A driver in Anambra State with Eastern Mass Transit went completely naked in an attempt to resist arrest by officials of ATMA (Anambra Traffic Management Agency), after breaking traffic rule by parking at a toll zone at Aroma flyover.
According to reports,the driver was said to have seen the officials but before he could escape, the officials had made a quick move to impound his bus, when he suddenly went bare and prevented them from towing the vehicle.

A grateful mother has taken to Facebook to laud a boy who helped her daughter when she unknowingly got her period on a school bus.
In the message shared on the Facebook page, Gurgaon Moms, the US-based woman said the young man came to her daughter’s rescue and saved her from a potentially embarrassing situation.

My daughter started her period on the bus ride home today.

Muhammad Lawan Faro, the man who climbed a billboard hanger in Yola, Adamawa state capital recently with threats of jumping down if President Buhari fails to resign, has been released from police custody following his arrest.
The young man was initially arrested by officers attached to Jimeta Division of the Nigeria Police in Yola after his public stunt which made headlines.
Lawan said he would commit suicide if Buhari does not vacate the seat for Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidate.
Lawan Faro said his action was necessitated by the “extreme poverty” in the land. “I think it’s time for Buhari to give way for someone like Atiku Abubakar to lead us out of the present hardship”, he cried.
He threatened to fall off after 12 hours if Atiku Abubakar does not show up to assure him of Buhari’s ouster in 2019.
I will remain here for 12 hours to show my discontent, and someone not less than Atiku must come here to assure me that this government must be sacked in the forthcoming election.”

Elizabeth Ogbanje, a 13-year-old pupil allegedly raped by a lecturer at the Department of Catering and Hotel Management, Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo, and his son, has died from health complications at the Otukpo General Hospital, Punch reports.
According to the report, the teenager, who is a J.S.S 1 student died last week – her father has since demanded justice for her as he urged the police and the judiciary to ensure that the lecturer, Andrew Ogbuja and his son, Victor are brought to book.
Speaking to Punch, he said in quote,
“My daughter died on Wednesday at the Otukpo General Hospital. Her corpse has been brought to Makurdi for autopsy. We are awaiting the autopsy report. She was admitted to the Federal Medical Centre in Makurdi in February 2018 when she could not walk due to anal-related infections. She was bedridden for two months at the hospital. They ran a test on her and it was discovered that she had been sexually abused.
“The lecturer was remanded but we did not know how he left the prison. The police prosecutor said he was not aware of the bail. At the last adjournment, September 24, 2018 when we wanted to inform the court about the development, it did not sit. His son is still at large, but the police said they were making efforts to arrest him.
“What the family wants is justice. We are calling on the Commissioner of Police in the state, the state government and well-meaning Nigerians to do everything within their powers to bring perpetrators of this despicable act to justice That is the only way we can bring closure to the case and give the late Elizabeth her well-deserved rest. We have reported her death to the police.”
Her school’s alumni, like the rest of Nigeria, are rightly hungry for justice, leading to #JusticeForOchanya across social media pages.
She was sexually molested by her 52yr old lecturer uncle and his son from the age of 8 till she died at the age of 13 after complications arising from injuries sustained from the sexual harassment.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly raping a 100-year-old grandmother in her own bedroom in India.
The incident occurred at a village in Nadia district, West Bengal, eastern India.
Family members were alerted after hearing calls for help from the elderly woman’s room. They found the 20-year-old suspect, identified as Argha Biswas, hiding underneath the elderly woman’s bed, and he was arrested shortly afterwards.
The centenarian woman was taken to a hospital following the alleged incident but was discharged on Wednesday.
Speaking after the incident, the woman’s granddaughter, who wished to remain anonymous, said: ‘I heard some strange noises.
When I looked through the window, I immediately called others to help when I saw my grandmother.’
The suspect, Biswas told reporters that he was ‘under the influence of alcohol and did not know what I was doing,’ when questioned about the accused crime.
A timber contractor identified as Aluko Ramoni, was reportedly struck dead by thunder on Wednesday, while cutting an iroko tree in ifira Akoko, area of Ondo State.
According to reports, Aluko was in the forest with one of his colleagues carrying out their daily activities when the weather became cloudy and thunderstorm started.
While going about their business despite the heavy downpour, the thunder struck and he died instantly.
Many of the villagers trooped out to catch a glimpse of the remains of the man who was killed by thunder. The family of Aluko are currently at loggerhgeads with the traditional worshippers in the area. While the family demand that his remains be interred by them, the traditional worshippers are demanding that Aluko be interred in the forest since he died there.
Confirming the incident, the state police comamnd spokesperson, Femi Joseph, said the incident was quite unfortunate. Joseph added that the Divisional Police Officer in Isua in Akoko South-East Local Government Area of the state, Superintendent Biodun Ojediran, has been directed to further investigate the matter.
A 39 year old coach, Scott Vetere, was arrested with 18 years old Sydney Blair Townsend, in a car outside an apartment complex in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on October 8.
Police say the pair were engaged in a sex act but will not go into further detail.
Vetere was the teenager’s gymnastics coach at The University of Michigan and is a married father-of-three.
Both he and the teenager, who is also a member of the Canadian Senior National Gymnastics team, were arrested for indecent or obscene expose.
They face 90 days in jail and a $500 fine if convicted.
Vetere resigned on October 15, a week after his arrest but has not made a public statement about the allegations.
The university said that he was relieved of his duties two days before he handed in his resignation.

