A woman identified as Sahura reportedly gave birth to quadruplets, all boys, in her home at Zakara area of Makera village, Dutsinma Local Government Area of Katsina State without any form of local or medical assistance.
It was gathered that after giving birth, Saturday evening, Sahura later proceeded to the General Hospital, Dutsinma.
A source in the hospital, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said though the babies are underweight, they all survived.
It was also gathered that the woman doesn’t have an ante-natal care attendance record and despite an offer to accommodate them for further examination in the hospital, they insisted on going back home to return the following day (yesterday), a promise they did not fulfill.
The source said;
“it is true. The woman gave birth at home on Saturday. After the birth, the woman, the babies and the husband proceeded to the hospital on Sunday. “But when they were asked to stay in the hospital for further examination, they insisted on leaving to return the following day (yesterday).
But as I speak with you we have not seen them in the hospital. “And upon interrogation, we discovered she did not attend any hospital for antenatal care.
Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has taken steps to make real his threat to sue New York-based online news platform, Sahara Reporters, for publishing false reports about his marriage to his current wife, Precious.
Recall that the online platform had in a viral report alleged that Chief Fani-Kayode had been been physically abusing his wife of three years – Precious – and mother of his only son, Aragorn.
The report also claimed that the PDP chieftain denied paternity of his wife’s latest pregnancy, which has been revealed to be triplets, accusing an unnamed U.S-based disc jockey of being responsible for impregnating Precious.
Mr. Fani-Kayode, who has since denied all the allegations, has caused his lawyers, DPC Attorneys and Solicitors, to write a letter to the publisher and editor-in-chief of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, demanding a retraction of the report, an apology in two national dailies as well as N10 billion in damages.
In the letter, the lawyers gave the platform 14 days within which to comply with the ex-minister’s demands or be prepared for a libel suit in both Nigeria and New York.

A 50-year-old Muslim man, Mohammed Ssemanda, from Uganda, made news headlines all over Africa last month, when he married three women in a single ceremony, because he couldn’t afford to marry them separately.
According to Uganda Vision, Ssemanda, a food vendor from the town of Katabi, in Uganda’s Wakiso district, caused quite a shock when he showed up at the local parish with three women, all wearing white wedding gowns.
He told reporters on the scene that his wives all know that he isn’t doing very well financially, but they all agreed to marry him out of love. The 50-year-old added that the women aren’t jealous of each other and know that he will work very hard to support them.
“My wives are not jealous against each other. Good enough, each has got a home and I promise to work harder and support them,” the man said, adding that he opted for a single wedding ceremony because he just couldn’t afford to pay for three weddings.
His brides, 48-year-old Salmat Naluwugge, 27-year-old Jameo Nakayiza and Mastulah Namwanje, 24, were all overjoyed during the ceremony and seemed to enjoy all the attention.
Interestingly, Naluwagge has already been married to Mohammed for the last 20 years, so this was just a renewal of their marriage. The couple have five children together. If you couldn’t tell from the photo, the other two women are actually sisters, and also have children of their own.
Asked how she feels about the 3-in-1 wedding, Salmat Naluwugge told Uganda Vision: “I thank our husband for marrying us all at once; it is a sign that he will not discriminate or take sides with any of us.”

