To Sammie Peters, the 60 year old wife of Afro juju exponent, Sir Shina Peters, as long as her husband returns home to her, any side chic can go to hell!

Sammie Peter’s who celebrated her 60th birthday party penultimate week in Lagos amidst pomp and pageantry, opened up on her almost-40-year-old union with the handsome musician who will soon be 62 years old.

Speaking exclusively to Kemi Ashefon during an interview at their Lagos home, Sammie Peters revealed that their marriage had been intact despite all odds because she decided to understand what makes her kind of marriage work.

“I’m married to a musician and I knew from the beginning that women don’t allow musicians to rest. The journey of marriage has been hectic, beautiful, challenging but never rocky. I’ve never thought of divorce in the union and neither has my husband.

Even with some concubines lurking around her handsome husband?

She said, “That has not affected my marriage. I’d always said and believed that I’d rather share my husband than lose him to any other woman. That has always been my stance even as a young wife. This is not to encourage my husband or other husbands out there to cheat on their wives, but I adopted that attitude to stay happy and not develop high blood pressure. What I cannot change, I pray to God and He answers me. Nothing my husband does affects me. My love for him is unconditional and nothing can separate me from my husband. I understand him perfectly, we love each other and he has always respected me. He has never brought another woman to our matrimonial home. I love my husband, I would always love him and I don’t think the love will reduce no matter what happens to us.”

Still talking in glowing terms about her husband, Sammie Peters recalled how she met him. She said, “I met Sir Shina Peters when I was 21. Our parents were close and at a stage they claimed we were related. But we are not—we are just from the same town. We have been together all these years.”

Sammie advised women on the best approach to living happily in a marriage without suffering from high blood pressure. “When going into marriage, ask God for patience. Respect your husband even when he has done something wrong. Let him have his food and don’t shout on him. Give room for dialogue and allow him to tell lies even when you know he is a liar. Moreover, if you can just look away and know that men are natural cheats, you would be at peace and pray to God to make your husband respect you and the home. Even if he’s cheating, pray that he doesn’t embarrass you and he should be respectful about those affairs.”
She didn’t spare side chics either. “Women are women’s problems. Side chics are heartless and would be dating a married man. You break another woman’s home just because of money. Don’t make another woman cry. Leave their husbands alone,” she said.

Sandra Iheuwa, Ubi Franklin’s 4th baby mama has reacted to Toyin Lawani’s Instagram post about women blocking fathers from seeing their kids as punishment when a relationship goes bad.

Recall it was reported earlier that Toyin Lawani stated that women who do such can’t replace a father, no matter how hard they try.

Reacting to the stylist’s Instagram post, Sandra Iheuwa stated that some women do not block kids from their dads. According to the businesswoman, some men just don’t want to be in their child’s life, have love for them, see or hold them even at birth and after birth.

She further added that if the man doesn’t want to be a participating parent, it’s best he stays away as a child is better off that way.

Sandra wrote;

Some women do not block kids from their dad, some men just don’t want to be in their child’s life or have love for them to even see or hold them even at birth and after birth……if the man doesn’t want to be a participating parent it’s best he stays where he is and stays away because at times the kids will be better off without such father…..you can’t force them to parent. #truestory

In a rejoinder comment after being told that the man may not be avoiding the child but the mother of the child who might be dramatic, she insisted that the father is avoiding the child irrespective of how the mom behaves.

Sandra wrote;

The father is avoiding the child irrespective of how the mom behaves there are other avenues of seeing or being in the child’s life if the father doesn’t want to deal with the mother for whatever reason. There is no excuse whatsoever the father can call the mother chat with her all day but never for once ask about the child or schedule a day to see the child. You haven’t dealt with this kind of men before they will create excuses upon excuses for no seeing their own child. If the woman was dramatic or whatever why then release inside her and get her pregnant? ? it takes 2 to tangle. Some women are not the problem here. You haven’t met a dead beat and you do you will understand

Popular Nigeran police officer Dolapo Badmus who welcomed a baby girl with her husband in December 2019 has revealed the struggles she went through yo convince her children to start eating Nigerian rice.

