The actress who is set to launch her reality show, King Tonto, despite objection from her estranged husband, Churchill Obasanjo, has been very outspoken about her faith, especially on social media where she preaches and exhorts her followers regularly.

One of the wives of popular South African monarch, the King of Swaziland, has reportedly committed suicide by overdosing on drugs – it’s been reported that Senteni Masango, the eight wife of Africa’s last absolute monarch, Swaziland’s King Mswati III, has died after committing suicide.
According to Citizen, she was found dead in the early hours of Friday morning, April 6, not up to a week after the burial of her sister, Nombuso Masango.
According to reports, Senteni overdosed on about 40 amytriptyline capsules – Amitriptyline, which is sold under the brand name Elavil, among others, is a medicine primarily used to treat a number of mental illnesses. This includes major depressive disorder and lack of attention disorder.
Sources closer to her have revealed how unhappy she was with the abuse within the royal household. It was alleged that the king ordered to ensure that she neither attends her late sister’s memorial service nor funeral.
Until her death, she allegedly lived alone for over three years in a big mansion with not a single visit from the king.
King Mswati last year officially unveiled a new bride, Siphelele Mashwama, the 19-year-old daughter of a Swaziland Cabinet minister, Jabulile Mashwama.
She became his fourteenth wife, though some have left him. Further reports claim he now has 15 wives.
King Mswati was born Makhosetive Dlamini, which means “King of Nations”. When Mswati’s father, King Sobhuza II died, Mswati was only 14 years old.
Because he was still attending school at this time, two of his father’s queens (Queen Dzeliwe Shongwe, and Queen Ntombi Tfwala) stepped in as regent until Mswati could take the throne.

In another episode of domestic violence in Nigeria, a woman has accused her husband of brutally beating and maltreating her just because she advised him against drinking alcohol.
The abused woman revealed that after she advised her husband who takes drugs to control his high blood pressure, to stop taking alcohol for his own health, he allegedly descended on her by beating and maltreating her.
The woman also claims that this isn’t the first time of being beaten in her marriage as she alleged that the husband no longer wants to take care of their child.
The woman who has now fled Lagos, is currently in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state capital and is seeking for justice.

PRESIDENT BUHARI TO SEEK RE-ELECTION IN 2019
President Muhammadu Monday in Abuja declared his intention to seek re-election in 2019.
President Buhari made the declaration at a closed-door meeting of the National Executive Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The President said he was responding to the clamour by Nigerians to re-contest in 2019, adding that he wanted to give NEC the honour of notifying them first.
Shortly before making the declaration, the President presented a speech on the report submitted by the APC National Executive Technical Committee.
His remarks:
REMARKS BY HIS EXCELLENCY, MUHAMMADU BUHARI, PRESIDENT, FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA, ON THE REPORT SUBMITTED BY THE ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS NATIONAL EXECUTIVE TECHNICAL COMMITTEE 9TH APRIL, 2018
I am delighted to welcome you all to this very important meeting in the affairs of our party and our country. I want to specifically thank members of the Technical Committee for a job well done within the limited time frame.
2. It shows a great sense of commitment to the ideals of our party with a view to consolidating and positioning the party to continue delivering good governance in the overall interest of Nigerians.
3. With the present state of the party and based on the report submitted by the Technical Committee, It is important to focus on how to move the party forward by avoiding actions detrimental to the interest of the party. Considering that politics is a game of numbers, we must not be a house divided against itself and must try to note, appreciate and accommodate our differences as far as the law permits.
4. Upon my review of the Report, my position is to ensure that the party tows the path of unity, legality and cohesion and not that of division.
5. Therefore, I am stressing that we should strengthen our internal democracy by organising the Party’s Congresses and Convention where election of National Executive Committee members would be held. This will automatically end the cases filed by members seeking orders of Court compelling the party to hold its Congresses.
6. I also believe that the current executives should be free to vie for elective positions in the party if they so wish as permitted by our Party constitution.
7. However, considering the provision of Article 31(1)(iii) of the APC Constitution which requires any serving officer desirous of seeking re-election to resign from office 30 days before election, I am not sure of the practicality of present serving officers’ ability to meet this condition.
8. Accordingly, the party may consider granting waivers to party executives at all levels so that they are not disenfranchised from participating in the elections should they wish to do so, provided this does not violate our rules.
9. Necessary waiver(s) should also be extended to executives at the Ward level whose tenures may have elapsed, and indeed to anyone knocking at our doors from other political parties. This is in the spirit of the Right to Freedom of Association guaranteed by the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).
10. In this circumstance, the party should officially issue a statement on the above Waivers so that our house may be full. We all must not be ignorant of the times, and the journey that is ahead of us.
11. Just like our party symbol; “the Broom,” which typifies strength in unity, let us strive to remain united in our purpose. Victory is sure by the Grace of God, and together we must continue to sanitize Nigeria’s political environment.
12. Once again, I welcome you all to this meeting with the hope that we will, in our deliberations today, conduct ourselves without rancour and promote the highest interest of the party and the nation.

