Promising Nollywood Yoruba actress, Iwalola Adekugbe, who started acting in 2008 through the Ayobami Lukman (Ojokpagogo) group, has criticized actresses whose main aim in the industry is to go after rich men, using their career as a platform to do so.
The Beautiful Iwalola who has featured in both English and Yoruba movies says the main reason she has chosen acting is because of the love she has for the profession, adding that anyone who comes into the industry for any other reason will be highly disappointed.
She said ;
“I’ve loved acting from the womb. I find pleasure in it and I’m happy doing it. I didn’t come into the industry hungry for money or fame, because if you love something, it is the love that will drive you not the fame. If you don’t have passion for this job you will get easily discouraged. I’m not into acting to meet a sugar daddy. I’m in it for the job because I love it,” .
“It hasn’t been easy but it has been good. If you love what you do, you’ll keep on moving. I know the fame and money will definitely come. I’ve got what it takes to act. I’m a good actress. I can play any role as long as it’s convenient for me, but I can’t go nude .

A parent of one of the kidnapped Chibok schoolgirls was killed in a road accident on Sunday as they traveled in convoy to visit the students, it’s reported.
The group of parents were making their way from Chibok in Borno State to Yola, the capital of Adamawa State, where the majority of the Chibok schoolgirls who have been released by Boko Haram jihadists are studying at the American University of Nigeria.
“We left Chibok this morning in a convoy of seven buses for Yola to visit our daughters at the American University,” Yana Galang, from the Abducted Chibok girls Movement for Rescue, said.
Halfway between Chibok and Yola, the driver of one of the vehicles lost control after easing the brakes and hit a road maintenance truck, Galang said.
“One person died and 17 others were critically injured. Eight of them sustained fractures on hands and legs,” she added.
The kidnapping of 276 Chibok schoolgirls in April 2014 shocked the world and became a symbol of the abuses committed by Boko Haram.
Fifty-seven escaped in the immediate aftermath and returned to Chibok.
Over the following three years, 107 more were found, rescued or exchanged after negotiations between the government and their captors.
The majority of former captives are attending the American University of Nigeria in Yola, a prestigious private institution in northern Nigeria.
The families of a hundred hostages are still waiting for news.
Some fans of the show got the chance to watch the live screening of the BBNaija finale in Lagos Sunday night – former housemates, from season 2 and season 3, were also spotted at the live screening, which was hosted by Bisola.
Anto, Bally, BamBam, Bitto, DeeOne, Efe, Gifty, Kemen, Khloe, Lolu, Marvis, Miyonse, Princess, TBoss, Teddy A, were all spotted at the event.
The 21 weeks long reality TV show, Big Brother Naija: Double Wahala met its end earlier tonight as it announced handsome pilot and suave personality, Miracle as the winner.
In light of his win, there actually were some things he did right which worked for him and got him massive votes. Newsguru examines three peculiar things that fetched Miracle his win.
‘Fine boy’ factor
Researchers have found that physical attractiveness greatly influence investor backings, where good-looking men are more persuasive and 36% more likely to be successful than unattractive men. How does this relate to Miracle you may ask, Miracle is the dude most ardent female fans of BBNaija have a crush on. From our findings, most of his fans are mostly females who are more attracted to his charm than to his intelligence.
The Celebrity influence
Why are you bothered about Don Jazzy’s favourite BBNaija housemate?
Why are you bothered about Liz Anjorin’s favourite BBNaija housemate? This is as a result of the influence celebrities have on pop culture.
The likes of DJ Xclusive, Desmond Elliot, Don Jazzy, Inem Peter and others supported Miracle. This celeb endorsement and influence gave Miracle more edge and leverage compared to the other housemates. Even some of the evicted housemates like Ifu Ennada and Rico predicted that Miracle will emerge as the winner.
Miracle’s successive wins
Everyone loves to associate with a win. Amazingly, Miracle holds the record for most wins in the Payport arena games with three wins, therefore guaranteeing him another N1 million at the end of the current edition of the reality TV show.