The Police PRO took to her social media page to reveal how she made it happen.

Her post reads ;

” So, my children finally agreed to adjust their taste buds to accept and eat Nigerian rice after I’ve told them stories of Igbemo rice, Ofada rice, Gboko rice….how delicious they could taste depending on who fried the stew? I cajoled them to understand how lucky they are because the ones they will eat now is already processed and make them feel very lucky because those of our period had us do the processing of washing and ensuring no stone is left in it or else you will have my mother to battle for a whole long week for making her gnashed her teeth on stone, I told them of how me and my siblings competed to show our culinary skills by washing and over washing the rice so we can get the accolade of our mother for being a good cook since no stone found in the rice.

Finally they agreed to be eating Nigerian rice once in a week (that’s an achievement, they will soon get used to eating it and I’m sure they will ask for it anytime they want to eat rice because there is no alternative, even if their is I’m no longer interested….I will do my own little to support anything and everything that will bring economic growth and increase my nation’s GDP thereby translating to human capital development and growth! Fidelity Bank PLC last Friday night held its year end customer appreciation party – themed “Give Them Wings” – for the past year and highlights from the event show that it was quite a blissful one.

From guests donning really stunning and glamorous outfits – as the dress theme for the event was ‘glam’ – to same guests grooving to electrifying performances and stage acts.

What led to that moment begins with when a heartfelt video of one Michael Showunmi – a physically challenged teacher – made its way to the view of the MD/CEO of Fidelity Bank PLC, Nnamdi Okonkwo after the caption of the video ‘The world’s greatest teacher’ caught his attention.

The video documents the inspiring life of Michael, who disregarding his condition makes sure he impacts the lives of young minds with his teachings. Watch the video below;

The said heartfelt video, after being watched by Fidelity’s MD/CEO, Nnamdi, moved him to tears and as such, he decided to take action by giving Michael ‘wings’.

Michael was led to the stage on Friday night and was introduced to everyone present and in course of this, Nnamdi declared his intention of giving Michael wings by stating that Fidelity bank will be employing him.

Showumi will undergo some training and banking courses & trainings and thereafter become a lecturer at the Fidelity Academy.

Showumi addressed the audience as he thanked God, the MD and the bank for giving him wings.

“I was very scared of death and not being able to walk again” – Shan George shares her testimony

Veteran Nollywood actress cum filmmaker is still very grateful to God for sparing her life and given a second chance to live again, after the doctors gave a 50-50 chance.

In 2019, Shan George had a terrible sickness that not only cost her much financially but disrupted her career.

According to her interview with The Punch, the ugly development started two years back, “Sometime in late 2018, I had just finished organising the artistes that would be on the governor’s band for the Calabar carnival in December. After all the rigorous activities, I suddenly realised that my knee was swollen. I didn’t understand what was going on, so I just attributed it to the carnival stress. I took some drugs and rested for a couple of days expecting to be up and about in a couple of days. However, by early, January, the pain had increased. I kept managing it by using pain killers, but by March, it had become worse. I then started going to hospitals to find out what was wrong.

She continued, “Eight months later, my left leg was almost paralysed. I was already bedridden for some months. That was when my doctor asked me to do a series of tests because I had been on medication since January and I wasn’t getting any better. They wanted to know if there was any disease in me that had been feeding on the medications I was taking. All the tests came out negative and they had to do a MRI scan. After the scan, they found out I had lumbar spondylosis, which is a disease of the spine. There is no medication for it and they told me it was a surgery that could correct it; it was a 50/50 situation. I had the surgery on August 29, 2019, and it was successful. (As a result of the illness), I didn’t do anything for the whole of 2019.

“However, my first son really encouraged me. I was really scared and he said, ‘You know you are a child of God. You fear God; worship and pray to Him all the time’. He told me not be afraid, that the surgery would be successful.
“I was also scared because I didn’t have the finances to go for a surgery abroad. I had just finished making a movie and my mum had been ill for a while. I was very scared of death and not being able to walk again.”