Eneh Ogechi is filled with thanks after she survived a very terrible accident in Enugu State.
Apparently, a truck crashed into the tricycle Ogechi boarded and totally crushed it… just shortly after she took a selfie in the tricycle… and she came out in one piece.

Despite being the most controversial and troublesome housemate in the Big Brother house, Cee-C has been regarded by viewers as a major title contender and also the strongest female housemate in the house.
From reactions and votes on her part, Cee-C seems to have as much lovers as she has haters – few hours back, former housemate, Rico Swavey was evicted from the show after raking in the least votes and then viewers were taken aback after discovering Cee-C raked the second highest votes after Miracle.

A Nigerian doctor has taken to Twitter to share a quite sad and desponding story of an overly religious mother who let her fanaticism claim the life of her child.
According to the doctor, the mother acting out of religious reasons chose to let her son die rather than accept a blood transfusion that would have saved him.
The doctor wrote on Twitter:
“Madam your baby needs to undergo an urgent surgery and he’ll need blood transfusion too.
He’s anaemic.”
Mum moves over to baby’s bed “Nwam, ngwanu, you will die na. God said we shouldn’t take blood.” We begged. They refused. He was 2 wks old. I cried. Why? Faith or murder?
I cried Doc, when they signed against and took him away. He died in the other ‘Preferred’ hospital where they took him.

Kasirim explained that “boda boda” riders i.e commercial motorcycle riders are employed to carry dead bodies to mortuary by tying the corpses behind them on the bikes. They then ride along the road to carry out the assignment.
The same happens when the corpses are to be brought back home for burial.
Kasirim’s post has caused quite some buzz on social media as people alien to the trend express their surprise.
This morning, Housemates, Miracle, Lolu and Nina had a conversation about Cee-C constant talk and fight in her sleep.
According to Lolu, he says Cee-C talks as if she’s having a conversation with someone and even fights in her sleep.

Nina then said Miracle suggested Cee-C stop eating late as it could be a contributing factor.

The Zimbabwean fashion influencer revealed that she’s down with housemate, Lolu but also hailed Cee-C for being the real ‘Double Wahala’ and a force to reckon with.

Davido took to his Snapchat last night to react to Rico Swavey eviction.
Viewers were hit with total shock last night when housemate, Rico Swavey was announced as the latest contestant to leave the Big Brother house.
The actor and singer was only nominated for eviction twice in the Big Brother game and the second time wasn’t favourable for him as it saw him leave the house.
Rico was up against Alex, Cee-C, Miracle, Nina and Lolu and while Ebuka announced that Nina and Lolu were saved, he called on Rico Swavey and being saved wasn’t his fate last night.
His supporters were certainly saddened to watch him leave as they took to social media to bewail his painful exit from the house and surprisingly, Nigerian singer, Davido was one of his supporters.
The singer took to his Snapchat to react to Rico’s leave from the house, as he wrote,
The Lagos state police command has issued a statement giving in details all they know so far about the murder of Nigerian singer, Alizee who was murdered in her home by her Danish husband, Peter Nielsen, on Thursday – Alizee was killed alongside her daughter.
According to reports, Mr Peter Nelson is currently being investigated by the Homicide team at SCID Panti Yaba.