A teacher at the Ijagba Community High School, Sotubo, Sagamu, Segun Durojaiye, has been apprehended for alleged serial rape of his daughter.
The 52-year-old father was held along with his brother, Emmanuel Durojaiye, for the offence.
The victim lived with her father on Baba-Benja Street, Oreyo, Igbogbo Ikorodu.
PUNCH Metro learnt that Segun took the victim into custody after her mother died when she was an infant.
He and his second wife were said to be taking care of the girl until sometime in 2014 when the stepmother died and the victim relocated to Abuja to live with a relative.
Segun reportedly asked the victim to return home after a few months and started having sex with her, with a threat that she must not reveal the act to anyone.
It was gathered that the victim had visited her uncle, 42-year-old Emmanuel, in his apartment on Durojaiye Street in Oreyo one day when he also allegedly raped her.
Emmanuel was said to have subsequently subjected her to sexual harassment alongside her father.
Our correspondent learnt that sometime in December 2017, the girl defied the threats and confided the incestuous relationships in her stepsister, who informed their grandmother.
“The grandmother tried to manage the matter, but some residents got wind of it and involved a lawyer. The lawyer petitioned the Lagos State Police Command on behalf of the girl. The girl’s father and her uncle were arrested and the case was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba.
“The suspects confessed to have had canal knowledge of her on three occasions respectively. In the course of investigation, one Adenike, the second child of Segun, corroborated the victim’s claims. She said her sister complained to her about how their father was sexually molesting her. Adenike said she cautioned her father, but he continued. The father teaches at Ijagba Community High School,” a police source said.
The source explained that the victim told the police that her father impregnated her twice, while the uncle did once, adding that they took her to places where the pregnancies were aborted.
He said, “She said the father started having sex with her when she was 13. She was impregnated by the suspects, but the pregnancies were aborted on three occasions. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the nurses who carried out the abortions. The father and the uncle took advantage of her through constant threats.”
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Chike Oti, confirmed the incident, adding that the command had zero tolerance for sexual abuse.
He said, “The case was brought to the attention of the police through a petition and the Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, directed that the case be referred to the SCIID for discreet investigations.
‘The CP and the command have zero tolerance for all manner of sexual molestation. The command will continue to work with relevant agencies of the state government in ensuring that the rights of people, especially the girl child, are protected. Anybody caught violating, abusing or exploiting minors will be brought to justice.”
The suspects were arraigned before a Yaba Chief Magistrate’s Court on Monday on eight counts bordering on assault, rape and abortion.
The charges read in part, “That you, Segun Durojaiye of Baba-Benja Street, Oreyo, Ikorodu, Lagos, and Emmanuel Durojaiye of 10 Durojaiye Street, Oreyo, Ikorodu, did conspire among yourselves to commit felony,- to wit: having unlawful intercourse with a 16-year-old girl.
“That you, Segun Durojaiye, sometime between 2014 and 2017 did have unlawful sexual intercourse with one 16-year-old, your daughter, impregnated, and procured abortion on her, thereby committing an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 145(2) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.
“That you, Emmanuel Durojaiye, sometime between 2014 and 2017 did have unlawful sexual intercourse with one 16-year-old, your niece, impregnated her, and procured abortion on her, thereby committing an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 145(2) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The presiding magistrate, Oluwatoyin Oghre, granted the accused bail in the sum of N1m each with two sureties each in like sum.
She said one of the sureties should be a Level 15 civil servant who had a titled document or a traditional ruler, adding that the sureties must show evidence of three years’ tax payments to the state government.
She ordered that the duplicate case file be sent to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions and adjourned the case till March 12, 2018.
The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) says all ladies who have stretch marks, bleached skins and surgery cuts will be automatically dismissed from their recruitment program, BBC reports.
The agency’s spokesman Michael Amoako-Attah said the selection criteria was necessary to ensure the staff’s safety and wellbeing:
“If you have bleached skin or surgical marks on your body during training exercises you may incur some bleeding and that wouldn’t help or augur well for the safety of the applicant because we have seen it before and as much as possible we should avoid re-occurrence.”

Those who believe that polygamy reduces life expectancy are wrong! They are not speaking from experience. Many factors influence life expectancy. In some countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, etc, there is the problem of poverty and illiteracy. Because of that, people are not able to take care of their children well.
I read an article on WhatsApp written by an expert. The article notes that those who practise polygamy live longer than those who practise monogamy. I agree.
How do you manage rivalry among your wives?
This is our culture. It depends on who they are. Sometimes, they manage to live together peacefully but sometimes, they quarrel among themselves. From my experience, what often leads to such a quarrel is the inability or refusal of the younger ones to submit to the leadership of the older ones.
But in some cases, they live peacefully with one another, such that you would not believe that they are married to the same husband.
Do you drink?
Alcohol? No, I only drink water and soft drinks from time to time but certainly not alcohol.

This is basically from our genes. My grandfather died at the age of 105. My father died at the age of 96, while my mother died at the age of 87. Longevity is peculiar to our family. I still have well over 500 relations apart from my grandchildren.

A National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, member has been shot dead in Akwa Ibom State.
A statement issued on Monday by the police in the state confirmed the Corps member was shot on Sunday in Eket by unknown assailants who were on a motorcycle.
The police spokesperson in the state, Bala Elkana, said the late Corps member was at Akanimo Street with other Corps members whom he went visiting when he was shot.
The police didn’t disclose the victim’s name but said he was serving at a public school at Nung Obong in Nsit Ubium Local Government Area of the state.
“The Commissioner of Police in the state, Adeyemi Ogunjemilusi, has deployed a special force from the State Criminal Investigation Department to Eket to investigate the killing.
“The police chief, who is said to have visited the crime scene, assured that those behind the killing would be apprehended and brought to justice,” the PPRO said.

The Saudi Arabia government has announced that the Sports stadiums in the country will open their doors to women to attend football matches for the first time ever on Friday.
The ministry of information said in a statement; “The first match that women will be allowed to watch will be Al-Ahli versus Al-Batin in the capital Riyadh, on Friday, Jan. 12”.

A Nigerian man has taken to social media to narrate how he caught his cheating fiance and then called off their marriage after visiting her for Christmas.

