Doctor shares testimony of his miraculous survival after tanker fell and crushed his car in the recent Ojuelegba incident (photo)

A doctor and his driver miraculously survived after his car was crushed when a tanker fell from the Ojuelegba bridge and landed on cars, killing commuters, on June 19, 2018.

Professor Olufemi Adetola Fasanmade was one of those affected in the crash. His car was badly crushed. But he and his driver managed to come out alive from the car.

Fred Chukwulobe, a friend of Professor Fasanmade, shared a photo of the badly damaged car and gave a testimony on behalf of the professor.

He wrote:

“MIRACLE STILL HAPPENS.

THANK GOD FOR MY DOCTOR AND FRIEND, PROF. Olufemi Adetola Fasanmade who miraculously survived this terrible accident. An articulated vehicle fell on top of his car, crushing it and not him.

He and his driver came out of this mangled car with minor injuries. Praise God.

Prof. Fasanmade, an endocrinologist and an amiable human being, treats my mother and my family. I recall each time I go visiting him, we discuss the challenges confronting our beleaguered nation. He’s so passionate about this country and will always tell me how he looked forward to the day our country will come out of the woods.

Unlike many doctors who see themselves as next to God, Prof. Fasanmade is approachable and is also ready to help at the shortest notice. He can diagnose and prescribe medicine for you in an emergency without asking for deposit. On many occasions and in crisis situations, he has had to come to my mother’s aid even without seeing her. Once she’s stabilised, he’d would ask that I bring her to the hospital for him to see and follow up.

You can imagine my excitement when I learnt he was the one in this car which was crushed by a care less articulated vehicle driver.

I am so overjoyed that I’m sharing this post in celebration of a miraculous survival of my dear friend.
I am so happy that he’s alive and well and will continue to provide healthcare to the people who rely on him in a country where healthcare provision is a tall dream.

Please join me in thanking God for their survival.

President Buhari yesterday, July-12th-2018, described himself as a very slow reader.

The president made this description of himself during a joint press briefing with visiting South African president Cyril Ramaphosa.

Speaking on why he is yet to sign the Continental Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) , the president said

“I am very careful about what I sign whether it is my cheque book or agreements especially when it involves nations and states. As your president has said, we are so populated and have so many young unemployed citizens and our industries are just coming up. So, in trying to guarantee employment, goods and services in our country, we have to be careful with agreements that will compete maybe successfully against our upcoming industries.

I was presented with the document. I am a very slow reader maybe, because I am an ex- soldier. I didn’t read it fast enough before my officials saw that it was all right for signature. I kept it on my table. I will soon sign it.”

The CFTA is an agreement which 44 African countries have aggreed to sign so as to form a $2.5 trillion continental free-trade zone, with a view of helping the continent “create a single continental market for goods and services, with free movement of business persons and investments”.

Man With World’s Longest Fingernails Cut Them After 66 years (Photo)

Shridhar Chillal, an octogenarian from India, has finally perform an ordinary chore that he has not done in the last 66 years – cut his fingernails – the longest in the world.

The historic nail-cutting ceremony took place at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum in Times Square.

The 82-year-old had been growing the nails on his left hand since he was 14, having been inspired to do so after a teacher told him off when he accidentally broke a very long nail the teacher had grown.

The teacher told Chillal that he wouldn’t understand the kind of care it took not to break a long nail unless he did it himself. Chilal certainly took that to heart.

According to Wikipedia, Shridhar Chillal held the world record for the longest fingernails ever reached on a single hand, with a combined length of 909.6 centimeters.

Thunder kills 3 people in Ogun State

Three men died, on Thursday, after being struck by lightning following a downpour in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun.

The incident occurred opposite the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium road in Ijebu-Ode at about 3 pm.

It was gathered that the victims, and a fourth person, had disembarked from their motorcycles and ran toward a makeshift shelter for the rains to subside when tragedy struck.

The three victims were said to have been hit while the fourth person took to his heels unharmed.

