Alex more popular

She also used the medium to talk about love and asked people to learn to love and accept other people the way they are.

The actress wrote on her page,

Tag her if you know her. The more you criticize her the more popular you make her. Ask the disciples, the more the jews criticized them the more people followed them. Learn how to love people the way they are. She is a queen! Watch the space … Team #genevievennaji

The Tolex pair had been seen at different events lately with matching outfits since they got out of the reality show.

It looks like the wild rumors that Kylie Jenner’s bodyguard Tim Chung is Stormi Webster’s real dad are starting to weigh on Travis Scott and his family. Even his mom is beginning to get suspicious, and a source tells In Touch exclusively that she wants proof via a paternity test that Stormi is her granddaughter.

“Travis’ mother is taking a page out of Kris Jenner’s handbook: she’s telling him to get a paternity test,” an insider revealed. “She thinks it’s important for Travis to shut up all his haters who think [Kylie’s] bodyguard is the father.

Throwback photo of Davido’s late Mum & Senator Adeleke at Dele Momodu’s Son’s 1st Birthday

Davido late mum

Dele Momodu has just shared the below throwback photo of Davido’s mum and his Uncle, B-red’s father, Sen, Ademola Adeleke at his son’s, ENIAFE’s birthday celebration.

He shared the below photo and tweeted;

“FANTASTIC THROWBACK: DAVIDO’S LATE MUM MRS VERONICA IMADE ADELEKE & HIS UNCLE SENATOR NURUDEEN ADEMOLA ADEKEKE AT MY SON ENIAFE’S 1ST BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION IN LAGOS… BIGGEST CONGRATS TO DAVID ADELEKE & HIS ENTIRE FAMILY FOR WINNING BIG AT THE HEADIES LAST NIGHT…”

Meanwhile, Senator Ademola Adeleke, who represents Osun West in the National Assembly in Osun State has said that dancing does not affect his thinking.

Ademola, who has declared interest to run for the governorship position of the State, said this in an interview with Punch.

The lawmaker who replaced his late elder brother, Isiaka Adeleke in the senate, said he is a deep thinker.

He also said he trained his nephew, David Adeleke, a.k.a Davido to become a music star.

Asked why he dances in almost every occasion, Adeleke said, “Don’t you also dance in church and when you have joyous occasions?

“Well, I dance because I am happy and grateful to God. I am not a pretentious person but the dancing aspect is just a minor aspect of me. I am a deep thinker and solution- finder.

“For example, in one of my recent visits to one of the local governments in my senatorial district, I came in contact with a group of retirees who said they had always wanted to meet with me because I always exude joy and confidence.

“These were senior citizens who needed encouragement in their difficult situation occasioned by the failure of the APC government in Osun State.

“Of course, I spent quality time with them and shared some of the resources God has given to me to make them even happier. That to me is the essence of life

On training Davido he added, “Yes, I did train him a few skills which by the Grace of God are helping him today in his career. Our family is very proud of him.”

“Singer, Aramide probably f**ked to get her Headies award” – Instagram comedian, Ebiye

Instagram comedian Ebiye

The Headies (previously known as Hip Hop World Awards), since 2006 has been recognizing and celebrating outstanding achievement in Nigeria’s music industry.

The 12th edition of the award show was held yesterday with singer, Wizkid, vocal powerhouse, Simi and DMW boss Davido were the biggest winners of the night.

One of the winners of the show was songstress, Aramide, who won the Best Alternative Song: Fun mi lo wo mi featuring Sound Sultan & Koker.

While giving her speech as she received her award, she overwhelmed with joy that she couldn’t believe that she won the accolade.

Instagram comedian, Ebiye in light of her surprise stated that she probably could have f**cked for her to win the award.

He wrote on his page, “She can’t even believe it, lol she prolly fucked for the award, #Headies

His statement, didn’t go down well with a certain social media critic, who of course wasted no time in giving it back to the comedian as well.

