A dismissed banker, Emmanuel Onuma, has found himself in Police net after he was caught breaking into the Automated Teller Machine gallery of his erstwhile employer and stealing N14 million.
The 34-year-old was said to have carried out the heist at the Garki, Abuja branch of the new generation bank on October 19, 2018.
Parading Onuma alongside other suspects in Abuja on Wednesday, the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Operations, Federal Capital Territory Police Command, Valentine Olumese, said the ex-banker was dismissed in August for fraudulent activities.
Olumese said ;
“On November 1, in furtherance of an ongoing investigation, police operatives attached to the Garki Division arrested one Emmanuel Onuma, who broke into the ATM lobby of a bank located in Garki on October 19 at about midnight and stole the sum of N14m.
Upon his arrest, the following amounts of money were recovered from him as exhibits: cash sum of $28,000; N1,650,120 and nine pieces of Ghana cedis. Other exhibits recovered from him include one new SIM card and flight tickets.”
Onuma, in an interview with journalists, admitted to the crime, stating that he carried out the act because the bank failed to pay his benefits after sacking him.
“I worked with the bank for 11 years and I was not settled; no benefits, no settlement; but there is no justification for doing something wrong,” he stated and declined making further statements.
American professional boxer, Floyd Mayweather has backed out of a fight with 20-year-old Japanese kickboxer,Tenshin Nasukawa which was initially billed to hold on New Year’s Eve in Japan.
The 41-year-old had earlier confirmed the bout for 31st of December 2018 during a press conference which took place on Sunday night in Tokyo.
It was also understood that he revealed that he signed with Japanese mixed martial arts promotions company RIZIN Fighting Federation.

K.Brule of Big Brother Naija ‘double wahala’ was involved in a car accident that left him unconscious, and he has been hospitalised since the incident.
The reality show star was driving on Sunday morning, November 4, at around 6am when his car experienced a blowout. He instinctively applied his brakes but his car spun out of control, somersaulted, and was struck by another vehicle.
K Brule became unconscious and was rushed to the hospital where he has now regained consciousness. He said “no lives were lost but both vehicles are total write-offs.

On Sunday morning the 4th November at around 6am my car experienced a blowout instinctively causing me to apply the brakes, which is the last thing I remember.
Eye witnesses say my vehicle spun out and somersaulted over a road divide into oncoming traffic where I was struck by another vehicle causing my car to flip multiple times back across the road divide. Luckily no lives where lost but both vehicles are total write offs.
I praise & thank God for being faithful & sparing our lives. Due to the nature of the crash the blame falls on me. & I have no idea how I will pay the damages and hospital bills for the other party as I’m currently owing my own hospital but at least I’m alive to worry about these things ?
please keep me in your prayers during these trying times. I may be hard to reach for a while as my phones were destroyed in the crash.
Ese Walter and her husband, Benny Art have parted ways after being married for about 5 years.
Ese Walter explained that she separated from her husband because being married made her compromise even to her own discomfort. She said she felt choked, lonely, and sometimes didn’t want to see her husband so much in a week.

The people pleasing part of me came out fully in marriage. I didn’t trust myself, let alone Boobdaddy. Being in this space where I can be me. Whatever that means to me, and the many changes that will rise, without worrying about pleasing another person outside myself, is very freeing. Selfish too. (I am a selfish woman)
It gets lonely sometimes but at least this lonely makes sense. The type of lonely I used to experience didn’t make sense. How can you feel lonely when you have a live-in partner?

An 18-year-old boy has killed his mother and had sex with her corpse in their rented apartment at 8B, Market road, Ologbo in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State, on Monday, in a bid to get rich quickly.
The suspect, Akpobome Samuel, strangled his 58-year-old mother, Gift Samuel, and had sex with her lifeless body with the expectation that money would gush out in the process.
The victim’s mother, Maria Gabriel, reportedly discovered the ugly incident when she went to her daughter’s residence about 6 a.m. to invite her to a nearby church for morning prayer.
Consequently, the killer son, Samuel, was said to have swiftly opened the door and attempted to escape but was held by neighbours who handed him over to the police at Ologbo.
Police investigators recovered semen-stained pants belonging to the suspect and his late mother from the room as exhibits. When being paraded, today, Samuel said: “I wanted to use my mother for ritual. I am 18 years old.
My father is dead. It was one man called ‘One Love’ that told me to use my mother for money ritual. He promised to give me N50,000 if I killed my mother and sleep with her.
He said I should cut my mother’s ear and fingers and bring them to him. I wanted to cut the ears and fingers before the people came in. I slept with my mother only once.
I pressed my mother’s neck to kill her while she was sleeping. The One Love sells drugs. He put something inside the drink he gave me and he told me to go and kill my mother.
The day I went to his house with policemen, the man had run away. I hail from Oghara. I work in a pure water factory. I now feel very bad because I was beaten badly by people. I did what the ritualist told me.

