Top Nigerian Singers, Wizkid and Davido who many thought are having serious issues, over what folks tagged as “The Battle of Supremacy”, were seen performing together at Wizzy’s concert, #WizkidTheConcert this morning.
Staboy, Wizkid joined Davido to perform “Fia” at the concert which took place December 24 at Eko Hotel, Lagos.
We would recall that Davido, while receiving his award at The Future Awards Africa 2017, had said that he is not fighting anyone in the industry as many believe.
“I don’t dwell on things like that. Music is my focus, not rivalry. It’s all about making good music for me, and I believe that the sky is wide enough for all to fly. This year has been very great for me and I am thankful to God and all my fans. I have been very busy and it has been a roller-coaster for me. I don’t take it for granted, and I will always put my best into all that I do. It is about showcasing Nigeria to the world in the proper light, and I am glad that there is now more focus on African music. There are indeed a lot of talents out here.”
It was reported some time ago that the founder and General Overseer of the Living Faith Church also known as Winners’ Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo who is among the richest pastors Africa – owns four private jets.
This has not gone down well with Nigerians who never forget to bring up issue of extravagance and flamboyancy anytime they hear the name of the pastor or the church.
Writer and journalist Leke Beecroft, has revealed in details how private jets the church currently has. Read below;
DOES WINNERS’ CHAPEL OWN FOUR JETS?
The biggest criticism concerning the Church ownership of jets is that a particular Church, Winners’ Chapel owns four jets. Infact, the respected Forbes Magazine has quoted the same information severally. In an environment negatively disposed to the growth and prosperity of Churches, this is well understood. However, what is not understood is that falsehood can be bandied for so long without critics caring to crosscheck.
It seems that as far as any information about the Church might seem to put her in bad light, critics would always be ready to shut their brains and put off their thinking caps to accept it. Knowing the leader of the Church in question however, Bishop Oyedepo, a man of great faith, would never insist that the Church does not have four jets; instead, he has prophesied that there would soon be at least 10 jets with parking for helicopters in addition and owned by worshippers; but what are the facts? How many jets does the Church actually own?
The first aircraft bought in 1996 for N100 million was an 8 seater HS (Hawker Sydney) 25 400B with registration 5N-WMA (World Mission Agency) for the propagation of the Gospel across the globe. On September 18, 1996, the aircraft was dedicated.
Note that unlike the situation with Oduyemi of Bethel, a one branch Church, Winners’ Chapel had just launched her AGIP (African Gospel Invasion Program) 2 years earlier in 1994 with a vision to take Africa for Christ.
Also, the Church was already holding her very hectic annual apostolic visits (it was on one of such hectic apostolic visits that Pastor (Mrs) Faith Oyedepo fell ill and almost lost her life) and the first trip of the aircraft in Nigeria was to Kaduna when Bishop Oyedepo ministered at the Garden of Faith in September 1996.
I was privileged to be in that service as a teenager and by the next day, I was curious enough to join a Deacon in the Church to see the jet for myself at the Kaduna Airport.
Like I said earlier, politicians travel on national campaigns once every 4 years using jets in Nigeria. For a Church undertaking annual missionary or apostolic visits, I saw every need for the use of an aircraft. Campaigning for Jesus round the country every year deserved the use of a jet.
In June 2004, a second aircraft was bought as a ‘replacement’ for the first one. The new aircraft was a HS 800A with registration 5N-PTL (Praise The Lord).
By August 2008, The Challenger 604 with registration N664D (Dominion), a newer and bigger aircraft was gotten at a good deal during the global recession. At this point, the Church had two jets, however, one of the oil majors in Nigeria had taken the HS 800A on lease and were thus paying for it at prevailing commercial rates until it was involved in a minor accident.
Plans to buy a GLEX (Global Express) were later discouraged by Pastor Kenneth Copeland according to Bishop Oyedepo and eventually the two aircraft were sold while the Church airline operators (Dominion Aviation Center) bought two aircraft in replacement; first a helicopter with registration-5N-BQY used for short trips to Landmark University Omu Aran in Kwara from Lagos or from Ota to the Lagos Airport and on a few occasions to Abuja etc.
The helicopter has now been disposed of. The other aircraft which is the ONLY ONE in use presently is a Challenger 605 with registration N633WM (World Mission).
Basically and by design, as new ones came in, old ones were always sold out. The peak of foreign trips by the aircraft was between 2010 and 2013 due to the planting of thousands of Churches from 2010 in which the Church grew from 700 branches to over 6000.
This is certainly a grand ending for the year 2017 for this couple who welcomed a set of twins after 11 years of marriage and 22 of friendship.
It is an amazing year for the Nigerian man, Ude Okoh and his wife who according to multiple reports, dated for 11 years before getting married and 11 years after, they just received their double blessings.
The couple welcomed twin babies following series of pregnancy complications.
Erstwhile Special Assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan on New Media,Reno Omokri has in a series of Tweets shared his shocking thoughts about Christmas.
According to Reno who is also a clergyman, “Christmas is an abomination and a blasphemous festival”
See his Tweets below…
Recall, he recently reacted to President Buhari’s recent Christmas speech – saying that President Buhari misquoted the Holy Bible on Christmas.
