Nearly a month ago, Nigerian rapper, Phyno held his annual ‘Phynofest Concert‘ in Enugu which sold out as thousand showed up to watch the rapper perform.
Just last night a tweet went viral on Twitter of how at least 20 girls were raped at the event – Twitter user, @obuteaku1, tweeted:
‘Girls who paid money to attend a music show were raped. In a stadium, full of people… Girls were raped. Girls are not safe anywhere, crowded or deserted. And you tell me men are not scum’.
She went on to say, ‘Over 20 girls were raped. The ones that are confirmed o‘.
In reaction to the claims, the rapper took to the platform to share how the stadium was heavily guarded at the time and how it almost would’ve been impossible for such to happen.
A Nigerian bride is going viral online over a photo of her and her bridesmaids – shouldn’t be anything special, should it? we see brides and bridesmaids virtually every Saturday, init? – well, the peculiarity of this bride, is actually her bridesmaids.
As seen in the now viral photo, the apparent Nigerian bride is surrounded by lovely bridesmaids who definitely don’t share neither her skin tone nor her tribe.
The lovely Nigerian bride, obviously Yoruba, can be seen in her Iro and Buba with Gele attire, while her bridesmaids look every bit like Nigerians in their traditional wears – even a baby is seen donning a Fila… lol… how cool.
Today is head of states, President Muhammadu BUhari’s 75th birthday and as the nation wishes her leader a happy birthday, Nigerian politician, Femi Fani-Kayode is not left out in dishing out wishes too.
Fani Kayode took to his social media page to write to the President, how he can give them the best birthday gift. He wrote:
I congratulate @MBuhari on his 75th birthday even though I disagree with him on virtually everything and I deplore his agenda and ways. I believe his that he has been a disaster as Pres. and that the best birthday gift he can give Nigerian people is his resignation letter.
Major brand in Nigeria, Guinness has fulfilled its promise of bringing Football legend and Skysports pundit, Thierry Henry to Nigeria.
Some moments ago, the icon touched down Nigeria and from the photos taken of him, one can see the aura of excitement around him as he’s all smiles while greeting his fans.
A grieving Debra Parsons, 41, will have her mum, Doreen, as part of her Christmas dinner this year – by scattering her ashes on the turkey then tucking in, Daily Mirror reports.
And for dessert she’ll enjoy Christmas Pud… with a dusting of her mum’s last remains too. Debra has felt the urge to EAT Doreen’s ashes since she died in May and has had a small spoonful most days to feel “as close as possible” to her.
But as she faces Christmas without her, the craving has become even stronger. “It is the only thing that will get me through my first Christmas without mum,” said Debra.
Debra’s fiancé – not named – has supported her through her grief and they plan to marry next year.
“I am lucky that my loved ones understand what I am doing,” said Debra, of Folkestone, Kent.
“And I know my mum would have been happy for me to do whatever I needed to get over no longer having her in my life.”
You see, we all have agreed that voting Buhari was an avoidable mistake that we held our hands and walked into.
We fell for stupid things like “But, he’s a lesser devil”. Hello, devil is devil. The lesser one is even one to be more afraid of because he can get worse because all devils do is get worse.
We fell for “He’s broke na. He has cow in his village. He even played bet to raise money for campaign”
We fell for “Jonathan is a woman. He is so soft. We need a hard man”. We voted an hard man who not only showed his hardness. He made this hardness a national anthem.
Today is his birthday. 75 years old. He has tried. Months ago many wished him death and even prophesied that he will die because he was very sick. Very!
Today, he is still alive while some who said he should die are in the morgue chilling.
You understand?
I give it to him. He’s a stong man.
But, sir, can you please tone down this hardness? It is painful. It is paining all of us in different places.
It is paining me when there is no light and fuel sells for 180.
It is paining me when my friends lose their jobs because economy has k leg.
It is paining me when I’m on the road doing a 2hr trip and on the 4th hour I haven’t gone half way.
It is paining me that Christmas is here and I don’t have any savings.
Why?
Because since you came in, problems are like the five fishes and bread Jesus used to perform miracles. They don’t finish.
Even when they do, there are full baskets everywhere!
Please, we are not asking too much.
