While some believe that he was actually attacked, most are unfazed by the whole saga as they feel the rapper staged the whole thingy just so he could promote his upcoming show.
Ruggedman was having dinner in a London restaurant last night when the assailants reportedly walked in and attacked him. The prompt action of the Metropolitan police helped forestall the attack on him.

A lecturer in the Accounting Department of the Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Dr O.O Aduwo, was on Friday, humiliated by some students of the institution after he was allegedly caught pants down while attempting to have sex with one of his female students simply identified as Nike who he had invited to his home.
According to reports by some students of the Institution, Dr Aduwo is allegedly well known for pestering his female students for sex.
Yesterday, Nike alongside her boyfriend and some of her other friends, planned that she should go and see the randy lecturer as he’d demanded. While in his home, Nike’s boyfriend and her friends who were laying siege outside the house, barged into the room and caught him on tape stark naked.
In a video recording, the lecturer who was visibly shaken after he was apprehended, could be heard appealing for a private meeting with those who caught him.
According to students of the Institution, Nike allegedly shared the video on her Whatsapp stories.
Operatives of the Abuja Head Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have apprehended seven internet fraudsters at the Sunshine Estate, Gwarinpa, a metropolis at the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, as part of the resolve of the acting EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu, to ensure that online fraud is reduced to the barest minimum.
They are: Asuquo Happiness, Agboje Lucky, Emmanuel Ochuko Okume, Lucky Ijire, Karo Ijire, Chinaka Chijoke Promise and Ibrahim Adiat.
The suspects, who were arrested on June 11, 2019 had in their possession a Toyota Camry 2018 and a Toyota Corolla, as well as Infinix, Nokia and iPhones mobile phones.
Investigations into their nefarious activities, which spanned months, revealed that they specialized in stealing people’s identities on social media, particularly FaceBook and Instagram. They then use the stolen identities to create fake profiles, using same to establish fraudulent relationships, with the aim of defrauding their victims.
Some of the aliases used to perpetrate online fraud, include, James Bord, Tom Clanson, Paul Hanson, Clinton Maher, Richard Jordan and David Morgan.
One of them uses phishing as his modus operandi where he sends out bulk messages and malware with viruses, which when the target clicks on the message, they are able to gain access into their victim’s information.
Another claims he goes to the “dark web” to buy hacked logins to look for any business transaction and double cross the transaction using another account.
One of the suspects confessed to creating over 20 social media accounts.
They further confessed to having at various times made $5,479, $4,900, $1,500, $2,500, $7,000, $27,000, which were received through Western Union, Bitcoin, exchangers, and through Nigerians based outside the country, who have offshore accounts.
The operatives had previously arrested another set of internet fraudsters in Enugu State, aged between 20- 26 years. They were arrested at two different locations, Brick city Estate, Independent layout and Goshen Estate, in possession of three Mercedes Benz, two Lexus and one Avalon, including SIM cards and laptops.
Investigations revealed that they engaged in crypto currency.
A lady, Shalom Hart, 24, a graduate of Ebonyi State University was also arrested for internet fraud. The suspect specialised in posing as Fabian Smith, a writer, a contractor or a soldier from the United States, US, to defraud her victims, she also posed as a businessman and blogger in the name of Stacey Dash.
As part of the mission to rid the country of internet fraud, the operatives had in the course of investigations, gone on the trail of the fraudsters traced to four states – Delta, Edo, Enugu and Imo states.
In a related development, another sixteen suspects were arrested on May 27, 2019 in Owerri, Imo State. The suspects aged between 18 and 30, include, Cassy Egekonye, Omonisho Efe, Egwuatu Stanley, Okafor Divine, Solomon Chimnobi, Igwe Ajoku Clinton, Chukwuemeka Elvis, Osuasu Daniel, Destiny Dibor, Chukwuemeka Precious, Chidera Ozirigbo, Uba Ifeanyi, Nwosu Kelvin, Okoli Munachi, Mark Jack, and Martins Anthony.
They were arrested at two different around Nekede and Owerri metropolis.
Investigations revealed that they disguised as military men from the US or serving in Afghanistan used different pseudo-names, such as Richard David, Anthony Williams, Francis James, Davies to defraud their victims of their hard-earned monies.
Several incriminating items were found on them such as laptops, phones, diabolical items and two vehicles.
A video circulating on Social media shows the moment Veteran Rapper, Ruggedman was attacked by unidentified boys who claimed to be fans of Naira Marley in London.
Recall Ruggedman and Naira Marley had a social media faceoff after the latter dropped a controversial statement seemingly defending internet fraudsters (popularly known as Yahoo Boys), a statement Ruggedman vehemently kicked against.
Things grew toxic as Naira Marley was later arrested by the EFCC, a move fans of the “issa goal” singer faulted Ruggedman for.
Ruggedman confirmed this attack via his twitter account as he wrote;

He however did not confirm if his attackers were fans of Naira Marley.

Billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, has come to the aid of ailing former Nigerian goalkeeper, Peter Fregene.
The 72-year-old who represented Nigeria in the 1968 Olympic games, had been bedridden since 2016, battling a yet-to-be disclosed ailment.
Otedola got wind of the footballer’s ailing state, sent his representatives to Sapele, Delta state where the footballer resides and has instructed that he be airlifted from the airport in Edo state to Lagos state today Friday June 14th where he will be given medical attention at the Reddington hospital in Ikoyi, Lagos state.
This is not the first time the billionaire would be extending his generosity to footballers. Recall that in April, he donated $50,000 for the medical treatment of ex-footballer and coach, Christian Chukwu in a UK hospital.
Six women have been apprehended by men of the Imo State Police Command for operating a notorious child stealing and trafficking syndicate in the state.
The suspects include Perpetual Iwuji (46), Isong Ifara, (46), Immaculata Edward (31), Grace Nwachukwu (58), Ifeoma Ndubuisi (27) and Stephen Ezenwa (31).
Parading the statement before newsmen, the State Police Public Relations Officer, a Superintendent of Police, Orlando Ikeokwu, said the syndicate which specializes in stealing underaged children from schools, churches and other public places, was busted after a member of the gang Immaculata Edward, a native of Okonde in Cross River State visited her boyfriend, Ifara Isong in Eziama Logara in Ngor Okpala Council and absconded with five children that were left under her custody.
“The said Immaculata targeted when her boyfriend went out to buy something and then she stole five (5) children namely Somto Ekeh ‘f’ 6yrs, Kelechi Ekeh ‘m’ 5yrs, Chisom Ekeh ‘f’ 3yrs, Ebuka Enwerem ‘m’ 3yrs, Chioma Enwerem ‘f’ 5yrs And Lucky Idah ‘m’ 6yrs, all children of one Reginald Ekeh ‘m’ and took them to a notorious child trafficker one Perpetual Iwuji from Obokwu Ulakwo in Owerri North L.G.A, who then sold two (2) of the children to one Grace Nwachukwu, another notorious child trafficker who hails from Isiala Mbutu in Aboh Mbaise L.G.A but resident at Mpape Abuja.
Immaculata also stole two (2) of her uncle’s children from Cross River state and sold them to one Ifeoma Ndubuisi ‘f’ from Lokpanta in Umunneochi L.G.A Abia State. However, following intelligence, systematic, thorough and painstaking investigation, all the children stolen from Logara was recovered. Moreover, in the course of the investigation, additional five (5) children were recovered from Perpetual Iwuji and kept in an orphanage home. The five (5) children stolen from Logara have been reunited with their families. Meanwhile, one of the two children stolen from Cross River state has been recovered from Ifeoma Ndubuisi and efforts are on top gear to recover the remaining one”.
An Indiana teenager who fatally stabbed her mother has been sentenced to 45 years in prison. On Wednesday, 17-year-old, Chastinea Reeves was sentenced by a Lake Superior Court judge as part of a plea deal, the Chicago Tribune reports.
During the hearing, the teen told the judge she regretted murdering her mother.
“If I could go back, I wouldn’t do it,” Reeves said. “I do miss my mother.”
In Feb. 2017, Reeves’s mother, Jamie Garnett, 34, was found dead in their Gary home she had been stabbed 60 times. It’s unclear what motivated Reeves to kill her mother.
Another Nigerian , Maxwell Ikechuku Okoye, from Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State, has been allegedly killed by members of the South African Police Service.
The Vice-President, Nigerian Union in South Africa, Mr Joshua Ogade Itua, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on telephone from Pretoria that Okoye was allegedly tortured to death on Friday in Ladysmith, Kwa-zulu-Natal Province.
The Police, according to the Chairman of Nigerian Union South Africa, Ladysmith Chapter, went to the apartment of the deceased and forced their way in.
“While they were with him, he called to alert other Nigerians but before they could get to his apartment the police had made away with his body. Maxwell’s lifeless body was later seen at the mortuary,” he said.
Itua said that NUSA leaders then went to the police for fact- finding, noting that his death has added to the number of Nigerians that were killed either by the Police or through Xenophobia in that country.
“The Station Commander of Ladysmith claimed that he was met foaming at the time they gained entry to his apartment.
“Police murder inquest has been opened and the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) in Kwa-zulu-Natal province have been informed for full investigation.
“Our condolence to his family and Nigerian Community in Ladysmith. We call on our government to seriously engage its counterparts in South Africa for investigation and prosecution if not a natural death.
“This is because, according to our leaders who went to the mortuary, there are bruises and blood all over his body so we have every reason to believe that he was tortured to death.
“Our stand as foremost Nigerian organisation in South Africa is that all cases involving the killings of Nigerians should be investigated and prosecuted irrespective the nationality and status of the perpetrators,” he told NAN.
Maxwell was born on October 5, 1979 and is survived by two children.

Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced a 100 percent increase in the allowances of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority officials.
The Governor announced the increase when he visited the LASTMA headquarters at Oshodi, Lagos – he promised that the increase would commence from the end of July 2019 while also saying that LASTMA officials would be entitled to free treatment.
“From the end of next month, we are going to double your allowance, from the end of next month. If you are earning N5,000 allowance, we are going to double it for you. It is Lagos State tax payer’s money we are going to be giving to all of you so the citizens are going to be expecting a new, reformed and more civil LASTMA officers, Any LASTMA official that is on duty and has reported one form of illness or the other should be treated free of charge.”
He commended the officials for their service to ensure a free flow of traffic and traffic management in the state. The governor also reiterated his promise to rehabilitate bad roads in Lagos while insisting the government would be strict with traffic offenders.
He tasked the LASTMA officials not to allow any offender go without paying fine saying,
“if the person says he knows the governor, tell him to call the governor to pay the money for the offence.” Sanwo-Olu urged the traffic management officers to be civil when engaging road users.
“They (people) want a LASTMA officer that shows civility. Courtesy demands courtesy if you are going to even arrest or apprehend somebody, be courteous and respectful to them,” he added.

Update – The gorilla claim has turned out to be false. On Friday, June 21, 2019, AFP Fact Check investigated the story and discovered that the zoo has never housed a gorilla in its 47-year history.
Umar Kobo, the managing director at Kano Zoological Gardens has said the missing N6.8 million was not swallowed by a gorilla as earlier claimed.
Recall that BBC Pidgin quoted a finance officer in the zoo as claiming that the gorilla “sneaked into their office” and carted away the money before swallowing it.
The alleged incident was said to have happened during the Sallah celebrations. Umar Kobo, the managing director of the zoo, confirmed that the money is missing and that the issue is being investigated.
“The issue is under investigations for now and I don’t want to say anything on the matter, many journalists have come to meet me but I don’t want to talk anything. What I can confirm is that money is missing,” he said.
“Suspected armed robbers stormed into the zoo and broke into the administrative section and burgled and ransacked seven offices,” Yusuf told Abubakar.
“A safe where 6.8 million naira was ripped open and the money stolen. The money was from gate takings during the Muslim Sallah (Eid) festivities. Nine security guards on duty were tied together and locked inside an office by the robbers.”
He said the money had been kept in the zoo office as it was received over public holidays, when “banks didn’t open”.
The Cross River State Police Command has paraded the pastor in charge of the Gate of Testimony Church, Hosanna Okoi, for allegedly raping a lady and threatening to kill her with a gun if she revealed what transpired between them.
Also paraded on Thursday after he was arrested with arms and a soldier’s uniform was a 400-level student of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Calabar, Nnamdi Ikezue. Ikezue confessed that he was a cultist and was using a locally-made pistol to protect himself.
Twenty-three other suspects were arrested for various crimes. Out of the number, nine were arrested for alleged involvement in robbery attacks in various locations across the state. The state Commissioner of Police, Austin Agbonlahor, said Okoi, who claimed that his church was located in Sierra Leone, was arrested after a lady reported to the police that a pastor, who was supposed to pray for her, allegedly raped her and threatened her with a gun not to report the incident.
Okoi, however, said he only took the lady, whom he claimed was unknown to him, to a wedding and later to a pub.
He stated, “I am a Nigerian, but I am the pastor of the Gate of Testimony Church based in Sierra Leone. I came to Nigeria and I met the lady, who said she was going to a wedding. I did not know her from Adam, but I offered to take her there and gave her N500 to drink water. Later, we met at a pub and we drank and that was all that happened. I did not take her to anywhere and I don’t know why she decided to frame me up.”
Ikezue, on his part, said, “I am having the army uniform because I was at the Nigerian Military School, Zaria, before I got admission into the University of Calabar to study Medicine and Surgery in 2014. I am a cultist and I still use the military uniform and my gun, which I acquired to protect myself.” He blamed the devil for his ordeal, saying, “At the level I am now, I am not supposed to be in the cult.”

She made this known at an event held at the Banquet of the Presidential Villa in Abuja during which she presented awards to the wives of former and current governors of the 36 States in Nigeria .
“When my husband was newly elected , I personally chose to be called the wife of the President.
“But, I realised that it causes confusion from the state as to whether the wives of state governors are to be addressed as the first ladies or wives of the governors .
“So , forgive me for confusing you from the beginning , but now I chose to be called the first lady”, she said.
Ex-Rivers State governor and Nigeria’s immediate past Minster for Transport, Rotimi Ameachi’s son, Obinna Amaechi, has graduated from Simon Fraser University, Canada.
