On Friday, American professional golfer, Phil Mickelson, sank a four-foot birdie putt on the fourth extra hole to pocket $9 million as he defeated legend Tiger Woods in an exhibition clash between two of golf’s greatest rivals.
Mickelson and Woods sparred over 22 rounds of match-play golf in front of an invitation-only gallery of 700 people at the Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas. Mickelson clinched the victory with a short putt after Woods’ tee shot landed on the green but he left his six-foot birdie putt short.
Mickelson had several putts to win earlier in the match that failed to drop, but he made no mistake on the final go at the par-three, 93-yard hole for the winner-take-all triumph. The match lasted five hours and finished in darkness as organizers had to use flood lights to illuminate the green on the final hole.

Woods had to console himself with making the shot of the match on the 17th when he nailed a long birdie chip shot from the back of the green to stay alive in the match.

World’s most expensive painting, a ‘Salvator Mundi’ by Leonardo Da Vinci has reportedly ‘gone missing’ after it was sold for £350 million last year to Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The world’s most expensive painting which hasn’t been seen in public since it was ‘acquired’ by Louvre Abu Dhabi via the Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman, has sparked off a growing concern over its whereabouts.
Professor Martin Kemp, the Da Vinci scholar who helped authenticate the piece a decade ago, told The Times:
‘Nobody outside the immediate Arab hierarchy knows where it is.’
Daily Mail reported that in 2005, the painting was acquired for less than $10,000 (£7,809) at an auction in New Orleans by a consortium of art dealers that included Robert Simon, a specialist in Old Masters.
However when Professor Kemp was asked where the 500-year-old painting might be, he rather worryingly responded:
‘I have no idea. The mystery of its location is, of course, disturbing.’
Boko Haram terrorists killed around 100 Nigerian soldiers on Sunday during an attack on an army base, Reuters reported on Thursday.
Reuters, quoting security sources said that the insurgents attacked the base in the village of Metele in Borno state.
“The insurgents took us unawares. The base was burned with arms and we lost about 100 soldiers. It is a huge loss,” one officer was quoted as saying.
Another soldier said more troops were killed on Tuesday as they tried to evacuate the bodies of the slain soldiers.
“We all fled because we didn’t know where the bullets were coming from. They killed some of us who went to evacuate the bodies of the killed soldiers. We left our amour, tanks and weapons. They were all there. The village is still under their control,” the soldier said.
My heart goes out to the families of every soldier that has died fighting Boko Haram. I will never forget their sacrifice.
The Nigerian Army, in a statement on Friday stated that indeed there was an attack, but “several social media, print and online publications have been brandishing false casualty figures.”
The statement which did not give a casualty figure said that “the situation is that the location is under control as reinforcing units have been able to repel the terrorists and stabilize the situation.”
The statement read in part:
It is important for the public to note that the NA has laid down procedures for reporting incidents that involve its personnel who fall casualty in action. Out of respect for the families of our gallant troops, the NOKs are first notified before any form of public information so as to avoid exacerbating the grief family members would bear, were they to discover such from unofficial sources.
Furthermore, it suffices to observe that several social media, print and online publications have been brandishing false casualty figures as well as circulating various footages of old and inaccurate BHT propaganda videos and alluding same to be the attack on 157 Task Force Battalion. Whilst it is understandable how such misinformation can spread in this era of social media frenzy, the spurious circulation of some of these videos only contribute to further propagate the propaganda intent of the terrorists; to misinform the populace and portray themselves as what they are not. Shadrach Adeboye Folarin, better known as Shaydee, has revealed that the strong bond between him and Wizkid is as a result of sharing a room with the music star for more than a year.
In a chat with Showtime, Shaydee explained how Wizkid offered to share a room with him at the label’s apartment when there was no room left for him to occupy after signing on to the Banky W owned record label.

Nigerian singer, Mr Eazi was reportedly thrown out and banned permanently from art center, TerraKulture, in Lagos yesterday November 23rd after he was reportedly rude to the owner.
The “Surrender” singer had booked TerraKulture for his show billed for yesterday which was then canceled.
In a series of tweets, Eazi stated how he got to the event center and did not like the stage he saw there which was different from what he had asked for.

A 21-year-old sex worker identified as Blessing Odama has been arrested for blackmailing her clients using their nude pictures.
According to the suspect who was arrested with her boyfriend, Ibrahim Danladi, both of whom are students of Federal University, Nasarawa State, she took nude snapshots of her clients in order to blackmail them because they were wicked and gave insignificant money after sex.
Her arrest came almost a year after her sister, Joy, also a 200 Level Mass Communication student of the Cross River State University, CRUTEC, was alleged to have been killed by an Abuja-based businessman, Alhaji Usman Adamu, who invited her to his house.
Her words: “I was forced to blackmail men because they are wicked. They promised to give good money before sex, but after, they give peanuts.”
The lovers ran into stormy water after one of their victims, Danti, paid the sum of N150k. The lovers later returned, asking for additional N300k. They further threatened to abduct Danti’s wife and children if he didn’t give them the N300k.

On Friday, 19th of November, Tosyn Bucknor’s French Husband, Boyer Aurelien found her dead in their apartment, after he returned from work.
Her death came as a shock to many.

