated as a family.
Trouble began when their mother scolded Victoria for leaving their residence to cohabit with men. An argument then ensued between both women and in the process, Victoria slapped her mother.
Infuriated by what his sister had just done, Chima reportedly grabbed a keg filled with petrol and hit her with it. The content poured out with most of it touching Victoria, which ignited fire leaving her with severe burns.
Victoria was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital on Kemberi road, Okokomaiko but the doctors there rejected her. She was then referred to the Alimosho General Hospital, Igando where she was confirmed dead by the doctors.
Chima was said to have attempted fleeing the scene after realizing the harm he had done to his sister but was restrained by youths in the community who later handed him over to the police.
It was learnt that their mother who tried to put out the fire also sustained burn injuries on her legs.
Confirming the incident, spokesperson of the state police command, Bala Elkana, said Chima has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) Yaba for further investigation.
The Rivers state government has announced that the manager of the hotel which was demolished by Governor Nyesom Wike for violating the lockdown order he issued, is among the 27 new cases of people who tested positive for Coronavirus in the state.
In the announcement issued on Sunday May 24th, the state government stated that the Manager of Prodest Hotel, Bariledum Azoroh tested positive for COVID-19 alongside 26 other people.
The Rivers state’s commissioner for information, Paul Nsirim recalled how some COVID-19 Taskforce members who went to enforce the Executive Order at same hotel, were allegedly “brutalized and dehumanised leading to the death of one of them.”
The statement reads;
Rivers State has recorded 27 new positive coronavirus cases.
The Manager of Prodest Hotel, Eleme is among the new positive cases.
This latest development validates the State Government’s proactive approach towards the fight against COVID-19.
Recall that Prodest Hotel was demolished two weeks ago because the owners violated Executive Order 7 which banned the operation of hotels.
The COVID-19 Taskforce members from the Local Government who went to enforce the Executive Order were brutalized and dehumanised leading to the death of one of them.

In the latest update of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country, 313 new cases have been reported as of Sunday evening, May 24th by the National Centre for Disease Control.
In a new update on their Twitter page, the NCDC reports that there’s new cases in Lagos, FCT, Rivers, Edo, Kano, Ogun, Ebonyi, Nasarawa, Delta, Oyo, Plateau, Kaduna, Kwara, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Niger, and Anambra.
A 19-year-old teenage girl identified as Margaret Adiya Ikumu, who resides in Lagos, has narrated how she feigned her own death on social media just to escape financial pressure from her mother.
Spokesperson of the Lagos state police command, Bala Elkana, stated that the news of her death was subsequently posted on social media which led the family to petition the command.
In a statement released Sunday, May 24th, Bala said the command on May 15, received a petition signed by one Tony Iji on behalf of Margaret’s family that their attention was drawn to a post on Facebook stating that Margaret died a few days ago and was secretly buried by two of her friends, Marvelous Mary and Nneka Buddy at Ajah area.
The family further stated that they were able to establish contact with the said friends who confirmed to them that their daughter had died.
In the course of the investigation, the police discovered that Magaret was actually alive, and simply fake her death because of her mother’s financial demands.
“They told the police that the friends informed them that they were instructed by Margaret not to allow members of her family to know anything about her death and that they were authorized by Margaret to secretly bury her. To make them believe that the girl is dead, they sent WhatsApp chats to a member of the girl’s family with picture of a casket showing that the girl is buried. The known phone number of the girl was permanently switched off. The family also got in touch with a man on phone who claimed to be her boyfriend. He corroborated the claim that she is dead.” the statement read
Margaret who was working as a housemaid in an estate at Ajah, was reported to the police by her employer. According to the police, she is angry with her mother and uncles, over their inability to sponsor her education.
When her employer saw the report of her purported death, they quickly informed the Police and she was brought to Ajah Police Station. In her statement, she confessed to having created the Facebook account and posted her obituary with intent to keep her family away from her. She said her mother was putting financial pressure on her, constantly demanding that she send money to her. The girl is apparently bitter with her mother and uncles, over their inability to sponsor her education after the death of her father. Her sojourn to Lagos is to work, save some money and return to school.
She admitted using her employer’s daughter’s photograph Dr Nimechi Ugorji (without her knowledge) in the fictitious Facebook account she created, as profile picture. After posting the obituary notice on the account, her Uncle downloaded the profile picture and reposted, calling on members of the public who know the person on the photograph to report to the nearest Police Station” the statement read

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has said it will take a miracle for the Coronavirus pandemic to disappear.
Adeboye said this while preaching via Dove TV this morning. According to the clergyman, the pandemic would not disappear completely but however, it will soon subside.

Music executive, Jude Okoye has finally reacted to the allegations leveled against him by his label’s former artist, Cynthia Morgan.
Cynthia had claimed she lost everything including her ‘Stage Name’ to Jude’s Northside Inc Label due to a contract disagreement but the elder Okoye brother has now countered everything she said in her instalive video.

In wake of the displeasing ordeals levied against defunct music group, PSquare and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, former artiste under them, Mr May D has also expressed his displeasure at the treatment he received from them.
In a recent disclosure on his social media, May D revealed that he was made to sleep with drivers and cook in the same room without a bed in it while the twins stayed in one of their mansions and the other wing of the mansion was unoccupied.
According to May D, when he was with the then functional group, he didn’t have a bank account – he claimed that he was made to share a room and toilet with their cook and driver despite the fact that their other duplex was empty.
May D said,
“When I speak , people think I’m ungrateful, but the truth will always come out one way or the other last last cuz I’m a covenant child!”
One Okikiola then replied, alleging that the cause of his own ordeal was that he was greedy, he wrote;
“Fvck u retard! Do you know I was with Psquare since 2008 I never had a bank account!!”
“How can you say greed when I never billed them for anything I have ever done for them in my life! From writing credit and vocal credit on the invasion album … ask them if I was ever greedy! Just let them say it!”

Veteran Nigerian actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has revealed that she’s back to music which is her first love and this time around, no gate of hell can prevail against her motion.
The actress took to her IG page recently to announce that she has returned to music and has released some new songs on major streaming platforms.
She went on to tell her fans she was not just being a source of motivation when she declared she was going to do all she had wanted to do post Covid-19 pandemic, but she’s actually a go-getter.

A young gentleman who had for years, been experiencing some health challenges in the form of cancer, shared details of how he overcame the illness and come out even stronger.
@Tawandaforever on Twitter, revealed that he was plagued with brain cancer and had done three major surgeries, two separate radiotherapy treatments and had to learn how to walk, talk and eat from scratch.
In a tweet on his page, he shares the story to inspire people into believing that anything is possible as he revealed that he was eventually able to beat the cancer, and graduated with a distinction even after missing school for two years