Read the post as published on Thenet.ng

In 2012, Aramide was a member of ELDee’s Trybe 2.0 experiment. I was working with Bubbles Magazine at the time and we profiled all the artistes on the label. The night before the shoot we sat ELDee’s living room and he played several unreleased songs from his artistes. Although Aramide was relatively less important to the label compared to SoJay, K9 and Eva; it was clear that her gift surpassed all of the others by far.

The next day, she arrived before the others for the photoshoot. We spoke about her journey and how her NYSC primary assignment was at a radio station practically next door to my house in Ibadan at the time. And boy, the girl could sing!

Since then she has changed labels. She moved to Baseline Records where again, it seemed like the execs had a marquee player they would rather spend all the money and attention on. Since 2014 however, she has proved that she’s no push over. Her voice is unmistakable and her dexterity on the guitar is unignorable.

Her career goes as far back as 2006 when she was on a popular talent hunt. She has an album to her credit as well as a number of worthy tunes.

She won her first Headies in 2015 when a certain Instagram buffoon by the name of Ebiye was just finding out how Instagram works. Some people find his one minute skits funny: but I know that once you put these IG comedians on stage, it becomes rocket science. Their art is buffoonery, not comedy.

Last night, Aramide won the Headies award for Best Alternative Song. Somehow Ebiye imagined that his opinions counted, and he dismissed Aramide saying she must have slept with someone to have won.

Like they say, he doesn’t have the range. At best, he’s a slapstick comedian. But his slight shows clearly what women have to deal with. Each success is chalked off to some sort of sexual gratification.

When women cry out about the sexualization the suffer by just being themselves, this is what they mean. Despite the fact that Aramide is happily married, this caricature of a being could not help himself by reducing her worth. Now imagine how more powerful and successful men see women. One wonders who Ebiye slept with for his one hundred and sixty thousand followers.

#MenAreScum

We must do better. Ebiye is just one person, but he’s a reflection of a very sick industry- and society. Emerging female entertainers deal with sexualization and objectification on a daily basis so it is incredulous to them when a woman actually succeeds.

Nincompoops like him cannot believe that she did it by herself and resort to the tired line- ‘she fucked someone to get here’. Ebiye has ‘apologized’ for his ‘distasteful joke’.

But would he have had the cojones to make such a joke if he was standing on stage and being televised live? Would he have made that type of joke if Aramide were standing right next to him? Obviously not. That’s why he became a slimy troll who hid behind a smartphone to insult her on Snapchat.

I only snub people I don’t know – Chioma Akpotha reveals

Chioma Akpotha reveals

Chioma Akpotha has revealed that she is aware people see her as a snub and how attending a girls’ only secondary school affected her relationship with men.

Speaking with Sunday Scoop, the actress admitted that a lot of people think she had an attitude problem.

She said, “I am aware that people think I am a snob, but I am actually a shy person. My job demands that I should abandon who I am. It used to be even worse for me because I went to a single-sex school; so, relating to guys was difficult for me. However, I am adjusting now because of acting.”

According to Akpotha, she tries as much as possible to protect herself and that gives people the impression that she is a snob. “When you meet me newly, the first impression you get is that I am cold. But I am only trying to protect myself from people I don’t know.

“If I am in a room and I know everyone there, I will be very comfortable and playful. But if I don’t know anyone, I will be cold. I am not trying to blow my trumpet; I am just saying that I need to know you to be comfortable with you,” she said.

Despite starting acting at the age of 17, she claimed that she did not indulge in drinking or smoking like some of her peers.

She stated, “The way my mother raised us, especially as her first daughter, there was no way I would have lived a wayward life. My late mother would have been a solider if she didn’t have a job. In Igboland, they pay so much attention to the first daughter because she must be an example to the younger ones.

Also, I am allergic to smoke and many other things. I act stupidly whenever I am high, which is not good for someone like me in public because I like to conduct myself well. I had friends who questioned why I did not smoke or drink but if you know who you are, you wouldn’t succumb to peer pressure. However, I am not saying the fact that I don’t smoke or drink makes me an extraordinary being.”