The Lagos State Police Command in its usual manner of informing members of the public about its activities wishes to state, and for the records, that it is investigating an alleged case of murder that took place on Thursday 5th of April 2018, at Bellasta Tower, Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos.
In respect of the unfortunate incident, the Command declares as follows:
That on the 5th day of April, 2018, at about 11am, it received a complaint from the Facility Manager of Bellavista Tower, Banana Island, Mr.Kunle Kukoyi, that at about 7am of 5th April, 2018, he was informed by 13 year-old Miss Gift Madaki that she heard her elder sister, Late Mrs Zainab Nelson, 37 years old, crying in the early hours of the morning as she was being manhandled by her husband, one Mr. Peter Nelson, a 53-year old citizen of Denmark. The little girl estimated the time she heard her sister’s cry to be 0345hours.
Based on the report, the Command mobilised its Crime Scene Detectives to the location pari passu the medics from Britannia hospital, Lekki Phase one Lagos. Together they went to Flat 17, Block 4 apartment of the Nelsons.
Two bodies, identified as that of Zainab Nelson and her 3 years old baby, Petral Nelson were found in the kitchen. The doctor and his team inspected the bodies and confirmed them dead.
Preliminary investigation conducted at the scene revealed that the violence that consumed the deceased persons started in the couple’s bedroom but the bodies were dragged to the kitchen.
On closer examination, visible marks of violence were seen on the bodies. The corpses were photographed and evacuated to Lagos Island General Hospital for autopsy.
Meanwhile, letters has been sent to the embassy of Denmark intimating it that Lagos State Police Command is investigating Mr Peter Nelson, a citizen of Denmark for an alleged case of murder.
Further development on this case will be duly communicated to the general public.

Cee-C yesterday, during the usual Sunday Eviction surprisingly had the second highest vote after Miracle.
Miracle took the lead in votes with a percentage of 25.76 while surprisingly, Cee-C followed with 19.80%. Lolu came in third with 16.29% and Nina next to him with 15.81. if it were two housemates leaving the house this night, Alex woulda been one of them as she was second to the last with 14.63% of votes which leaves evicted housemate, Rico Swavey with the least vote percentage, 7.71.

