Putting this out has been one of the toughest decisions I have had to make in a recent time. I know many may have different reactions, it obvious I won’t care.
Tomorrow, you will traditionally be married to the man you have preferred chosen and accepted for a life union, and on Saturday, it will be sealed before God and men.
Let me first of all congratulate you on this next level of your life. Kindly expect my absence as I won’t be attending any of both events. Not that I have any bad feelings about your decision, I don’t think I am emotionally strong to behold “the only woman I could say I truly loved” officially given out to another man.
I wish I can, but just understand I can’t.
I can still remember when you first broke this news over a phone call, it was all like a joke. I laughed over it but you insisted you were serious. Well, tomorrow it will be a reality that I wish it never were.
We met on 2go in 2011. I can remember how your Status draw my attention to your account. I started hunting you day and night online, as reserved as you were, you hardly came online not respond to me, not until one night after blazing you for ignoring me, I woke up in the morning to see your apologies which came with your phone number. The next morning witnessed the beginning of a friendship that last more than 6 years even in the face of our many differences and clashes.
It took you more than 2 years before you voluntarily allowed me to see your face. (You just pitied me… Lol) You were beautiful, reserved and sensible. I just knew you were a friend for a keep.
I was in my level 300 in the University when we met, you were just fresh out of Secondary school seeking Admission into the Higher Institution. This was the major source of insecurity and concern we had to face. You never believed I was for real, and for the long years we spent together, you never really believed I truly loved you because you felt I was in a particular societal class you weren’t fit for. My social media engagements, the imaginary “fame and Uyo popularity” was also a regular concern. I tried my best to prove it, I didn’t seems to succeed.
No matter how we both tried to adjust, I was still me and you were you the “reserved, private and unsocial” person. Our incompatibilities were just too clear. We kept believing we could work out fine someday but this has proven we were never meant to be.
I had spent time reflecting on the many crazy things I have done because of you. I wish you had at least believed me the much I did loved you.
Before we met in 2013, I had travelled from my NYSC base to Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic on hearing that it was your matriculation day. You didn’t inform nor invite me, I just came believing I could run into you. That was crazy, let me save the details of what happened that day cos it was a big craziness.
After crying for the lost of my first love, no other lady has made me cry but you. You are the only one that will make me angry and I will still come back to apologize. The looks in your eyes alone were strong messages, it could make me comport and behave in the mist of my craziness.
You had so much hold on me like jazz. Those who knew us wondered what it were. But I know it was love indeed.
I couldn’t ask for a better friend than you if I have another opportunity. We are leaving each other better than we met in 2011. Aside from my Mum, you were always my first point of call in critical situations. Your sense of reasoning, counsels, peace loving dispositions and godly personality has kept me from load of problems in this city. I can’t forget your consistent advise “Ufan, let it go, better things are ahead of you”, “Is it worth your stress, life or security?” and your “What ifB” that will leave me giving a second thought to my actions.

It was a long year of knowing each other. I wasn’t a perfect man, you had your own differences. We had ernestly tried to make it work but it never stayed smooth for too long. We are parting today not because we have stopped loving each other but because it wasn’t within God’s will for us. Maybe it’s a time for a deeper reflection for me.
I hoped and wished our beautiful love story would be told by us someday but God knows better. The police in Oyo state have arrested a driver identified as Solomon Okon, who stole his boss’ Honda CRV Sport Utility Vehicle in Ibadan and fled to Akwa Ibom state where he sold it to another criminal.
Okon was employed by his boss, Mrs Olufunke Obaba in September 2018 and by October, he had stolen her car.
Narrating how it happened, Mrs Olufunke Obaba said Okon had driven her in her car to the University Teaching Hospital in Ibadan for a checkup.
“We got there around 8.30am. He parked and I entered the hospital. About two and half hours later, I came back and my car wasn’t where it was parked. I called his numbers, none was going through. Then, I called my husband and told him to come and pick me. He came and took me back to the office.
“I thought he just drove the car out to enjoy himself and that he would bring it back. But between 3pm and 4pm, we felt we needed to report to the police. So, we went to the Yemetu Police Station in Ibadan, where we reported the disappearance of the driver and the car, and the police took it up from there.
“The following day, the station directed us to the office of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad at Dugbe, Ibadan, with a letter and a policeman. We got there and they started their job.”
The tracker that was installed on the car, helped detectives in location where Okon was. The tracker showed he was in Ijebu Ode and then in Igbokoda, Ondo State, before showing that that he had reached his home town which is in Akwa Ibom State where he was arrested after the detectives failed twice to arrest him.
Okon has since confessed to the crime and he would be arraigned in court soon.