Bystanders refrained from going near the corpses for fear that the occurrence was related to perceived punishment from Sango, the god of thunder, for wrong doing.

Fake ‘burn victim beggar’ busted in Anambra . (Photo)

A pregnant lady disguising as a burn victim, yesterday, escaped jungle justice after being nabbed at the New Auto Spare parts Dealers Market Nkpor, Onitsha, Anambra State.

The suspect had already succeeded in deceiving many people, claiming her face was burnt during a gas cylinder explosion.

However, an observant man identified as Kelvin, suspected it was a makeup and quickly told her to leave the market, but before she could leave, other people got wind and pounced on her.

Sensing that she might be killed due to her condition, Kelvin immediately called in security officers and handed the suspect over to them. She was later smuggled out of the market.

Tiwa Savage has come out to say people can’t beg her for money, then say bad things about her without expecting her not to get upset.

The ‘Ma Lo’ singer, who is signed to Mavin Records, vented on her Instagram story on Thursday about someone who begged her for money then went on to bad mouth her.

“Next time you think of sliding in my DM asking for money or anything remember your personal opinion and miss me with your bs,” she said without revealing who the messages were directed at.

“Wow they beg you for money today and tomorrow talk trash because it’s not personal, they just doing their job abi… okay blocked.

“Celebrities are human. You can’t beg for money then talk trash and expect me not to catch feelings.

“Like are you serious? F*** outta here with your bs.”

Earlier in the day, Savage announced she will be headlining her own concert at Indigo at the O2 in London in August.

It is common to find followers seeking financial assistance from celebrities on social media.

Serena Williams reached the Wimbledon final for the 10th time on Thursday and will face Germany’s Angelique Kerbei for the title.

The 25th seeded American downed German 13th seed Julia Goerges 6-2, 6-4 to book her place in her 30th Grand Slam final.

The 36-year-old, who will be in her first final at the majors since giving birth to daughter Olympia last year, can equal Margaret Court’s all-time record of 24 Slam titles if she beats Kerber in what will be a repeat of the 2016 final at the All England Club.

Speaking after the game, Serena said: ‘It’s crazy, I l didn’t expect to do this well in my fourth tournament back. I can play so free and that’s kind of what I’m doing.’ ‘This wasn’t inevitable for me, I had a tough delivery (birth) and had multiple surgeries, I couldn’t walk to my mailbox so it’s not normal to be in a Wimbledon final.’

“I just knew you guys were going to ask this question but this is what I find interesting, people have asked why do I wear a wedding band and my very humble response is the way I have operated in the last few years, I decide what I want people to know not the other way round.

“When you come to my Instagram page, people wonder why I don’t put up my son’s picture often but I said no, it doesn’t work that way, my son is another entity, a human being, I chose this path, he didn’t.

Yemi Alade had an interview on a talk show on HOT FM (98.3) few days ago where she made a comment about operating on the same level as Davido and Wizkid.

She had said:

“I respect everybody, we all inspire each other in this industry… there is actually no number one because your top five artistes in Nigeria that are the biggest in Africa can shut down the exact same capacity. “The same capacity Wizkid holds down in Africa, I hold it down, the same capacity Davido holds down in Africa, I hold it down, the same venues, we all shut it down. “So there is no number one, and that is the truth but not everybody will agree to that, people will say Yemi shut up but that is the truth. Why don’t we go ask the promoters, the people who know the numbers?”

During the interview, the talk show host, Misi also slammed Tiwa Savage. She claimed that the singer and mother of one only shouts during her performances.

She made the statement as she praised Yemi Alade whom she said is vocally better than Tiwa Savage.

Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode, popularly known as Do2dtun, OAP on Cool FM, has reacted to this controversial interview.

In a series of tweets, OAP Dotun stated that his colleague in broadcasting lacks the ethics of the job for making such an opinion public and on radio.

He went on to chastise radio employers for only looking for people with phonetics without considering whether they have broadcasting ethics.