Headies awards 2018: Niniola gives reason for poor performance

Niniola gives reason

Niniola has given reasons for her poor performance at the Headies award ceremony last night while apologizing to her fans.

Niniola revealed why her performance was below standard.

She said that she had not practiced with the band as she had just returned from a trip to Owerri.

Niniola in a series of tweets on her Twitter page wrote: “I honestly was not going to address this issue but I was very firmly convinced within me that I owed each and every one of you a detailed explanation on why I had a performance that was far below the usual expectation of my performances.

“I had flown in from Owerri after a performance yesterday (the evening of the Headies), to grace the Award event that has served as a platform for us as entertainers and I unfortunately could not rehearse with the Band or even work on any performance set for the Show.

“I am thankful to everyone that messaged and called to enquire about my performance at the Headies Awards. It shows a clear understanding of the typical nature of my stagecraft.

“I promptly informed the organizers that I would not be performing as I am very particular about my Brand and the performance delivery I give to my friends and supporters that have helped my career to the point that it is today.”

Niniola performed on stage at the 12th edition of Headies alongside Davido, Tiwa Savage, Danfo Drivers, Johnny Drile and others.

7 Notable Moments at #Headies2018

7 notable moments

The 12th Headies 2018 Awards held last night at The Eko Convention Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Click here for photos of celebrities at the event and here for the list of winners.

That being said, we’ve put together 7 notable moments from the show.

Find below:

Monkey Man

Who pulls off a Monkey costume? Well, some people say it’s Sound Sultan. Others say “no, it’s the infamous monkey responsible for the disappearance of 70 million from a senator’s farm.” We are not saying it’s both.

The monkey looked so peng, when you’re not looking at the face, that is.

Danfo Drivers (Mad Melon and Mountain Black) Performance

Iye meeeee….. Iye meeeee…. Iye meeee (Someone should complete this thing lol). The energy in the room leapfrogged to a hundred when they got on stage. We understand. The song – Kpolongo – brought back memories.

When (Part Of) The 30 Billion Gang Came to Receive Mayorkun’s “Next Rated” Award

They are not called a gang for nothing! They must represent; and they did when Mayorkun was announced as the winner of the coveted “Next Rated” award at the show. They literally “scattered everywhere”.

Kaffy Receiving the Special Recognition Award

Virtually no show goes by without Kaffy and her team performing – either alongside singers, or solely, giving more life to the art. She was recognised at the show for her work, and we must say, she deserves this accolade.

#BBNaija’s ToLex

Yes. Big Brother Naija Wahala is not over. Apart from Tobi being one of the presenters for the “Rookie of the Year” category, we also love how sweet him and one time “strategic partner” in the house Alex looked at the show. Whether there is chemistry or biology here, we know something scientific is going on!

Simi Hails Her “Man”

Vocal powerhouse Simi who carted home 3 awards at the show – Best RnB Single for Smile for Me, the Best Recording of the Year for Joromi, and her album Simisola won the Album of the Year – in her appreciation speech for the latter, gave a shout out to her “man” who she says has been supporting her.

And you guessed right; she didn’t mention a name. But no one mentioned Adekunle Gold sha.

Davido tells Artistes to Help As Many People as they Can

Davido, who also won three awards – IF won the Best Pop Single and Song of the Yearcategories, and was also named the Artiste of the Year – called on artistes to always lend a helping hand to people, noting that the over 2 dozen persons on stage with him have received one form of help or the other from him and he can’t wake up each day to see people in need without doing something. He says that’s why he’s blessed.

He thereafter challenged artistes to help others. He also dedicated the award to his family, his father, his daughters and of course, Chioma!

The superstar later revealed that his next album is coming up in September.