Eat money.
All of it.
But, give us road, light, water, standard education, standard medical systems.
Carry other money and go.
Okay?
Happy birthday.
I won’t wish you long life and prosperity because you have both in abundance.
Cheers.

Foreign singer, K. Michelle was a guest on the TV show, The Real, where she disclosed her plans to take out her butt implants because it is now weighing heavily on her legs and causing her leg pains.
She told the hosts that she got the butt implants in the first place because she was having self esteem issues – according to her, she said she felt the bigger her butt, the more love she will get from men so she got work done on her boobs, butt, and hips, but it is now causing her so much discomfort as her legs are too small to carry the weight.
She has been to several doctors to have it removed but most didn’t want to touch it. She says she has now found a doctor who is willing to work on her.

About 10 months ago, Nollywood actress, Funke Adesiyan was in the news for blasting President Buhari for extending his vacation/medical leave in London indefinitely on Sunday.
Funke had said then that she’s ‘not disappointed in this egoistic, deceitful, two faced tyrant of a president as I did not vote for him’ – her lambaste was quite controversial, as she even took swipes at leading citizens like, Asiwaju Tinubu, Prof Wole Soyinka, Adams Oshiomole and others.
Fast forward to today, the actress according to a new post on her IG page, has announced her decision to join the same political party she lambasted some months back.
Funke wrote on her page:
My journey into politics was borne out of my passion and desire to touch people’s lives positively. Having realised that there was little I could achieve in my private capacity, I decided to put myself in the political landscape of the country. That resolve has never changed. My mission has always been to make life easy for the man next door. While that could not be achieved on a different platform in #2015 due to factors that would not be necessary to delve into at this time; it is my joy to announce today that I am joining the #progressives with the same resolve. My commitment and loyalty to whatever or whoever I believe in is unwavering, unflagging and unflinching. I assure my people of my unalloyed commitment to a life more abundant. This can only be achieved by working side by side with individuals who are also driven by the same passion to achieve an egalitarian society.
God bless Nigeria
God bless Oyo State.

A Nigerian lady on Facebook, Ifeoma Vivian Emeka, has taken to the platform to apprise ladies of her discovery of how their crazed hair extensions – weavons, wigs, human hair and all – are demonic and can take them to hell.
Some months ago, a pastor too had admonished his members of the same thing as he told them they were wearing “snakes” on their heads and they shouldn’t partake in the usage of the extensions.
Vivian now, alongside a photo of her some of the wigs she set ablaze, has warned her fellow sisters to sto braiding their hairs or fixing them if it’s possible.
She wrote:
I JUST BURNT ALL MY WEAVONS,WIGS ..PLEASE IF YOU ARE A GIRL BURN YOUR WEAVONS AND WIGS IT IS DEMONIC AND CAN LEAD YOU TO HELL PLEASE DO IT NOW . EVERY WOMAN IF POSSIBLE STOP BRAIDING OR FIXING…
G-worldwide Entertainment artiste, Sugarboy in an exclusive chat with Showtime, has said he’d definitely be bigger than Wizkid and Bob Marley, and perhaps become the biggest artist in the world.
“It’s been a great year for me; particularly because it’s the year I dropped my album and it’s the year I really got to be known. I’m grateful to my label for that; it’s hard work and with God’s help I’ll become the biggest music artiste in the world; not big like Wizkid but big like the late Bob Marley by God’s grace”, he said.
Speaking further, he bragged of how big he has become in less than three years of breaking into limelight.
“The Sugar Boy brand has been growing since 2015; I was unknown before 2014 but since 2015 it’s been a growing brand, it’s not an overnight thing. Sugar Boy is a force to be reckoned with; I’m the future, the same way they saw Wizkid back in the day when Banky W asked people to watch out for him, that’s who I’m right now, by God’s grace I’ll be a music mogul in years to come.”
Following the refusal of Nigeria Law School to call Miss Firdaus Amasa to bar for refusing to take off her hijab last week, another female law graduate from University of Ilorin, Laylah Al-Mubarakah has vow to attend the same programme next year with her hijab on.
