No marriage is perfect – IK Ogbonna

Nigerian actor, IK Ogbonna has in a chat with Daddy Freeze, made some revelations on the state of his marriage to his beautiful wife, Sonia Morales.

According to the actor who also narrated how he met his lovely wife, no marriage is perfect.

He said;

“Even if we have issues like every relationship has, I feel like when we see one on one, we will sort them out.

The thing I hate about Nigerians on marriage is that everyone tries to pretend like marriage is perfect.

If you don’t fight with your wife, you are not in a relationship. No marriage is perfect. My wife is my best friend first. We might not agree on everything but we are true friends.”

On how he met her, he said:

“I was stark broke when she came. I had just finished paying my rent and my account was red. I remember I borrowed like N10k from Adunni Ade.

I used N5k to fuel the car to go to the airport. I had to buy Indomie (noodles) and a crate of eggs. I thought I was going to lose her. At some point, I had to tell her that I am a hustling guy.

I am just someone that believes in myself. She asked me one question; do I look like someone that wants to marry a broke person?.

Then she said the second she saw me, she knew I was destined for something great. I had goosebumps, and instantly I knew she was my wife.”

“Do we deserve to have light 24/7? What are we using it for?” – BBNaija’s DeeOne rants on Instagram; fans attack him

Nigerian comedian and Big Brother Naija 2018 housemate, Dee One has caused a frenzy on Instagram after making what has been considered to be quite “insensitive comments” abut Nigerians and electricity.

The comedian had his followers enraged after he posted a video on Instagram justifying why Nigerians don’t need to have 24-hours electricity.

According to him, the Federal Government is teaching Nigerians time management which is why there is no 24hour electricity in the country.

However, since Nigerians have limited power supply, they would value power more when they get it, and of course, make more proper use of it.

The comedian’s comments have however not gone down well with many people on social media, as some have taken to the platform to rain abuses and insults at him.

Ayeni Adekunle writes touching poem

Read below….

Life.

It’s beautiful. Yet so damn ugly.

It goes on forever. Yet it goes off. For ever.

We live. We leave. Then we live and leave again.

We know everyone. Yet we know no one.

We live everyday, yet we live not.

We go everywhere, yet we go nowhere.

We have everything, yet we have not a thing.

We see everything, yet we see not a thing.

We know everything, yet we know not a thing

Life.

Full of everything

Yet, full of not a single fucking thing

Why must I sleep for life if I must be awake to find the answers?

Why keep me up when I’ll still end up sleeping for life?

What’s life if it’s full of everything it’s not?

Shall we give her a new name then?

Death?

Nah. Let’s call her life.

For what is death but life?

And in this matter of life and death

One is certain. One is not. It’s up to us to decide which is what.

Love you forever, my dear Tosyn Bucknor. Love you. For ever.

See what doctors found in the belly of a woman they thought was pregnant with multiple babies

Doctors thought a woman was pregnant with multiple babies but several pregnancy tests came out negative, leaving her doctors confused.

Keely Favell’s big tummy made her go to the hospital for a test. When pregnancy tests had shown she was not expecting, she thought she was just piling on weight. But her bump kept growing bigger and made her return to the hospital several times.

After more pregnancy tests came back negative her GP who was still convinced a baby was the only explanation, referred her for an ultrasound scan. It was then that her enormous bump was revealed to be an ovarian cyst weighing more than four stone, the same weight as seven newborn babies.

Keely, 28, had a five-hour operation to remove the growth, which she nicknamed Mr Whippy.

She said:

I didn’t understand why until I came round and everyone was treating me like a minor celebrity. They explained how big this cyst was and showed me pictures – I couldn’t believe I’d been walking around carrying this medical alien.

It looked like a massive pile of ice cream so I called it Mr Whippy!

NDLEA arrests 2 policemen for escorting 1,250 rounds of live ammunition

Genevieve replies man who offered her free education

A Nigerian man has tagged Genevieve Nnaji a Feminist while calling her out over a post she ‘endorsed’ over sexual harrassment and consent.

The actress then gave him a short, classy reply.

In the post, the writer spoke about men sexually harassing women yet blaming the woman for bringing it upon herself through her dressing. The actress then went on to point out that Muslim women covered from head to toe also get harassed and wondered what that would be blamed on.

The post the actress endorsed also talked about consent and said it isn’t women’s fault that men aren’t raised to control themselves.

But a man felt her post was too “feministic” and told her she needs an education.

For some reason, Genevieve’s simple reply to the man is getting a lot of attention.

See Genevieve’s post and reply to the man below.

Recently I watched a video where I saw a Muslim lady get groped by a man passing by. I mention the fact that she is Muslim only to point out that she is completely covered from head to toe. And i remember thinking to myself, how are they going to spin this on her, surely she must have provoked this attack one way or the other. Since it’s not the way she’s dressed perhaps is the way she stood, maybe it was a bit too provocative, just a enough to drive the man over the edge, beyond his senses such that he lost all control and touched her.