Read Reno’s article below;
Who writes President Buhari’s statements? His spokesman is a pastor like me, yet he ignorantly released the President’s Christmas message which said inter alia that:
“The Holy Book describes Christmas as a festival of peace, joy, healing, hope and fulfilment.“
The statement above is a fallacy. The Holy Bible does not mention the word Christmas, neither does it mention that Christians should mark any festival surrounding the birth of Jesus the Messiah (Nabi Isa in Islam).
Christmas is a European holiday, not a Christian holiday.
It is celebrated in Nigeria and much of the world, for the simple reason that it was Europeans that brought modern day Christianity to Nigeria, Africa and much of the world.
I have read the Holy Books of Judaism, Christianity and Islam and while all of them acknowledge the Messiah, NONE of them instructs believers to celebrate Christmas or the birth of Christ.
In fact, God deliberately made sure we do not celebrate the birth of His only begotten Son, Yeshu’a (Jesus) by keeping the actual date of His birth from us.
No one on earth knows the date of the Messiah’s birth.
What the Holy Bible, and Jesus specifically, asks Christians to celebrate is the death of our Lord.
In Luke 22:19 Jesus says:
“And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”
Apostle Paul, in 1 Corinthians 11:26 reechoes the Messiah’s instruction when he said:
“For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.”
The reason Jesus asked us to mark His death and not His birth goes all the way back to Solomon (Suleiman in Islam) who said in Ecclesiastes 7:1 that:
“A good name is better than fine perfume, and the day of death better than the day of birth.”
The very last thing Jesus said before ascending to heaven is in Matthew 28:18-20, where He said:
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and TEACHING THEM TO OBEY EVERYTHING I HAVE COMMANDED YOU. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
These words are called The Great Commission in Christianity.
Jesus asked us to teach only those things He commanded us to teach.
Where did He command us to teach Christmas?
As a matter of fact, Christmas was not celebrated for 336 years after Jesus left the earth.
The first Christmas celebration was in the year 336 AD when the Roman Emperor, Constantine, converted the celebration of a pagan mass to mark the winter solstice which glorified European deities. That festival was marked on December 25.
Do not take my word for it. I urge you, in fact I appeal to you to investigate these statements I just made.
That Christmas has become part of the Christian tradition does not mean that it has become acceptable with God.
You and I know that Jesus condemned the Pharisees. Now ask yourself why Jesus condemned them?
Matthew 15:9 gives us the answer:
“But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”
I have already factually established that Christmas IS NOT Christian doctrine. It is a command of a man. To be precise, the name of that man was Emperor Constantine who ordered everyone in the Roman Empire to celebrate the Winter Solstice as Christmas beginning from 336 AD.
This is the epitome of satanism because The Bible warns us in 2 Corinthians 11:14 that:
“for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.”
If satan asks any true Christian to celebrate a pagan satanic ritual festival, they will never do it. So he just transformed a satanic ritual festival by giving it a new name-Christmas and voila, Christians begin to celebrate what Jesus did not command us to celebrate.
Christmas is an abomination and a blasphemous festival and the Bible warned us about it in 1 Timothy 4:1 that:
“The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.”
Let me ask you a question. If Jesus and the Bible don’t teach Christmas, from where and who does it come from?
After reading this and you want to disagree with me, please quote the biblical verses that support your argument and not what your pastor or a book other than the Bible says.
Christians are the most gullible people. Today’s churches will celebrate anything as long as it is popular. Churches of this age even celebrate Halloween. Yes, Halloween. They attempt to Christianize it, but they celebrate it none the less.
But before I stray too far from my message, let me just state it for the record that President Muhammadu Buhari is wrong on Christmas. But I don’t blame him. I blame Femi Adesina who obviously read (and perhaps wrote) that statement.
The President can celebrate Christmas. Try as my conscience would, I could not persuade President Jonathan not to celebrate Christmas. It would have been political suicide. However, let no President lie against the Holy Spirit and say that “The Holy Book describes Christmas as a festival of peace, joy, healing, hope and fulfilment.“
Like Orubebe, ‘we will not take it, we will not allow it.’ The Holy Books say no such thing!
President Muhammadu Buhari has sympathised with Nigerians on the lingering fuel scarcity, three weeks after filling stations started grappling with shortages.
“The fuel scarcity being experienced nationwide is regrettable. I sympathize with all Nigerians on having to endure needless fuel queues.
“I’m being regularly briefed, especially on the NNPC’s interventions to ensure that there is enough petrol available during this period & beyond,” the president said on Twitter.
Mr. Buhari said he has directed the NNPC to do something about the crisis, which has left Nigerians stranded and sent prices of commodities through the roof.
“I have the NNPC’s assurance that the situation will improve significantly over the next few days, as new shipments and supplies are distributed across the country.
“I have also directed the regulators to step up their surveillance and bring an end to hoarding and price inflation by marketers,
“Let me also assure that the relevant agencies will continue to provide updates on the situation. I thank you all for your patience and understanding,” he said.
The president has been criticised by opposition party politicians for failing to address the crisis on time.
He was advised to relinquish his position as minister for petroleum by Oby Ezekwesili on Saturday
Mrs. Ezekwesili, a former education minister, said the president handling the ministry to a separate official will help reduce the political influence over it. She said full deregulation would be a lasting solution to the protracted crisis.