The marriage of Mavin Records Vice President, Dr. Sid has crashed.

His estranged wife, Simi Esiri has confirmed the end of the marriage, in a statement the beautiful mother shared this morning.

In the statement, Simi confirmed they are heading for a divorce and moving forward as co-parents.

Simi and Dr. Sid got married in August 2014.

In her statement, Simi reacted to reports she that was violent towards Dr Sid in their marriage and that she has stopped him from seeing their two daughters, Sydney and Sarah. Simi says this is not true.

I have been consciously silent on this but as some people are out to defame my character and integrity with a fabrication of the facts, I am choosing to address it once and for all.

A lot of you may have known for some time now that Sid and I are no longer together and are moving forward separtely with the tough decision to divorce. Our priority will now be working together as co-parents in raising our two beautiful girls.

The incredibly false allegations recently written about our marriage ending due to me being domestically vioent towards someone twice my size and also of me preventing him from seeing his children (when he has clearly shared recent pictures with our daugters at my home) only depicts the laughable lengths at which some press are willing to go for click baits, and this needed to be cleared up. Such attempts will not be tolerated as I have stomached enough already.

A British senior citizen who is head over heels in love is planning to wed her 35-year-old Egyptian boyfriend despite the decades of age difference between them.

80-year-old Iris Jones who met Mohamed Ahmed Irbriham on Facebook fell for the jobless man the first time she saw him when she flew to Egypt last November.

After four days together, the pair even tried getting married in Cairo but they couldn’t as she didn’t have the right paperwork. Now, Iris, who has since returned back to the UK, is now saving up to travel back to Egypt to wed her toyboy despite opposition from her family.

According to her, Mohamed isn’t after her money nor is he seeking a passport to Britain.

She says: “If he’s marrying me for my fortune he’ll be sadly disappointed because I live on a pension. I don’t suffer fools gladly. I’m honest and I’m truthful and I told him straight away he couldn’t be a freeloader.

“In Egypt we were quite frivolous, going out to the best restaurants all the time and we split everything 50/50. He’s even said he’ll sign a pre-nup because it’s me he wants – not my house.

“I’ve spent years making other people happy, now I just want to marry the man I love before I die. I’ve always been a bit of a rebel and he’s just perfect for me.”

On the day they first met at the Cairo airport, Iris said: “I was shocked by how tall he is,” she says.“He’s 6ft 2in and I’m a foot smaller but he just gave me a huge hug.”

She said a few hours later they made love and that moment made her felt like a virgin again.

“It was incredible. I felt like a virgin again. It wasn’t easy but it was very loving and romantic.

“My ex-husband said I was frigid when we divorced 40 years ago but I now know I’m certainly not.”

Iris lives on £200-a-week pension and disability benefit. She also has a £220,000 bungalow.

Iris defends Mohamed, saying: “We are absolutely equal in every way. He’s not using me. If anything I’m using him because my love for him is selfish – I’m not going to let him go.”

How I helped a helpless lady birth a child on my way to work – Nigerian Lady reveals.

Loveth Agindupu, a behavioral therapist, has taken to her social media page to reveal how she helped a ‘helpless lady’ who was in labor to deliver her child.

Loveth revealed she was on her way to work when she came across the woman who was almost not in a good condition, as her baby was swaddled in a wrapoer with the placenta still connected to the baby in her arms.

However, the story ended well as they finally got a hospital that accepted the mother and helped clean them up.

Sharing the photos, she wrote ;

Been too busy running around to post.. I helped a helpless woman birth a child yesterday on my way to work and I’m still dazed about it all. Took her to the hospital with her child swaddled in a wrapper and her placenta still connected to the baby in my arms, I was literally shaking at the sight of blood all over me but the tears of that innocent child and cute face pushed me to help further. Nigerian hospitals and their wahala(story for another day) we practically went round festac looking for a hospital in the cold morning using my warmth to protect the baby.God bless the keke man who agreed to carry us and army man who followed us to pass one way to beat traffic wherever you are. We finally got a hospital who accepted us and helped clean them up. I went to the maternity ward to beg for clothes, socks, cap and a blanket to cover baby and gave the mom my wears I kept in my bag for a sleepover I planned and settled some Bills.