He was also rewarded with N1 million and a year supply of Pepsi products, an all-expense paid trip to Dubai for winning the Pepsi ‘Refresh The Mix’ challenge.
Everyone loves a winner. People gravitate towards successful people. This must have contributed to Miracle’s victory.
After he was announced as the winner of the Big Brother Naija game earlier tonight, different celebrities have all taken to social media to celebrate him.
Miracle was announced winner of the Big Brother Naija: Double Wahala show earlier tonight winning the grand prize of N45million – in light of his win, celebrities have begun celebrating the pilot.
Funke Akindele better known as Jenifa is one of the many celebs who has reacted to Miracle’s big win of the BBNaija 2018.
In a post on Instagram, the actress wrote “May that Miracle visit all of us, amen” … unlike other celebrities, the actress has no favorites and campaigned for none of the housemates.
Atiku Abubakar, the Former Vice President of Nigeria has joined millions of Nigerians and fans of BBNaija worldwide to congratulate the Season 3 winner, Miracle Ikechukwu on his victory as the winner of the show.
According to Atiku, ‘congratulations to Miracle, winner of #BBNaija. Miracle is proof that Nigerian youths are hardworking, innovative and creative’.
He added that, ‘may this victory lead to the miraculous for Nigeria’s youth who have shown that they have what it takes to help take this great nation of ours to the next level. To Nigeria’s youth I say, continue to believe in yourselves’.

Following his eviction from the Big Brother house moments ago, Regina, with full names Regina Giwa the alleged girlfriend of Tobi took to social media to react to Tobi being the second runner up of the show.
Below is what she wrote:
Ebuka didn’t win In his time but look at him today. Tobi I am so heartbroken right now but it’s all good. You will always be the winner to me #BBNaija#teamtobi#bbnaijafinale
Ps: nobody should call my phone pic.twitter.com/xx09XcA2VH
Recall Femi Bakre, head of Krakstv and brother to Tobi Bakre, had earlier cleared the air, that he had no bad vibe whatsoever towards Cee-c.
In a series of tweets before yesterday’ss eviction, Femi wrote;
Table shaking time in a bit.
Please note that all views about #BBNaija are solely mine and in no way represent those of @KraksTV
It’s important to do this now and not after the finale because:
1. If Tobi wins, they’ll say I’m arrogant.
2. If any other HM wins, they’ll say I’m bitter.
And once again, pls note that regardless of who goes home with ₦45m 2day, Tobi is a winner.
He has given a good account of himself and the family/community that raised him. He has sold himself WELL, shown the world all he’s about, and I couldn’t be more proud of him.
However, the strategy of some other teams was to constantly bring down other housemates and make them look bad. They played dirty and brought up all sorts of propaganda throughout the show.
I really hope you are all proud of yourselves. #Shame
#TeamTobi’s strategy was to amplify every good he did and he sure made it very easy for us.
From HoH tasks to Challenges to Saturday Night Parties, Tobi totally bossed it.
You can’t deny that Tobi was the most entertaining housemate ?
Dear Lashes FC,
I never hated your King/Queen!!
Tobi kept losing fans because of her and I only aired my frustration through banter, not by attacking or insulting her.
It’s just sad y’all have no sense of humour ??
If at all I feel anything for your Queen, it has to be pity.
I could tell that her past experiences had shaped her life and all she needed was love and not hate.
Trust me, had Tobi and Cee-C clicked, they would have been the biggest ship to ever sail in #BBNaija history.
Y’all think your ships were cute? LOL
You have no idea how well Tobo G can spoil a woman.
Tobi has a heart of gold and your Queen would have shone like a diamond had she disregarded her “bad bitch” strategy and let love win.
For the umpteenth time, I never hated your Queen, I just didn’t like her making Tobi look bad!
Back in school, all I had to do was study hard, pray, and I would get straight As. I never depended on anyone for anything and this is the mentality I took into the real world.