Society tends to use dressing and religion to cover up the fact that touching a woman without her consent is wrong. From my personal experience when I have certain places to go to, I have to consider what I’m wearing because I’m afraid of being attacked and even when covered up I’m not assured that I won’t be. As my cousin said to me “Hide yourselves my fellow women less you breathe the wrong way and cause a man to lose his senses, after all their control is held by very thin air”.

It saddens me what my sisters and I have to go through. Of course it’s our fault for being women, that we were bestowed breasts by some nature. Our fault that men are not taught from young to treat women with honor and respect and that little girls are taught to be ashamed of their bodies. ••• #ArtVoice ?. #BeAVoiceInYourSpace

Kim Kardashian obsessed man undergoes bum surgery to look like hers

Kim Kardashian obsessed man

A man who is obsessed with reality star, Kim Kardashian has a second bum surgery, despite the fact he could have died following his first operation.

It seems there is no going back for Jordan Parke, from the West Midlands, UK, who is so obsessed with Kim Kardashian.

His first surgery which nearly took his life cost, £8,500 in Istanbul, and he is set for another round of surgery as he is not yet satisfied.

Having overcome the first surgery, Mr Parke decided to go back to Turkey for a second operation, as he felt his bum still wasn’t big enough.

This time, he spent £5,000 on the enlargement at the same clinic in Ismir where mum-of-three, Leah Cambridge, died during a Brazilian butt lift in August. Mr Parke says he has no option to go abroad for the operation as no UK-based clinic is willing to make his bum as big as he desires. He said;

“It (the first op) didn’t put me off having more surgery, I just ensured I booked with another clinic for my second bum lift this time.

“I’m a huge fan of Kim Kardashian and her bum and I’ll stop at nothing to ensure mine is as big as hers.

“Now I’m back from having my second surgery I couldn’t be happier so far.

“I had more fat transferred into it so give it a better more perky shape.

“What happened to Leah at the clinic in Turkey was awful but it does have a good reputation and that’s why I chose it.

“Thankfully I was one of the lucky ones.”

I’m ready to fight for Nigerians – Dr. Obiageli Ezekwesili

Obiageli Ezekwesili

The Presidential candidate of ACPN, Dr. Obiageli Ezekwesili, has expressed readiness to fight for the rights of Nigerians and eradicate poverty in the country.

She said this at a dinner in Lagos where Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, former president of Liberia, endorsed her presidential ambition.

During the dinner, which was organised by Women in Successful Careers (WISCAR), Ezekwesili narrated her age-long friendship with Sirleaf, part of which was her role as a senior adviser on economic reforms to the ex-Liberian president.

The ACPN presidential candidate explained that the exemplary leadership of Sirleaf showed that when “a woman stands up to say ‘I want to lead’, she is ready to serve.”

Ezekwesili said that Nigerians needed “a leader that is willing to give their all in character, competence and capacity to serve the people and take the country out of stagnation, mediocrity and cycles of failure in the hands of old order politicians.”

According to her, women and youths must find their voice in our country, and demonstrate that they are fed up of poor quality leaders who have held the country down regardless of which political party holds sway.

“It is time to vote them out so we can build a prosperous, stable and harmonious nation where everyone has equal opportunity to do well,” she added.

While urging Nigerians not to give up on the country, she said, “It is either we all resigned to hopelessness, surrendered and said thank you Nigeria, you defeated us, or we did one more thing; and that is, to mobilize ourselves as citizens and elect as President in 2019, a person whose track record of service to Nigeria and Nigerians is well known. That person is Oby Ezekwesili.

“I detest the bad leadership by old order political class while the country totters. I am therefore ready to mobilise my fellow citizens to #Fight4Naija. Nigeria needs all of us to fight for her rescue from the grips of those who are planning to be re-elected or elected again so that they can fail even more and watch more citizens join the already 87 million extremely poor Nigerians.

“The 2019 election is our opportunity to say ‘No’ with finality. It is truly now over for those who cannot offer any innovative ideas for the development of our country.

“In recent time, we haven’t seen people break out of poverty as it used to happen. A lot of our politicians and elite like me all had the opportunity to break out of poverty through access to education. Sadly these days, our people are trapped in poverty and parents cannot give qualitative education to take their children out of poverty. It is an entrapment that we must urgently destroy.

She warned that Nigeria cannot make progress with the increasing rate of poverty and declared that she was ready to rescue Nigeria from mismanagement.

She said, “How long are we going to last if we keep growing a an inter-generational dynasty of poverty? Nigeria has now taken over from India (which is 1.3 billion people and also seven times our population) as the world headquarters of extreme poverty.

“On the day that statistics came out, there wasn’t even an outrage from our politicians. Instead, political parties were busy passing the buck, defending their administrations and blaming others. No sense of embarrassment of such massive failure of our country. There is no better evidence of failure of our political class.