A 20-year-old man identified as Yaw Kyeremeh has unfortunately drowned while being baptised by a pastor in a river south of Ghana’s capital, Accra.
In a video circulating on social media, Kyeremeh is seen stationed at the banks of River Densu together with a pastor who immersed him in the water. Then after brief prayers he was immersed a second time but he did not emerge from the waters.
Accra Regional Police Command spokeswoman Afia Tenge told the BBC a junior pastor had been arrested at the scene while police were still searching for the head pastor of the church involved in the baptism.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan Office has arraigned twenty four students of Olabisi Onabanjo University and the National Open University of Nigeria who were arrested for alleged involvement in various cyber crimes.
Ten of the defendants which include: Agboola Taiwo, Adetayo Tade Ademiluyi, Rabiu Daniel, Sokoya Oluwaseyi, Fredrick Shaibu, Oshikoya Gbolahan, Adegbola Kazeem Aina, Ademosun Opeyemi, Tosin Awobona and Babarinde Jacob were arraigned Monday, 10th December, 2018 before Hon. Justice Ibrahim Watilat of the Federal High Court, sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Fourteen others, comprising of Adeleke Oluwamayowa, Banjo Femi, Towolawi Olanrewaju, Tijani Babatunde, Sarafadeen Abibullahi, Adebowale Abimbola, Osunkoya Korede, Mufutau Yusuf Akorede, Salisu Ajibola, Olamikan Oluwasiji, Oduwole Gbenga, Damilare Adelaja, Bakare Azeez Adebola and Edward Ayodeji were arraigned on Tuesday 11th December, 2018 before Hon. Justice M. S. Abubakar of the Federal High Court 1 sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The defendants were all arraigned on separate charges bordering on obtaining money by false pretences, impersonation and possession of fraudulent documents. They all pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.
One of the counts against one of the accused persons reads: “That you, Rabiu Daniel (a.K.a. Agent Howard Hall) on 23rd June, 2018 at Abeokuta within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court with intent to defraud, knowingly had in your possession documents containing false pretences to wit: an e-mail address, [email protected] wherein you represented yourself as; Agent Howard Hall, working for the Government/Facebook Compensation Bonus and Poverty Eradication, and other false pretences, thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 6, and punishable under Section 1 (3) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act 2006”.

In new reports, the Minister of State for Environment, Ibrahim Jubril, has just resigned his appointment.
His resignation was announced during the Federal Executive Council meeting held at the State House in Abuja and presided over by President Buhari on Wednesday and a valedictory session was thereafter held in his honour.
Jibrin’s resignation comes few days after he was selected and declared 13th Emir of Nasarawa Town in Nasarawa Local Government Area of the State by the Nasarawa Emirate Council.
Until now, Jibrin had been overseeing the ministry of environment since the exit of the former minister, Amina Mohammed. His emergence as the Emir was announced on Thursday by the state commissioner for local governments and chieftaincy affairs, Illiya Osegba, at the government house in Lafia.
He said Governor Tanko Almakura also approved the selection of Jibrin as the new Emir.

A boy who was kidnapped from his parent’s home in Rivers state two years ago has just been found in Ebonyi state.
Destiny Azubuike was abducted from his home in Oyigbo, Rivers state, on the 19th of December 2016. He was found on the 11th of December, 2018 in Ohaozara Local Government, Ebonyi State, where he had been renamed Samuel by the woman who bought him.
According to Wired Nigeria, the boy, now 5, was abducted by one Mrs Evelyn, an ex-mistress of the boy’s neighbour identified as Dr Oberenwa. Mrs Evelyn sold the boy for N500,000 to Mrs Patricia Chukwu, a widow and staff of Ebonyi State Secondary School Management Board.
The police began trailing Mrs Evelyn after a tip-off. Mrs Evelyn was trailed to her ex-husband, who explained that they had divorced due to his suspicions that she had sold their biological child to a foster parent. However, he offered to assist in helping the police to find her. But he was soon killed while returning from work by unknown assailants who police suspect may be connected to his wife.
Mrs Evelyn later allegedly led a kidnapping gang in Isiala Ngwa South in Abia state. Further investigations led to her arrest at Umuikaa Junction in Isiala Ngwa South. She was then taken to Oyigbo Police Station where the matter was initially reported in 2016.
The suspect was interrogated by the police and she confessed and also implicated some other accomplices who have now been arrested

