#BBNaija : People think i’m a bitter person, I don’t even know what that means – Cee-C

bitter person

First runner-up in the just concluded Big Brother Naija, Cynthia Nwadiora, aka Cee C, tells TOFARATI IGE about her time in the house and her future plans.

When did you decide to participate in Big Brother Naija?

A few weeks after I saw the advert on Instagram, I decided to attend the audition and I was successful.

Did you share your plans to participate in the reality show with your family?

No, I did not tell anybody.

How did they react when they found out you were going to be a housemate?

They know I have always wanted to be on TV, so they were not surprised about my decision. The fact that I made it into the house despite the large number of people that auditioned also impressed them.

What are some of the most important lessons you took away from the Big Brother House?

I learnt to live and let live. Also, adversities are opportunities for you to shine, so make the best of it.

If you were to go back into the house, what would you do differently?

I think I would be an older version of myself; this means I would be more mature.

Was your attitude part of your strategy to win the game?

I am always myself. Everything you saw in the house was real.

What do you regret doing while in the house?

I don’t have any regrets.

What’s the next stage for you?

This is a new environment, so I am trying to get used to it. I’m looking at the opportunities I have to know the ones to go for and make money. I hope to act and I’m also a music artiste.

Were you in a relationship before the competition?

No, I wasn’t and I never thought of finding love while in the house. I was there to play a game and I planned to do whatever it took to win.

If you could date one person in the house, who would it be?

Nobody. I wasn’t attracted to anybody in the house. As regards the kind of man I like, the God factor is very important. It also has to be someone who understands and loves me deeply.

You were reportedly mobbed at the airport when you got back to Nigeria. How was the experience?

We had just come out of the house and I didn’t know what to expect. We were just in the house doing our thing; we didn’t even know if people really watched us. However, the reception was overwhelming and I felt loved. It felt good seeing so many people rushing to say hi. As for the attack on me, when you have a large crowd, such a thing is inevitable; I think it was a mistake.

People are insisting that you knew Ebuka before the competition. What is your reaction to that?

I would rather not talk about that please.

What’s the greatest misconception that people have about you?

People think I’m a bitter person and I don’t even know what that means. I am not a bitter person in any way.

If you had won the competition, what were you planning to do with the prize money?

I would have used it to finance my MBA and film school education; I still plan to do that anyway.

How would you describe your personality?

I think I am a very strong person.

What’s the reaction of your family to your behaviour in the house?

They were happy to see me. They have not told me that they were not happy with anything I did in the house.

Chart topping hip-hop act, J Cole delivered a stellar performance Friday night at the Castle Light Unlocks concert alongside several top Nigerian acts.

The much anticipated event which took place at the Eko Hotels and Suites attracted quite a large turnout of young, fun loving Nigerians who came out in their numbers to catch a glimpse of the American superstar.

J Cole, who recently dropped his fifth studio album, KOD, has a large following in Nigeria with fans who have been following the progress of his career since his debut studio album, Cole World.

This was the rappers first appearance in Nigeria and it could not have come at a better time, less than two weeks after the release of his album, which has broken several chart records since its release.

The show which was hosted by the duo of Nigeria’s D.O.T.U.N and South Africa’s Pearl Thusi opened with performances from several Nigerian deejays and artistes taking turns to thrill the audience.

Themed in a 10 minute ‘versus’ mode, it brought out top performances from the likes of M.I and Ycee, Falz and Tiwa Savage.

For Wizkid, it was a night to forget as coupled with technical issues, his low energy and lack of cohesion made his performance look unplanned and disjointed.

Davido was however impressive with his set, from the selection of songs, bringing members of his crew on stage and his grand entrance, will leave a lasting memory in the mind of the fans.

But the night belonged to one person and the anxious crowd began to chant his name immediately after Davido left the stage.

At exactly 2.05am, Saturday morning, the man of the hour took to the stage in a Nigerian jersey and delivered a standout act.

