Big Brother Naija Host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu has exposed a man who accused him of foul play by saying he (Ebuka) sleeps with the female housemates before they can be on the show.
Twitter user @ZakeIsC took to his timeline to say that Ebuka favours “high class ashawo” for positions in the BBNaija house. He claimed Ebuka only chooses female housemates from women he’s slept with. He further said Ebuka carried “all Anambra ashawo put in the house”.
After making the bogus accusations on his timeline, he didn’t clear the air in public the same way he made the allegations publicly, the troll opted to slide into Ebuka’s DM to say he only said it to get people’s opinions.
Ebuka shared his private chat and wrote: :My life with baseless allegations every season.”
A 12-year old girl, Precious Nwali was reportedly battered by her mistress for allegedly stealing her N26,000 at Nzekwe Street, near Akwata meat market in Awka, Anambra state.
The victim, from Ebonyi state, was allegedly stripped Unclad and red pepper applied on her private part by the mistress, Mrs Charity Effiong who later drove her away from the house around 10.30pm.
The Nation gathered that the victim, a primary four pupil was later found by a good Samaritan while wandering and crying along the market.
Narrating her ordeal, the victim, who sustained series of marks on her body, said she had severally suffered maltreatment in the hands of her mistress.
“She always flogs me with cable wire. She has her own children but she hardly beats them nor sends them to any errand,” she wept soberly.
Also speaking, the woman that picked her up, Mrs. Amaka Okoye, said it took her about thirty minutes to wash off the grinded pepper in her private part.
On his part, Pastor Effiong Inyang, who linked her up with the mistress, said the victim’s parents requested she stayed with her following the family’s predicament.
He said, “All her siblings are being given out because her parents are struggling to survive due to the condition of the family.
“The father has been under severe pain having sustained injuries after several falls from the palm tree.”
He said he had already contacted the victim’s parents who had requested she be brought back to them.
Reacting, the Secretary, Anambra State Child Protection Network, Lady Hope Okoye, described the action as a total violation to the state child right act of 2004.
“Stuffing Cameroon pepper in the girl’s private part is another level of abuse which has psychological, physical and emotional consequences.
“I don’t know why this should be swept under the carpet for a woman to afford to do this inhumane treatment on the little child,” she noted.
The Nation, however, learnt from police source that the suspect had been detained on the order of the DPO in charge of the Central Police Station, Awka.
“It was not long after the matter was reported in the police station that the madam appeared, claiming the housemaid was abducted,” the source added.
The Police spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed, confirmed the incident, but said the suspect denied applying pepper in the victim’s private part.
He said she claimed that the victim stole the sum of N26,000 from her house, adding that she removed her undies in the course of searching for the money.
He said, “She said the girl stole her N26,000 which led her to remove her pant so she can see whether she hid the money inside her pant.”
Mohammed said the case was being investigated.
Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Benin Zonal Office on July 23, 2019 arrested nine suspected internet fraudsters at their various hideouts in Benin City, Edo State.
They were arrested sequel to intelligence gathering, which alleged that they were involved in the fraudulent internet activity known as ‘cat-fishing’.
The suspects who are between the ages of 20 and 35 are: Amafin Collins, Edafitite Abel, Usianene Elizojie, Ojiefor Marvelus, Uduehi Osumor, Geigi Emmanuel Ose, Osaro Osakpolor, Francis Omoiegbe and Onuoba Prince Nonso.
Items recovered from them at the point of arrest include luxury cars, laptop computers, mobile phones, flash drives and internet modems.
They have made useful statements and will soon be charged to court.
Meanwhile, head of the Benin Zonal Office, Muhtar Bello has alerted members of the public of the activities of fraudsters who engage in using other people’s phone numbers to generate social media account authentication codes in an attempt to defraud unsuspecting victims.

A youth Corps member serving with the Leadership Newspaper in Abuja, was struck by a stray bullet on his chest during the Shi’ites and Police clash in Abuja on Monday July 22nd.
According to the Leadership, Aliyu who works with its Hausa section, was on his way home when the bloody protest started. A stray bullet hit him on the chest. Thankfully he was rushed to the National Hospital Abuja where he is recuperating.
Narrating how it happened, Aliyu said
‘’I was on my way home in a taxi after close of work when I got hit by a stray bullet which brushed through my chest.I did not even know that I was shot until I started feeling heavy on my chest. Then I was rushed to the hospital, ’’ Aliyu told the newspaper.

