“My whole household are calling themselves Marlians”- Richard Mofe Damijo

Veteran Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD) has taken to his social media page to reveal that his entire family have identified themselves as Marlians.

The shared a photo of himself with the Marlian King, Naira Marley, and asked if sharing the photo has also automatically made him a Marlian.

In his words;

“Early this year my wife shared a seat with @nairamarley on a trip from Dubai. She told me how he was very gentle and almost shy. A few months later on a flight from Abuja to Lagos, one of the last passengers to board was @nairamarley and he sat beside me.

He started laughing. We both knew why, I mean, what are the odds? I whipped out my phone and took this picture I’m sharing with you now.
Today the young man has grown into some kind of phenomenon. My young daughter calls herself a Marlian.

Even when I tease her and ask, so what happens to @davidoofficial she just smiles and covers her face. This is no joke my whole household of holidaymakers are all calling themselves Marlians. Question is… does posting this picture make me a Marlian?”

‘Cee-C came to beg after we sacked her as ambassador’ – Wale Jana

CEO of Sapphire Group, Wale Jana recently took to social media to make some unpleasant revelations about 2018 BBNaija star, Cee-c.

Cynthia Nwadiora, popularly known as CeeC.

While discussing the mistakes a business person could make in the course of their business, Wale revealed that Cee-C is not professional in her dealings and she always proves difficult to work with.

He then dropped a bombshell that the reality star came to beg the organization after she was dropped as brand ambassador.

Read the full post below:

You have to listen to me this morning because if you get it, you won’t make the mistakes I made. Today I am sharing on the mistakes of 2019

1. Getting short term investors; from 2016 till 2018, we were not really producing much all we did was sell but the moment we started branching out to lots of locations and producing more products we needed more time. Get investors who can give you at least 1 to 3 years. You will be happier.

2. Getting the wrong investment banker; there are lots of phony people out there who will collect money from you and tell you they can raise money for you. If they can’t show you at least 3 people they have raised money for don’t do business with them.

3. Signing the wrong brand ambassador; I hear people say we let her go because she didn’t support me. The truth is she had been a problem from the very beginning and we had fired her twice before that time. She had to fly to Abuja with her own money for our last event and she came to beg, I am surprised to hear that she left because she was too expensive ???We fought every time to get her to even post as an ambassador, you are just a one year old celebrity and you want to be competing with the Senior Prefect @tontolet she also couldn’t get along with anyone, it was always one drama or the other.

When she left and @bammybestowed and @reginadaniels came on board we had peace and so much unity, our creativity also moved to the next level.

4. Delegate, Delegate, Delegate; I suddenly realized that I was running like 5 or more different companies; Sapphire Scents, Sapphire Time, Oju by Sapphire, Sapphire Jewels, Sapphire Apparel etc and it dawned me that I couldn’t cope any more. In 2020 I am hiring 4 managers and a CEO while I focus on making perfumes and promoting the brand.

Mistakes could be painful but that pain sets you straight, you will be smarter next time. Now I know what I wouldn’t do in 2020 and you should learn from this as well.Tag someone who should read this, please share so that others can be blessed as you have been blessed.

Chinese scientist jailed for editing babies genes to make them HIV-resistant

A Chinese scientist who created the world’s first “gene-edited” babies has been handed a 3-year jail sentence.

He Jiankui an associate professor at Southern University of Science and Technology in Shenzhen first ignited worldwide outrage in November 2018 after revealing that he used gene-editing technology known as Crispr-Cas9 to change the genes of twin girls to protect them from getting infected with the AIDS virus in the future. He has been held under armed guard at a university guesthouse since he declared his work to the world at the international gene editing conference, including major interviews with Western media.

The Chinese scientists who alongside his collaborators forged ethical review materials and recruited men with AIDS who were part of a couple to carry out the gene-editing, was suspended from his job and accused of work that was “extremely abominable in nature”.

Jiankui who carried out the gene-editing process on seven embryos in late 2018, was found guilty of illegal practice alongside two others and he was fined 3m yuan (US$430,000).

The court said;

“The three accused did not have the proper certification to practise medicine, and in seeking fame and wealth, deliberately violated national regulations in scientific research and medical treatment.

“They’ve crossed the bottom line of ethics in scientific research and medical ethics.”

During the sentencing, it was also learnt that a third baby from a different mother to the twins, was born as part of the project before it was shut down by the authorities. An original research published earlier this month by the MIT Technology Review found that he may not have succeeded in reproducing the gene that makes some people immune to HIV.

The 33-year-old footballer who plays as a striker for Chinese club, Shanghai SIPG confirmed the relationship with Camila in a statement and even disclosed that he even had to call her parents and brother to let them know about his relationship with Camila.

Speaking to UOL Esporte per Dailt Star, his representatives said of his relationship with Camila: “It’s in his position to be transparent, to avoid lies and malicious comments.

“Remember the Brazilian’s marriage ended in July and Camila was also separated for many months.”

Camila who was reportedly the ‘favourite niece’ of Hulk’s estranged wife took to social media to address her relationship with Hulk.

She wrote: “Aunt Iran, I first want to tell you that this message is not an explanation or justification of anything.

“I needed to tell you some things that unfortunately circumstances do not allow me to say personally.

“Although it is irrelevant to you now, I love you very much and care about you, so I am speaking here.

“I really want you to know things that maybe everyone will talk about differently, mere speculation, but I don’t really judge them because outsiders know absolutely nothing and most of the time just want the situation to be worse.

“It’s been very hard to face all this, but I wouldn’t do it if it wasn’t true.”

After the post, Camila deleted her social media accounts following the backlash she received

Iran in a statement to UOL condemned Hulk for dating her niece after ending their 12-years marriage.

LASU final LASU final year student murdered

Owolabi Adeeko, one of the suspects arrested for killing his 22-year-old girlfriend and final year Theatre Arts student of the Lagos State University identified as Favour Daley-Oladele, has shared gory detail of the gruesome murder.

According to the ex-student of LASU, Favour’s throat was slit by their Pastor accomplice, Segun Phillip before her body was opened up to remove her heart. Owolabi said he and his mother subsequently ate the final year student’s heart as part of a money-making ritual.

Narrating how the suspects were arrested after crack detectives from Mowe division were deployed to find the student who was declared missing, Ogun state Police PRO Abayami Oyeyemi said;

“On getting to the church, the self acclaimed pastor was promptly arrested but he was quick to inform the detectives that the girl was brought to him by her boyfriend, Adeeko Owolabi, who was still within the vicinity of the church. The said boyfriend was traced and apprehended immediately.

“He confessed to the police that the deceased was his girlfriend and that he lured her to Ikoyi-Ile where he has perfected plans with the so-called pastor Segun Philip to use her for money making ritual.

“He stated further that while the girl was sleeping, the pastor gave him a pestle with which he used to smash the head of the girl and the pastor quickly used a knife to cut off her neck, ripped open her chest and removed her heart which he used in preparing a concoction for him and his mother to eat.

“When asked what pushed him to such devilish act, Owolabi explained that he decided to go into money ritual because things are not going well with his parents economically most especially his mother who used to be the breadwinner of the family; and when he sought for assistance from the pastor, he was asked to bring a human being for that purpose and the available person at that time was his girlfriend”.