Tiwa Savage to headline her “Savage Tour” concert at O2 Arena in London

Tiwa Savage is set to headline her own concert at the 02 Arena in Indigo, London. Her tour is titled ‘The Savage Tour’, and it’s going to be a one-woman show.

It is scheduled to hold on August 24.

“Time is almost here, London I promise you carnival weekend is going to be bananas,” Savage said.

Adekunle Gold, alternative Afropop singer, recently held a sold-out solo concert at the Indigo O2 in London.

The Indigo at the O2 venue holds 2,800 people for music gigs.

In May, Wizkid headlined the sold-out Afrorepublik concert at her sister venue, the O2 Arena, which packs a staggering 20,00 people.

After Wikid’s feat, Davido is now set to pack the same venue to the brim in January 2019.

Chelsea have finally sacked Antonio Conte and paved the way for Maurizio Sarri to replace him as the club’s new head coach.

Owner Roman Abramovich has risked paying Conte his full £9million compensation bill with the Italian ready to take a year out if no big jobs become available.

Abramovich held off sacking Conte to see if a job became available that would save Chelsea having to pay him off, but the club have been left with little choice but to act – despite the Italian returning to take pre-season training since Monday.

News broke from Italy that Conte had been sacked and, although Chelsea have refused to comment, he officially left the club on Thursday.

Unless a private agreement can be struck or Chelsea and Conte embark on a bitter legal battle, the Blues will have to pay the 48-year-old for the final year of his contract that was only improved on July 18 last year.

Sarri will now be confirmed as Conte’s successor after Chelsea finally made a breakthrough with Napoli over his release.

The move from Napoli was held up after the Italian club appointed Carlo Ancelotti as their manager, but refused to let Sarri out of his contract.

But progress has been made over the past 48 hours and Sarri has agreed a two-year contract with the option of a third if an agreement can be signed off with Napoli. Gianfranco Zola could also return to Chelsea as part of the backroom or technical staff.

Sarri could be followed by midfielder Jorginho from Napoli, with Chelsea willing to pay £50m, plus £7m in bonuses, for the pair.

The Blues also hope to sign Aleksandr Golovin and Daniele Rugani. They are also interested in goalkeeper Alisson Becker if Thibaut Courtois decides he wants to leave.

Female Soldier dehumanizes two men for scratching her car in Lagos (Video)

A Female Soldier identified as Patricia Ajie subjected a driver and his conductor to an extreme inhumane treatment.

She meted such treatment to them because they used their bus to scratch her car’s side mirror under Dopemu Bridge in Lagos.

According to reports, Ajie, after making them pay for damages, went ahead to instruct them to clean her boot before ordering them to lie down inside a muddy water and forced them to drink it.

The officer was also accused of harassing those who tried recording the incident.

A married woman was allegedly caught having sex with her ex, who is also a married man, and they were stripped and humiliated in their community in Amokwe village, Oduma, Aninri local government area, Enugu state.

According to reports, the married man left his village and journeyed to Amokwe to meet with his ex who is now a married woman. But neighbours alerted the womana’s husband and the couple were caught having sex in the woman’s matrimonial home.

The infidelity angered the woman’s husband who then tried to cut off his rival’s penis but was held back by locals.

The woman and her lover were then stripped, beaten, and paraded by community leaders who said this is the first time such an abomination will be happening in the community.

The married man was also made to walk about with wedding photos of his married lover hanging from his neck.

Singer, Yoko B speaks out on why he is insisting 2face stole his song

Fast-rising Festac based upcoming singer, Analike Okezie aka Yoko B accused popular R&B star, 2face Idibia of song theft and insisted the track “Amaka” is his.

2Face had released a pop tune titled, “Amaka”, on June 26, which features DMW’s Peruzzi, and like 2Face, Yoko B’s version is also about how an “Amaka” broke his heart.

Though Yoko B said his version was released in March, but both songs do not bear any similarities save for the title and theme.

A visibly distraught Yoko B who spoke on the chat, said, “They can’t do such thing to us and expect us to be calm about, we paid money for the production of the said song Amaka. We are still saving up for the video and we have already been negotiating with music video director, Avalon Okpe.