Miss Firdaus Amasa
The father of the lady, Alhaji Abubakar Aliagan, a lecturer in the university of Ilorin went to social media, “Imam Ali-Agan” to announce the resolve of his daughter in solidarity with Firdaus. He stated that,
“MY DAUGHTER, EVEN IF AM NOT ALIVE AND THE MATTER IS NOT RESOLVED……..YOU RECEIVE MY BLESSINGS……..IN THE LIKE MANNER THE FATHER OF FIRDAUS IS NOT DISTURBED”
Alhaji ABubakar Aliagan wrote on his facebook page as follows:
Firdaus Amasa is a daughter of a dear friend. She was not call to bar because she was adamant on her Islamic mode of dress.
She was a year ahead of my daughter at the Faculty of law, University of Ilorin. When her courageous father, Mallam Oba Amasa, came to my house ( he sometimes pray the SALAT in my mosque) to break the news to me, my only regret is that Firdaus was left alone in this struggle. How I wish my daughter is there this year to stand behind her.
Whether this matter is settled amicably in the court or not, my daughter, LAYLAH AL-MUBARAKÀH, has vowed to be the next victim. She wrote the following lines in her blog.
Reading the news that our courageous sister, Amasa Al jannah Fidaos was not called to the Nigerian bar because she refused to remove her hijab brought tears to my eyes. Is Fidaos the only muslim lawyer out there? Others should have joined her. I wish there were more muslim females like her. To some you may think what she has done is rebellious. But to me it is courageous and she has maintained her stand as a muslim.
Imagine this, A girl has been brought up in the way ordained by Allah right from her birth, she has been wearing the hijab from then, She has never for once remove her hijab just for the sake of being called to bar she has to remove it. Removing the Hijab is being Unclad.
I have been asked several times that will i remove my hijab when i am to be called to Nigerian Bar? I always answer that I dont know. But Now, I have my answer, Amasa al jannah firdaos has provided the answer.
The constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria particularly Chapter 4, Section 38 (1) of the 1999 constitution and Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Right, provide:“Every person shall be entitled to freedom of thought, conscience and religion, including freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom (either alone or in community with others, and in public or in private) to manifest and propagate his religion or belief in worship, teaching, practice and observance.” Is denying her entrance in to the hall because she is wearing the hijab not an infringement on her right to practise her religion?
To Firdaos, you were our Ameerah in National Association of Muslim Law Students Unilorin Chapter and you led us well, When you were the Ameerah, through your humility and selflessness you inspired me to be like you . Now you have laid the foundation to justice and i pray and hope your efforts will be acknowledged. I celebrate you and to me you are a Legend.
This is a wake up call to every muslim in Nigeria, to fight for this injustice and use the position and power the Almighty has bestowed on you all to fight for this injustice.
MY DAUGHTER, EVEN IF AM NOT ALIVE AND THE MATTER IS NO.
Imam Ali-Agan is a lecturer in the Department of Religions, University of Ilorin, the Proprietor of An-Nur Islamic College, and the Chief Imam of An-Nur Central Mosque, all in Ilorin.
A Nigerian Lady, identified as Mrs. Abaniwonda Modupe Kofowoola was found dead on board Emirates Airlines when it landed at Lagos Airport. SR reports.
This is coming just few hours after the United Arab Emiraes (UAE) carrier, Emirates airlines, launched its second daily flight to the Murtala Muhammed INternational Airport (MMIA), Lagos and returned to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA), Abuja.
According to reports from SR, Kofoworola was found dead onboard the airline when it landed at the Lagos Airport. She was with the passport number: A07562816 until her death on the aircraft.
The flight EK783 (DXB) with the Expected Time of Arrival (ETA) at 15:55hrs, but, arrived at 15:50 hrs with the corpse of Mrs. Kofoworola.
Immediately on arrival, the airline crew notified the medical team of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) who immediately swung into action, but the deceased was confirmed dead by Dr. Akanwo of FAAN Medical at 16:35hrs.
Immediately she was confirmed dead, FAAN officials together with the staff of the airline at the Lagos Airport evacuated her body from the aircraft, loaded her in a FAAN ambulance and moved her to the general hospital in Ikeja.
As at the time of filing this report, the cause of her death could not be ascertained.