3 siblings were on Friday paraded by the Ondo State Police command, for reportedly kidnapping their church member’s 6-year-old daughter.
The 3 siblings who were arrested while collecting a N720,000 ransom they had allegedly demanded, after kidnapping their church member’s 6-year-old daughter at Oba-Ile in Akure North Local Government area Ondo State, were identified as Joy Ramond, 19; Peace Ramond, 24; Ramond Ayomide,16. They also had an accomplice identified as Akinseye Oluwayomi, 18 a friend of Joy.
The suspects who kidnapped the girl during a meeting at their church, Jehovah Witness Kingdom at Apeju Street, Oba-Ile in Akure North Local Government Area of the state, were arrested by a team of Anti-Kidnapping outfit led by their officer in-charge in Akure.
The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, who disclosed that the suspects confessed to the crime, told newsmen;
“On Nov. 21st, one Mr Afolabi Oladapo of Sunshine Gardens Oba-Ile, reported that his daughter, Jamama aged six was kidnapped by unknown people in their Church to unknown destination.
“The hostage was released on Nov. 22 after the payment of N720,000 by the parent of the victim.
“Shortly after the payment of the ransom a team of Anti-Kidnapping outfit led by their officer in-charge stormed the venue where the ransom was paid.
“Ramond Joy, Ramond Peace, Ramond Ayomide and Akinseye Oluwayomi were rounded up and the ransom which had already been buried in an uncompleted building was exhume as exhibit,” he said.
Joy who was identified as the brain behind the kidnap, however claimed that he only took the girl home for safety, after he saw her wandering outside the church.
“The girl normally ran out of kingdom hall whenever we are doing meeting, so, that day I was coming from my working place, I now saw her outside the hall around 7pm.
“I now asked her where was going to and I told her that one day she may be kidnapped with the way was doing.
“So, I now took her home that day and I caller parent number to inform them that there daughter is with me but their phone number was switch off and I called them second day morning in which her mother came to pick her.
“The reason I did this was that I learnt that she is the only girl in the family and she has been over pampered because she normally go out as she like.
“So, I kept her to scare her, may be she will change her behaviours.
“As regards the ransom, I don’t know anything about the money, it may be another person who learnt about the issue that called for ransom with an intent to make quick money out of the situation”, he said.

Fake blind beggars using rented kids to beg for alms, have been arrested by The taskforce team of Anambra Ministry of Women Affairs, Social welfare and Children Development.
The ladies who faked blindness and use rented kids to beg for alms, were, yesterday, arrested, and one of the suspects revealed that one Edith, who hails from Ebonyi state and is currently at large, brings the kids to them every morning for them to rent at N1,000 per day.
During interrogation, the Commissioner in-charge of the Ministry was able to discover that the kids don’t even know where their real parents are. It is being speculated that they are victims of kidnapping or trafficking.
It was also discovered that the group of fake beggars camp at Army Barracks, Onitsha and none of them are from Anambra State. Most of them are from Ebonyi, Abia, Kogi and Imo states.

A man bought a second-hand storage unit at an auction and was shocked to find £5.8million cash inside it after it was opened.
This shocking discovery was made public by auctioneer Dan Dotson who hosts US television show Storage Wars. It was Dan who auctioned off the storage unit to the lucky buyer.
According to Dan, last weekend, at a charity event in California, a woman came to him and told him that one of this buyers had found a fortune inside a storage unit he bought from him for only £390.
Sharing the news via a video on Twitter, Dan said:
An older Asian woman at the table next to me kept looking at me like she wanted to tell me something. Eventually she walked up and told me her husband works with a guy who bought a unit from me for $500 and found a safe inside.
And the first person they called to open it I guess couldn’t or didn’t. They called a second person and when that person opened it up – inside the safe they’re normally empty, but this time it wasn’t empty. It had $7.5million (£5.8m) cash inside.

The Bauchi State Police Command has put a ban on all forms of social gathering in public places in the state without the approval of the command.
According to the police, the ban is in line with the Public Order Act and its statutory responsibility for the prevention of crime which is in view of recurrent violence emanating from such gathering, that led to the loss of lives and property.
The decision comes after three persons were killed and eight others injured following a violence that erupted at a birthday party in Lushi, an area near Yelwa, in Bauchi State. In a statement from the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kamal Abubakar, any person or group of people wishing to organise any form of a social event should seek security clearance from police.
He explained that such clearance can be got from the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of an area or as the case may be from the Area Commander or the Commissioner Police not less than 48 hours of the scheduled gathering time.
“Anybody found violating this order will be arrested and dealt with according to the law. Once again, the Command appeals for cooperation from the members of the public in this regards, as it is done in the best interest of peace loving people of the state and not to deny anybody’s fundamental right of freedom of association and to ensure that the existing peace and security in the state is sustained”
The Nigeria Customs Service says it has intercepted forty 40-foot containers loaded with tramadol and other dangerous drugs from India worth N7, 318,978,065.00.
The Comptroller- General of Customs, Col Hameed Ali (retd), said on Thursday that three suspects, including Customs officers who cleared the containers had been arrested for further investigation.
Ali also disclosed that NCS officers equally intercepted a helicopter and an aircraft from the United States of America over failure to provide end-user certificate and other documents.
He said ;
“The service is not only making concerted efforts to ensure that only maximum revenue is collected, but also to safeguard the security and wellbeing of the citizenry.
“We are all aware of the dangers that the deliberate non-compliance to import and export procedures pose to our nation as importers bring in all manner of items which put the security and health of the nation at great risk.
“Terrorists, kidnappers and other criminal elements get hold of these goods such as controlled drugs to perpetrate their heinous activities.
