British-Nigerian actor, John Boyega, had his Christmas and New Year holiday in Nigeria and thereafter went on Twitter on January 3rd to express his sadness after he couldn’t find a wife.
Boyega tweeted,
”Holiday coming to an end and no wife. I really don’t get it” he tweeted
In light of these, some sharp shooting Nigerian ladies have now stormed his page to sell their market – some even gave him suggestions of Nollywood actresses he could engage himself with.
According to an Attorney, Lee Merritt, the young beautiful girl -Leah had attended a New Year’s Eve party with her boyfriend, and she had been drinking.
When her boyfriend’s eye was injured, Leah rode with him to a local emergency room and fell asleep in the car while he went inside for treatment.
Merritt alleges that Leah woke up when a while male officer she identified as Officer Wood dragged her from the car and “banged her face into the concrete while accusing her of DUI”.
“She was taken to jail and was further physically assaulted by the officer she identified by his badge as Officer Wood as she tried to explain she was not driving, she doesn’t know how to drive, this was not her car,” Merritt wrote. “Leah was not charged with DUI. She was instead mis-charged with public intoxication in a bizarre attempt to justify her unlawful arrest.”
Merritt has called for the officer in question to be terminated and charged with a crime.

Forget Shatta Wale, Starboy Wizzy might just have another non-fan in neighboring country, Ghana, in the person of a Popular Journalist – prominent member of Ghana’s New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko.
Asare criticised the organisers of the CAF Awards for sidelining Ghanaian artistes at the event which was hosted in Accra on last Thursday, 4th January 2018.
The Journalist who was present at the event, took to his Facebook shortly after the event and wrote:
“Almost a perfect programme at the CAF Awards soiled by lack of local content. But why, they couldn’t find any Ghanaian musician? Pathetic!
Instead of treating us to some good Ghanaian performances, as well, CAF decided to populate the stage with Naija ones plus others, including a Nigerian artiste who was dressed as if he lost his way to the gym. I hear he is called Wizkid.”

Osarekhoe said that the sisters returned unhurt and were received by the colleagues.
The mystery behind the reign of terror of killer cult group known as badoo in Ikorodu area of Lagos, is gradually unfolding following the recent arrest of five suspected key members of the sect.
The group started its operations late 2016 with pockets of killings in different communities within Ikorodu. By 2017, its name, badoo was not only established but the gruesome murder of defenseless and helpless residents also established the killing as ritual purpose related. .
Its members killed at will, without consideration to the age or sex of victims. In one of the instances, a grandmother with her two grandchildren were murdered in cold blood in their sleep. The entire members of several families were also wiped out by these evasive killers.
The sanctity of worship centres like the church were disregarded as members of the blood thirsty group killed some victims right inside the centres. One baffling aspect of its operation was that none of its victims nor members of the neigbourhood where they invade was usually awake during the operation.
Residents only woke up to discover the lifeless bodies of victims in their rooms with their head smashed. At a point, residents concluded badoo members were invincible beings.
But with the latest arrest of Igwe Chibuzor (20), Obamoyegun Omotayo (45), Samuel Ameze (38), his wife Gift, and Adebayo Fatai (34), it has been established that members the group are human beings after all. The arrest however, revealed the use of diabolical means in the group’s operation.
What gave the gang away
From the confessional statements of the arrested suspects, it was revealed that badoo members operated only at midnight while every one would have retired to bed. Also, during operation, they would spray a powdery substance within the targeted building. The powdery substance which was given to them by their herbalist was expected to put victims to deep sleep.
The powdery substance was also sprayed close to buildings around the targeted building to avoid any intrusion during operation.
Thereafter, they would smash their victim’s head with a grinding stone, and dab their white handkerchiefs in victim’s blood before leaving the scene. But Vanguard gathered that the only antidote to this charm is when a victim wakes up at the time members storm the apartment, or sets his or her eyes on members.
On December 30, 2017, the trio of Omotayo, Chibuzor and Ameze stormed a building at Alajo close , Abule Osoru in Ibeshe community in Ikorodu to carry out their usual operation. They had succeeded in smashing the head of the breadwinner, Shakiru Yekini (38) with their arsenal- the grinding stone.