The source said: “No one knows the exact time the woman died onboard the airplane, but immediately the aircraft landed, the crew called our attention to the incident and we had to inform FAAN officials.”
This is not the first time a Nigerian would be dying onboard Emirates coming into Nigeria.
It would be recalled that in July, the President of Lions Club in Nigeria, Mr. Dada Isaac Olusola on arrival slumped and died at the Lagos Airport few minutes after arriving at the airport.
The deceased, who was in the company of his wife and Lions Club members had arrived the country aboard the airline from the United States of America.
The plane had a stopover in Dubai before connecting Lagos. The team had gone to the US for a conference, relating to Lions Club.
Olusola was with the passport number: A04501199 as at the time of his death. He had arrived the country on flight EK783 (DXB) at 15:55 hours.
Big Brother Nigeria 2017 First runner-up, Bisola Aiyeola, has in an interview with Inside Nollywood, opened up on her biggest achievements in life.
The singer/actress disclosed that her biggest achievement was giving birth to her daughter, Leyla.
“I will always say having my daughter was my biggest achievement, then also making my family proud. And as the years go by, God willing, I’ll achieve more and more”, she told Inside Nollywood.
On speculations in some quarters that most female celebrities don’t know how to cook, she said;
“I would not say that a lot of our ladies do not know how to cook these days. I actually think that we need to have a cooking day and you would be amazed at what the ladies would offer. Times are changing; we have technology taking over and everyone is trying to be an entrepreneur. And just because of the long hours that we spend at work, many opt for the restaurants and fast food joints. That does not mean that they cannot cook. As a matter of fact, you would be amazed at the meals that the ladies are cooking these days”.
Recall, the Ex-Big Brother housemate recently shared her preference between a man who’s good in bed and a man who’s rich and not necessarily good in bed.
Bisola, speaking with Broadway TV was particular about her answers as she says she rather be with a man with money over a man who is good in bed.
Asked what she looks out for in a man, his height or his face… she says:
Personally, I’m not about physical qualities… No.. if he can make me laugh, I’m good, I’m good with someone who has a fantastic sense of humour… so I’m not really particular about how he looks, how tall he is, how short he is, his skin complexion, nah.
When she was asked to be good in bed or to be rich, Bisola said:
If you’re rich, you can buy the goodness of the bed.. (laughs) oh my goodness, I think people overrate this good in bed something, good in bed, after the goodness of the bed, you’re now hungry who that one help? You’ll not even have strength to be good you know… I’d rather you have the quid, yeah…
It all started when a Muslim Lady, Firadau Amasa, refused to remove her Hijab at the call to bar ceremony on Wednesday, and ended up not being called to bar.
Nigerian lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, this afternoon, shared this photo of a Nigerian nun who had to remove her religious attire for that of the legal profession. He argues that the nun could have also added her ‘headgear’ to her legal attire since she wants to respect her husband, Jesus Christ.
Here’s what he wrote; “Nobody is above the law. Look critically at this photo and make your comments. If you don’t like heat, do not go into the kitchen. If you hate war and fighting, do not join the Army. If you do not want to abide by the dress code of the Legal profession, do not aspire to be a lawyer. You cannot have it both ways.”
Inibehe also reacted to the tweet by the president of the Nigeria Bar Association, Abubakar Mahmoud, that the controvery against the use of Hijab is needless and will be addressed.
Using the picture of his daughter which he, Mahmoud posted, Inibehe pointed out to the NBA boss that Sharia courts and the Nigerian courts in general does not allow women wear trousers during practice.
“Look at this photo shared by the NBA President. Her daughter wore a trouser; look at the type and colour of her shoe; look the size and colour of her hijab.”
“No lawyer in Nigeria, not even in the so-called Sharia States in the North, can appear before a Judge with any of those. In Nigeria, female lawyers do not wear trousers.”
“Those relying on the statement of the NBA President should ask questions. It will be ridiculous for us to mend our Rules and Conventions simply because of what is obtainable elsewhere.”
“When this lady applied for American visa, I will like to know whether she had her hijab on while taking photographs and during the screening? Mr. A. B. Mahmoud SAN should tell us.”