The constant comparison between two of Nigeria’s acts, Wizkid and Davido is something that Nigerians should do away with.
Steve Ayorinde
This was the submission of Lagos State Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Mr Steve Ayorinde during a tweetchat with NET to discuss the 2017 edition of One Lagos Fiesta.
The two artistes have become the most sought after pop stars from Nigerians in recent times, which has led to continuous comparison of the two of them.
Wizkid
‘That question should not arise, the almighty has blessed Lagos state in particular and Nigeria in general with some of the most talented artists in the world like Olamide, David and Wizkid who happen to be front-line artistes’, Ayorinde said.
He went on to say that all these artistes, especially for the fact that they were raised in Lagos makes them good ambassadors of the state who need the support of all.
Davido
‘Their fans are happy with their content and artistry. Lagos state is proud to have them as ambassadors to the limitless creative offerings at the centre of excellence. They need our support to climb higher in their nascent but remarkable careers. They will go far!
Davido and Olamide are expected to join a long list of A-List artistes on the line up for this year’s edition of One Lagos Fiesta; an eight day long series of concerts and events that holds from Christmas Eve to New Year’s Eve.
Less than 72 hours after she cried out for help, screen diva, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, has found and reclaimed her lost iPhone.
Recall, YBL had reported few days ago that the beautiful actress cried out after her new iPhone 7 was stolen at the Miss Nigeria Pageant, which held at Eko Hotel and Suite where she was one of the judges.
She took to her Instagram page, to share a screenshot from her iCloud, which shows the phone is currently offline.
She captioned the post;
“So Sad My New Iphone Red 128g, SN:- DNPT9PP8HX98 was stolen last Night During #MissNigeria at the Eko hotel just as I was rounding up with the Judging duties…”
“Pls If you picked it or know Someone who did? Or someone’s trying to sell it to you… It can’t be used its Locked. However very valuable contacts will be lost. Pls help return. Contact @redhotconcepts if you pls have any info.”
“In many countries today, you Must Register your handset just like you do your Sim. Nigeria should adopt same to reduce phone theft.”
A quick check on details on the phone shows it’s an iPhone 7, 128gb.. and it’s worth N300,000.
While pleading for the iPhone to be returned to her, Omotola said though the device was locked – making it useless to whoever took it – her valuable contacts were her primary concern.
In an update on Sunday, she said the iPhone has been “found and returned!”
She wrote:
Found and Returned! Let me pray for you and raise your faith as we are about to Enter a New year. *Anything you don’t give willingly will Never be taken away from you!
*If it leaves you , you will receive it back better, bigger and with more value * You will not be wasteful and complacent with the little the Good lord has given you
* Men and Great Favour Will Rise anytime you call.
* God’s favor will encompass you, envelope you and deliver you and anything that’s yours to you
* You will Not fall out of favor with God
All this I ask in Jesus Mighty Name.
Thanks to all that reached out, didn’t belittle my quest to have MY “affordable” phone back and those who actively worked hard in this regard.
It might seem small…but treat it like much (one of my secrets in life )
So now let’s get on with it…. ?
The former Governor of Abia state, Orji Uzor-Kalu’s daughter, Neya had her white wedding recently and it was graced by quite a number of high-profiled personalities and A-list celebrities.
The likes of 2face, Flavour, Basketmouth, Bovi, including high-profiled politicians like Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Oyegun etc were all in attendance.
Nigerian singer, Gloria Doyle has in a new interview with The Sun, recounted how she suffered domestic violence in her previous marriage.
She also disclosed why she has refused to remarry since her first marriage packed up.
She said:
”I walked out of it with my children alive and faced the challenges, stigma and relegation of being a single mother. I took the bull by the horns for my children’s sake and never got remarried for my children’s sake as well and I am all good about it. I experienced excessive beatings for no just reason. It was very painful. I really don’t know how to explain in. I told my ex that after three years of marriage, I wanted to return to my music career and he got so mad he just couldn’t stop battering me accusing me, that I only wanted to be let loose. It was a very sad experience for me”
On her advise for woemn in abusive relationships, Gloria said:
When a relationship gets to the point of verbal abuse, which leads to physical abuse, if care is not taken, anything could happen so I strongly advice, walk out in peace and not in pieces. I have seen many young women lose their lives because they were unable to let go their abusive husband especially when they depend on their husbands for everything. Women feel very uncomfortable walking out of such relationship because of the stigma attached to being a single mother. I am talking about things like ‘oh, she is a single mother, she separated from her husband, she is a divorcee.’ Please, if you are going through an abusive relationship, separate yourself from it for a while. If it is reconcilable, all good and if it is not reconcilable, each party should move on”.
Gloria who was rumored to be getting married to a younger man a few years ago, said it didn’t work out because she is not mentally ready for marriage but that when she is ready, she will give it another shot.
Nigerian Prophet T.B Joshua has given a thought-provoking Christmas message on the cause of poverty, citing the absence of compassion and love.
Joshua who began in a somber statement he released to Facebook, disclosed that money or resources are not the major factor behind world lack.
“The beauty of life does not depend on how happy you are but on how happy others can be because of you,” He said.
Using the Scriptural reference of 1 Corinthians 13:13, he further explained, “The manner you love your neighbour determines the measure of your relationship with God.”