Mother and child is doing well, he is so cute and perfect♥️? visited them with clothes and food for mother and child today and I am also thankful to those who have reached out to help with their tokens, my sisters were awesome on this matter. God bless you all for being a ray of hope to this family.

Last week, a couple made headlines because of the unique situation of their relationship, as their vast age difference and race made social media users to question the real motive behind the relationship.

Sanchez who arrived at the Panshekara residence of her online lover, said she was in Kano not only to see her heartthrob and his parents but also to declare her intention to marry him.

According to her, she decided to trace her heartthrob to Kano because of her “genuine feelings” for him, adding that she has had several online dating but found Isah “more real and sincere”.

Speaking to Daily Trust Saturday, the Isah said he and his American would-be wife have already agreed on the number of children they hope for if God permits.

According to him, “I am aware of her age, and I am equally aware of menopause stage but that will never be a challenge for both of us to get where we want to be. “So, I don’t think that age difference could be anything because love has no barrier; that’s one of the Sunnah of our holy prophet. As a Muslim, our beloved prophet has done something like that in his first marriage. I think that’s not a threat to me,” he said. Responding to the question of who would decide the faith of the children from the relationship, Isah said, “The question of the faith or which religion the children will profess is nonnegotiable since I am the head of the family”.

Isah’s father had already given them his consent and the wedding has been scheduled to hold sometimes in March. Isah, a 200-level student of Geography Education, is very upbeat about relocating to America to conclude his education and then build his family with Sanchez.

Christian teenager, Leah Sharibu, who was abducted from her boarding school in Yobe State, by Boko Haram insurgents, gave birth to a baby boy according to multiple sources.

On February 19, 2018 at 5:30 pm, 110 schoolgirls aged 11–19 years old, were kidnapped by the Boko Haram terrorist group from the Government Girls’ Science and Technical College (GGSTC), Dapchi

On 21 March 2018 the Federal government announced that Boko Haram terrorists had returned 106 of the kidnapped children.

Leah, aged fourteen at the time of her capture, is the only remaining Dapichi schoolgirl still held hostage. She was reportedly not released along with the other children, because she refused to convert to Islam.

It has been gathered she was married off to a top Boko Haram commander who lives outside Nigeria. Sources said Leah was delivered of the baby early Saturday in Niger Republic.

It was gathered that the insurgents had wanted to release her few months ago but couldn’t because she was pregnant. Sources said Leah was forced to accept Islam before being forcefully married off.

Man gets 14 years imprisonment for raping an epileptic teenager at gunpoint

An old man, Vincent Akande, has been convicted and sentenced to 14 years imprisonment after he raped a 14-year-old epilectic girl in Edo State.

The victim was by the riverside at Ososo community, fetching stones for sale, when Akande accosted and violated her.

The case was reported on the 22nd of May 2019 and transferred to SCIID, Benin, on the 29th of May. The suspect was first arraigned in court on the 3rd of June, 2019.

In his ruling, Nosa Musoe, chief magistrate of the Igarra magistrate court, Akoko-Edo, said the accused was “deceptive” and sentenced him to 14 years’ imprisonment.

A 21-year old man who confessed that he only goes to churches to steal properties, has been arrested in Ipaja, Lagos State.

According to P.M.EXPRESS, Tokunbo Lekan said he was trained as a mechanic but had to abandon it for stealing when he was not getting enough work.

Lekan revealed that he focused on stealing in various churches to survive. The suspect was arrested after he sneaked into the Anglican Church of Triumphant and carted away some properties.

Some of the properties includes: a power generating set, electric wire, welding machine and other items worth about N400,000. He was said to have entered the church in the evening and stayed inside till about 2am.

The suspect succeeded in moving the items to the nearby mechanic village, however, he forgot his tools inside the church and was caught when he went back to retrieve them.