The Food Fights Continue
After showing so much fun and unity in the party, the Housemates came back and the food fights started again. Unlike the typical shouting and calling each other, this time a lot of shade was thrown and the ears that were supposed to have received the shade, did.
Alex has been for a long time, according to her, been quiet about instances involving the Housemates wasting food. She told Tobi that ‘since they’ve been back they have been wasting food and that’s not ok’ to which Anto quickly defended herself saying she has no business fighting for food.
Catching Feelings
What Alex said hit at home with Rico Swavey and it didn’t sit well with him. For the first time, Rico voiced out how saddened by this issue because he knows he’s one of the people who like cooking in the House.
Cee-C was the first to advise him to stand up for himself and not let shade get to him. She added that she too has been a victim of the Housemates talking behind her back and that she hopes they leave the House with the prize.
Meanwhile, Tobi advised him to let the issue go and in not so many ways pointed out that the culprit was the Head of House, Khloe.
In a Nutshell
The Game has stiffened considerably lately and the Housemates have been left to fend for themselves and dodge shots completely invisible to them. Thanks to last week’s Eviction twist that saw the unanticipated end of BamBam’s journey, followed by Teddy A’s exit, the Housemates have had to hold on for dear life. It wasn’t all dry leaves and thorns though because Biggie managed to add some sugar, spies and all things spice, on the week that was.
Tougher, Tougher, Toughest
The Housemates’ early mornings went 360 thanks to Lawrence’s presence. After weeks of lazing around and only really exercising when the stars aligned, Biggie’s new introduction left the Housemates very uncomfortable to say the least. Thanks to Easter graces though, the Housemates were able to sweeten up during the egg hunt that saw Khloe hopping onto the HoH chair, further stiffening the game’s cords. Talk about bittersweet symphonies; more so on Miracle’s end of the stick as he was put back into the Nomination pull, after escaping narrowly.
Artistic Instincts
More twists that saw the Housemates almost completely occupied were introduced. The Yes Challenge was probably one of the most interesting as the Housemates were thrown in and out of their comfort zone, remember how Alex went on a dolling spree and turned the guys into her personal mannequins? On the brighter side of things, after Biggie’s disciplinary hearing, following Cee-C’s dress cutting episode, the Housemates were allowed to let out their inner creatives by redecorating their personal space. All we can say is, body parts were canvassed.
The week was sweetened further when the Housemates managed to bag their Wager, despite Biggie’s unconventional trialling methods; and for the umpteenth time, Miracle banked the Million during the Payportes games. With an Anto and Lolu kiss, as well as the party to seal the deal, what more could the Housemates ask for?
Near The Finish Line
All of the Nominated Housemates walked up to the Diary room with a heavy heart. In full awareness of their possible Eviction, they all confessed to feeling nervous at the prospect of leaving the House. Yet Biggie wanted to pull the strings a little bit tighter and asked them who they thought shouldn’t see the end of the game. Answers came forth in two categories – those who counted themselves in and those who didn’t include themselves in the finalists.
With Me
Funnily enough, only Alex and Lolu named themselves among those who should make it to the Finale. Alex for instance also added Tobi, Anto, Nina and Miracle whom she said were the most authentic. In her no nonsense approach, she confessed that the rest of the House annoyed her to no end. Lolu on the other hand believed that Rico Swavey, Alex, Tobi, Anto and himself should be the last to leave the House. In his opinion, Nina and Cee-C shouldn’t make it to the end.
Without Me
Likewise, Nina returned Lolu’s favour as he was the only Housemate she said she didn’t understand one bit. However she also was of the opinion that Alex, Miracle, Tobi, Anto and Rico were cool and real enough to make it to the end. Like Nina, Cee-C, Miracle and Rico Swavey seem to have volunteered others ahead of themselves for the finishing line. Cee-C beat around the bush for a while before stating that Tobi and Alex didn’t deserve to see the end of the show. Miracle didn’t waste a minute and believed that based on merit Tobi, Nina and Anto shouldn’t leave just yet as opposed to Cee-C.
For Rico Swavey, it is Anto who deserved to get to the end, for they shared similar upbringings. Yet Rico felt that besides what he described as Miracle’s ‘flying propaganda’ he had never heard Miracle talk of other things, and with the edge Miracle already had, Rico believed that a Miracle win would be unfair on all others.

A Wahala-Free Exit
When BBNaija presenter Ebuka called his name through the television monitor, Rico remained equal to himself and took the news without flinching. Rico has always been known by his remarkable emotional restraint, and tonight was no different. In the lounge, all remaining eight Housemates came closer to him for one last hug, and one by one he hugged back, received and gave friendly taps before Tobi and Lolu escorted him to the elevator. Rico’s exit will probably be remembered as a wahala-free departure, for no tears or shouts or fainting the likes of which we had seen in the House previously accompanied the news.To the contrary, sensing their own end near, Housemates seemed to have swallowed the bitter pill without blinking.
Looking Back
By the time host Ebuka welcomed Rico Swavey onto the BBNaija stage, he was visibly filled with emotion, as evidenced by the largest grin ever could barely mask. As Host Ebuka started grilling him with questions from viewers on his love interests in the House, Rico didn’t hide that Ahneeka was the Housemate he had wished to get closer to. Yet the biggest blow came when he was shown footage of the last Nominations that revealed that it was Alex and Anto who had put him up for Eviction. Rico would have never suspected that the same Anto he just earlier in the day said should stay until the end was capable of dropping him like an old sock. Besides, that Alex also Nominated him left him speechless for she has been the subject of his desire in the House.