The cleric explained that even those who are materially wealthy are often filled with complaints because they are keeping their wealth, rather than sharing it with others.
“You are rich but you are still complaining – as if you have nothing… You have money yet unanswered questions in your life. You are a president but anytime you are in private, you cry for what you do not have.”
In his words, the solution can only lie in reaching out to ‘find’ those who you can help.
“Possessions do not bless when we keep them. Money does not bless when we keep them in the safe but giving them to help the poor, needy, refugees and others, can. We use money to get what we need but when we keep it, it becomes dormant as if we do not have,” Joshua wrote.
Speaking bluntly, the cleric – who is known for his extensive humanitarian gestures – pinpointed that:
“The cause of poverty and hardship is because we have not been giving to help others. We keep our possessions and save our money. We say there is not money but money is everywhere. The cause of poverty is because our money is not being circulated.”
Concluding, Joshua called on people to ‘build’ their lives around the principles of love and charity in order to effectively deal with poverty.
“You are blessed to bless others but you are blessed and not blessing others – that is the cause of poverty. Therefore, build your life around your contribution to others, for that is the beauty of life,” he said.
The cleric’s message was reiterated during the activities of the annual Christmas Carol Service held at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) on Friday 22nd December 2017 and broadcast via Joshua’s channel Emmanuel TV.
Nigerian singer, Oritsefemi has in a new interview with Sunday scoop, said that there is nothing wrong about flaunting his wife whenever he wants.
The singer who held a traditional and white wedding last month at The Ark, Okunde Blue Water Drive, Lekki, Lagos with his beautiful wife, Nabila, revealed that he is a man of the people and cannot hide his wife from the public.
He said:
“Everything about me is out there. The reason I often gush about my wife on social media is because I’m proud of the love I have for her. I have nothing to hide. Because I’m a celebrity, a lot of attention is always on me, and whatever I do becomes topic of discussion.
I don’t think it is a crime to appreciate your spouse. In fact, it is something every couple should do more of. But the relationship between me and wife is very tight. We love each other. Nobody can come in between us. Since I got married, I have become a different person. I’m more responsible now.”
On whether his baby mamas wouldn’t feel slighted by all the love he’s showing his wife, the Double Wahala singer said:
“We have perfect understanding among us, and nobody feels slighted about anything. I always make sure I give everyone the respect that they deserve, and that’s all that matters.”
Reacting to his former manager, Danku’s claim that he introduced him to his wife, Oritsefemi said;
“I have no comments about that. It is unnecessary. There are some interviews that I cannot grant. I don’t promote people without any tangible reason.”
Speaking on how he would celebrate the Christmas and New Year holidays, Majemite said,
“I give thanks because the year has been so good for me. I will just call some friends and we would celebrate together. I’m also about to release a new song titled, Kiss your Bride. The song is based on my wedding.”
A young Nigerian Lady has called out some Nigerian Artistes and berated them for what she saw as ‘misleading the Public’ , the style of switching to Gospel songs right after promoting sexual Immorality in their videos.
The Lady specifically called out, Flavour, Zoro and Phyno.
The Lady who goes by the name Ifeoma Vivian Emeka on Facebook, said she found disrespectful, that the artistes were not fit to sing for God.
She wrote ;
FLAVOUR ,PHYNO, AND ZORO, IF YOU WANT TO SING FOR GOD DO IT FULL TIME, ,,,,I FIND IT DISRESPECTUL AFTER PROMOTING SEXUAL IMMORALITY ON YOUR VIDEOS,,, ,,, THE NEXT MINUTE YOU ARE SINGING FOR GOD, GOD IS HOLY AND HIS PEOPLE ARE RIGHTEOUS, STOP MISLEADING THÉ PUBLIC,,YOU ARE NOT FIT TO SING FOR GOD..
Veteran Nigerian reggae singer-songwriter and guitarist, Majek Fashek, has told controversial OAP Daddy Freeze that he will not allow him shine with his name because he loves cheap publicity.
Daddy Freeze had lambasted Fashek for performing at a concert held by the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly last Sunday.
“I am still searching for the sense in this. I am a huge Majek fan, but do I want to see him perform in a church?”
However, in a reply to Daddy Freeze, Majek Fashek, who has been making serious attempts to redeem his music career, told Sunday Scoop that he didn’t understand why Daddy Freeze wanted to use his name to attain “cheap publicity”.
The ‘holy spirit’ crooner said,
“Before now, I never had issues with him. I am aware that he likes controversies, but he shouldn’t bring me into it. If you listen to my songs, you will realise that they can be played anywhere, including in the church. When I stepped into the church, everyone welcomed me. The pastor embraced me and introduced me to the audience. After all, sinners are welcome in the church.”
Uzoma Omenka, who is the manager of Majek Fashek, had earlier threatened to beat up Daddy Freeze, said he felt bad when he saw his comment because they had put in serious efforts to build Majek’s image after going through a turbulent phase in his life.
Omenka said,
“where I come from in Delta State, we don’t ignore things like that. We don’t give people opportunity to speak evil of us. I know what it has cost us to redeem Majek’s image, so nobody should attempt to destroy our hard work. I don’t want to join issues with him over what he said, but he must show Majek some respect.
