The 51-year-old lecturer in the Department of Catering and Hotel Management, Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo, who was arraigned before a Makurdi chief magistrate’s court on Thursday, escaped mob action by angry women that wanted to lynch him over the death of 13-year-old Ochanya Ogbaje.

Mr. Andrew Ogbuja’s arraignment followed his alleged complicity in the serial rape of a minor, Ochanya Ogbaje, who died earlier this month from medical complications arising from the said act.

The court further heard that during Police investigation, Andrew Ogbuja was arrested for the offence while his son, who was a co-accused, fled and was still at large.

In his ruling, presiding Chief Magistrate Isaac Ajim took no plea for lack of jurisdiction to entertain the matter.

He ordered that the accused be remanded at the Makurdi Medium Prison and adjourned the matter to November 29 for further mention.

Meanwhile, the accused narrowly escaped mob action by angry women as he walked out of the court room, but for the quick intervention of security personnel, who smuggled him into a waiting Police van and whisked him away.

The women went berserk when they saw the accused making his way out of the court for a waiting Police van and surged forward to mob the accused but the Police prevented them. The placard-bearing women from different parts of the state, under the auspices of the National Council of Women Societies, NCWS, displayed “Ogbuja must die by hanging,”

“We demand Justice in this matter,” among others. Speaking to newsmen shortly after the court sitting, state President of NCWS, Chief Grace Okochi, said Benue women were pained by what happened to Ochanya and for what other women in the country were going through.

A man has revealed why he is not happy. According to the 47-year-old man he last had sex in 2004 when he slept with a woman he met in a bar.

The SunTeam met the ‘devastated’ man this week after his video, in which he complained that he last had sex in 2004, went viral.

Samuel Motlohi, from Turflaagte kasi in Mangaung, South Africa said he last slept with a woman he met at a tavern. He said since then women have been interested only in spending his money, while not letting him sleep with them.

In the video the cleaner at a local government office said : “I need help. I do not have a woman. “I last had sex in 2004. I need a good woman.”

Samuel, who is better known as Ganda Ganda, met the SunTeam during his lunch break.

“The video was shot by my friend in Botshabelo U section two weeks ago.“I regard myself as a virgin after living for 14 years without sex,” Samuel told Daily Sun.

“I do not have a woman in my life. I need someone to love and marry. I take my dirty clothes to the laundry and pay for them to be ironed.

“I need a woman who is serious about life and who will be ready for marriage. “I am tired of women who just want to spend my money. “I am not sure whether I will still remember how to satisfy a woman in bed.

“But I hope the chosen woman will bear with me. “I want to father a child or two before I die.”

Twin sisters, Hassana and Hussaina, 16, were abducted by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Tuesday along with their elder sister at Dauran village in Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

The twin sisters whose wedding was slated for December, were said to have been abducted at Dauran village at their elder sister’s residence.

They were said to have visited their sister, Summaya, 20, in preparation for their wedding.

Their father, Alhaji Abubakar Yusuf, said the gunmen invaded their sister’s house and abducted the three of them.

“We were able to establish contacts with the kidnappers and they demanded N150 million from me. I told them I had never seen that kind of money. We have lost sleep over the incident,” he said.

The vice chairman of the local government, Alhaji Abubakar Dauran, said over 15 people were recently kidnapped in five communities within the area.