“Around 23rd of Dec 2017, i travelled from benin to my hometown in Anambra state for the Christmas holiday. While on the way i called my fiancee who stays in Onitsha with her parents, i asked her if we could lodge in a hotel when i get to onitsha so i can continue my journey to my hometown the next day.
She told me she can’t sleepover as her parents won’t let her ( as she was expected to cook the next day). So we agreed that when i get to onitsha i will come pick her up and drop her back in the evening.
So when i got to onitsha i went straight to her house. And with the permission of parents , i went out with her (her parents knows me ).
We went to a nice hotel in onitsha where i booked a room #9,500 (lodging). We relaxed have some drinks and food. We talked about how our wedding will be. I wanted the wedding to hold around June this year , but she wanted it early. We had a nice time together as it has been months since we haven’t seen.
After some hours together, she said she has to go as her parents would be expecting her. I told her i will drop her and from there head to my hometown. She asked me what about the room i paid for lodging… i told her that we would have to return the key as i cannot sleepover in the room all alone when i know i can still reach my hometown if i leave now. As a smart girl (which she feels she is), she told me that if the hotel workers finds out that I’m leaving,they would just put someone else in the room and pocket the money to themselves (in my mind then i was like that’s their luck then).
As we were about to leave the room , i wanted to return the key, but she suggested i leave the key inside the room and just jam the door so they wouldn’t know that we have left until the next day. I asked her why didnt she want the workers to make gain from it; she said the workers didn’t attend to us well, that they were forming big girls. I did as she suggested, jammed the door and we left. I dropped her up in her street and left immediately for my hometown (that was around 6:00pm)
While on route to my hometown i met a heavy traffic jammed around nkpor junction. After an hour or so in traffic, i decided to go back to the hotel and spend the night , and continue my journey on the early morning of the next day, so as to bypass the traffic.
When i got to the hotel (around 8pm) , i walked straight to the room i earlier booked. But when i tried to open the door…i found out that it was locked. Angrily, i walked down to query the receptionist on why she should put someone else in the room when i never told her that I’m done with it.
But to my astonishment, she told me she didn’t give the room out to anybody. She called one of the security guard to accompany us to the room to find out who the intruder is.
When we got the door, the receptionist knocked . A young boy on his underpants opened the door and asked what the matter was. The receiptionist asked to find out when and how he got the room. The young boy went in and brought out the receipt of payment bearing my name .
At that moment i sensed what could be up, so i pushed the door open and got in, nobody was in the room . i tried to open the bathroom, and noticed it was locked from the inside (In my mind i prayed to God let it not be what I’m thinking).
After several knock on the bathroom door, the person behind the door finally opened it. Behold it was my fiancee (ex-fiancee now). I was shocked .
I was so furious that i felt like giving her a sound slap. She was just crying and couldn’t say a word (what would she say? She was caught in the act). I called her mother that night to inform her of what happen, she was shocked too. She said she call her on phone and told her she would be spending the night with me as we were setting plans for our upcoming wedding.

Well, the beautiful actress has now reacted to the viral news.
She has now taken to her Instagram page to share above picture of herself and her husband studying the bible.
According to her, it is nobody’s business if she deletes photos on her Instagram page.

Archbishop Emeritus of the Catholic archdiocese of Lagos, Anthony Cardinal Olubunmi Okogie, has become the latest public figure in the country to slam President Muhammadu Buhari over his plans to seek a second term in office come 2019.
Earlier in the week, reports that the President had appointed the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, as director general of his 2019 re-election campaign, went rival.
The Minister of Communication, Barrister Adebayo Shittu had also told State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa, on Wednesday in Abuja after a closed-door meeting with Buhari that ardent supporters of the President would prevail on him to seek re-election.
Although Shittu acknowledged that Buhari was undecided about seeking a second term, political analysts believe the kite is being flown by the President’s handlers to gauge the peoples’ pulse on the matter.
Reacting to the subtle plans by Buhari to purportedly run for a second term, Cardinal Okogie said it is an insult on Nigerians, judging the President’s woeful performance since assuming office almost three years ago.
Speaking in an interview with The New Telegraph, Cardinal Okogie advised the President, who recently clocked 75, to respect himself and retire quietly from politics at the end of his first tenure in 2019.
He said:
“What has he done in the years he had been in the saddle? He has performed woefully; that’s the verdict of Nigerians. Let the president respect himself and retire quietly. Coming out to talk of 2019 is insulting not only to those who voted him to power but to all Nigerians. There are so many problems confronting the people and he should be thinking of what to do about them. For second term, he must be a joker. That is all I can say for now because I don’t want to dignify them with a lengthy statement. It is not worth it”.
Kano State’s Governor Umar Ganduje’s daughter, Fatima Ganduje who is engaged to the only son of Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi, Abolaji, was cautioned by her followers after she shared photos of her ‘uncovered hair’ on social media.