“If he calls Majek out again like he recently did, I will flog him like a baby and take him for deliverance. This is not a threat; it is what I can do because I don’t take rubbish. We like peace, but when you look for our trouble, we don’t run from it.”
“Since we were in Abuja, I called a friend that we would be worshipping with them and he told me about their concert. Everyone was excited to see Majek when he came in. When they gave him a microphone to speak, do you expect him to reject it? He only sang for seconds and left the podium.
“Even if he had performed more than three songs, there was nothing bad in that. Majek’s songs such as Love and Affection, and Send Down the Rain glorify God. Majek is not just a musician; he is a crusader and preacher.”
Bobrisky and Denrele Edun are two controversial Nigerian cross dressers who had over time had style battles, that you can either love or hate…
Well, whenever Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky’s name is mentioned, Denrele Edun surely comes to most folk’s mind…… Though the latter had once asked Nigerians to desist from comparing him with Bobrisky, but people still think they share a lot of similarities.
In a recent chat with Sunday Scoop, Denrele said he has only met Bobrisky once and it was before he became famous on social media.
He stated:
“I don’t even know the guy personally. We’ve never done anything together and we don’t have anything in common. I read about him and see things he shares on social media.
“I only met him once when I visited Toyin Lawani (a celebrity fashion designer); you know Toyin is my friend. When I met him, he was not as popular as he is now and we had a friendly conversation. Then, he was always with Toyin. I am even surprised they are having issues with each other now because they used to be very close.”
According to him, he doesn’t have any problem with Bobrisky as people can become famous by different means.
“People should let him be. He is having fun and he enjoys every bit of it. I don’t have any problem with what he is doing. He understands the power of the social media and he is using it to his advantage. People who think I gave birth to Bobrisky say so because they don’t know my story. I worked to get to where I am today.
“Even when he was saying things about me on social media after I asked people not to compare me with him, I deliberately didn’t reply him because I knew he just wanted attention. At some point, you may need all the attention but one will get tired in the long run. He is enjoying the attention presently,” he explained.
Also, Edun insisted that marriage was still top on his mind, but he needed to make sure things were in place before starting a family.
“You know I am a family man. I need to make sure my family members and everyone around me are okay before taking a wife. I will definitely marry; it will happen at the right time.”
Nollywood actress Ivie Okujaye-Egboh has just announced she’s expecting baby no 2!
The actress who shares a striking resemblance with senior colleague Genevieve Nnaji, shared photos of her growing baby bump on her Instagram, with her daughter, who she welcomed with her husband Ezie Egbo last year.
Actress Ivie Okujaye (born 16 May 1987) is a Nigerian actress, producer, scriptwriter, dancer, singer and activist. In 2009 she participated and won the Amstel Malta Box Office (AMBO) reality TV show. She was awarded Best Young Actor at the 8th Africa Movie Academy Awards.
Popular Yoruba actress, Iyabo Ojo, clocked 40 last thursday and she shared some lovely photos on social media in celebration of her birthday.
The proud mother of two, who spent some time with special kids in Lagos as part of her birthday celebration, has however, reacted to speculations in some quarters that she is older than 40.
Iyabo Ojo, who began her acting career in 1998, and has featured in movies like ‘Satanic’, ‘Agogo Ide’, ‘Silence’ and ‘Beyond Disability’, told Sunday Scoop in an interview published on Sunday that she is proud of her age and has no reason to falsify it.
She said:
“Some people will always say whatever they feel like, and this is not something I would even want to dignify with a response. I am proud of my age, and I have no reason to falsify anything. I am very comfortable with where I am right now, and I know that God is still taking me to higher places”.
Diamond Platnumz had admitted that he had cheated on Zari Hassan with Hamisa Mobetto
The affair culminated into a pregnancy, which Diamond took responsibility
Hamisa Mobetto has become a threat to his wife, Zari Hassan, and this is making the mum of five very uncomfortable.
Zari and Husband Diamond Platnumz
According to SDE, the latest drama started when Zari went on a radio station to diss her husband, slamming him for sleeping with a ‘low life’ in their matrimonial home. She also added that the singer is on probation for daring to bring Hamisa into their home.
She said:
“I can even date a hundred men, I love being loved…Even if i left him today, I will date someone tomorrow. He is on probation! Why cheat on me with a low life, in my bed and without a condom? We had a discussion and I made it very clear that he should stop misbehaving and focus on his family and career. Until then, with musicians you never know when the next scandal is going to happen, I’m just out here with my guns ready. But he is being the man he supposed to be.”
Her comments reportedly got to Hamisa the wrong way, because SDE reports that sources close to the socialite reveals her plan to have Zari Hassan kicked out of Diamond Platnumz’s house.
The report added ;
“With their relationship on the rocks, Tanzanian singer Diamond and his Ugandan lover Zari Hassan could call it a day sooner than anyone expected. Hamisa Mabetto is even threatening to hasten the process having travelled to Uganda to ask Zari to leave Diamond alone as the two are now an item,”
And as though that was not enough, Hamisa and Zari have taken their rivalry to social media. While Hamisa brands Diamond’s wife a failed prostitute, the other had equally unsavoury words for her.
See their posts:
This nasty drama started that in September after Diamond Platnumz was forced to acknowledge Hamisa and her son. The singer had kept their relationship away from the media, and Zari added salt to Hamisa’s injury when she questioned the paternity of Hamisa’s son.