The Lagos State PDP governorship candidate, Jimi Agbaje on Wednesday took a swipe at the Oba of Lagos Rilwan Akinolu over a statement the monarch made in 2015.
Recall the monarch had mentioned that anyone who went against the ruling party then would be banished into the waters.
‘Jimi is my blood relation, and I told him he can never be Governor in Lagos now and if you [the crowd] do what I want then Lagos will continue to be prosperous for you, if you go against this you will be banished to the water! Finished!” the king said

Google CEO, Sundar Pichai has explained why US president Donald Trump pictures appears when you search the word “Idiot” in Google search.
Republicans allege that Google’s search results are biased and that Democrats who work at Google choose liberal websites over conservative views for prime placement on Google services like Google search.
When you type in “Idiot” in Google search, photos of US president Donald Trump comes up and Republicans in the US Congress grilled Google CEO Sundar Pichai about this.
Several Republicans on the committee, including Rep. Lamar Smith, said there was “political bias baked into” Google’s culture.
Democratic Rep. Zoe Lofgren gave Google CEO a chance to explain and convince them that there’s no conservative bias in Google.
Lofgren said to Pichai:
Manipulation of search results – I think it’s important to talk about how search works. Right now, if you Google the word ‘idiot,’ under images, a picture of Donald Trump comes up. I just did that.
How would that happen? How does search work so that that would occur?
Pichai replied:
We provide search today for – anytime you type in a keyword, we as Google, we have gone out and crawled and stored copies of billions of webpages in our index. We take the keyword and match it against webpages and rank them based on over 200 signals, things like relevance, freshness, popularity, how other people are using it. And based on that, at any given time, we try to rank and find the best results for that query. Then we evaluate them with external raters to make sure, and they evaluate it to objective guidelines, and that’s how we make sure the process is working.
Lofgren added:
So it’s not some little man sitting behind the curtain figuring out what we’re going to show the user – it’s basically a compilation of what users are generating, and trying to sort through that information.
And Pichai replied:
Last year we served over 3 trillion searches. Just as a fact, every single day, 15% of the searches Google sees, we have never seen them before.
So this is working at scale. We don’t manually intervene on any particular search result.
The Lagos state commissioner of police, Edgal Imohimi, has warned that anyone caught having sex inside a car in a public place in the state, stand the risk of being jailed for 2 years.
In a statement released by the command’s spokesperson, Chike Oti, CP Imohimi said he had to make this clarification following the recent tweet by ACP Yomi Shogunle who said it isn’t a crime to have sex in a public place. Read here ICYMI

3. The act is consensual (agreed to by parties)
4. Parties are of opposite sex

Sequel to the development, the CP Lagos has been advised by the Director of Public Prosecution of the state Ministry of Justice and the Legal Department of the State Police Command, Panti, Yaba with relevant sections of the law as follows:
Section 134 (a) Criminal Law of Lagos state 2015 prohibits any indecent act in any public place without lawful excuse. The law holds that such person is liable on conviction to 2 years imprisonment.
Section 136 of the Criminal Law of Lagos state, 2015 provides that any person who commits any act of gross indecency with another person in public commits an offence and liable on conviction to 3 years imprisonment.
It must be noted that section 134 which deals with offences against morality particularly section 134 (a) have it that indecent act in a public place makes both parties engaging in the act liable to imprisonment for 2 years.
In the same vein, section 231 of the Criminal Code Act which is a Federal law and applicable in states other than the northern states where Penal Code is applicable also make Indecent Acts punishable.
Going forward, the authorities of the Lagos State Police Command hereby declares that the assertion that sex in a car in a public place is not a crime in Nigeria is misplaced as the provisions of the Criminal Law of Lagos State prohibits such acts in public even if it is done with consent of the other party

Well, it’s apparent Davido apprised his signee not to follow in his steps but the latter didn’t heed and now he’s joined the league of celebrities-caught-in-bed-after-sex-with-strange-women.

Popular Nigerian comedian, Klint Da Drunk Igwemba and his wife Lilien have ended their decade-old marriage, SDK reports.
According to the report, the Marriage hit the rocks due to the irreconcilable differences between them and Lilien moved out of their matrimonial home in May, 2018, with their three kids.