Performing from his large catalog of songs from past albums like Cole World, 4YourEyezOnly and even tracks off the new album KOD, like the title track, Photograph and Motiv8, J Cole did not disappoint as his energy and crowd engagement was a delight to watch.

Lasting almost an hour, the rapper who was visibly surprised by the crowd’s reception to his songs rounded up his performance with ‘No Role Model’ , fully justifying why he is the man of the moment.

The performance will go down as one of the most memorable showings by an international artist on Nigerian soil, and it once again confirmed how much Nigerian youths embrace and have been influenced by sounds from the other side.

The night also witnessed top artists like Simi, Banky W, Ikechukwu Killz, who were there as fans of J Cole.

#BBNaija: Tobi Bakre says Efe was voted out of pity

Tobi Bakre has thrown jabs at the winner of Big Brother Naija 2017 See Gobe, Efe Ejeba.

In a recent chat with Punch, Tobi who came 3rd in the 2018 BBNaija show, reportedly said many people voted the last winner out of pity.

What he said when asked how he felt when he made it to the final three of the reality show

I was so happy when I made it to the final three. I was very happy because I knew that at that stage, anyone of us could emerge as the winner. We did not know the amount of love people had for us outside the house.

I particularly wanted people to love me and see the values that I had because I knew that whenever I left the house, that is what people would still love about me.

Personally, I think that in the last Big Brother that held, people voted for the winner out of pity not because they really saw value or potential in the winner, that is just my personal opinion, I stand to be corrected. But as for me, I wanted to go to the house and let people love me to the extent that when I leave the house, I would be a mentor to other people based on my behaviour in the house. I wanted people to still want to know about the Tobi brand after the show and that was my driving force.

#BBNaija: This is not the time to be in a relationship with Alex – Tobi Bakre

Tobi Bakre has opened up on his time in the house, his relationship with Cee-c, and also Alex coming into the picture.

Tobi Bakre in an interview with Punch recently was asked why he moved from Cee-C to Alex after their relationship turned sour.

The second runner-up in his response said he didn’t move on to Alex and what they felt for each other didn’t happen instantly.

On moving on to Alex

I did not move on to Alex; neither was it a fast move. Within the first three weeks, CeeCee and I had a very good relationship but for another six weeks, we began to have issues but Alex and I had always been casual friends from the onset.

When Leo left, we decided to talk a lot more and in the house, typically, you always had that one person you always confided in and both of us happened to be each other’s confidant.

So we got closer and got to understand each other better. It was a case of us getting to know each other better and it was a gradual process.

It was not until the last two weeks to the end of the show that we became very close and a week to the end of the show, we realized that we shared some feelings with each other.

It did not happen instantly. It was a very gradual process. Three months is a long time for a lot of things to happen.

On if he’s in a relationship with Alex?

The truth is that we like each other but the Big Brother has presented us with a very big opportunity we could actually dilly dally with our relationship and work but this is not the best time for anybody to be in a relationship.

Personally, I advised her that this is not the time to be in a relationship, it is a time to focus on your goals and everything you want to achieve in life.

When you get to that comfort zone that you have achieved everything, you desire you can entertain a relationship. That was my advice to her.

I told her that I like her and I am sure she likes me as well but we should maintain a cordial relationship at the moment and keep our friendship going as we achieve things both collectively and individually.

When we get to a stage in our friendship where we feel that we have done well and we have grown together, then maybe we could be together.

When we get there or if we ever get there, the world would know.

#BBNaija: Cee-c reacts to viral photo of her and Ebuka at a pageantry

Cee-C reacts

Yesterday, Ebuka had an interview with Beat FM’s Toolz where he talked about his ‘alleged’ relationship with BBNaija’s housemate Cee-C.

Ebuka had said he had never met Cee-C and the first time he met her was on the stage of Big Brother Naija opening show when other housemates were entering the house.

Cee-C, while in the house had told other housemates that she met Ebuka before she came in right the house and once met him for a slot to be part of the BBNaija reality show.