It’s not a thing of pride but I just never liked bothering anyone.
However, my eyes recently opened to a different reality.
As an entrepreneur in Nigeria, I’ve realised that ur relationships are a major deciding factor of how successful you can be.
If you like be the smartest, most creative, you still need people to fuck with you to make money
The world makes it feel like you have to network, and be friends with everyone to be successful but what about people who are introverts or shy? Does it mean they won’t be successful too? ?
#TeamTobi thank you for your love and support throughout the show. Please don’t feel too bad, I want us to stand with our heads held high because we played a fair game and supported Tobi with all we’ve got. #BBNaija#BBNaijaFinale
To all #BBNaija fans out there, I hope you all enjoyed my modest contribution to this year’s show. If I ever made you laugh or upset that means I did a good job ? Give me some accolades please!! ?
The third season of Big Brother Naija wrapped up yesterday and Miracle walked away with over 45 million Naira worth of prizes. The winning moment was quite emotional.
Did you miss it? Watch it below!
It certainly was a really tough week in the Big Brother Naija game show as campaigns and solicitations filled Nigerian social media – with a lot of fans asking viewers to vote for their favourite housemate.
Eventually, we’ve seen the winner of the Big Brother Naija games and we know for next few days, Team Miracle will continue to rave about their win.
In light of this, here’s the final voting polls of the last week in the Big Brother Naija house…
Nina came least with votes as we saw be the first to leave the Big Brother house out of the remaining five housemates – she came in with a total percent of 4.18% while Alex followed her with 7.07%.
The top three of the game were Tobi, Cee-C and Miracle – with Tobi having the total of 22.53% votes and Cee-C following with 28.04% and Miracle emerging as the winner of the game show with 38.18%.
It’s been said and done and we can’t wait to see what these housemates have in store for us after their time in the Big Brother Naija house.

Earlier today, we reported that former housemate, Khloe, took to her Instagram page to root for her colleague, Cee-C in winning the Big Brother game…
Well, eventually, she who she rooted for didn’t come out as the winner of the show but at least, came in second – captured on camera was the moment Khloe reacted to Miracle being announced as the winner of the show.
She was all anxious when Ebuka went all silent – for effect – before announcing who the winner of the show was… and then he did announce the winner and Khloe was seen with a scornful look thereafter, meaning she obviously wasn’t pleased the pilot got to win.
Khloe was first disqualified from the Big Brother game then she was reinstated back into the house for a second chance but then, got evicted again last week alongside Anto and Lolu.
Watch her disdainful look after Miracle was announced winner earlier tonight below:
The University of Lagos’s students at Moremi Hall inside the school’s campus were all set for tonight’s Big Brother Naija grand finale.

The show earlier tonight saw pilot, Miracle emerge as the winner of the reality TV show which lasted for up to 22 weeks.
Hearty cheers and congratulatory messages have begun to fly around social media towards Miracle after he was crowned winner of the game show earlier tonight.
In a sequential order, here are the last five housemates of the Big Brother Naija game including the last man standing and their percentage of votes.
It’s beyond doubt that Nina of Big Brother Naija: Double Wahala had one helluva time during her time in the Big Brother house, most especially with her love interest, Miracle, who emerged winner of the game show earlier tonight.
During her eviction interview, Nina had said that her relationship with Miracle will definitely continue after the house – a stance which is in total contrast of what she said weeks ago.
Some two to three weeks back, Nina had said she and Miracle were just ‘friends’ in the house and she didn’t see what they had then continuing outside the house.
Well, it’s obvious the past few weeks changed her and she has a different story to tell now… Let wait and see what the future holds for her after the house.
A Nigerian lady has shared on social media, the quite hilarious message she got from a guy who was trying to woo her on Whatsapp – the message she received from the guy certainly has to be the most hilarious thing you’ve seen all day!
The lady identified simply as Eno, shared a chat she had with a guy who had only started showing interest in her romantically, just three days ago.