Tiwa Savage at The Headies: The night ‘Mummy Jam Jam’ became part of Nigeria’s Codeine crisis

Tiwa Savage headies

Tiwa Savage wasn’t in her best element at Saturday’s Headies Awards.

There as no wardrobe malfunction, neither did she fall off the stage, her much-anticipated performance however was disappointing.

Tiwa Savage shocked fans in the audience and online when she performed Codeine Diet, the street hit that she and Reminisce were featured on by DJ Enimoney.

We then wonder, did she really have to perform that song?

Tiwa Savage has been near perfect as a member of the MAVINS.

She remains the most successful female musician in the country. Her decision to hop on the ‘shaku shaku’wave is further proof that she can experiment with unusual sounds and get away with it.

Meanwhile there’s a widespread epidemic of Codeine abuse in Nigeria right now.

It is a common sight to see users drink copious amounts of codeine to get high.

It has become a crisis of sorts, with the Senate revealing that over three million bottles of the syrup in northern Nigeria alone!

As art often imitates life, it wasn’t surprising that Nigerian musicians hopped on the trend to make music.

There has been no end to the codeine references in songs, from Small Doctor’s Penalty to Olamide‘s Science Student and the aforementioned Codeine Diet.

Now one does not expect these men and women to be choir boys, certainly, they’re allowed a vice or two. One is not also not naive to imagine that some of them are not addicted to a few substances.

This writer in particular, has said on several occasions that Nigerians need to hold their public officials to the high standard they do entertainers.

At a point in anyone’s career, they attain a level where they cease to be inconsequential.

Tiwa knows that and that why on the Codeine Diet song, she attempted to self-censor by saying ‘protein’ instead of the problematic word.

However during the performance in question, she not only sang the chorus along with the obviously inebriated Reminisce, she pranced around the stage in excitement.

There’s also the issue of if the song should even be on the playlist at all, seeing that is has such unapologetic drug use references, but that’s a different conversation in itself.

Whilst one does not excuse Reminisce, the rapper has always made no bones about his affinity for the ‘streets’.

His own were-were is part of the persona. To expect him to behave differently is an exercise in futility: Alaga Ibile will always come across as an ‘area boy’.

His latest song is titled ‘Ajigijaga’, after the Yoruba movie character who was a thief. Go figure.

On the other hand, Tiwa is the one who has positioned herself to be ‘Mummy Jam Jam’.

Her son is an essential part of her brand. Her identity is carefully curated to portray her as a loving mother who just happens to be an entertainer.

Jam Jam features well on her social media page. At the very least, it doesn’t sit well that she doesn’t have a problem with the coedine theme.

Like political commentators on Twitter say, the optics are bad.

Worse still, the recklessness of her performance went beyond mere perception and the irony of making light of substance abuse must have been lost on her.

In 2016 when her marital crises first became public courtesy of an early morning Instagram meltdown and a near suicide by her husband, Tiwa Savage’s well-orchestrated narrative was ‘TJ was on drugs and had addiction issues’.

She kept emphasizing that she loved him still and would want him to seek help for the resultant mental illness. ‘Even if it was weed, I can still manage. But cocaine?! Ah….’, she famously said in the interview.

So what has changed now, that Ms Savage thinks codeine abuse is something flippant?

Her repertoire is so rich that she could have chosen any song at random and it would still be a hit. But she chose this problematic track.

All around the world, entertainers are using their platforms for greater good. Kim Kardashian, for example, is working with her country’s government to free a woman who has been wrongfully imprisoned for twenty-one years and counting.

In his own unique way, even Davido enjoined his entertainers to help other people with their platforms as he picked up his award as Artiste of The Year.

At 37 years old and as accomplished as she is, Mummy Jam Jam should not be random.

She is too successful not to be a role model. Young people who are dealing with addiction should not turn the tv on and see a powerful woman like her wax lyrical about codeine.

There’s a serious dearth of role models in this country. By her thoughtless choice to perform Codeine Diet on the biggest entertainment event of the year, she made herself part of the problem.