However, a photo surfaced last night of Cee-C during her pageant days where Ebuka was the host of the beauty pageant but now Cee-C has addressed the issue.

Thanking the different sponsors they have been visiting during their media rounds, Cee-C wrote:

I know i have alot to address and answer but I want to address this particular issue.

An interview of someone I respect, admire and see as my mentor was drawn to my attention. Like I said in the house I met @ebuka at an event he hosted, Yo!!! the fact that you meet somebody doesn’t mean that the person has to remember you. @ebuka is HUuuuGE in this industry and probably meets over 100,000 people a week, so therefore he has every right to say he has not met ME. What I said in the house was from the view of someone who does not understand the industry. Guys I have met and had conservations with alot of people this week, that would as well say they have met me this week too and I can’t even remember.

To my fans, I do appreciate you all for always having my back, mehn!! where did you guys get that picture from????

I advise we take it easy with the bashing, negativity, etc

Love You All,

Nigerian man exposes face of lady who sent him her indecent photo on Whatsapp in order to request for help from him.

The foundation owner shared on social media, the nude picture of a lady whom he said is one of those who usually request for help from him on his platform.

He however censored her body but revealed her face to serve as a warning to others who might to send him nudes.

According to him, this particular lady threatened to send him the nudes if he didn’t reply her messages – he presumably didn’t reply her and so she carried out her threat.

He wrote:

”After warning severally on this platform that Im receiving too many nudes from those requesting for help, its driving me crazy and distracting. My phone saves pics automatically..

I’m afraid to show people things on my phone cos I don’t know how many more naked bodies would have lined up again since the last time I deleted.

We have agreed on this forum to expose them, ba?

This girl is a scape goat cos hers came as a threat.

Pls stop people, just stop. There’s no shape you wanna show that I’ve never seen before, you cannot lure me into approving you.

Anyways, if you have sent me naked pics because I have not opened your mail, go and delete. Next time I will show your whole body, name and handle. I will not bring this post down.

Maybe the fear of being exposed will make people stop.

Abi how do we combat men that request for sex before helping when y’all send unrequested nudes to strangers.

Lets put on our bras and pants for now.
Pls lets do normal.

“Leave Senator Dino Melaye alone” — Actress Maryam Charles

Popular Actress, Maryam Charles has spoken about the “unfair” treatment meted on Senator Melaye.

The Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye earlier claimed he is being denied access to his family, lawyers and food.

Melaye is currently on admission at the National Hospital in Abuja after sustaining injuries while trying to escape from the police.

The police were driving him to court in Kogi, when he jumped out of the vehicle.

Writing on Her Instagram page, Maryam said;

“Leave Senator Dino Melaye alone. I watched in amazement how Senator Dino Melaye was been treated by men of the Nigerian police. My amazement turned into shock when I saw Dino on the floor after he alleged that ‘they’ wanted to inject him with an unknown substance.

“I don’t understand what led to his arrest in the first place but I know this is no way to treat a serving senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. How many senators can boast of the impact Dino has had in his time as a lawmaker?”

“Some may laugh at him and call him the dancing senator, or unserious lawmaker but you have to admit that Dino is playing his part and is still playing his part in the development of this country.”

“This is a man who stood against corruption in the last regime and now, as a lawmaker sponsored bills all aimed at bettering the life of the common Nigerian.”

“If our lawmaker can be harassed in this manner, what hope does the average Nigerian have? Guys, our security forces need to treat Dino with respect. #FreeDinoMelaye”

While in the Big Brother House, Cee-c and Tobi were chosen as strategic partners, a relationship which later brewed into a somewhat romantic affair.

But unlike other partners who shared kisses freely, Cee-c found it difficult to be that intimate with Tobi.

It took a long while before Tobi kissed Cee-c but it finally happened. Asked how he felt about the kiss, Tobi said,

“I actually did not see us kissing because I felt she had a picture she wanted to paint to the world, so I never really expected a kiss despite the fact that we played around the house and it was almost as if we were flirting with each other.

