The lovely lady identified simply as Lola revealed that she made N65,385, noting that she would have kept the Kolo until December but she had to break the piggy bank early to get herself a birthday gift.

1. Philanthropy
Through the Aliko Dangote Foundation (DF), he has helped to combat malnutrition and disease in children.
“I am going to try my best and give part of that money to charity. I am working hard on it… I think from this year, I personally want to take it (philanthropy) very seriously..,” Dangote said in 2014.
In 2018, his vision changed from taking humanitarian work serious to become the biggest philanthropist in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
“I do not only want to be known as Africa’s richest man but the biggest philanthropist. I will continue to use my resources and my voice to help shape a better Nigeria, and Africa as a whole,” the businessman said when he flagged off one-off and unconditional micro-grants programme in Niger State, last month.
At the event, the Aliko Dangote Foundation announced that it has disbursed a total of N2.5 billion to 256,500 women across Kano, Lagos, Jigawa, Kogi, Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states.
2. Investment
The businessman spends his money investing in Africa soil and around the world. He owns the largest refinery in Africa and the third largest in the world, producing 800,000 tonnes of sugar annually. Dangote Group owns salt factories and flour mills and is a major importer of rice, fish, pasta, cement, and fertiliser.
He also spends on investments in real estate, banking, transport, textiles, oil, and gas. His company employs more than 11,000 people and is the largest industrial conglomerate in West Africa.
Dangote has diversified into telecommunications and has started building 14,000 kilometres of fibre optic cables to supply the whole of Nigeria.
“Let me tell you this and I want to really emphasise it, nothing is going to help Nigeria like Nigerians bringing back their money. If you give me US$5 billion today, I will invest everything here in Nigeria. Let us put our heads together and work,” one of Dangote’s popular quotes read.
Dangote is also eyeing the English football team Arsenal.
3. Political lobbying
The only public political spending made by Kano State-born businessman, Alhaji Aliko Dangote was in 1999 during the PDP Presidential Fundraising Dinner held at the Nicon-Noga Hilton Hotel, Abuja, for the election of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
According to PM News, Dangote made the highest donation of N120 million while Alhaji Isyaku Rabiu, Bukola Saraki also contributed.
4. Continental investment
He has investments in Benin, Tanizania, Cameroon, Ghana, South Africa, Ethiopia and Zambia.
In 2017, he said he is investing $20bn and $50bn in the United States and Europe by 2025 in renewable energy and petrochemicals by partnering with companies in US, Europe and if possible Asia and Mexico.
5. Luxury items
Apart from businesses and investments across Africa, the richest man also use his money on some luxury items.
According to All Africa, Dangote acquired a private jet in 2010 which costs estimated to cost $45 million and has a $43-million yacht.

Hafsat, the daughter of the late Chief Moshood Abiola, on Tuesday shared that the late winner of the annulled June 12, 1993, presidential election was already rehearsing how to deliver his inauguration speech as the President before the election was annulled.
Hafsat shared this in her vote of thanks at a ceremony where her late father was formally honoured as Grand Commander of the Federal Republic.
In an emotion-laden voice, she said her late mother told her how Abiola was standing before a mirror to rehearse his inauguration speech.
“Because MKO Abiola was a stammerer, I was told he never went beyond ‘Fellow Nigerians’ in the speech,” she said.
Hafsat, while accepting Buhari’s apology on behalf of the family, also apologized to the President for anything Abiola could have done or said to hurt him.