Unfortunately for them, his wife who had gone to ease herself was just entering the room when she beheld the assailants. Her scream alerted neighbours, particularly members of a vigilante group established by the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Police Command, Imohimi Edgal.
They also used the same stone on the woman and her 11-year-old son, Samat and dabbed their white handkerchiefs in the victims blood before leaving the scene. However, in their rush, one of them, Chibuzor was abandoned while others zoomed off in their operational vehicle. He was subsequently apprehended and handed over to the police, while the victims who were found in the pool of their blood were rushed to the hospital.
Sadly, the breadwinner was confirmed dead on arrival but his widow and son were still being treated at the Lagos State Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, following the severe bodily harm inflicted on them.
Grinding stones
We drink water used to wash dead bodies during ritual
Another starling revelation about these killers is that they usually performed rituals before, during and after each operation. This was disclosed by Chibuzor in his confessional statement to the Police. Determined to put an end to the reign of terror of the sect, Chibuzor, on the directive of CP Edgal, led an advance party of operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad , SARS, including the Commander, CSP Muhammed Sanusi, to identify the shrine where members were fortified spiritually.
Thereafter, Edgal with a joint operatives of the Rapid Response Squad and Lagos Task Force personnel, stormed the shrine in Imosan area of Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state, Tuesday. The native doctor alleged to be carrying out the spiritual work on the suspects, Adebayo Fatai (34) was subsequently arrested and his shrine demolished on the directive of the CP with the consent of the community leader.
Some grinding stones similar to that used by members of the group were recovered in the shrine. Crime Guard reliably gathered that members got the grinding stones, took them to the shrine where rituals known as ipakuare were performed on them. The ritual, as gathered, was meant to snuff life out of victims immediately. However, any victim who was able to sight members of the gang before they were attacked were likely to survive it except their heads were smashed more than four times.
Members also went through series of rituals to enable them escape scenes of operation whenever alarm was raised. Before the operation, members were advised to abstain from having sex with their spouses, as that could erode the potency of the rituals and thereby give them away.
In an interview with Chibuzor who claimed to have joined the group in June 2017, he revealed that an oath of secrecy was also taken inside the Imosan, Ogun state shrine. Blaming his indulgence on his desperation to eke a living, he said :”never in my wildest imagination did I envisage I would be involved in this. In my search for a job, I approached Mr Omotayo. He told me to be patient that he would get one for me. But he said that before he would give me the job as a driver, he would first take me somewhere for an oath of loyalty.
“We drove to Ogun state, where three of us: myself, himself and Samuel were administered the oath. Thereafter, we went through another round of rituals. Part of the ritual entailed drinking of water used to wash dead bodies.
Thereafter, the priest would say some incantations before rubbing some oily substance from a calabash on us. We were also made to drink concoctions prepared with animals’ blood. I was told that the rituals were meant for protection. The water used to wash dead bodies was meant to prevent the spirit of those killed from harming us.
“The first operation I went with them after the rituals was the house of a man we later learnt was a Pastor, on December 25, 2017. After the operation, I was given N20,000 and the deceased’s phone. But I gave the phone to my elder brother, Uche. Few days later, we went for another operation where a woman saw us and raised the alarm. I was arrested not because I violated any of the instructions given by the herbalist but because I was left behind and I did not know the terrain.”
Vandal turned badoo leader
During preliminary investigation, suspected leader of the gang, Obamoyegun Omotayo, according to Police sources was discovered to be a former pipeline vandal. He was however forced to stop the illegal activity when the heat by security operatives became unbearable, as well as the resultant death of several vandals during the bombardment of their creeks in Arepo, Ogun state and Ikorodu, Lagos by the Nigerian Air Force, last year.
His arrest and alleged involvement in the killings of several residents within Ikorodu axis came as a rude shock to many. This is because the 45-year-old father of two was well known in Agbowa community, as he owns a block industry there while the street where he lived was named after him.
Saturday Vanguard was reliably informed that he usually went out between 9pm and 10pm whenever there was an operation, to a pub where other members converged before setting out for their target’s abode as from midnight. At times they would meet in a hotel around Ikorodu from where they set out. On his way back from the operation, he was usually allowed passage within the area because of his popularity.