Hamisa Mabetto
That was all the trigger Hamisa needed, she went ahead to publish the photos of her and Diamond sleeping on Zari’s matrimonial bed, shared photos of her and Diamond when she was still pregnant, and even photos of her and the singer posing for an intimate selfie.
The singer was forced to go on radio and acknowledge her and her son, and it has been drama ever since.
Now, Hamisa threatens to move in with the singer and we can’t wait to see who will will emerge the winner of this nasty cat fight.
For months, Hamisa Mabetto and Diamond have been seeing each other and the Tanzanian girl says she is now fully in charge of the superstar.

‘Amanda a student of Lagos State University on 24th December, 2011 left for a party with her boyfriend. They stopped a Taxi ? and entered.
At a police checkpoint, one of the passengers sitting close to Amanda’s boyfriend told the police he noticed one of the passengers was hiding something under the seat?. The police searched him, searched the car and discovered a Gun (Pistol). Amanda’s boyfriend hid it.
Driver and all the passengers were taking to the police station and they all wrote statement. Driver was released and the other passengers but Amanda and her boyfriend were detained for further investigation.
Case transferred to SARS Ikeja and charged for Conspiracy/Armed Robbery. Though the boy confessed to be a cultist and also told them Amanda knows nothing about the gun or know his cult activities.
She said to me “At night, they will call me out to question me about my boyfriend. From there he (IPO) demanded for sex. My refusal to give in landed me in kirikiri’
Last week, Amanda was freed after Six (6) years Awaiting trial, boyfriend convicted for Unlawful Possession of Fire Arms.
Starboy, Wizkid, has finally spoken about the “perceived rivalry” between himself and DMW Boss, Davido.
Speaking with Sunday Scoop, Wizzy, as he is fondly called made it known he does not see Davido as a rival as his attention is placed on making good music.
In his words;
On what prompted his visit to his old neighbourhood in Surulere, Lagos, earlier in the year, he said,
“I am a Surulere boy through and through. That is my identity and I’m proud of where I come from. I went back to the hood to see my people and to spread some love. I have spent the most part of this year travelling, so when I had the opportunity to mingle with my people, I took it.”
The singer also stated that he was humbled by his recognition as the Best International Act by the Music of Black Origin award in England. “I see that award as a win for Africa. It is a special and humbling one for me and my fans,” he said.
Nigerian singer, Runtown has shared details on how much impact the release of his hit song, “Mad over you”, had on his career.
In his interview with Sunday Scoop, Runtown said;
“Even while recording the song, I knew it would be a very big song. But to be honest, I never thought that it would be as big as it eventually became. Immediately after the song dropped, everything changed. Everybody seemed to like the song, and it was played everywhere.
“I started getting calls from all around the world to perform the song and people were very emotional about it. All the songs I released after Mad Over You have also done very well, and the future looks even brighter.”
About his son Zamar, Runtown said, “My son is one of the best things that have happened in my life. His birth opened a new chapter in my life, and anytime I look at his face, I feel indescribable joy and excitement.”
On getting married to his baby mama, Selena Leath, soon, the singer simply said, “Nobody knows what the future holds, but right now, I’m concentrating on my career.”
Life has been unfair to ex-Arsenal star, Emmanuel Eboue, who many months ago earned millions of pounds in wages, lived in a luxurious mansion, and drove flashy cars.
But right now, the former Ivory Coast star, is presently struggling to keep a roof over his head, after he lost all his assets to his divorced wife, Aurelie, UK Mirror exclusively reports.
Eboue is about to lose the only house he is left with, to his former wife, after a lapse of a 3-week deadline given by a judge to hand over the house.
Speaking with Mirror, Eboue talked about hiding from bailiffs, talked about how he occasionally sleeps on the floor of a friend’s home, in a bid to avoid court officials who may be looking to enforce the judge’s order, how he travels by bus, and even cleans his clothes by hand because he has no washing machine.
The 34-year-old tells how his staggering riches-to-rags plight has pushed him to the brink of suicide.
In the exclusive interview with Mirror, Eboue says, “I want God to help me. Only he can help take these thoughts from my mind.”
Eboue, currently unable to play football because of ill-health, now suffers from mental illness after contending with the grief of a painful divorce and estrangement from his three kids.
Eboue also reportedly suffers from the shock of losing his grandfather, Amadou Bertin, who raised him, and his brother, N’Dri Serge, who was killed in a motorbike accident.
The former Ivory Coast defender who is presently unable to play football because of his ill-health as earlier stated, and a ban imposed on him following a problem with an agent, has expressed his desire to work with his former employers at Arsenal.
“When I talk about Arsenal helping me, I am not talking about money, it is about emotional support and opportunity to work there, to help the boys there and be happy”, he says.
The worried star also spoke about how he cannot afford a Lawyer no more, and how he’s about to lose his Enfield property;
“I can’t afford the money to continue to have any lawyer or barrister. I am in the house but I am scared. Because I don’t know what time the police will come. Sometimes I shut off the lights because I don’t want people to know that I am inside. I put everything behind the door. My own house. I suffered to buy my house but I am now scared. I am not going to sell my clothes or sell what I have. I will fight until the end because it is not fair.”