For reasons best known to the wooer, he expects Eno to ‘Be humble since her father would soon exchange her for consumables soon’.
The message which can be somewhat tagged as disrespectful has sparked up a series of controversies on social media – with some finding it hilarious and others disrespectful… See below and tell us what you think…

There you have it folks! After all said and done, the ups and downs, the laughter and the cries, the romance and friendships made, we’ve finally had the winner of the Big Brother Naija game!
Miracle Ikechukwu has been announced as the winner of the Big Brother Naija game after weeks of eluding evictions and being the fans favourite.
Miracle was affiliated with all sorta drama and romance in the house and it’s obvious that that’s part of what made him the right man for the win.
A really comical guy who brought the heat with his charming and calm attitude while in the Big Brother house – Miracle obviously won the hearts of many as they’ve put him up as the winner of the show…
Hearty congratulations to Miracle and we most definitely can’t wait to follow him up on what his next real life actions will be…
Following his eviction from the Big Brother house moments ago, Nigerians have stormed social media to react to the eviction of the former banker from the show.
Tobi was announced moments ago as the recent housemate to leave the Big Brother house and some Nigerians have had things to say too!!
Tobi’s leave from the house leaves housemates, Miracle and Cee-C contending for the grand prize of N45m and we certainly can’t wait to see who it’ll be…

See how some Nigerians are reacting to Tobi’s eviction below:
@tobiaj60: “Please give me one reason why buhari won’t run for second term even when #BBNaija just showed the world how the level of scam Nigeria is!! I’m really pained right now. Tobi had more votes than cee-c. This is the work of biggie. I’m really pained. Accept Jesus biggie #BBNaija”

With weeks of eluding evictions from the Big Brother Naija house, Tobi has finally been evicted from the Big Brother Naija house.
In a rather shocking twist of events, the former Banker’s time has finally met its end in the Big Brother Naija game.
Tobi becomes the 2nd runner up of the Big Brother Naija: Double Wahala reality show leaving just Cee-C and Miracle contending for the win of the Big Brother Naija game.
A really down to earth guy who made sure to bring life to every weekend party in the house, Tobi won the hearts of many but unfortunately wasn’t put up as the winner of the show…
Hearty congratulations to Tobi and we most definitely can’t wait to follow him up on what his next real life actions will be…
Following Nina’s eviction from the Big Brother Naija game moments ago, housemate, Alex has followed her, becoming the 3rd runner up of the game show.
Alex is one of the five housemates who eluded evictions over the past few weeks in the Big Brother Naija house and made her way to the finals but unfortunately didn’t emerge the winner of the reality TV show.
Following her leave from the Big Brother house, we left with only three housemates vying for the Big Brother Naija win – Cee-C, Miracle and Tobi have had our fingers crossed on who out of the three of them will become winner of the game.
The Big Brother Naija grand finale airs the end of its third season tonight and while the live show’s host, Ebuka is anchoring the show from SA, BBN alumnus, Bisola is holding it down here in Lagos.
With past housemates all gathered at the viewing centre in Lagos and Bisola hosting the show here, our correspondent brings live photos from the event.
Since the start of the show, it’s been announced that the winner of the show will be walking home with a whooping N45m and now it’s been broken down how the money will go about…
In cash, the winner will be having N25m, a N12m SUV, home appliances worth 3.3 million and an all expense paid trip for two worth, 4.7 million.
With these, we know for sure that the winner will be having one helluva time after the Big Brother show…
Meanwhile… here are photos from the live show in Lagos…
Team Nina has been eased of the tension that befell them over the past weeks after they campaigned for her to win the Big Brother Naija game as she’s been announced as the latest evicted BBNaija housemate.
While Ebuka chilled with them a little in the house, he, moments ago announced Nina as the latest evicted housemate of the Big Brother game.