At the age of 13, Doris was hit and knocked down by a commercial motorcyclist in Bayelsa State.
As a result of her severe injuries, she had her leg amputated.
The Theatre Arts graduate of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, also spoke about her journey in the movie industry, challenges and how a chance meeting with an actor and producer changed her career. Read below…
“I grew up in Bayelsa state and I wasn’t born with disability.
At age 13, I got knocked down by a motorcyclist while trying to cross the road. The accident led to the amputation of my right leg, and that moment changed the way I started seeing life. I didn’t take life seriously because I thought I was useless to my family and to the world, but my parents didn’t see me that way especially my mum. I never took my education seriously because I had no sense of belonging to the environment.
My mum was very supportive, she taught me how to fight for what I want and not to give up and that has helped me a lot in my career so the word ‘impossibility’ is not in my dictionary’.
I started accepting and appreciating God for my life when I found out about Nicholas James Vujicic, the motivational speaker without legs and arms. His videos were the inspiration that got me back on my foot, that was when I started fighting for what I wanted but the challenges were serious. I got an admission to study theatre arts at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, So many people discouraged me from studying the course, most of my course mates were like ‘what is she doing in this department’, wasn’t she aware of what this course is all about, can she dance or act with this her one leg?’ I usually felt bad but constantly encouraged myself because I knew want I wanted and I was ready to fight for it. I learnt how to dance on my own, in my room. Today I can act and dance with or without my support aid.
But the challenges continues.
I got into the movie industry 3 years ago through PRINCE OWELLE UGORJI who is an actor and also a movie producer. I met him on facebook and told him my passion for acting and dancing. He was touched by my story and promised to help me achieve my dreams. Few years later, he chatted me up and sent me a script. I was so happy that day, I went through the script and he gave me the lead role in the movie called Susanna. The movie Susanna brought us closer, he took me like a sister and promised to make my dreams come true. He didn’t ask for money or sex from me unlike one producer who only wants.
I’m not married yet. People always ask why I chose “Dorisstillsmiling” as my Instagram handle, I just can’t stop smiling and being happy, I love myself so much. Loosing one of my legs is destiny, the plan God has for me is bigger than my imagination, God has been using me to encourage so many people not to give up, no matter the condition, I might not be where I wish to be but I’m heading somewhere. The world is going to celebrate me someday, that I am sure of, as a society I don’t think we are doing enough to help people like myself. I hate that word ‘disabled’, we are not disabled we are just ‘differently abled.’ We have abilities and the society should see us this way not picturing us beggars.

North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un brought with him his own portable toilet to Singapore for the summit with U.S. president Donald Trump.
South Korean news agency The Chosunilbo reported that when Kim arrived in Singapore on an Air China Boeing 747, he was accompanied by an IL-76 transport plane carrying food, “his bullet-proof limousine and a portable toilet.”
Accordingly to Lee Yun-keol, who worked in a North Korean Guard Command unit before defecting to South Korea in 2005, “rather than using a public restroom, the leader of North Korea has a personal toilet that follows him around when he travels,” Lee Yun-keol told the Washington Post.
“The leader’s excretions contain information about his health status so they can’t be left behind,” Lee Yun-keol explained.
According to the South Korean news agency Daily NK, there is a customised bathroom built into Kim’s convoy of vehicles at all times.
“The restrooms are not only in Kim Jong Un’s personal train but whatever small or midsize cars he is traveling with and even in special vehicles that are designed for mountainous terrain or snow,” a source in South Pyongan Province familiar with Kim’s Escort Command told the DailyNK in 2015. “There are multiple vehicles within the convoy so that people cannot tell which one he is in, and there is a separate car that acts as his restroom.”

A Promising Nigerian makeup artist has sadly lost her life while returning from a bridal job which was reportedly worth eight thousand naira in Delta state.
The Lady, identified as Omotejohwho was described by her friend as a hard-working makeup Artist in Warii, Delta State.
Omotejohwho’s friend then revealed that the job was worth a meagre sum of 8,000 naira and complained that people won’t appreciate her services.

A couple got stuck while having sex in a hotel room on Friday, 8 June, 2018. The two locked themselves up in a room in Baraka Hotel and soon after they were heard shouting while begging for help. The shocking incident happened in Kitale area of Kenya.
According to reports, the man’s wife was in Kitale for business but hails from Lodwar.
The wife informed the police that she discovered her landlady went missing every time her husband went to Kitale for business appointments.
This uncanny coincidence became her caution light and she suspected there was a thing between the two. She confronted her husband and disclosed all the doubts she had.
The wife then opted to seek witch doctor services and the witch used a trap which later transpired in a turn of events.
The business man went to the hotel room not knowing his wife had a plot laid out for him. The management of the hotel contacted the police who hurriedly came to carry the ‘couple’ to the police station and the man’s wife then arrived moments later.