There’s ‘tone-deaf’ and there’s ‘irresponsible’.

Tiwa Savage was the latter on that night.

Why I am more obsessed with my female children — Mercy Johnson reveals

Mercy Johnson reveals

Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson Okogie, who is also the Senior Special Assistant on Entertainment, Arts and Culture to Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has paid her full dues in the industry and indeed deserves some Accolades!

In this very interesting interview with Kemi Filani Blog, the mother of three sheds more light on her latest epic movie production, The Lamb, the secret of her happy marriage, more kids, fear of politics and lots more.

Enjoy below:

Was there challenges you encountered while producing this your latest epic movie, The Lamb?

O yes! There are always lots of challenges when you are filming. For a good start, I love to appreciate those that needs to be appreciated, from the Chief of Staff, to his Excellency, to the sons and daughters of Kogi State, we got a whole lot of assistant during the filming. We appreciate them all.

Their support and contributions, kind of made it so easy for me during the production, because we all want the outside world to come and see what we celebrate as a set of people.

We were so excited to have top Nollywood actors come into the State to celebrate our culture with us through the production of a good movie for the big screen.

We had some tiny issues here and there during production, but we scaled through. Now we are here to celebrate the success.

How long did it take to shoot the movie?

From conception to breathing, the movie took over a year.

Did you at a point get tired of the project, as it was taking too long?

No. I think I had so much faith on the project. I had responsibilities on my shoulders and I decided to see it till finish.
It was a bit challenging but we fought it through.

Is this the first movie you’re producing?

No, it is my second actually.

There are lots of tribes in Kogi State, why did you single out the Igala people to do a movie about them?

For me, it was more of showing to them that the Special Assistant to the Governor in Entertainment, Arts and Culture is not cut out for tribalism. It is not about the name Honorable but for us to bring up the entertainment sector in the state to an enviable stage that people would want to come and learn from us.

So, if we had done an Ibira story, they would say ‘Oh, yes, no wonder. That’s where she is from’.

On that note, I said let’s do something from the Igala tribe. I told them to give me what they have and they were all pointing at different stories, then we picked one and made it a good film.

How then do you cope with your home front and duty roles as the SA to the Governor?

Well, it has not been easy but I’m a home girl. There are priorities. God comes first, then family and other things follows.
Definitely the family has to be settled before we talk about work.

When I am not happy at home, then I can’t function properly in whatsoever capacity. God, family then others, it works well for me that way.
As we are here right now, if I get a call from my children’s school about anything, I’ll push your phone away and run off (laughs).

Seeing some of your Social Media posts, one is forced to believe that you have more favouritism for your female children than your boy, could this be true?

Yes, people tell me that a lot. But I think my son is more inclined to his dad. The guys roll, then the ladies roll (Laughs).
The girls roll like me, you know snake can’t birth fish, but my husband is a very quiet person and my son is just like him. When its time to make noise, my team roll along.

Away from family issues, what’s your say on Dino Melaye’s predicament?

I don’t want to talk about that please!

Now that your are working tirelessly for the Kogi State government, after the appointment, would there be a time you will plunge into full politics?

No no no! Not at all.

What if your people beg you to join politics for their sake?

I’ll equally beg them not to beg me. I just don’t want to do politics at all.

Why?

I can equally effect change in my community without holding any political post office. My husband is already a politician, but I’m not.

I think its enough on my shoulders that I’m responsible for some actions in the State, also an influence to people as a film person.

Everything you do is under scrutiny; that public eye is enough for me. I wouldn’t want to top it with political responsibilities. I can represent my community in a good light, help people, touch lives, do the best I can, and remain a good woman, but not with a political tag.

Are you scared of politics?

Well, I’m not scared. I’m just been careful.

For a while now, you have been under heavy public scrutiny, how have you been coping?
It has been God. No one can undermine the media, you guys are powerful. There is no saying that I want to dodge the media, because I’m always as real as it comes. So, I’ll say its just God.