President Buhari will be leaving the country today, Monday 9th April for an official visit to UK where he is due to hold some discussions on Nigeria.
British relations with the Prime Minister, Mrs. Theresa May, prior to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meetings scheduled for 18th to 20th April, 2018.
The President will also meet the Chief Executive Officer of Royal Dutch Plc, Mr. Ben van Beurden in connection with Shell and other partners’ plan to invest $15b in Nigeria’s oil industry.
These investment ventures will lay the foundation for the next 20 years production and domestic gas supply, bringing with it all the attendant benefits both to the economy and the wider society.
President Buhari is due to renew discussions with the Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Rev. and Rt. Hon. Justin Welby, a good friend of the President on inter-religious harmony in Nigeria and World-wide.
Further meetings have also been scheduled for the President to see some prominent British and Nigerians residing in Britain.
A middle-aged man, identified only as Muyibi, has collapsed and died in a commercial cab in the Ojota area of Lagos State.
PUNCH Metro reports that the victim boarded the cab after withdrawing money from a United Bank for Africa branch in the Ogudu area.
The driver had turned to demand the cab fare from the victim when he realized the man had become motionless.
After reaching the terminus, a resident told Punch’s correspondent that the driver alighted from the cab to nudge Muyibi, who appeared to be fast asleep.
The resident, who did not want to be identified, said,
“The driver had picked some other passengers along the way, and they had all paid and dropped off at their various bus stops.
“When the victim did not respond when they got to the terminus, the driver parked the cab to rouse him, but he was cold.
The driver raised the alarm, which drew the attention of commuters and passersby to the scene. People checked him and discovered that the man was dead.”
Policemen from the Ogudu division were said to have been alerted to the incident.
The driver’s vehicle was impounded, while the man’s body was deposited in a morgue.
A source at the cab park who spoke with Punch newspaper confirmed the incident, saying:
“It happened around 3pm on Friday. The man went to withdraw some money in UBA. The Ogudu Divisional Police Officer was compassionate; she pitied the cab driver, who had become jittery.
Although the man was not detained, his cab was impounded at the station pending when the deceased’s family would show up,” he added.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Chike Oti, said the police recovered N100,200 from the victim’s bag.
He said:
“The man was on his way to Ojota when he collapsed and died. We recovered the sum of N100,200 from his bag.
He also had a phone, which had a new SIM card. There is no contact on the phone and nobody has called him. We have a lead as to where he could be living.
His body has been deposited in a morgue for autopsy.”
There was chaos in Egbe, in the Ikotun area of Lagos State, when some homosexuals allegedly fought one another after contracting the Human Immunodefeciency Virus.
PUNCH Metro gathered that one of the men, identified as Ezeugo, infected his first lover with the virus.
Ezeugo had reportedly brought in another boyfriend to the house and was about to make love to him when the first boyfriend raised the alarm around 3am on Tuesday.
It was learnt that policemen from the Ikotun division were invited by residents and the suspects were arrested.
A police source said the prime suspect, Ezeugo, confessed to have been a homosexual for about five years.
He said, “We got a distress call from residents around 3am that there was a fight among five homosexuals living together in a room apartment.
“On getting there, we were told that late that night, the neighbours heard a noise and thought a thief had broken into the house. But they later discovered that the noise came from the room where the men stayed and that they were fighting.
“The tenant who accommodated the others, Ezeugo, had gone out to bring a new gay partner and was about to sleep with him when his first lover protested that he could not be sleeping with him and his tribesman from Calabar, Cross River State.
“Ezeugo denied that he wanted to sleep with the new person.
“While we were interviewing them, the first lover said his major grouse was that Ezeugo was sleeping with him and wanted to sleep with his tribesman as well.”
But the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Chike Oti, said the suspects fought after they discovered that they had been infected with HIV.
Oti identified the men, whose ages ranged from 20 to 31, as Ezeugo, Akachukwu, Abuchi, Dara and Marvellous.
The police spokesperson said the five suspects were in custody and they were assisting with investigation.
He said,
“They were into gay relationship and a quarrel broke out among them. The security men who listened to their heated argument alerted the police and the Ikotun Divisional Police Officer sent men there to arrest them. One of them confessed to be HIV/AIDS positive and said it was his boyfriend that infected him. The boyfriend was sleeping with the other men as well and that was the cause of their fight.”

A young man has been apprehended after he and three accomplices robbed a woman of her ATM Card.
According to reports, the woman explained that while using the ATM at a service station she was distracted by the suspect while his accomplices stole her bank card.
As the suspects ran towards a brown Toyota Corolla, she screamed for assistance.
Onlookers managed to apprehend one of the men while his accomplices fled in their getaway vehicle. The mob demanded that the suspect hand over the bank card and when he informed them that it was not in his possession they began to assault him.
The suspect was severely injured during the assault.
He was placed under arrest and handed over to Police for further investigation.