A young adventurous Nigerian from Irua, in Edo State, has narrated how he was driven by poverty to sell his kidney for the sum of N15million in Malaysia.
The man, identified simply as Abu, said he had travelled to Kuala Lumpur in 2008 in search of greener pastures, when he ran into some Malaysians, who told him he could make good money by parting with one of his kidneys.
According to one of his associates, Sam Otarumene, who spoke to Sunday Telegraph, Abu was introduced to some medical agents in Malaysia who briefed him about the “business” and allayed his fears that he could die.
“He was told he could survive on one kidney, and was also assured that he had nothing to lose. Within a few days, some tests were conducted on him, and his organs were certified healthy,” Otarumene said.
Upon completion of the test, he was allegedly told he would be paid in Malaysian Ninggit, which when converted to Naira amounted to N20million. But the agents insisted on receiving 25 per cent of the sum, part of which covered his post-surgery recovery expenses.
An agreement was said to have been duly signed by himself, the agent and the family of the benefitting patient before the operation. He said that was a major requirement before the hospital accepted to perform the surgery.
He was checked into an unnamed hospital on a Friday in the February of 2009 and after preliminary medical procedure, sedated and his kidney harvested. Abu, allegedly received the money and after recovering from the surgery, returned to Nigeria.
Upon his return in 2010, he informed some of his friends about the “business,” and invested his money into private business.
“He first erected a storey building in Irua, and has since then been working with some politicians,” the associate mentioned earlier said.
Attempts to speak with him were rebuffed by Otanumene, who said the action was a guarded secret, because Abu only revealed it to a few of his associates, adding that he even showed them the scar left behind by the surgery. He, however, showed our correspondent a video recording purportedly showing Abu spraying cash when a local musician described as Emperor Wadada, celebrated his 25 years on stage last year.
Clad in white attire, the fair-complexioned Abu danced excitedly before the musicians, spraying money as his accolades resonated from the local amplifiers. He said Abu is married with children and living happily by following his dietary instructions.
Otanumene said that contrary to reports of organ theft, many Nigerians enter into deals to sell off their kidney for a fee, adding that only in few cases were those organs actually sold without the consent of their owners.
Against the latest round of fuel scarcity rocking many parts of the country, private oil marketers are calling for government intervention to enable them to access foreign exchange at a special rate for the importation of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol).
According to them, selling the product at N145 per litre is no longer feasible with the current exchange rate.
Private marketers stopped fuel importation last year due to shortage of foreign exchange and increase in crude prices, which they said had made it unprofitable to import petrol and sell same at N145 per litre.
The National Operations Controller, Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, Mr. Mike Osatuyi, said, “The problem is that the importation (of petrol) is being handled almost 100 per cent by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation as private importers have backed out because the increase in crude price has made the landing cost enter subsidy.
“When the crude price hit $59 per barrel, we could not sell petrol again at N145 per litre if we were importing on our own. It is only the government (NNPC) that is importing and can warehouse the subsidy.”
He said the government through the Central Bank of Nigeria should have intervened by providing foreign exchange at a special rate solely for the PMS importation for both the NNPC and private importers.
Osatuyi said, “Right now, the landing cost of the PMS is N154. If you are importing at N305 to the dollar, by the time you add bank charges, it comes to N307 to the dollar. If you apply that to the current crude price, the landing cost is N154-N155. By the time you add all the margins, the pump price is about N160-N167.
“Before private importers can resume importation, the exchange rate to a dollar must be N250 and we can sell at the price of N145 per litre.”
Commenting on the forex challenge, the Executive Secretary, Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria, Mr. Obafemi Olawore, also said, “I am told that some people have special rates. If they do, fine; let them give to us also. We will prefer a situation where we have access to forex exchange and we can import.”
The Executive Secretary, Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association, Mr. Olufemi Adewole, in a telephone interview with our correspondent earlier in the month, noted that the increase in price of crude oil had led to a corresponding increase in the prices of refined products.
“Landing cost of the PMS today has increased. By the time we land the product based on the international crude oil prices, petrol should be selling for between N165 and N170 per litre. But government is saying we should sell at N145. So, if there is no subsidy, we have to depend on the NNPC to give us the product,” he said.
A top official of a Lagos-based oil marketing company told our correspondent on condition of anonymity, “Unless government gives another ceiling price, it will not be good to sell at the current price if you import now. It is expensive to import now. Some people who have customers they don’t want to lose can just do small imports.”
Analysts at FBNQuest Capital, in an emailed note on Friday, said improved forex liquidity had led to some relief for players within the downstream sector.
“Initially, oil marketers depended solely on the parallel market for their forex requirements. However, there is now better access via the CBN’s official windows. Furthermore, over the past year, the naira has appreciated considerably on the parallel market, making PMS importation relatively affordable for marketers that still source forex from that market,” they added.
Several stakeholders, including the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, have expressed concerns about the current state of the nation’s downstream petroleum sector, especially a situation whereby the NNPC has become the sole importer of the product into the country.
The Director General, LCCI, Mr. Muda Yusuf, in a telephone interview with our correspondent, said, “It’s unfortunate that fuel queues have returned. But there is a very fundamental problem with our petroleum downstream sector, and the problem is that it is over-regulated. You cannot have a sector as big as that serving our size of population and we expect only the government provider to be supplying fuel. It is not a sustainable model.
