Former BBNaija housemate, Deeone has reacted to the arrest of Nigerian singer, Naira Marley, after EFCC took him in for questioning this morning.
Dee One commended EFCC for arresting the singer, who has openly shown his support for internet fraudsters.
Taking to his IG page, Deeone wrote;

Former Manchester City and Barcelona midfielder, Yaya Toure has officially retired from football at the age of 35.
His controversial agent Dimitri Seluk announced the news this morning and revealed the Ivorian superstar will now concentrate on a new career as a coach.
“I say this for the first time: Yaya decided to end his career as a champion,” Touré’s agent Dimitry Seluk told Russian outlet Sport 24 on Friday.
“The farewell match given to him by Manchester City, in principle, was the real end of his playing career. Not only in this team, but in general.
“Yaya is one of the best players in Africa and he had one of the brightest careers in the history of African football.
“We talked for a long time about this topic. Of course, every football player wants to play as long as possible. In terms of his physical condition, Yaya could do this at a sufficiently high level for another five years.
“But we came to the conclusion that he, the football player who played for Barcelona and Manchester City, could not lower the bar with his hands.
“We see many players who continue their careers at a sufficiently mature age, and this is commendable.
“But Yaya and I chose a different path: to leave as a champion and start a new stage in life – a career as a coach, in which, I am sure, Yaya will reach even greater heights than those he achieved as a football player.
“There are no African coaches in the English Premier League. I think.”
Touré who left Manchester City at the end of the 2017/18 season and became a free agent, joined Olympiacos in September 2018 for the second time in his career.
However, the former midfielder lasted just over three months at the Greek Superleague club before leaving by mutual agreement in December
Yaya Toure who started senior football career with Beveren in 2001, also played for Metalurh Donetsk, Olympiacos, Monaco, Barcelona and Manchester City.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has explained why it arrested popular singer Afeez Fashola aka Naira Marley this morning Friday, May 10th.
Confirming his arrest, the acting EFCC spokesperson, Tony Orilade, in an interview with Punch, said
“Yes, he is with us. He’s not the only person; he had some other persons also arrested alongside (him). They were arrested in relation to advance fee fraud — Internet-related cases and all of that. Give me a little time and I will get you the details.”
Naira Marley made news few weeks ago after he publicly endorsed Internet fraudsters also known as Yahoo Yahoo boys.
Police PRO, Dolapo Badmus has thrown a shade at Naira Marley as news circulates that the singer has been arrested by EFCC on his birthday.
Badmus, who shows a strong stance against internet fraudsters aka Yahoo boys, took to her Instagram page to mock the Yahoo boys advocate.
She wrote,
The only authentic NAIRA I know is Nigeria’s legal tender. Any other naira attached to something is a counterfeit!

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Nigerian musician, Naira Marley, real name Afeez Fashola.
The fast-rising singer is currently being questioned at the EFFC office in Lagos.
Although the reason behind his arrest is yet to be made public, it might be in connection with his statements on social media which glorifies internet fraudsters, popularly called Yahoo boys.
The EFCC spokesperson could not be reached early on Friday, but a top source at the agency confirmed the arrest to PREMIUM TIMES.

Naira Marley during a recent Instagram live session, urged Nigerians to pray for internet fraudsters (Yahoo boys) saying they are the reason money circulates to the common man.
He said: “All you guys, all the money in your pockets, all the money you spend, you think it’s the government that is making the money go round?”
The video has since stirred reactions from Nigerians who described Marley as a disgrace and bad example to young Nigerians.
However, a few Nigerians have supported Marley, saying that Yahoo boys are the reason some Nigerians can eat and survive.

A new video has surfaced showing Shoki Shitta exposing how Davido paid 2 guys to go about abusing Wizkid whom he called his boss.

The election petition tribunal had earlier ruled in favour of Senator Ademola Adeleke.
The judgment which was delivered by Justice Hannatu Sankey set aside the entire proceedings of the Tribunal because of its “faulty composition”. The judgment was upheld by four justices of the five-man panel.

