A Thai millionaire caused a serious social media frenzy after he made an offer online to give the sum of £240,000 and a stake in his multi-million pound fruit farm to any young man who will win his virgin daughter’s love and marry her. ICYMI
However, the multi-millionaire farm owner, Anont Rodthong, from Chumphon province, southern Thailand, regrets his decision as thousands of young men have applied and they wouldn’t stop calling his phone.
At first, after too many suitors applied to marry 26-year-old Karnsita, Mr Rodthong made plans for a tournament where suitors would compete for his daughter’s hand.
The tournament was meant to take place on his farm and last 3 months, during which he would narrow down the search – but he had to scrap the tournament due to the numerous calls he keeps receiving.
The 58-year-old millionaire said,
Interested sons-in-law, please stop calling me. I’m dying because my phone has been ringing off the hook. Let me rest.
One of those who indicated interest in marrying Karnsita after the offer was made is Premyosapon Khongsai, 28, whose pitch gained 14,000 likes on Facebook.
His Facebook application reads,
I’m interested. I am 28 years old. My family also grows durian in Trat province. We have over 300 trees … I can weather the sun and the rain. I can drive a 10-wheel truck and tractor. Please consider me, father Anont. Thank you.
But Mr Rotthong wrote him off because he is “too handsome” and could break his daughter’s heart.
Though Mr Rotthong is no longer interested in organizing the tournament to get a suitor for his daughter, he still plans to keep the promise he made to any man who marries his daughter.
He promised to waive the compulsory dowry men pay to marry a wife. In addition, he promised to give the man £240,000 and a stake in his farm. Although he has other children, including sons to take over his estate, he promised to give most of it to his future son-in-law.
He said at the time he made the offer,
As soon as I have an in-law, I will give up all my assets to him.

When something is new, we always said it is still in the tech realm, and only those that are technologically geek can understand it. The fact is that, when bitcoin or cryptocurrency is mentioned in Nigeria, it no longer sound new to many people, even a smart kid will tell you he has heard about it though he may not actually know how it works. – in this context, I am letting you know that bitcoin has gained popularity in Nigeria.
In the past four years, bitcoin or let’s say cryptocurrencies generally are not seen as a viable investment because nobody knows it’s future; therefore, the technology was rejected, but this invest offer wouldn’t be turn down again in this era. Before we dive into the subject matter of this article (The viability of bitcoin in Nigeria), let me explain in one sentence the meaning of bitcoin. Bitcoin is digital money and not physical currency. That is the stigma in Nigeria when it comes to technology. People hardly believe in anything online money in Nigeria.
In Nigeria, when we hear anything about online or digital investment, the questions that pop in our head are; do they have a physical office? Are they trustworthy? How can I convert my money to Naira and cash out? And other series of novice’s questions. Let me solve this dilemma in the mind of Nigerians by answering these questions.
Where is Bitcoin Physical office in Nigeria?
Bitcoin is a digital currency that cannot be seen or touch with your hand but can be transferred from one person to another. Just like the traditional currency (Naira), bitcoin can serve as a means of exchange, trade of goods, payment for an international transaction, and store of value as it is generally acceptable.
On like naira where you need to pass through the banking process to facilitate a transaction, and it will be recorded in their account book, you can transact anonymously with bitcoin at the comfort of your home. In this context, it means bitcoin is safe and secure. When it comes to storing bitcoin in Nigeria, there are a lot of technologies that work. Blockchain and other foreign (Coinbase) and local exchange sites (like NairaEx.com and others) that works in Nigeria has stolen the thunder of the show when it comes to bitcoin transaction. It is most of these companies that have a physical office you can visit and not bitcoin.
Are they trustworthy?
The right answer to this question is capital YES! However, cryptocurrencies are volatile. It means bitcoin price is liable to rapid change and has an unpredictable character. The price can suddenly go up or otherwise overnight like the value of public shares in the Nigeria Stock Market. Bitcoin is the future generation money you must invest in today to save the future of your unborn generation.
How can I convert my money to Naira and cash out in Nigeria?
The direct answer to this question is; go to nairaex.com your Nigeria local exchange website. Though there are a lot of trusted brands that offer cryptocurrency exchange in Nigeria, I am recommending this brand in my article because of the attestation to their credibility by many Nigerians. NairaEx is a cryptocurrency exchange platform that plays the intermediation role between bitcoin sellers and buyers in Nigeria. They give a fair exchange rate when trading fait and bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. Their goal is to enable a secured and safe environment for cryptocurrency transactions.
If you have been worried about how to convert your bitcoin to Naira or buy bitcoin with naira, NairaEx.com is the best for such operation in Nigeria. A successful transaction is sure within a few steps. All it takes are; register and verify your ID, create your order, and you get funded within an average of fewer than 4 hours once your transaction is confirmed.
Conclusion
Conclusively, you can invest in bitcoin. Bitcoin is a great tool that can bring you more profit than that of the professional stock investment. One of the problems with many beginners in Nigeria is that they want to double their investment every day, but it is not how professional investment works. Purchase and hold strategy can work correctly when it comes to bitcoin but a patient is needed and profitable than day trade because day trading and intra-day trading is hazardous with cryptocurrencies. Also, don’t keep your bitcoin with an exchange, after buying from a broker like NairaEx, move your bitcoin immediately to a hardware wallet or paper wallet. However, don’t invest more than what you can afford to lose.