This leaves just two ladies and two gentlemen vying for the grand prize of the Big Brother Naija game – Alex, Cee-C, Miracle and Tobi have the potential of winning the Big Brother Naija game moments from now…
We can’t wait to see who’d emerge as the winner… who do you think it’ll be?
In one final celebrity visit to housemates of the reality TV show, Nigerian Afro-pop singer, Davido and the rest of his crew members have visited the Big Brother Naija house.
Davido and his DMW crew members are currently in the house, having a memorable time with the housemates just moments before their fates will be decided is any one of them will be announced as the winner of the game show.
Davido and his crew members made themselves comfortable and familiarized themselves with the house as they toured parts of the Big Brother House while gisting with the housemates.
While in the house, the singer made sure to acknowledge his girlfriend or should we say, “wife”, Chioma, as he could be heard shouting “Chioma, I love you” – another public display of his affection for his bae.
It’s only five housemates left in the Big Brother Naija: Doble Wahala show and we’re only moments from discovering who’d emerge as the winner.
It’s no doubt that the fans of different housemates will be tensed at this moment as they cry to their maker to let their favourite housemate win.
The time is finally here, who’d win the Double Wahala game?!
Today brings to an end the 2018 edition of the reality television show, Big Brother Naija tagged ‘Double Wahala.’
In the course of the show, which has lasted for 90 days, viewers were exposed to different dramas.
The overall winner of the show would go home with the N45 million grand prize today, Sunday, March 22, 2018.
The finalists include, Alex, Nina and Cee-c.
Others are Tobi and Miracle.
We bring to you five key talking points of the show.
1. Reentrance of Anto and Khloe:
This was the first time in the history of the Big Brother Naija reality show that already evicted or disqualified housemate reentered the game.
They were not readmitted to play as fake housemates; but according to Ebuka, they were there like other housemates to chase the grand prize.
2. Eviction of Bambam: The eviction of female housemate, Bambam, was arguably, one of the shocking moments of the show. Bambam was the only housemate evicted in a form of disqualification.
Big Brother sent Bambam packing immediately after the Saturday night party. Her lover, Teddy A, followed her the next day.
3. The pairing game: This year, Big Brother made sure that the 20 housemates became very close to each other. While some left the show as lovers, Nina and Miracle have continued their love in the house.
Anto and Lolu, Bambam and Teddy A were other housemates that left the show still glued to each other. Along the line, some of the housemates even confessed to have shifted focus from the cash to love.
4. Teddy A and Bambam- sex in the toilet: This will remain a major topic even when the show finally comes to an end today. Viewers of next year’s edition will surely look out for characters such as Teddy A and Bambam. Although the pictures were not crystal clear, but the two housemates in question neither denied or gave in.
5. Cee-c and her bitterness:
How long does her smile last? This is one of the questions that crop up each time her name is mentioned.
Big Brother Naija 2018 housemate, Cee-c will remain a big talking point till the next edition.
She was a hard nut to crack to other housemates. This housemate fought with virtually all the co-contestants.
Following her eviction from the Big Brother house, drama queen Khloe, has written a heartfelt letter to housemate, Cee-C as she says though she judged her before, she won’t judge her anymore.
This comes just few days after it was reported that the controversial housemate had a quite rough family background and so it may have been the reason for her behaviour in the house.
Khloe, who just might have seen the news, moments ago, took to her page to write a heartfelt letter to her stating that she’s a strong woman and anyone who thinks they’re without sin, be the first to cast a stone…
Khloe wrote,
I always say dis to you girl. You only know yourself,
No1 does .. mirror mirror on the wall spot my flaws and I ll embrace them, not to continue but to be a better person. Told you wen in doubt, talk to your self via mirror( I do dis always) and you listen.
No such thing as a life that’s better than yours. I dint know your heart was that pure and fragile. I have judged you but not anymore. A lot been asking why trolls don’t get to me it’s because i already insult myself befor u do so it’s irrelevant to listen to others wen I know myself, that’s what you doing too B .you are strong , wise and intelligent .