The Lagos state police has arrested Baruwa Eleniyan, the head of the touts who assaulted one Shoki Shitta for disrespecting Wizkid and praising Davido on Instagram.
The arrest comes barely 24 hours after a video of Baruwa Eleniyan and his boys beating Shoki Shitta went viral – Shoki was assaulted by the hoodlums for publicly criticizing Wizkid for not settling them in Shitta, Surulere in Lagos state.
According to reports, Baruwa was arrested on Wednesday night and put in Police custody – the Police allegedly obtained a text conversation between himself and Wizkid. The text included details to Wizkid on how Shoki was nabbed and being dealt with.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Benin Zonal Office, has secured the conviction of Eric Ogbemudia at the Federal High Court sitting in Benin City, Edo State.
A statement from the agency says that Ogbemudia was arraigned on a one-count charge of obtaining the sum of Eighteen Thousand Five Hundred Pounds Sterling by false pretence.
The charge reads:
“That you, Eric Ogbemudia (alias David Mark) on or about the 17th August 2015, in Benin within the jurisdiction of this honourable court did with intent to defraud obtained the sum of £18,500.00 (Eighteen Thousand Five Hundred Pounds Sterling) from Mrs. Joan Gallyot, a British national under the pretense that she is one of the lucky winners of $852,000.00 (Eight hundred and Fifty-Two Thousand Dollars) Chevron/Texaco donation under its poverty reduction programme and that the money was for delivery charges of the cheque to her in the United Kingdom which you knew is false and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 1(1) b of the Advance Fee Fraud and other Fraud Related offences Act 2006 and punishable under Section 1(3) of the same Act.”
Upon his arraignment, the defendant pleaded “guilty” to the charge.
In view of his plea, the prosecuting counsel, Immaculate Elody, prayed the court to convict and sentence the defendant, accordingly.
However, the defence counsel, I.E. Oriazuwale, pleaded with the court to temper justice with mercy. He said the defendant had shown remorse and had promised never to return to the crime.
Justice M.J. Umar, thereafter, convicted and sentenced Ogbemudia to six months imprisonment without an option of fine. The judge also ordered that all assets recovered from the defendant be disposed with the proceeds transmitted to the British High Commission for onward transmission to the victim of the crime.
A suspected serial rapist and blackmailer, Knakumo Aniso has been apprehended by a team of Bayelsa State Volunteers led by Mr Godwin Avidi.The suspect, 27, who hails from Odi, Kolokuma, Bayelsa state, was trailed to his hideouts, after Bayelsa State Volunteers got a report of an incident on Tuesday.
The victim, Gesiere (surname withheld), a 4-month-old pregnant married woman narrated that the suspect broke into her home two weeks ago, and raped her at gunpoint, while her husband was away.She added that he was very ruthless and even when she pleaded with him that she was pregnant, he refused to halt the act.
She also stated that after raping her, the suspect consistently blackmailed her by threatening to report the incident to her husband, family members and her neighbors. When she got tired of the threats she reported the incident to Mr Godwin Avidi.
The suspect has been handed over to men of the Nigeria Police Force, Bayelsa Command, for further investigation and prosecution.Another victim, Peace also narrated her ordeal in the hands of the suspect. She stated that she was raped two days back by the suspect and his gang under the popular Tombia bridge, where her phone was also forcefully taken.
She also added, that she was accousted along the road while trying to board a tricycle (keke), and at gunpoint, made to accompany them down the bridge.Another victim, a married woman, who heard of his arrest, also narrated how he and his gang raped her two years ago.
Avidi in his statement to newsmen who were present at the scene, vowed to ensure the arrest of the other gang members. He noted, that the insecurity at the popular Tombia roundabout and the entire state, was of serious concern to the Governor, who he said, has lost sleep over the issue.
Singer Simi has replied a fan who stormed her page asking her to take off her nose ring because he feels she’s way better than having such on.
According to the fan, if his girlfriend dare put a nose ring on, he would instantly break up with her.

There was a mild drama at a morgue in Kenya, after four women fought over the body of a man, they all claimed is their husband.
The ladies; Janet Wambui, Lydia Wanjiru, Susan Wakuthii; the fourth’s identity is yet to be established, all showed up to claim the body of the deceased. However, the deceased who was identified as Peter Mwangi Gichobi was said to be a Taxi driver a.k.a boda boda rider, and he reportedly died in an accident which occurred at Nyangati-Embu road a month ago.
Police officers from Kerugoya police post later intervened in the matter, after they all fought over the body of their husband at the Kirinyaga County Funeral Parlour.
While the Morgue authorities revealed that the death certificate would be given to the deceased’s next of kin who was his uncle, Kanyekiini MCA, Harrison Ngiria, promised the angry ladies that they would be included during the distribution of the wealth left by the man. It was further learnt that the 32-year-old man had a son with each of the women.