“Even when she kissed me, I thought she was playing a game with me and this is me being honest.

“The kiss came to me as a surprise and for a few days, I was worried because I began to wonder what game she was playing.

“That was a situation I did not understand.”

Nigerian Lady kisses friend on the lips as she celebrates birthday

In another episode of things-we-see-on-Nigerian-social-media, a lady has heavily planted her lips on that of her maybe ‘friend’ or ‘partner’.

As she celebrated her birthday sometime in March, this Nigerian lady took to her Facebook page to share photos she took while celebrating her special day – one of these photos show her lips locking with that of another female.

Questionably, the photos she took only show her with female friends and with the photo of her kissing one of them, it has tongues wagging whether it’s a clique of homosexuals.

#BBNaija: Leo drops ‘eyebrow raising’ comment on Cee-C’s Instagram page

Leo drops

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Leo recently dropped an eyebrow raising comment on fellow housemate, Cee-C’s Instagram page.

The comment has driven Cee-C’s fans gaga as they say his former in-house love interest, Alex will get a taste of her own medicine after they accuse her of not letting Cee-C reconcile with Tobi.

Leo wrote,

‘@Cee-Official See you tomorrow ?’

Recall that Cee-C had always made it clear, Leo is the only male contestant she could date apart from Tobi.

Well, we never might know, they just might be the next raving Big Brother Naija couple… Would it be such a bad thing?

#BBNaija: Rita Dominic dishes out advise to former housemate, Nina

Nollywood veteran actress, Rita Dominic has in light of the controversy trail former housemate, Nina’s love life, dished out a word of advice to the fair skinned beauty.

This comes after the 22 year old has concurrently granted interviews about her boyfriend, Collins and in-house lover, Miracle.

Rita who has been a staunch supoorter of Miracle and Nina, tweeted,

You do not have to answer every single question that the media asks you. Your personal life is yours. You can choose to keep it private. Learn to say- “Next question please” ?❤

Nina shared a video on social media recently after fans trolled her calling her a gold digger et all because her relationship with Miracle obviously changed when he won the big brother game. [WATCH THE VIDEOS HERE]

In the new video she shared, she says it’s not possible for her to have done all she did in the house with Miracle and expect her boyfriend to still want her. This obviously means she’s ditching Collins and she was abruptly blunt about it.

Well, let’s see if she’s going to heed to the wordings of the actress…

#BBNaija: Alex’s fans drag her former love interest, Leo, for congratulating her N1m win and calling her ‘darling’

Alex fans drag leo

From the look of things, fans of former housemate, Alex, just might not be so happy with her former love interest, Leo following a recent gesture he made towards her.

It should be recalled that Alex and Leo were an item while in the Big Brother house and when Leo got evicted, Alex almost cried her eyeballs out.

After Alex and the other top finalists left the house last Sunday, Leo didn’t for once acknowledge her on social media.

Alex who was voted the most fun housemate during the show was presented a N1 million cheque yesterday, which she shared on social media. Happy that she emerged winner, Leo wrote

“Congratulations darling “

After this, Alex’s fans then attacked him for referring to her as ‘Darling’ – they say he should not come and disturb Alex’s budding love with Tobi who has since declared interest in her.

After former Big Brother Naija housemate, Nina dumped her boyfriend, Collins on national radio, there’s been numerous reactions over her action.

Shortly after revealing that she was ready to continue with Collins despite allegedly getting down with Miracle, the 22 year old recently announced during an interview with Beat FM Lagos that there is no possibility of reconciling with Collins.

This action of hers affected the way her fans see her – many are now of the perception that the N45 million prize won my Miracle and his new found fame must have influenced her selfish decision.

One of her fans who’s not in the league of dubbing her gold digger, but actually supports her decision, is popular Twitter user, Eric Okafor.

