Emmanuel Kanu, the younger brother to the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has spoken on his brother’s appearance at a worship place in Israel.
He spoke with newsmen in Umuahia, after the news went viral on Friday.
“I can boldly confirm to you that the person in the video is my brother, Kanu. He was praying in the video that we saw.
“We are happy that he is still alive and we will try to establish communication with him,” Emmanuel said.
He said that the news was received with wild jubilation in their family and Isiama Afaraukwu community in general.

The palace of the Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has revealed why the king opted for Olori Moronke Naomi Silekunola Ogunwusi.
There was jubilation at Ile-Ife, Osun State yesterday as the Ooni received his new wife at the palace, a day after he marked his 44th birthday.
The palace said he married the woman because of the spiritual strength she will bring to the kingdom and the fear of God in her.
A statement issued by the Director, Media and Public Affairs of the palace, Comrade Moses Olafare, confirms Naomi as the Ooni’s new wife.
He also revealed that the marriage rights were done privately in Akure, Ondo State and she was later received at the Ooni’s palace.
“Her Majesty, Olori Moronke Naomi Silekunola Ogunwusi is the new Yeyeluwa Oodua.
“Necessary rites fully performed,” the statement read.
The monarch also took to social media on Thursday to express his joy.
He wrote, “I waited patiently upon the Almighty the King of kings, he eventually did it in the midst of many trials.

Olori Prophetess Naomi had to cross a spill of blood as one of the rites she had to performed as she moved into her husband, the Ooni of Ife’s palace last night.
Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has received his new Olori after the necessary rites have been performed, the Palace said.
“Her Majesty, Olori Moronke Naomi Silekunola Ogunwusi is the new Yeyeluwa Oodua. Necessary rites fully performed,” a terse message from the Palace said.

This is coming few months after we reported that over 2000 IPOB women who took went on a peaceful protest n Owerri, Imo State were teargassed by officers attached to the Imo Police Command.
Vanguard gathered that some of the IPOB women who wore black attire with some of them topless, were also arrested by the police shortly after they started the protest from Okigwe Road. Some of the women stated that there would be no election in Igbo land in 2019, while others expressed their unhappiness that pro Biafra agitators have been intimidated for expressing their views.
The women who disclosed that it was not a wrong step for them to demand for a country called Biafra, however scrambled for safety after ove 100 Imo police officers with their patrol vans went after them and further teargassed them during the peaceful protest.
Confirming the brief altercation, an eyewitness Kelechi Iheagwoba said;
“As a result of the fierce looking police officers fully armed who blocked the road for the women, these women diverted to from warehouse junction to Akwakuma.
“Do you know that many of these women fainted and also many of them were bundled into the police vehicles. Some of them were seriously beaten.”

Abba Isah Musa, known in his school as Social Engineer, was involved in a fatal accident on his way to Kano after his final year exams.
Hours before his tragic death, the young man had taken to his WhatsApp story to post, “Am coming home, tell the world am coming home.” He also wrote, A.B.U Zaria am going to miss you.”

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), has officially announced that its aid worker, a 24-year-old Nigerian midwife Hauwa Mohammed Liman who was captured by Boko Haram in May has been killed by her abductors.
Reuters, in an updated report, revealed that Red Cross said this on Tuesday, October 16, during an interview session with Patricia Danzi, its regional director for Africa saying the death of Hauwa was because it failed to pay her ransom, adding that paying such a ransom would set a regrettable precedent for other 16,000 of its aid workers across 80 countries in the the world.

However, the Geneva-based aid agency said that though it was reluctant on paying Hauwa’s ransom, it appealed to the the Islamic State in West Africa (ISWA), a faction of Boko Haram, to spare the life of the valiant aid worker.
“When health care workers are captured or abducted there is always a demand. We are a humanitarian organisation so we cannot enter into such kind of negotiations. So we always ask for unconditional release. And that’s what we did. That was the plea.
We believe that there is no cause that can justify an execution of a young healthcare staff (worker). We are now in a period of mourning…Then we will have to rethink what we can do. And the (security) guarantees we can get. Because we want to give humanity a chance, we want to be there for the people that still need our help.”
Nigeria is the ICRC’s second largest operation in Africa and its aid workers help 80,000 mainly displaced people in the northeastern town of Rann. Liman and two other Nigerian aid workers, Alice Loksha and Saifura Hussaini Ahmed Khorsa, were working in Rann when they were kidnapped by ISWA in March. Saifura was killed in September.

Officials of the Anambra State Government yesterday arrested a mentally-challenged and a Sum of N200,000 was found in possession.
Southern City News learnt that the woman, said to be in her 50s and always seen around Aroma Junction in Awka, the state capital, was arrested by government officials with the intention to take her to a mental home in the state.
A government source, who pleaded anonymity, disclosed that the officials approached the woman and led her into their van, but she protested that she would not leave behind her properties.
The source said,
“So, the officials told her they would not carry all the waste she referred to as properties, but she should take anything that was most valuable to her. That was when she ransacked the waste and dug out the money. “We were curious because she is a woman who is mentally sick and used to beg around Aroma Junction in Awka.
“In the process, N200,000 was recovered from her.”
A passerby, who identified himself as Tony, added,
“I know this woman. She is always neat despite her condition. She buys her own food each time she is hungry.
“She did not disclose the source of the money, but it can be from the proceeds of alms she had received over time.
“Again, it has long been suspected that men always sneaked into her place at night to meet her.”
Emeka Okoye a convener and a tech enthusiast, has shared an amazing discovery of a village school in Akwa, Anambra State, where some school children broke the norm to emerge as one of the most gifted sets of kids ever seen.

Beautiful Nigerian model, Seun Ajila who was allegedly raped and murdered at her family house has been buried.
Seun is the only child of her 60-year-old mother, was murdered at her family home located at Sunday bus stop in Akure, the Ondo state capital on Thursday, October 4th. She was laid to rested today, October 18th.
Seun was said to be home when her killer came in and murdered her. Her boyfriend, Adejimola Ebenezer, has since been arrested and is being interrogated over the murder.
Ebenezer has however denied having anything to do with her murder. He said they had no issues that would warrant him taking the life of the lady whom he professes love to.