“Nigeria and Nigerians need to be rescued. It is time to say no to crippling failures. It is truly now that we must fight!.”

Video: Moment an unidentified man was caught on CCTV stealing from a boutique in Lagos

The CCTV Footage of a yet-to-be identified man stealing from a boutique in Osapa London, Lagos has surfaced online.

The thief arrived the store at about 12am yesterday Tuesday November 27th and carried out his operation for two hours.

He stole bags, shoes, clothes and other items worth millions of Naira.

The matter has since been reported to the police. Twitter user @freetori_who shared the videos online, wrote

My friend’s boutique at Osapa got robbed this morning from after midnight until almost 2am! CCTV footage showed the guy. He took everything! Money, clothes, bags, shoes, he cleaned her out! Such a wicked, wicked person. I’m going to post the video that shows his face next…

The thief clearly took his time. He took money, and used almost 2 hours to select and steal all the best clothes, shoes, and bags. Please RT and get in touch if you recognize him.

He walks with a very noticeable limp. He stole millions worth of merchandise from Lamore Collections boutique at Osapa. The matter has also been reported to the police. Nobody knows who he is yet.

Such a wicked person. He damaged the burglary proof and entered through the window. Robbery went on for almost 2 hours! Clearly unbothered. He actually checked the shoe and dress sizes before stealing them. He stole heaps and heaps and threw them out the window.

Watching the CCTV footage for over an hour was really upsetting. He was so intentional with the stealing. He sat down to count the money, looked for more money, and then started carefully selecting clothes, bags and shoes. Wickedness!

7 Female Friends Qualify As Medical Doctors In South Africa

7 Female Friends Qualify

A group of young women who are best friends have qualified as doctors from the University of the Free State, South Africa.

“We are prepared for anything and everything; our MBChB prepared us for the worst. We are confident that we will be able to handle whatever comes our way,” said Tshepang Motete, 24.

Motete, originally from Marquard in the Free State, said she was proud to be the first person to become a doctor in her family.
Despite being born and bred in a rural area and being raised by parents who were not professionals, Motete said she was determined to make her dream a reality.

7 Female Friends Qualify
(Front) Moliehi Mareka, Mahlatse Mothiba, Tshepang Motete (Back): Thato Mosehle, Toni Motseoile, Lungile Mkhungo and Lijeng Lefosa have all qualified as doctors.

“The fact that I wasn’t born in a family of professionals really played a huge role … because I took a decision to say I’d push against all odds,” she told TimesLIVE.

The group started off as classmates and ended up as friends in 2015.

“In our class there were probably 130 students, with only nine black girls, so we grew closer because we could relate to each other,” said Motete.

“It wasn’t easy to adapt to so many changes, for example, we had to use technological devices a lot. Staying at the university’s residence really made a difference because senior students were there to help us,” she said.

Thato Mosehle, 23, originally from the North West province, also said she was the first one to qualify as a doctor in her family. She expressed no fears for the future, but does have a concern about patients’ mindsets.

7 Female Friends Qualify

“I believe our programme prepared us for anything really. However, I am just concerned about stereotypes among our people,” said Mosehle.
Friends share their collective achievement after qualifying as medical doctors.

“There are patients who would prefer an older (nursing) sister over a young doctor. There are males who prefer to be attended to by other males, but I am strong enough to handle all that.”

Taking to her page on Twitter, she revealed that as long as her partner is not going to keep it secret, then she has no problem with him cheating. She wrote;

Simisola Sowole

This might sound crazy but over the years, I’ve realized that I don’t really mind if a guy cheats as long as he still loves, respects and performs his duty as a partner. It is something I’m going to discuss with my husband in future. I don’t like secrets. Unpopular opinion.

This is not even about self esteem. Far from it. And yes, someone can love you and still have sexual inter course with another person. And I still need his attention. That is the most important. We still have to retain the attention we give one another. My opinion please.

“People send me DM’s asking me how I remain sane and composed when so much negativity is thrown my way and my answer to you is simple: Anger only hurts you! What people think of you is none of your business, you just need to live your truth!

“When your sense of satisfaction and self worth is derived from the opinions of strangers then truly you are not in control of your happiness. This constant need of validation from randoms is so unhealthy.

“We are always told to stay away from negative vibes or negative people but then how will you grow your Love and Compassion if there is no one to upset you, hate you, hurt you or rub you the wrong way?

“Only YOU are responsible for your pyschic hygiene, only you can clear and fill your energy with love and goodness everyday, no one can do it for you and you can only do so through life experiences good and bad.

“Aim to be kind to your enemies and haters. Your acts of kindness are never wasted because ultimately, God sees your heart and that is really what matters at the end of the day.

“Wishing you a blessed week my Insta-fam! #lollipop #truth #love”