“So, there is an urgent need to push back the role of government in the issue of retailing fuel, importing fuel and all of that. Right now, it is only the NNPC that is importing the PMS. Such a thing cannot be efficient; it creates room for all manner of abuses; some of which the marketers cannot disclose because of their own businesses.”
He said the private sector should be allowed to play a bigger role in importation, refining, distribution, marketing and other activities in the downstream sector.
Following the severe fuel scarcity the country experienced in the first quarter and parts of second quarter of last year, the Federal Government on May 11, 2016 increased the price of petrol to N145 per litre from N86, putting an end to fuel subsidy to marketers, in what was described as partial liberalisation of the sector.
The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, recently noted that the non-availability of forex and the inability of marketers to open letters of credit had then forced them to stop importation.
He said the NNPC was forced to take up the obligation of providing more than 90 per cent of the domestic requirement to cover the demand for petroleum products, adding, “The NNPC was not designed to provide this kind of service. Historically, the NNPC had done an average of 48 per cent of Nigeria’s fuel requirement.”

Senator Ben Murray Bruce has spoken about the lingering fuel scaracity in the nation and how it is affecting businesses and individuals, especially during this festive season.
According to him, ‘This is the first time in my life that I have not seen long lines of vehicles and people coming to @SILVERBIRDCINEM during the festive season. I hope other businesses are faring better’.
He continued: “How did we get to the point in the year 2017 where a Nigerian earning the minimum wage of ₦18,000 can’t even fill up his fuel tank with his monthly pay. Can’t buy a bag of rice with his salary. Can’t buy a one way ticket to his hometown for Christmas with his wages. How? Why?”
“To the Nigerian people, I feel your pain. Yuletide is a time our people travel to unite with friends and family in their hometowns. The fuel scarcity makes that difficult. I wish I could offer our people more. But know this, even this shall pass and a better Nigeria will emerge.”

President Muhammadu Buhari has just shared his 2017 Christmas message to Nigerians, saying; “I am deeply convinced that better days lie ahead for us as a nation as we make progress on all the major fronts where we have set our energies to surmount the challenges”.
Read the full message below;
Dear Compatriots,
I felicitate with all Nigerians, particularly our Christian brothers and sisters, on the occasion of this year’s Christmas day celebration.
The commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ is an important opportunity for us to show love to one another and encourage unity by spending quality time with our friends, families and the less-privileged.
It is also an occasion to draw inspiration from the exemplary lifestyle and teachings of Jesus Christ, who constantly stood for what is right, true and honest.
The Holy Book describes Christmas as a festival of peace, joy, healing, hope and fulfilment. It kindles great expectations in the heart, irrespective of the challenges of the moment.
As we celebrate this Yuletide season, let us devote some time to pray and appreciate the sacrifices of members of our armed services to keep our nation safe and secure.
By the same token, and keeping with the spirit of the season, our gallant troops serving in the frontlines in the fight against insurgency; those wounded, lying in the hospital, as well as civilians who have suffered the brunt of evil and wicked elements these past years, deserve our fervent goodwill and sustained prayers.
The personal fortitude of these individuals will continue to inspire us to victory as we turn the tide against the enemy and annihilate those who work against the unity of our nation.
In this season of hope, let us remember to provide refuge to those who cannot enjoy Christmas at home with their families, or have been driven from their homes by insurgency or violence, particularly the Internally Displaced Persons.
Lately, we have witnessed an upsurge in the activities of trans-border syndicates who lure our youths to modern slavery through irregular migration. While we have stepped up our efforts to halt this wickedness against the upwardly mobile generation, and have evacuated some of our compatriots stranded abroad, we appeal to them to shun the allure of embarking on such perilous journeys.
I am deeply convinced that better days lie ahead for us as a nation as we make progress on all the major fronts where we have set our energies to surmount the challenges.
She is not really known for her prowess in acting but everybody knows Anita Joseph especially because of her superb figure, which could make many men drool.
Her backside is massive and the actress knows it, little wonder she flaunts it at will, posting incredible photos that show off her figure.
In a recent chat with Saturday Beats, the actress acknowledged that men would usually give her a second glance each time she passed them.
She said, “When it comes to my body, it has not been easy with the advances I get from men because of my bum. It has not been easy at all. It makes me wonder if it is a problem having a big bum or a killer figure.”
However, the bum reduction is not in the offing at all for Anita.
She said, “It has never occurred to me to reduce my bum. No, why will I do that? Reducing my bum will be me mocking God for what He has blessed me with. I can’t even add weight because if I do, my bum would become massive. People pay to make their bum big, why would I reduce the natural one God gave me for free? Please leave my bum, it’s from God, undiluted.”
The actress made it known that she was in a serious relationship but refused to reveal the identity of her man. She simply said, “I am in a relationship but my boyfriend is not in the entertainment industry, I would say that our meeting was a miraculous one.”
Commenting on how the year treated her, Anita told Saturday Beats that 2017 was a financially rewarding year for her. “This year has been wonderful and I can’t complain but I know 2018 will be better and more promising. I see a greater year ahead. Yes, it has been financially rewarding and I thank God for that. I travelled out of the country for business and pleasure. I had worked too hard and I deserved the rest,” she said.