An accident which occurred on Tuesday at Akinhale village, Ewekoro, on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, Ogun State, left three people dead and two others injured.
The accident involving an Iveco truck, with number plate AAA 912 XK, occurred after the driver lost control of the wheels, leading to the detachment of the container which veered off the road into the bush.
Confirming the incident, spokesman of the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, Babatunde Akinbiyi, said bodies of the victims had been deposited at Ifo General Hospital’s mortuary, while the two injured victims were taken to state hospital at Ifo.
“The trailer driver was on top speed when suddenly the driver lost control and the body (trailer) detached from the head as a result of not being properly hooked, before it veered into the bush.
“Among the confirmed dead was also the driver of the trailer. The vehicle has been taken to Ewekoro Divisional Police Station” he said.
A 23-year-old single mother who recently bagged 3 degrees – 2 Bachelors and a Masters degree – has narrated what she endured to put herself through school after learning she was pregnant.
Montoya, already had a degree, then went back to school to further her education. Shortly after, she discovered she was pregnant with twins and was advised to leave school. But she was determined to end well and carried the burden alone. She recently graduated with her second bachelor’s degree in Cardiovascular Sonography and masters in Health Science.
Sharing her story, she wrote:
I ALMOST GAVE UP! The Devil really had me.
NOTHING could have prepared me for the journey that I’ve been through…Our program started off with 26 people and I am now 1 of 17 that will be graduating. 5 months after starting my graduate program I found out that I was pregnant. When I told my program director I was expecting he told me I should just take time off and come back next year because it was going to be too hard to finish the program with a baby and “nearly impossible” to do it with two. I went to class every single day literally until the day I gave birth.
I was determined to finish. Only after a week of giving birth via c section I was back in class because i was told it was “unacceptable that I missed a week of school” Who would’ve known that for the next 15 months I would endure the hardest year of my life??.
Being a mother is hard enough but being a single mother to two kids while being a full time student and living away from family and friends literally having no physical support is a different type of hard. I did it all by myself I woke up at 5 AM to get my kids to daycare as soon as the doors opened to be at the hospital for rotations at 7 AM everyday and still being responsible for online work. I honestly thought dropping out would be the best choice for me, but I knew I couldn’t let my kids down and I was only giving the devil what he wanted. I knew I would not only disappoint myself but everyone who was rooting for me. I worked so hard y’all , it was times I cried myself to sleep and asked God why was I alone.
Why was I raising two kids alone with no family or friends here to support me while trying to put myself through school But he had a plan for me, and WE made it! I persisted , I finished. I have achieved not one but TWO degrees Two years,two kids and TWO degrees later. By Gods grace… we didn’t just do it , WE MASTERED IT!!!! I am receiving my second bachelors in Cardiovascular Sonography and a Master’s in Health Science ???????August 16th, 2019 ?

Steven Jones, a British ex-pat who lived in New York reportedly killed his American wife and 12-year-old daughter before turning the gun on himself.
The 46-year-old man had, a day before the double murder-suicide incident, sent an email to a family friend of more than 40 years, Kenneth Petch, apologizing for creating ‘such chaos’.
He also asked for the email to be relayed to his parents, Roy and Rita.
It read:
“Hi mum and dad, this is Steve. I do this to protect Emma. It’s taken me 18 years, but I realise that I have wandered down the wrong path with the wrong person and that I have been manipulated for too long.
“I cannot bear the thought of this happening to a special 12-year-old, and if I don’t intervene, she will be left to the wolves all alone.
“You were wonderful parents, none of this is your fault or could have been prevented. I’m sorry to produce such chaos, but hopefully, there are good memories too.
“I remember many happy times during our visits. You always made us feel welcome and loved. Please focus on the good times, there were truly many good times.
“I do this to protect Emma. Love Steve.”
The electrical engineer was found dead a day after on December 14, 2018, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest. Steven’s corpse was found, after New York Police officers carried out a welfare check at his family address in Ballston Spa, following his employers, GlobalFoundries’ concern that he had not turned up for work.
His wife, Jennifer, and their daughter Emma were both discovered dead in separate upstairs bedrooms, with multiple gunshot wounds.
Though Jones’s parents told an inquest that their son was a “family man” and they were not aware of him going through any “financial, health or marital difficulties“, investigators reached the conclusion that the 46-year-old man had murdered his family members before turning the gun on himself as there were no “suspicious circumstances” surrounding his death.
It was further learnt that parents of the deceased received a Christmas card, calendar and selection of five photos of Jones’ family looking happy together, a few days after news of the deaths was broken to them.
The items were post stamped December 12.