Eric Okafor says Collins is just a kid, so it’s cool if he got dumped by her… Sharing a photo of the gentleman on his Twitter page, he wrote,

So this is Nina’s ex that you people are taking panadol for. He’s just a kid and y’all are acting like he sponsored her through school in hopes to marry her. Common stop it! #BBNaija

Omo-Agege takes Senate, AGF To Court

Omo-Agege

The Federal High Court, Abuja on Friday fixed April 30 to hear a suit filed by Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege against the Senate, the Senate President and Attorney-General of the Federation.

Omo-Agege, who represents Delta Central Senatorial district, filed the suit to challenge his suspension from the Senate.

The judge, Justice Nnamdi Dimgba fixed the date after refusing to vacate an earlier order he made granting accelerated hearing of the matter.

The Counsel to Omo-Agege, Mr Alex Izinyon, (SAN) had approached the court with an ex parte motion seeking an injunction against the Senate, but the court declined.

The court then asked Izinyon to put the respondents on notice. Justice Dimgba ordered that the Senate and Senate president to show cause why the reliefs sought by the senator should not be granted.

The court gave the respondents seven days to show cause, ordered an accelerated hearing of the matter and adjourned to April 27, for definite hearing.

However, when the matter was called, Izinyon informed the court that he was ready to move his motion saying that the matter was slated for hearing of the substantive case.

Izinyon also told the court that the respondents had been duly served with the originating summon.

But Mr Mahmud Magaji, (SAN), counsel to the Senate and Senate president, raised an objection, saying that he had filed a memorandum of conditional appearance.

Magaji said he filed an application, seeking the court to set aside its order which granted abridgement of time to hear the matter.

The counsel maintained that he was just briefed of the matter on April 19, and that he had not sighted any of the originating processes.

The judge, however, said that the court had proof that the Senate and the Senate president had been served through clerk of the Senate.

“I have to protect the integrity of the court. On two occasions, this court has respected the Senate and as well, I expect the Senate to respect the court,” Dimgba said.

He directed the respondents to serve advance copies of their counter affidavits and other processes on the plaintiffs through email, not later than 7 p.m, April 27.

The judge adjourned the matter until April 30 for hearing of the substantive suit.

Omo-Agege is asking the court to among other reliefs; grant an order restraining the defendants, their servants, agents, privies or officers from interfering with his rights and privileges as a Senator.

“An order of perpetual injunction, restraining the defendants, their servants, agents, privies or officers from interfering with the plaintiff’s rights and or privileges, as a Senator.

The reliefs also including ‘’preventing him from entering or remaining within the precinct or chamber of the Senate or National Assembly”, among others.

Poe reveals why Tiwa Savage, Korede Bello, Reekado Banks are more popular than he is

Poe reveals

Poe is a rapper signed on to the Don Jazzy led Mavins Records.

Critics and music pundits have been speculating that he would not enjoy equal attention from the label like Tiwa Savage, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello, Dr. Sid or D’Prince.

But in a chat with Showtime, he revealed that contrary to public opinion, he enjoys the same attention and benefits his label mates enjoy.

“I don’t agree that Mavin Records hasn’t done much to give me visibility because I feel like each artiste is different. I also feel one of the most important things people need to understand is that we’re nine artistes on the label; everyone is different, the timing is different for every single artiste and there is a period of incubation, creating your sound, finding your feet, finding out which direction to go”, he said.

He suggested that because he is a rapper, it may take some time for him to gain popularity like Tiwa Savage, Korede Bello or Reekado Banks.

“I’m the one signed on to the label, everyone is on the outside looking in but I’m the one on the inside so I don’t think the label isn’t giving me much attention. I feel the attention and for me I know that it’s going to take longer because I rap; I don’t sing, when I make music I rap, I write lyrics.

Adekunle Gold shares heartbreak story, how it inspired him

Recalling the most painful love experience he has had to grapple with in a chat with Showtime, Adekunle Gold said he was heartbroken when he discovered that his ex- lover had another lover while she was also in a relationship with him.