An investigation has been launched into his conduct, however, a source told DailyMail.com.
She is due to be arraigned on November 5. Vetere was arraigned on October 19. He is next due in court on November 14.

Ahead of an upcoming tour to Gambia, Ghana, and Nigeria, the Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall hosted a lunchtime reception at St James’ Palace for members of the British Nigerian, Gambian and Ghanaian communities.

A 14-year-old Nigerian schoolgirl identified as Oluwatunmise Idowu has shocked media users and Nigerians at large, that she was tagged “the girl with an electric brain.”
Tunmise is currently being celebrated online and she’s got the internet buzzing.
According to multiple reports, Tunmise in 2016 solved 17 mathematical questions in 60 seconds, and got all correctly. This was on the Cowbellpedia TV quiz show, an impressive feat that earned her the nickname, ‘Electric Brain’.
A Twitter page @SplufikNG, who shared her incredible news online, posted her photo and wrote:
“Meet Oluwatunmise Idowu, 14-year-old girl who has been described as a scholar with an “electric” brain. In 2016, she solved 17 Mathematical problems correctly in 60 seconds, a record on Cowbellpedia TV-Quiz Show. The record is still unbroken till date.”
Omoyele Sowore, owner of Sahara Reporters Incorporation and Objective Media Group Limited has been slammed with a fresh N2 billion libel suit by the founder of the Mountain of Fire & Miracles Ministries (MFM), Dr. D.K. Olukoya. In the suit filed before the High Court of Akwa Ibom State, Uyo, were listed as the 2nd and 3rd defendants.
According to the court papers, Sowore was accused of consistently tossing out publications that are slanderous to Pastor Olukoya’s person. Olukoya and his church are claiming N2 billion against the defendants for alleged aggravated libel and have asked the court for order compelling Sowore and his media platforms to pull down and erase each of the offending posts from the internet forthwith.
They are also praying for an order directing the defendants to tender written apology and retraction in form and content acceptable to the claimants and published prominently in Sahara Reporters online news media, on Facebook and in at least three nationally circulating newspapers and two international magazines, including TIME International.
In addition, the clergyman is asking the court to issue an order of perpetual injunction restraining the defendants by themselves, his agents, servants, privies or other persons howsoever called or described, from further making, publishing and/or disseminating libelous stories and statements against the claimants or any one of them.
The pastor also alleged that Sowore and Sahara Reporters on September 4th, 2018, made and posted a video recording of Sowore addressing a crowd of his purported political supporters on their respective Facebook pages under the heading “Breaking! Sowore Reveals Why MFM General Overseer Daniel Olukoya Is After Him, as He Arrives Lagos”. The video was published after the clergyman had filed a separate suit against Sowore and Sahara reporters.
In the said video, Sowore was alleged to have falsely and maliciously said to have spoken and published against the the clergyman and his church the following words inter alia namely:
“On Olukoya, very important because this is the latest that happened. I have done reporting on many cabals and you know in this country there are religious cabals, political cabals, traditional cabals and family cabals so I touched all of them not only Olukoya. Remember the one that was sleeping with a prostitute in Canada… It was then that he then went and looked for a Judge in Uyo. Imagine a man of God that is on Lagos – Ibadan Expressway now going to look for a judge in a case that doesn’t even involve them. My suspicion is that they found a judge who is probably a member of their Church who said that he will teach Sowore a lesson. That is not going to happen…”
No date has been fixed for hearing on the N2 billion libel suit.