“Islam forbids women from touching men who are not their husbands. But don’t we have female nurses and female security personnel? Do they not interact with the opposite sex in the course of their work?”
“Hijab as I understand, is only worn by female Muslims to shield them from unnecessary attention. It is just a protective apparel. The wig also serves same purpose. Hijab is just a piece of fabric that is made and sold to those who want to wear it.”
“No woman was born with a hijab. If you want to join a profession like law, you must be ready to abide by its tenets. You cannot expect the profession to adjust its rules just to suit your religious beliefs.”
“I am not scared of being labelled or insulted by the Social Media Hisbah Police who have taken it upon themselves to attack anyone who disagrees with their opinion. I do not care what you think of me. I don’t have respect for religious bigots.”
“If you have followed me for long, you would have known that I am far more critical of questionable things and practices that I find in Christianity.”
“Labelling me anti-Islam is not just nonsense but certified nonsense.”
Hip hop musician, Damini Ogulu, aka Burna Boy, is currently cooling his heels in the custody of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Lagos State Command.
The embattled artiste has spent two days with criminals held in a SARS cell for offences ranging from robbery to theft.
He was reportedly being investigated for conspiracy in the robbery of his colleague, Abiye Jumbo aka Mr. 2Kay.
Burna Boy, who was declared wanted by the state Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, on November 20, was apprehended on Friday and detained.
Four suspects, including Burna Boy’s road manager, Joel Kantiok, had been paraded for allegedly robbing Mr. 2Kay on October 22, in his room at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, shortly after “Buckwyld N Breathless” concert held in the facility.
During the parade, the suspects, except Kantiok, confessed to have carried out the attack on the order of Burna Boy.
The assailants had disguised as room service officials to gain entry into the singer’s room.
They reportedly beat him up and dispossessed him of a wristwatch, gold jewellery, phones among other valuables estimated at millions of naira at gunpoint.
They subsequently tied him up and fled with their loot.
A police source told our correspondent on Saturday that the singer was still making statements to detectives.
The source said, “He is currently in the SARS custody and he is helping the police in the investigation. For now, I can’t say categorically what his charges will be but definitely they are related to robbery for which the other suspects were arraigned.”
Another police officer, who is privy to the case, said Burna Boy’s arraignment might not come up on Monday as planned, noting that investigators wanted to present watertight charges against him before the court.
The officer said, “His statements are still being taken and there are more revelations. We don’t want to rush to court with charges that will be struck out for lack of evidence.
“The essence of prosecution is to secure a conviction at the end of the day. That is what we want to ensure.”
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Chike Oti, confirmed that the artiste was being held at SARS, adding that the Investigating Police Officer would come up with the appropriate charges.
“He will be charged to court on Monday,” he added.

Fidarau Amasa, the University of Ilorin law graduate who was refused entry into the Abuja venue of Last Wednesday December 13th Call to Bar ceremony because she was wearing a Hijab, has broken her silence.
In an interview with Premiumtimes, Firadau said there is no law prohibiting Female Muslim lawyers from wearing Hijab to the Call to Bar ceremony.
According to Firadau, she is determined to pave the way for Female Muslims to be allowed to wear Hijab to the ceremony.
“There is nothing like that (laws preventing the use of Hijab). When you ask them too, they tell you it is convention; that that is how it is done and it has to remain like that.”
Amasa says wants to change the narrative and give Muslim sisters the right to express their constitutional rights as enshrined in the constitution.
“I knew that was what was going to happen. My demand is that Hijab should be approved,” she said.
Firadau’s younger sister, Tawakaa, who was also called to bar on the said day, called on Nigerians to support her sister’s cause which she says is not illegal.
“All we are clamoring for is to allow hijab in legal profession because it is our right,” she said
YBNL Boss, Olamide who changed the venue for his “OLIC 4” concert from the Eko Hotels and Suites to Teslim Balogun Stadium, has in an exclusive chat with Showtime, disclosed that he is not in any competition with his colleague, Phyno.