“My most painful love experience would be dating a girl that had a boyfriend and I did not know. It’s actually the reason I wrote ‘Nurse Alabere’, in my new album”, he said.

Unlike some men who would resort to playing games after such a heart-rending experience, Adekunle Gold has found love again and he is proud to affirm that she is the very understanding type who has found a way to cope with his celebrity status.

“Yes I have a girlfriend and she is the understanding type”, he said.

Cynthia Morgan in trouble over unpaid rent, tax evasion

Cynthia Morgan unpaid rent

Cynthia Morgan has been missing for a long time and people have been asking questions.

Her absence from social events and even social media has been so noticeable that Nollywood actress, Adesua Etomi asked about her whereabouts in a tweet last week.

According to Saturday Beats, the music artiste is currently facing financial difficulties.

Saturday Beats exclusively obtained court documents showing that Cynthia Morgan has been charged to the Ikeja High Court for failure to pay her rent at her Omole apartment.

Sadly, it was learnt that on the same day the artiste was served court papers for defaulting on payment of rent, she was also served with court papers for evading tax.

A source close to the owner of the apartment where Cynthia Morgan currently lives told Saturday Beats the amount she owed, which tallies with the information on the court papers obtained by Saturday Beats.

The source added that the singer’s brother has been begging the owner of the apartment for further grace period even though the initial six months grace given to the artiste ended last month.

“Ever since she moved into the apartment as a tenant, the owner of the building has described her as a nightmare. She has since been given quit notice.

“At a point, the owner of the house didn’t even know who was staying in the flat because every day, new faces showed up at the apartment and they would leave the gate open at odd hours.

“Young scary looking boys with different hair colours come around and they smoke in the compound.

“They disturb the nice couple living in the flat upstairs, who have been complaining that they can’t even let their kids play in the compound because of the type of people they see around.

“She has owed waste bills for over a year. They always play loud music at odd hours of the day. Funnily enough, the couple who live upstairs are also popular; the man is a very popular celebrity designer but I would not want to mention his name.

“His wife always complains that her home help sweeps cigarette butts everywhere all the time.

“Cynthia Morgan decided at a point that she was going to be recording in her room.

“When the noise was too much, the owner of the house had to talk to her about it. She has been given quit notice.

“The six months grace period is up and she was meant to have moved out last month. She is flat broke.

“They have been pleading that they don’t have anywhere to move to neither can they come up with the rent.

“But it’s her brother that has been speaking on her behalf. We haven’t seen or heard from her but he claims she is always locked up in her room.”

“The court papers have been submitted to Cynthia Morgan’s apartment already and she has been served a court date. She owes N1.3m.

“According to her elder brother, she is in the house. She was also served court papers for not paying up to N3.584m in tax. It was the agent that sued her on behalf of his client.

“He is a very popular real estate agent; he is like a celebrity estate agent. He’s the one that gets apartments for most of them,” the source said.

Despite the court papers with Saturday Beats, when a call was placed across to Cynthia Morgan’s phone, her representative who identified himself simply as Maze denied the fact that she owed money.

He simply said, “I do not know of anything like that and I would say that it is a lie. I do not know about any court papers, so I would say that it is a lie.

“To the best of my knowledge, I am not aware that she owes her landlord any money. I believe that if they claim she smokes, entertains strange guests and leaves the gate open at odd hours, they should have proof.

“In my book, none of this statement is factual. I don’t know about these details and I would say that it is a lie.”

Ufuoma McDermott talks about how she almost lost her son during childbirth

Ufuoma McDermott talks

Ufuoma McDermott during the week celebrated her birthday and she received lovely messages and accolades from family, friends and fans.

One of the most heartwarming messages she received was from her children, who sang for her while they enjoyed a bowl of ice cream.

The actress could not enjoy the moment alone, so she posted the heartwarming video on her Instagram page and unsurprisingly, fans were quick to adore her children.

But unknown to most people, the actress would have lost her son during childbirth if she had not listened to her doctor.