US President, Donald Trump is holding a history-making summit with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un in Singapore where he has said ‘it’s an honor’ that he expects will blossom into ‘a terrific relationship’ with the longtime U.S. antagonist.
He also told reporters after a working lunch that he had a ‘really fantastic meeting’ with Kim and that he believes was ‘really, very positive.
Trump said ;
I think, better than anybody could have expected, top of the line, really good. We’re going right now for a signing’.
Trump and Kim began the summit with a hearty handshake, exchanging pleasantries for the cameras and meeting one-on-one for 38 minutes with only translators present while the world watched with anticipation as the first-ever meeting between a U.S. president and a North Korean leader unfolded.
The U.S. president said they would be ‘signing’ an unspecified document at the conclusion of the summit..
President Buhari has described Nigerian youths as “intellectually aggressive and economically ambitious’’ people that always seeks self-improvement and self-actualization in any part of the world.
President Buhari said this on Monday, 11th June, 2018, during one of his meetings with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Morocco, Saadeddine Othmani, at the Royal Guest Palace in Rabat, Morocco.
According to President Buhari, Nigeria’s “visionary and resilient population’’ works hard to always position the country for more growth, fuelled by a largely youthful group that continually wants to contribute to development.
He said:
“Nigerians are intellectually aggressive and economically ambitious. I received some of our students here yesterday and I am really impressed with the zeal and fearlessness they exuded. In Nigeria we have a very young and aggressive population and we are working very hard to create the enabling and inclusive environment for their contributions to be better appreciated.’’
President Buhari said his government is harnessing the human and material resources available in the country, especially in the educational and agricultural sectors, while seeking partnerships with countries that can explore the huge potentials in Nigeria.
The President noted that Nigeria was already on the verge of an agricultural revolution as the importation of rice had been cut down by 90 per cent in 18 months.
“We need to do more to improve our statistics on food production and graciously, the weather has been auspicious in the last couple of years for agricultural growth. We are happy that through partnership with you and hard work the price of fertilizer is already down by 50 per cent,’’ he said.
On the three agreements signed during his visit, namely, Nigeria-Morocco Gas Pipeline project, vocational training in agriculture and building of a chemical plant in Nigeria, the President assured the Prime Minister that they will receive appropriate attention.
“We have a huge gas reserve in Nigeria, and we should be known more for gas exploration than for crude oil. So, we are happy with the new partnership with Morocco,’’he added.
In his remarks, the Prime Minister said his country had always been impressed by Nigeria’s intellectual zeal and strength, noting that “many Moroccans appreciate the intellectual contribution of Nigerians, especially in literary works.’’
“Your visit to our country is historic and we are looking forward to more partnerships, especially among our universities, which would further consolidate our relationship,’’Othman said.
President Buhari also met with the head of the Moroccan legislature, Habib El Malki and the President of the Advisers on Commerce, Ben Chemmas.
The Nigerian leader ended his two-day visit to the Kingdom of Morocco with a visit to the mausoleum where he laid wreaths on the tombs of past kings.

At the time, it was suspected that LT. Yusuf had stabbed Lorraine, a 300 level student of Rivers state university, because she refused to accept a breakup from him, and he was on the run after killing her. But investigation has uncovered the truth behind Lorraine’s death. Investigation also revealed that LT. Yusuf was not on the run, but had also been killed and burnt.
Operatives of the IGP-Intelligence Response Team arrested LT. Yusuf’s houseboy, Taddues Jaja, 28, following the death of Lorraine and the disappearance of Yusuf. During interrogation, Jaja confessed that he murdered Lorraine during an argument. Afterwards, in a bid to cover up his crime, he also murdered the unsuspecting officer by poisoning his drink with an overdose of a drug named “Talen”.
Jaja went on to send a text message with the late officer’s phone to a friend of Lorraine named Joy. In the message, Jaja wrote that the Navy Officer had murdered his girlfriend over a dispute. Jaja then proceeded to dispose of his boss’ body by driving it to a forest in Ubima where he burnt it.
After his confession, Jaja took operatives to the forest where he burnt LT Yusuf and the officer’s carcass was found burnt beyond recognition. With the aid of a pathologist, the remains were recovered and deposited at UPTH mortuary.
A car and a phone belonging to the naval officer were recovered. The car had already been sold by Jaja to a buyer in Benin city and the phone had already been sold to a different buyer in Port-Harcourt.