Olamide while reacting to critics claim that he is scared of Phyno, over his successful soldout concerts at huge venues at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium in Enugu, revealed that everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
He said:
“I’m not competing with Phyno, everybody is entitled to their own opinion, and I’m just living my own dream. I’m 100% excited because this is something I’ve been looking forward to for over three years now; it’s always been about doing it big, something beyond the ordinary, giving back to the people and spreading love. Eko hotel is good, we’ve done a lot of stuff there but bringing OLIC4 to Teslim Balogun Stadium is about telling people out there that this is Lagos and Lagos cannot be limited, we can achieve whatever we set out to achieve”.
It has definitely been a great year for Nollywood actress, Adesua Etomi – Fresh from featuring in the popular hit movie, The Wedding Party, to marrying one of the most-sought-after bachelors in the entertainment industry, Banky W.

Recalling her labour room experience in the block buster movie, The Wedding Party 2, where she gave birth to twin babies, Ms Wellington noted that it was quite an interesting role to play.
“I haven’t had a child before, but I had the opportunity to be around people that are pregnant and I did a bit of research too in order to interpret my role well. I had a load on my shoulder trying to portray that role effectively.
Those who have had babies before would know if I wasn’t getting it right, so I had to pull on the experience I have been around people that have been pregnant,” she added

The first SAN (Senior Advocate of Nigeria) from South-East Nigeria, Chief (Mrs.) A. J. Offiah’s daughter, Kaka Eva-Offiah has recounted how she first appeared in court with her mum 23 years ago.

23years ago, my mother, then Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General Enugu State, drove to court early one morning. She didn’t realize that a tiny 2year old was crouched down behind the driver’s seat, clad in her pjs and soggy nappies. You see, I’ve been said to be very attached to my Mommybear. And I couldn’t understand why she had to leave me every morning. She mostly let me go out with her except in the mornings, but that day, I wasn’t having it. I crawled into the car while it was being cleaned and hid in there(I still wonder how she didn’t see me).
My unsuspecting mother got to the Court of Appeal, and hurried in. I waited in the car for what seemed like forever, still crouched down in my hiding position. After realizing that my plan wasn’t working out as I thought it would, I opened the door and got out of the car. The court building was huge. Little me in my now heavy nappies and onesie pjs ran into the nearest entrance screaming “Moommmmmy” at the top of my voice. I didn’t know where to look.
Some kind people(then enemies trying to keep me away from my beloved mother) tried to hold me and help me find my mom, I scratched at them and escaped. I kept screaming for my Mommybear and wandering around the building. She must have heard me cause next thing, a shocked looking Mommybear dashed out of some nearby court room. Ah. The way I ran to her. She was still in shock as she picked me up and my then dripping nappies stained her court gown. She soothed me and carried me back into the courtroom with her.
She must have gone to get an adjournment because we left a few minutes later…. Today, less than 24hours after my call, I appeared in court with my Mommybear. Not as a howling 2year old in soggy nappies, but as her colleague, robed in a wig and a gown. I had the rare privilege of having my first appearance in court less than 24hours after my call at the Supreme Court of Nigeria, and the rare privilege of being announced in court by the first female SAN of the South-Eastern Region, former Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice Enugu State, former NBA Chairman and Body of Bencher, but most importantly, my Mommybear..”

It’s been over two years since Didier Drogba brought his second spell at Chelsea to an end, but his legacy lives on at Stamford Bridge.
Nine years in total at the Blues saw Drogba become a club legend, scoring 104 Premier League goals and winning the title four times.
And without realising it, the Ivorian is still playing an important role in the success of his former employers.
Didi as he is fondly called famously scored the header against Bayern Munich that pushed the match on to extra time where he crowned it up with a winning penalty strike to give Chelsea their only Uefa Champions League trophy.
The iconic striker returned later under now Manchester united boss Mourinho and clinched for the last time a Premier league trophy and the English Football league cup
Alvaro Morata, who joined Chelsea in the summer from Real Madrid, recently admitted he watches videos of Drogba in his prime to develop as a striker.
“I put it on at home so I improve with Didier,” said the Spaniard.
Fast, powerful and lethal in front of goal, Drogba was a defender’s worst nightmare because he had absolutely everything.
Drogba became renowned for his unique hairstyle during his time in the Premier League, but his locks are a thing of the past after he shaved his head.