In an exclusive chat with Saturday Beats, the actress revealed that both her children were born by caesarean section.

She said only ignorance would make a woman refuse to have a CS simply because she wants to be a strong ‘Hebrew woman’.

She said, “Both of my children were born by caesarean section and I still feel very proud of motherhood. My children are my treasure and pride. I don’t think anyone should decide how a child is brought into the world because complications sometimes warrant CS. If everything is good, then the doctor would insist on a normal birth.

“At any point in time, motherhood is motherhood. It makes me laugh when people say that women who have a CS are not strong women. It is amazing how ignorant some people are. My son, for example, was conceived through in vitro fertilisation and when it was time for delivery, there was a breach, which means that the head of the child was up in the uterus as against it being down, so it was not advisable to push at the time.

“I’m glad that I listened to the doctor because, by the time my son was brought out, he had his placenta around his neck. If I had pushed, I might have strangled him. I think it is ignorance when someone comes out to say that she is a strong woman so she has to do normal child delivery. Yet, I am patient with people because I got to a point where I was enlightened.

“Most people that say they are Hebrew women speak from what they have been taught by their mothers and grandmothers. They have been told that if they do not have the normal childbirth, then they are not Hebrew women. These women can be forgiven because the truth is that a mother is always a mother. When it comes to the process of childbirth, you cannot take away the pain that comes with it whether it is by CS or normal delivery; you would feel the pain whether it is before, during or after childbirth.”

The actress noted that even though her baby was born by CS, she was on her feet the second day just because she wanted to catch a glimpse of her newborn.

“CS is actually a stitch, it is a wound and it takes time to heal but in my case, I was already walking by the second day after giving birth to my son. The labour ward was different from where they kept my son and I could not sleep because I wanted to see him. I was a new mother, the nurses told me to stay put, but I did not listen. I was crying as I dragged myself on the staircase to see my son. In all of it, I think we should just appreciate mothers because they go through a lot. Even if it is an adoption, a mother is a mother and you cannot take that away from her.”

I’ll speak on my baby mama scandal soon — Klint Da Drunk

baby mama scandal

A few weeks ago, ace comedian, Klint Da Drunk, was in the news after a lady identified as Sandra Novo-Jacob alleged that he impregnated her and did not want to take responsibility for the child.

But since the allegation was made, the comedian has kept mum till Saturday Beats approached him at a recent event.

When the comedian was asked about his side of the story, he said that he would address the matter in due time. “Don’t worry about that one. That gist would come out in due time. Just leave that part,” he said.

Taking a trip down memory lane, the comedian said that initially, no one wanted him to pursue a career in comedy, especially as he was portraying himself as a drunkard. He told Saturday Beats that things were so bad that his father once beat him and locked him in a toilet.

“When I first started the Klint Da Drunk character, my parents did not like it at all; in fact, nobody liked it. There was a time my father locked me in a toilet after beating me, then he brought me out after some time, beat me again and told me that if I ever did the character again, I would be in trouble. When he found out that I was going for shows while in school, he threatened not to pay my school fees and truly, he did not pay. I went for other shows, made some money and it was my mother that gave me the other half of the fees. My father did not pay. When my mother was doing that, she did not like it,” he said.

Klint Da Drunk stated that after comedy made him famous, his father was quick to say that his gift was passed down to him from his paternal grandfather.

“When I became successful in my craft, my father came to meet me and told me that I did not make him understand what I was doing at the time he was punishing me. He said that his father used to be very funny too in those days and he was sure I got the gift from his father (my grandfather). I simply told him that I did not get the gift from anybody and I am the originator of comedy in the family and I would pass it down.

“The truth is that I am grateful to my father for not allowing me the full freedom I desired. If he did, I might not have been the comedian I am today. Simply because he told me to quit comedy, I wanted to prove a point and I took it seriously. I knew what I was doing was not wrong or bad, I just wanted to do comedy,” he said.