On Instagram, you always show off your husband; the happy couple, so there is a believe that you’re out to mock those who are not as lucky as you are in marriage, what is your take on that?

My dear, I’m not in competition with anybody. I always do me. Because I’m just myself. You can never tell what tomorrow will beget. I’m always me, even on Social Media.

Your kids will always want mummy around, how do you cope leaving them for days?

It has not been easy, but we are in the jet age. I’m a working mother. I have to work. However, like I said earlier, its all about scale of preference. I give everyone and everything it’s own time.

When should we expect another baby from you?

Sure. Very soon.

Are you not scared of the labor room?

I’m obsessed with children. While growing up, I always had it in mind that I’ll have four children. So, we still need one more to complete it (laughs). So, we can always play football correctly, 3 boys, 3 girls.

What gave you that bold scar on your neck?

I don’t want to talk about it. It’s personal.

I have moved on — Collins, Nina’s ex-boyfriend

Collins says

Big Brother Naija (Double Wahala edition) may have ended but its reverberations are still being felt. The results of the actions of some contestants in the house still manifest after the show.

One of the housemates, Nina, is believed to have had sex in the house with another contestant, Miracle.

After she left the house, Nina also confirmed that she had sex with Miracle on several occasions. She also stated that she wasn’t sure about continuing her relationship.

She had said during an interview, “We had sex several times, yes. But it was just us being human. Me and Miracle have feelings for each other. We cannot hide; we don’t pretend. That was just living our lives in the Big Brother House.”

In another interview, when she was asked if she had been to see her boyfriend whom she was dating before she went into the house, she said, “I don’t think I want to do that. I don’t want any negative vibes around me right me.”

However, in a chat with Sunday Scoop, Collins maintained that he had moved on. He said, “I really don’t want to comment on this issue. I have moved on with my life and that’s all that matters.”

When pressed for further comments, he stressed, “I don’t want it to seem like I’m seeking for cheap publicity and I don’t want the issue to drag unnecessarily. That’s why I haven’t said anything.”

Meanwhile, Miracle has said he is more concerned with making money than exploring a relationship with Nina.

He had explained during an interview, “My relationship with Nina does not change outside the house; we are still good friends. I plan to make good use of the friendship with Nina; at least, it will reduce the proximity of female fans and all. With her, it is easier to set the barrier.”

“Yes, we are still good friends. We can be (together in future). I have feelings for her but there is time for everything.

“We are both young now and marriage is not the next thing. The goal is to make money o (laughs). 4

“You never can tell what happens though and I hope you know that Nina and I are both from Imo State. So, anything can happen.”

Blac Chyna’s split from Rob Kardashian is reportedly costing her money.

Club promoters are less keen to hire the reality TV star, who was previously earning up to $30,000 for nightclub appearances, because they believe she is less popular without former fiance Rob Kardashian.

According to TMZ Chyna is now only getting up to $7,000 per appearance, with some promoters saying that ‘Chyna without Rob is like Sonny without Cher’

And one Miami promoter insisted he would not pay more than $2,000 to hire Chyna.

Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that Chyna, 29, wants the money Kylie Jenner was paid for Life Of Kylie as she filed a lawsuit against the reality star.

Chyna has however moved on with life after Rob Kardashian as she is currently in a hot romantic relation with teen rapper YBN Almighty Jay.

“My second term ambition is not for personal gain” – President Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed that his second term ambition is not for any personal gain.

President Buhari who declared his intention to seek a second term last month, stated this when he spoke at the APC ward congress which held at Bayagida Model Primary School in Katsina today May 5th.

President Buhari said the passion to serve and see real changes in the lives of Nigerians informed his choice to join partisan politics in the first place, and inspired him to contest elections in 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015.

He said;

“I am not in politics for fun, frivolity or to amass wealth, I have always been driven by a deep sense of commitment to make a difference to the lives of our people.