Mabel Okungbowa, the wife of late Nigerian music producer and singer, Babatunde Okungbowa popularly known as OJB Jezreel, has cried out after she was accused of stealing house documents belonging to the late producer.
According to an exclusive report by LIB, all is not well in the estate of the late producer located on Gbaja street in the Surulere area of Lagos, as it has been causing a lot of ripples since OJB’s demise.
The new authoritative report claim that OJB’s aged father, Pa Anthony Okungbowa wants his son’s first wife, Mabel Okungbowa to vacate the house with her kids, while OJB’s brother is also accusing her of ‘stealing’ and ‘fraudulent conversion of the house’.
Speaking while narrating her ordeal to LIB, Mabel said: “This house issue has been causing problems since OJB died. His family keeps accusing me of stealing the documents despite the fact that they all know the documents are with his lawyers. They’ve dragged me to court and used Police to arrest me several times. It’s really tiring’.
“Sometime in June this year, they told the court they wanted to settle the case out of court and we agreed with a mediator only for them to have me arrested again on July 11th. I was taken to Lion Building and accused of ‘stealing’ and fraudulent conversion of the house.
“We settled that one and after some time, police from Zone Two came to pick me up again over this same issue, they just went to deposit me at the barracks still claiming that I ‘stole the documents.’
“Now, I’ve been able to get a restraining order from the court against them (OJB’s father, his brothers and the police) and we have the next hearing of the case coming up on November 22nd”.

A 26-year-old love rat who stole his girlfriend’s credit card details to fund a romantic getaway to Paris with another woman, has been arrested at Gatwick Airport.
According to Mirror , Michael Fehsenfeld, used Angel Exford’s card to buy Sky subscriptions, hotels, flowers and the trip to France in the space of weeks.
He was caught at the West Sussex airport in October when he and his girlfriend were about to board the flight. But the fraudster was spared immediate jail at Camberwell Green Magistrates Court.
The duo dated for a few months before their relationship broke down in September – on a date before the break-up, he claimed he had lost his wallet so she gave him her purse to pay for their meal.
He used the chance to take her card details and after blocking her on social media, money started to mysteriously leave her account.
Angel was unhappy with the 26-week sentence, suspended for two years, and 150-hour supervised community service, however, she shamed Fehsenfeld by publicly exposing him on social media.

Flamboyant Nigerian Instagram celebrity, Hushpuppi, has taken a shot at President Buhari for not expressly approving the N30,000 minimum wage being demanded by the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC.

Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has stated that he will consider buying another football club if Premiership club Arsenal won’t be sold to him.
Dangote, who is a fan of the club has been wanting to buy the British club for years now – he says he’ll make a move only after he has completed one of the world’s biggest oil refineries in Lagos.
“By the time we’ve finished, we’ll be a $30bn company in terms of revenue,” he said in an interview with Bloomberg TV at the New Economy Forum in Singapore. “We’ll have an excess amount of cash to start playing around with.”
“I’m very attached to Arsenal but if he won’t sell, I might have to change,” said Dangote, 61 years old and worth $11.1bn. “I’m very much a fan of football. I’ll like to have a club. I don’t have to own Arsenal.”

A 28-year-old man identified as Jack Chapman, from Australia has died after injecting his balls with silicone during a ‘sex cult’ game in Seattle, USA.
The gay man who was said to be in a homoerotic master-slave relationship died after injecting large quantities of silicone into his genitalia.
According to UK Sun, Chapman’s death certificate ‘Silicone Injection Syndrome’ was listed as one of four causes of death, alongside three lung-related causes.

Garba Maru, pictured, who was recently arrested for killing his neighbor, Umar Mohammed at their home in Kokani Village, Fulani Camp, New Bussa in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger state, while speaking with the police, said that he used an axe to kill Umar because he offended him and as a Fulani man, he doesn’t know how to forgive people.
According to police report, one Hassan Mohammed had gone to the police station to report that the deceased, who was his elder brother, was in the market when the suspect and one Dan-Muzua asked him to come back to their camp.
When Umar returned home, Garba and his accomplice engaged him in a fight and allegedly killed him. They used an axe to inflict deep cuts on Umar’s body and he died from excessive bleeding.
When interrogated, Garba told the police he has had accumulated bitterness towards the deceased.
“I’m a Fulani man; I hardly forgive somebody that offends me. I will always remember and I’m ready to kill the person at any given time. I am such a person, if you wronged me in January and I see you in December, I will retaliate,” Maru stated
Confirming his arrest, the spokesperson of the state police command, Muhammad Abubakar, said Garba would be arraigned in court soon.