“I released my song five months ago and I have been unable to raise funds to shoot the video. The new song, Amaka, by 2baba featuring Peruzzi is my concept. Richie, who also produced the chorus of the song, produced the song.”

Speaking about the origin of the alleged song theft, he said, “Shortly after producing my song, Larry Gaga employed Richie and he left Festac Town for Lekki where he worked with 2baba. My songs were still on his computer at that point. I was shocked when I discovered that they had ‘stolen’ the title, concept and message of my song”.

When asked if he has confronted Richie personally, Yoko B said, “The producer is not saying anything reasonable. All he keeps saying is that is that anyone can sing a song and name it Amaka.

“They said they don’t know what I am saying. They say I’m making a false accusation to gain publicity. But I wonder why the concept and instrumental of the songs are so similar if something isn’t fishy.”

Yoko B also said that 2Face’s lawyers have reached out to his team demanding an apology.

“They (2face’s lawyers) are demanding for an Apology from us accusing us of trying to taint 2face’s name. Can you imagine? Am I not the one to request for an apology from them for manipulating our song and stealing our concept? Instead of getting us involved before recording theirs. That is pure wickedness and an inhuman act towards a fellow being.

“They used a different producer who works with them in their studio so it won’t look obvious that I was copied, period. They said I should withdraw my statement and write an apology letter to them for trying to defame 2face.

“These people know what they are doing. I am sure that somehow, 2baba must have heard the song. To cover their tracks, 2baba’s version was produced by another producer, Sperochbeatz, but they all work in the same studio.”

Juliet Mgborukwe has released screenshots of text messages exchanged between her and her estranged husband Chima Ojukwu to counter his claims that she cheated and she was a bad mother.

She claims she couldn’t have been a bad mother to her kids because Chima and his family kept begging her to come back after she left. She shared screenshots to prove this. She also shared screenshots that prove he cheated on her and rubbed it in her face.

Reacting to the allegations that she cheated on Chima, Juliet shared screenshots to prove that she was the one who sent the message she got from another man to Chima after they had gone their separate ways.

She also revealed he beat her up several times and in one of the videos, Chima is heard admitting to being violent towards her. He admitted to giving her a black eye before and threatened to do it again if she keeps trying him.

I wasn’t going to respond to all the twisted and manipulative lies and baseless allegations against me by Chima, but I am sorry, for posterity sake, i will speak my truth and let it be. First please I ask a Favour of you, you said you caught me pants down with a man, in your house, could you please release any pictures, videos or whatever proof you have as you are very good at keeping records, actually, we are both very good at that as that is what our marriage deteriorated to in the last 3 years. You put out a video of me smacking your phone off your hands while recording me,then you turned it around and say I was abusing you? you have to do better than that. Your parents were living with us for almost a year and I left your house 3weeks after your parents left so when exactly did this Incident happen? smh. You denied breaking my nose or ever putting your hands on me well I guess these videos and messages between you and your counselor says otherwise and how you have brutally beaten me more than 8times, even twice while I was pregnant. The reason why you are still walking freely today is because of the kindness of my heart as I refused to testify against you or show up in court while you were facing 4years jail time, instead I left for Texas for a while to stay away from the pressure from the government to press charges which was why you bought me the BMW to say thank you.

If I was so much of a bad person like you claimed, why were you and your family begging me to come back after I left (#ProofAbove). Because I stood my grounds this time and you saw your trite begging didn't work no more, you resorted to low and porous lies. Typical of psychotic abusers like you. To everyone I have disappointed by putting this out, I am sorry, I know y’all said I should ignore but you will understand when you are the one wearing the shoes. On this note, Chima you can put out anything you want from here on, I will never respond to your lies,i made my mistakes with you, but for my beautiful children, i regret all else and i sure learnt the hardest way. I am in a happy place in my life right now and I won’t let your negativity pull me down. I wish you all the best in life and I do hope you get the help you need because deep down inside of me, I believe you are mentally unstable.