After my retirement from the army, or forceful retirement, I sat back and watched as events unfolded on the political turf, and realised the country needed an intervention for fairness, justice and inclusion of Nigerians in the issues that affect their lives.

After going to the court so many times to challenge results of elections in 2003, 2007 and 2011, and going up to the Supreme Court, I concluded that ultimately it is God who determines who will win elections, and in 2015 I got here,’’

2019: “I am not sure there will be an election, even Nigeria may not live” — Pastor Adeboye

2019 election

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has said that if the killings in the country is not stopped immediately, Nigerian may cease to exist again.

Adeboye made this statement while speaking at the monthly Holy Ghost service of the church which held at the RCCG camp ground last night May 4th.

The clergyman also warned that “unless the killings stopped, there may not be elections in 2019 in Nigeria.”

He said the recent killing of two Catholic priests and 17 parishioners in a Catholic chirch in Benue state last month, should be a wakeup call to the Federal government. Accoridng to him, when he heard the news of the attack, he was unusually quiet.

“I said there is no father who would lose 19 children in a day that will not be quiet. She said what do you mean, because she hadn’t heard the news that in a church, somebody went in and shot 19 people. It doesn’t matter the denomination…by the special grace of God, all Christians in Nigeria call me daddy. So when any of them dies, it’s my son or daughter that is dead. I am going to ask you to join me in prayer, because unless these killings stop, and stop immediately, even Nigeria may not live. I am not talking about individuals now, I am talking about Nigeria itself…a bishop asked me not too long ago, ‘Daddy, has God told you who win the next election?’ “I said, Sir, I am not even sure yet there will be an election. Because unless these killings stop there may be no elections next year. ‘Are you prophesying , Daddy?’ No, no! I am not prophesying. I am just reasoning. Because nobody will want to go out to vote if they are not sure they will be able to return home safely,” he explained.

The clergyman went further to say that no nation can survive a religious war.

“It’s a terrible thing. A nation may survive a civil war, but no nation can survive a religious war a remain the same. That Nigeria may live these killings must stop. So all of you who love Nigeria, I want to rise on your feet, and cry to God with all your heart, and say: Father, let the killings stop that Nigeria may live, please God let the killings stop.” he said

Pretty Nigerian Lady who ventured into Agriculture shares her story

Pretty Nigerian lady

A hardworking and pretty Nigerian lady, Ogochukwu Maduako who ventured into Agriculture – has revealed how interesting it has been for her.

The graduate of Abia State University and egg recycler shared her story online through FarmerBoy.

Read below;

Hello My Name is Ogochukwu Maduako, I am a Farmer and a recycler. I recycle eggshells which is (poultry by product) into Bio material called CALCIUM.

I am a graduate of Abia State University Uturu, where I obtained Bachelor of Science (B.SC) in Agricultural Economics & Extension and currently am closing out on my Masters in International Economics & Finance at the department of Agriculture in Rivers State University.

Eggshells are gotten from the consumption of poultry by-product called EGG.

Eggshells are great source of calcium, when recycled into powdered form can be used as a planting materials as a natural fertilizer for the soil, it is a good calcium supplement for snail and also poultry layers for good formation of their shells.

It is essential for the strawberry, bell pepper, watermelon etc farmers. Interestingly, it is consumed by Humans as well.Practicing Agriculture as a female is fun. it stands me out where ever i go. it gives me the edge to be known and noticed most especially the fact that i recycle what people see as waste.

The journey so far has been quite interesting. As we all know destiny comes in pieces. So we are trying to bring all of its pieces together.Major challenges;

It’s really not easy trying to sell a new idea to the market that are used to an old existing idea.

You need a whole lot of conviction but most of all you have to be very grounded with the knowledge of what you are trying to sell.

Advice to youths; if what you want doesn’t exist, create it. In 2-3 years, I see @ifarm go global because recycling of eggshells is not just a challenge we face here in Nigeria but rather it is a challenge faced by other countries on its disposal technique.
