Family and friends of a newly married man, Benard Peter Agada, are in deep sorrow following his untimely death just three weeks after his wedding.

Benard and his wife, Ehi Gift Itodo, tied the knot in Otukpa, Benue State, on December 30, 2023. Sadly, he passed away recently but the cause of his death was not made public.

The heartbreaking news was confirmed by his friends through Facebook posts on Monday, January 22, 2024.

One Comrade Agada Joseph wrote: “I don’t know what to say. This one too much, Benaldinho Agada you promised to call me back bro. Your wedding was 30th December 2023 not even up to a month. The lady, who joined the trend of plaiting the popular hairstyle, Koroba which means “bucket or pail” in English, revealed it bruised her scalp. The hairstyle looks like the regular bucket used in the bathroom, but turned upside down.

It’s a style of hairdo where every roll is picked from the centre of the head and plaited round the head in the shape of a basket. The hairstyle is mostly common among primary and secondary school students.

Popular Nigerian singer, Spyro, has disclosed that although he has the ability to draw, his father prevented him from pursuing a career as a professional artist.

He claimed that when he gave up drawing and decided to pursue a career in music, his pastor father also tried to stop him from becoming a singer, but that endeavour was unsuccessful.

In an interview with Taymesan for the Tea With Tay podcast, Spyro revealed this and recalled how his father angrily disagreed with his choice to pursue a career in music.

Despite having parents, the “Who’s Your Guy” hitmaker revealed that he turned to mundane occupations like selling recharge cards to pay his expenses and purchase studio time so that he could compose songs.

He said;

“Being a pastor, my dad never wanted me to do music. I was a fine artist before. I could draw so well but for one reason or the other, he stopped me from doing that. Then I started music. He also wanted to stop me from doing that then I got rebellious.

I have always had a flair for music right from primary school. I was in the church choir. And I was really good. All the choir masters back then always commended my talent. I was also playing the drum set back then. But my dad never wanted me to do music. It was war. But I knew it was what God has called me to do.

After my secondary education, I started recording songs at the studio. I was selling recharge cards back then because I had to make ends meet even though I had parents that were feeding me. But I had to hustle to pay for my lifestyle and book studio time.”

Speaking on the meaning of wealth, the actor described wealth as including not just monetary benefits but also networking and information development that may open doors to the purchase of tangible items.

A video that was shared on TikTok by @theabisola and is currently trending on all social platforms has sparked different reactions from internet users.

The video captured the filling of a meat pie, which the recorder claimed to have bought for 50 Naira in a Lagos Park.

The snack which appeared attractive on the outside was stuffed with jollof rice instead of the normal filling.

The content of the snack surprised some internet users as each one of them wondered why the baker chose to fill the meat pie with rice instead of the usual.

While some of them shared what they would do, if they were to be in her position others guessed that the recorder baked the snack all by herself and didn’t purchase it from anywhere.

A self-proclaimed ‘Yahoo boy,’ identified as Ifeanyi Kanu, has been remanded in prison after attempting to use his girlfriend, Mmesoma, for money ritual.

In a video circulating on social media, Ifeanyi disclosed that he has been dating Mmesoma since 2020 and only recently attempted to use her for a money ritual.

He explained that he initially conspired with his friend, Chimela, to kidnap Mmesoma to extort money from her parents but later decided to use her for money ritual instead.

According to him, he went to a place where he was instructed to bring a cow for the ritual, and he chose to bring a ram, but the ritual didn’t work.

At this point, he was instructed to bring a human being because it would supposedly be more effective and grant him the wealth he desires.

Ifeanyi claimed he was forced to proceed as the place was run like a cult, where individuals are obligated to fulfill any required tasks.

Following the demand for a human sacrifice, he stated that he planned with his friend to invite his girlfriend to his house, where they would tie her up and murder her for ritual purposes.

Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, was attacked by some men after allegedly failing to fulfill a gig he was paid for.

The singer took to his Instagram page in the early hours of Monday, January 22, to share videos of the moment the men confronted him in his residence.

In the clips, the men were seen challenging the ‘Zazuh’ star for not fulfilling his end of the deal despite having already received payment from them.

One of them punched Portable in the eyes, forcing him to cry out and question why they went as far as physically assaulting him.

“Why you go blow me?” he was heard screaming repeatedly.

After the incident, Portable revealed that he had to go to the hospital for treatment as his eyes were swollen.