“TBoss is human after all”- Nigerian Lady writes amazing piece about Tboss

Nigerian lady writes amazing

A Nigerian social media critic, identified as Iremide, has taken her time to write about Tboss.

According to the lady, she had never appreciated Tboss until today when she stumbled on her Instagram page, only to see a video of her talking about her fears and how she was able to face them and eventually conquer her world.

So I wasn’t the biggest fan of Tboss. I still don’t think I am. Boss Nation, don’t even try to come for me!!! But now, I respect her.

Read her article below;

I was Instagram-trolling this morning. Yes ke, that’s what I use my mornings for. I go about spreading my brand of pepper around my social media domain. But I stopped by Tboss’ Instagram page today and I was positively shocked. There is some video of her talking about her fears. Tboss has a fear? I didn’t think of her that way. She strikes me as being scared of ants and chicken.

That I can relate to. But talking about her fears, for real? Naaah. But today, I saw a different side of her. Many people have that fear. I had that fear and for a long time, I couldn’t even admit it to myself.

So I will tell you about the woman I was, the woman that gave birth to who I am now. I was sort of like Tboss in the Big brother House. I seemed conceited and full of myself. I was stunning and I am not bragging, trust me, God was having a fun day when he created me. I modelled for a bit when I was in the university. I was the chick who walked down the road and there were whistles. It had become a cliché. But I revelled in it.

But you see, the one person I wanted. The one person I needed never looked my way once. My father, the first man I knew left us when I was 8 and married another woman. Just like that! The last day I really saw him, I greeted him good morning and he smiled, touched my hair playfully and walked out of the house forever.

We all were waiting for him anxiously at 3am in the morning till someone came home to explain some ‘things’ to my mother. She sat on the floor, legs spread wide and didn’t get up for hours. If he disappeared and we never saw him, that would have been awesome. But, no! He moved two houses away and got married to my mother’s step sister! Till today, I don’t understand. I have tried to explain it, but mba nothing comes up.

I wasn’t old enough to truly understand but as soon as I was 10 I would go to his house each morning to greet him from the window. He never came out to greet me but he answered. I did that everyday till I was 17 and entered the University. So instead, I sent him money each week from my allowance. You might not understand it. But it made total sense to me.

Because of this -anyone who has done Psychology will relate, I sought validation from men. Older men were my favourite. I was tall, young, gorgeous and in one of the most popular universities in the state. Getting older men wasn’t hard at all, they came in the droves.

But you see these men were mostly married. We never spoke about their wives and I never asked. We had an unspoken understanding. All was great till Dehinde’s wife came to meet me in class! I was too shocked to speak. She was mad and she didn’t mind showing it. She rushed at me and I fled out through the back door.

I spoke to Dehinde and he promised to talk to his wife and we continued. One evening I was walking from school with one of the guys who was after me ( he was a great guy, but he was way too young). I jerked when I heard someone in the dark and the next thing I felt burning powder on my face.

I screamed from the pain and the dark didn’t help. I heard someone laugh and with all my shouts no one came for a long time. The guy beside me had run away.

Later, I found out what happened. Someone had poured acid all over my face and shoulders.

My face was messed up. It was disgusting. My mother never let me look at my face for a month. I wasn’t even going to ask her. I felt my face later and I didn’t need anyone to tell me. My face was gone. When I finally saw my face, I passed out. It was ugly.

My life changed from then on. But you see, I became a new woman. I don’t see my father anymore. I don’t look for him. I haven’t thought about him for the longest time till I began writing this. My fear of validation is gone. It got melted away. I took something horrible and made it into a business. How? I can cover up any scars, marks blemishes.

I specialize in makeup for people with extreme facial imperfections. And I love my job. When I’m not doing that, I troll the internet.

This wasn’t how I planned to face my stupid fears. But I took a grotesque shock and used it to help my fears. That’s my own UNCAGE story. Hehehee… I feel like a celeb …

I am Iremide and this is my #UNCAGE story