President Buhari has addressed Nigerians ahead of the second and final phase of the 2019 general elections which comes up on Saturday, March 9, with Nigerians voting for governors and members of Houses of Assembly in the states.
Let me once again extend my condolences to the families of those who lost their lives or sustained injuries as a result of accidents or criminal violence during the elections.
The onus is once again on qualified people to turn out in large numbers to exercise their civic rights.
With the presidential poll behind us, let us not become complacent, and fail to vote in the gubernatorial poll.
The forthcoming elections are as important for good governance as that of the presidency and the National Assembly.
Indeed, governance at the state level is closer to us, and should touch our lives more directly. That is why it is vital for us to participate in the choice of who governs us at the state levels.
I, therefore, urge you to troop out massively on Saturday to elect your governors and state lawmakers.
As a member of the All Progressives Congress, I recommend those standing on the platform of the party to you, as we are guided by progressive ideals, and we will not disappoint you.
Equally, I urge you to comport yourself properly, as you turn out for the election.
Avoid all deviant behaviours like ballot stuffing, ballot snatching, and any other action that does not conform with best electoral practices.
I assure you that the security agencies will be on hand to protect voters, and ensure that the process is not undermined in anyway.
Let make the gubernatorial polls, much better than the presidential, which Local and International observers have adjudged to be free and fair.
May I repeat my appeal to our young people: do not allow yourselves to be used to cause violence or to break the law or otherwise disturb the peace.
I have pledged decent and credible electoral system for our country. I stand by that promise.
Let us together do the right thing on Saturday, so that the best hands can emerge at the states, and take us faster to the Next Level.

Jesse Lingard could barely contain himself as he celebrated Marcus Rashford’s last-gasp penalty fly into the net with aplomb like any true Manchester United fan would; by jumping up and down and screaming as loud as possible… before FaceTiming the matchwinner.
The United midfielder was not in Paris and was unavailable to feature in Wednesday’s crucial Champions League clash after sustaining an injury in the 0-0 draw with Liverpool last month.
Lingard was one of 10 senior players missing for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men but still United somehow managed to bravely battle back – with a little help from VAR – to register an historical comeback to progress to the quarter-finals.

Yvonne Jegede has finally opened up on her marital crisis.
“We started having issues before the birth of Xavier. I think I was about two to three months pregnant when the issues came. Immediately the issues came, there was never a dull moment, it just kept going up and up and it got worse and it got bad and today here we are,” she began.
The actress with a career spanning 16 years said when the issues in her marriage to Abounce, a former rapper and actor, became obvious and irredeemable she moved out of their matrimonial home after a mutual agreement.
“Right now, we are not living together, and we are not living as husband and wife, we are not husband and wife anymore and I would say a mutual agreement to go our separate ways. It didn’t work out, it wasn’t working out,” Jegede said.
However, Jegede said her marriage to Abounce was worth it for the months it lasted. She said the times they shared together as a couple were nice and sweet so she wouldn’t trample on those times.
Recall that there have been unconfirmed rumours about the paternity of Xavier, her four-month-old son with husband, Olakunle Abounce Fawole.
In an exclusive interview with Pulse, Yvonne Jegede said Abounce can’t deny the fact that Xavier is 100% his son.
“I don’t call him. I only reached out to him when I feel the need to because he knows Xavier is his son, he is 100% sure he’s his son,” Jegede said reacting to the rumour about the paternity of her son.
Continuing, the ‘Being Annabel’ actress said, “He’s been to the house twice after we got back to the country, he’s come to see his son twice and he has pictures with his son on his phone which I took so why he’s not posting them, maybe his personal reasons, maybe he’s not like me who is showing my joy to the world, I don’t know but is that enough to give me a name?
“No, you don’t give me a name like that, common, that is not right, people tried to bully me or make dry joke over this, about my life, would you be happy if I were your sister but anyways, I am here, I am strong and will be strong for my son. I have morals to set for him and what the world is about.”
The Nollywood actress, who featured in 2face Idibia’s music video, ‘African Queen,’ welcomed her first child with Abounce in November 2018.
Jegede and Abounce have been quiet over the rumour of their separation since it went viral a few months after Jegede announced the birth of the couple’s only child together.
The couple had their court and traditional wedding in 2017.
