An preteen househelp who was repeatedly assaulted and fed with cockroaches and faeces by her boss has been rescued by activist Gwamnishu Harrison.
The househelp who is currently receiving medical attention at Amaku General Hospital in Awka, was reportedly rescued from a dungeon where she laid helpless with septic wounds and scars all over her face and body.
Sharing the photo, Gwamnishu wrote :
“11-YEAR OLD CHILD LOCKED UP, FED WITH COCKROACHES AND FAECES BY HER MADAM IN AKWA, ANAMBRA STATE.
A concerned citizen reached out to us on the case of an 11-year old house girl locked up,beaten up and fed with cockroaches and faeces…
We quickly swung into action, got to Awka and rescued the little girl from the dungeon where she laid helpless with septic wounds and scars all over her face and body.
She is currently on admission at Amaku General Hospital, Awka.”
A Nigerian twitter user has taken to the platform to call out a popular make-up artist for alleged fraud.
The twitter user with the handle @DaughterOf_eve accused the MUA with the handle @Moechievous of not staying true to a deal they had on taking online classes through whatsapp.
She further revealed @mochievous renegaded on their deal after participants had paid 75 thousand Naira.

The online drama between Tonto Dikeh and Stella Dimorkokorkus has gotten to pay-per view levels after Tonto spilled some dirty secrets about the blogger.
Recall we brought the report earlier today that they had a dirty fight on social media and Stella made some damning allegations on Tonto’s lifestyle and that of her bestie, Bobrisky.

The management of Delta Polytechnic, Ozoro, has banned the use of face caps by students on campus.
The rector of the polytechnic, Professor Job Akpodiete, gave this order during the burning of more than 5,000 face caps seized from students. The rector, who was represented by the Dean of Students Affairs, Thomas Ojuye, said the ban on the use of face caps is to stop ”indecent dressing’

“The management of the polytechnic came up with an advice to students to dress in a manner that is acceptable to the institution and the public. Sequel to the directive by the school management, the use of all manner of caps by students on campus has been proscribed” he said
The rector said the polytechnic’s security unit had been authorised as a matter of importance to destroy seized caps henceforth.

Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw has shared a screenshot of the private message she got from an Instagram follower who seems worried that she is not married.
The Instagram follower went on to share a photo with Kate and expressed wish of helping out the actress he/she described as beautiful and attractive.

It appears the Big Brother Naija reality show has produced another strong love story in the case of 2019 Winner, Mercy Eke and her lover, Ike Onyeama.

Suspected intenet fraudster, islamila Mustapha aka Mompha, had his day in court today, 25th November, 2019 and he pleaded not guilty to the N33billion money laundering and Internet crime charges filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Mompha was arraigned before Justice Mohammed Liman of the Federal High Court on a 14-count charge this morning November 25th.
Following his ”Not guilty” plead, the presiding judge ordered that he be remanded in prison custody and adjourned the case till Friday November 29th for hearing of his bail application and commencement of trial.

A man identified as Sodiq Yusuf has died while swimming in the pool of the National Stadium in Surulere Lagos.

State police command spokesperson, Bala Elkana, said in a statement that Sadiq,26, was rescued and rushed to Randle General Hospital, Surulere, where he later died.
His corpse has been deposited at the mortuary.
In another water-related accident, Elkana said two persons are still missing following a boat accident at Amuwo-Odofin area of the state. A wooden boat fitted with 30HP Yamaha Engine being operated by one Adesuyi John with 13 passengers on board, collided with an NPA Tug boat and capsised.
The joint force of the police, firefighters, LASEMA and other emergency management agencies rescued 11 of the passengers after the accident. Efforts are being made to find the two others still missing.

Officials of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, LASEPA, have shutdown Christ Embassy Church, Iyana Ipaja; churches, mosques, hotels and others over noise pollution.
In all, 20 facilities were shut by the government on Saturday in its determination to curb the menace of environmental nuisance across the state and further restore sanity and orderliness.
The exercise, which cut across churches, mosques, hotels and nightclubs, included Water Parks at ikeja; West gate Louge, Omole, Magodo phase 1; Skylouge Bar, Oko Oba; Mallam Garba Mosque, Iloro; Dick Jockey outlets, Dopemu, Agege; Christ Embassy Church, Iyana ipaja and El Castillo Homes, Abule Egba.
Others are Triple Z Hotel & Suite, Shasha, Akowonjo; Regia Luxuria Hotels & Suites, Alimosho; Kings of Diamonds, Coker, Barrel Louge, Opebi; Voice Of Elijah Christian Church, Ikeja; Celestial Church of Christ, Ilupeju and unnamed Mosque at Allhamdiyah.
However, LASEPA’s General Manager, Dr Adedolapo Fasawe warned the public, particularly unrepentant noise polluters to desist from the act of attacking its officials while discharging their duties or face the full wrath of the Law.
Fasawe observed with dismay the frequent attacks of the officials and obstruction of same from carrying out their official duties by unidentified hoodlums hired by facility owners to prevent lawful application of the law, saying that the law enforcement agents all over the world were not always in the good book of offenders, whose primary aim was to subvert law and pervert cause of justice at all cost.
She added that officials of the agency were attacked by hoodlums at the Westgate Louge, Omole and Sky Louge, Oko Oba while performing their duty to shut down the facilities for their persistent noise and failure to operate within the ambit of the law.
According to her, negative consequences awaited these perpetrators as the officials represented the government and whose motive was to protect the interest of the society against interest of few self centred defaulters.
“Enforcing environmental law in our society that thrives on impunity will require enlisting maximum support of the members of the public, especially our clerics, opinion, political and market leaders to lend their voices to the campaign and condemn the unwarranted but coordinated attacks being launched on the officials while performing their duties,” she said.
She further addressed the on-going insinuations and campaign of calumny against the agency by some mischief makers that particular religion was being targeted in the fight against noise pollution.
“Our operation devoid all religious coloration and no particular religion is targeted, our primary objective is to ensure decorum and sanity in the state.
The agency in the past months has being recording tremendous success and which must be supported by all rather than unwarranted attack of our intention by means of misinformation, misrepresentation and deliberate negative reports to bring the agency to disrepute and causes chaos among our people.
“We have deployed various innovations and techniques to tackle environmental pollution, especially in the area of noise pollution all to no avail, such as engaging the public through advocacy, social mobilization programmes, stakeholder’s forum, Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) and lastly the use of enforcement as last resort in maintaining sanity,” she said.
The Police in Lagos have rescued a man who attempted to commit suicide on the 3rd Mainland Bridge.
According to a post on RRS’s twitter handle, the young man had climbed the bridge and was about to jump into the Lagoon when he was stopped.

Hollywood actress, Gabrielle Union-Wade has reportedly been fired from reality tv show, ‘America’s Got Talent.’
According to reports from LoveBScott, the 47-year-old actress who used to be a judge on the show was dismissed for speaking up about ‘problematic’ situations, including racism, sexism, and many more.
NBC sources told lovebscott.com that,
“[Gabrielle’s] contract was not renewed after being the #1 talent on the show, NBC and network TV. She set the record for her Golden Buzzer. They only replace the women and blacks at Simon’s whim. She wouldn’t walk away from $12 million because she’s ‘busy.’ Based on weekly interactions on social media, by the time AGT finale aired Gabrielle was the #1 talent on network TV for 2019. Why not pick up someone’s option in extreme success?”
The report also claimed that Gabrielle Union was fired from the program alongside her fellow Judge Julianne Hough.
The NBC sources continued,
“Social media engagement is the new measuring stick for talent and Simon isn’t on social media. Juliane and Gabrielle were both way higher ranked/engaged than Howie. The idea the network wants to ‘switch things up’ only applies to women and Black folks.

It troubles me a lot seeing millions of our youths wasting precious time debating bitter politics, religion, tribal issues, etc, when such time could be used productively; for people with unemployment challenge. We need to have a sober reflection as youth.
The easiest & fastest skills/profession anyone could learn today are digital skills. With digital skills, your chances of getting a decent job increases by over 50% at the global labour market & you could work from the comfort of your home in Ajegunle, for a client/firm in Canada.
There are hundreds of thousands of Indians who earn a living from the comfort of their homes. They have no govt or corporate job. In fact, a lot of them don’t even have degrees. They only need to learn basic English & they’re good to go. I have hired hundreds of them, too.
We must kill this sense of entitlement we have held for long now. The sense of entitlement that because we are graduates or hold certain qualifications, the govt or our relatives owe us decent jobs & better lives. This may have been the case some 50yrs ago. Not in 2019, my brother!
We are now in an era where what you know (skills) beyond your conventional educational qualifications, is as or even more important than your educational qualifications, and the earlier we accept this reality, the better for us, especially as young people.
Nevertheless, govts at all levels must also be interested in championing this new direction of thinking as a means of solving youth restiveness & unemployment. This could be done through institutional framework restructuring, designing policies policies that will transform our economy into a digital economy and human-capital development. These have proven to create more jobs in the developing nations. Check Rwanda if I lie.
To achieve this, our leaders, especially political leaders, must first realise that they lack basic understanding of the digital world, then make efforts to learn & understand it; because you only give what you have & you cannot promote what you don’t believe. The time is NOW!
More Nigerian youths have access to the internet than Indians youths, but more Indian earn a living online than Nigerians. The difference? They are taught digital skills from primary school, while an average Nigerian attends his first computer training after graduation. What do they teach them? You already know.
The digital industry can employ more than most govt establishments, if govts could create the enabling environment. It would create more jobs & reduce the burden of employments from govt, as serious govts have little to do with direct job creation. They rather serve as ‘enablers’.