Badoo Chief Herbalist, Fatai Adebayo alias Alese arrested by the Lagos Police at his shrine in Imosan Village, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, on Tuesday
Information also revealed that after the last operation, where Chibuzor was left behind, he found his way back home owing to his mastery of the terrain, driving past members of local vigilante whom he cheerfully greeted and hailed for their effort at keeping the axis calm. To cover his track, when the heat on the group was getting unbearable, Saturday Vanguard learned that he sold his Pathfinder jeep which was allegedly used during the operation, sometimes last year
How he was arrested
When he got wind of the arrest of Chibuzor, his driver, he reportedly went into hiding on the water around Ikorodu, pretending to be a fisherman. His wife was said to have contacted him, informing him that the Police came looking for him. From his hiding place, he reportedly contacted one of the community leaders to ascertain the reason for the Police visit. The community leader (names withheld) revealed that it was in connection with the attack on a family by badoo members . He also advised Omotayo to show up if he was sure that he had no hand in the attack.
Policemen were said to have been deceived by the suspect’s wife who said that her husband had gone for a burial ceremony in Ogun state when they visited his home. But his telephone was tracked to the river, where under cover SARS operatives on the directive of the CP , eventually arrested him while attempting to escape.
During interrogation, Police sources disclosed that he admitted to being a member of the deadly group. He also confessed that his role during any operation was to spray the powdery substance which puts victims to sleep. He further stated that it was his responsibility to dip handkerchiefs on victims blood.
But he also claimed to be a mere errand boy and that the handkerchiefs were given to some persons whose names he did not mention. Earlier investigation revealed that the handkerchiefs were sold to some politicians and eminent personalities within and outside Lagos State. The blood stained handkerchiefs were thereafter used for money rituals and protection. Each handkerchief reportedly sold for N500,000 to the end user.
Impeccable security source disclosed that some names had been mentioned as ‘big boys ‘ behind badoo cult. Already, some of them had left Lagos and the country in order to evade likely arrest by the police.
A resident in Ikorodu who gave his name simply as Tunde revealed that during the naming ceremony of one of Omotayo’s children, three human skulls were found in his apartment. But when asked how the skulls found their way to his apartment , he told detectives that they were for his Ifa oracle
Woman also involved
A woman, Mrs Gift Ameze was also one of the arrested suspected badoo key members. She was paraded alongside her husband, Samuel Ameze alias Samito. Samuel’s role during operation was to break victims burglary after the powdery substance would have been sprayed. Samuel, a welder, who also has a street named after him in Agbowa village, confessed that he usually went for operation with his welding machine and iron cutter.
On the part of his pregnant wife, she confessed to be responsible for sourcing victims. Police sources said : “She would leave in the day time, look for houses that were isolated and those which terrain were difficult to access by vehicles. When she got one, she would inform the group. But she would not join them in the operation proper. When approached, the pregnant woman only gave this reporter a blank stare, refusing to speak .
We will get those behind this -Edgal
In his determination to end the reign of badoo terror in Ikorodu, CP Edgal said that investigation was still ongoing with a view to arresting everyone, no matter how highly placed they were. As first step, he has held several meetings with traditional rulers in Ikorodu, where he sought their support at eradicating the killer cult , threatening also, that he would not to spare any of them that would be found culpable.
The effect of that meeting led to the renunciation of cultism by some youths in Ikorodu and surrendering of arms and ammunitions in their possession to the Police. Also, some shrines in that axis were demolished with several arrests made during raids of the groups hideouts by operatives led by Edgal.
At the moment, a suspected badoo kingpin, Alhaji Abayomi Alaka has been declared wanted . He however claimed in a telephone conversation with Saturday Vanguard, Thursday, that he did not have any link with the killer cult group and therefore had no question to answer. But the CP insisted that he should report to the nearest police station to clear himself and also have his day in court.
Tragedy struck Sakwaya, a village in Dutse, Jigawa State, on Saturday when four teenage girls reportedly drawned in a pond while searching for firewood.
The incident occurred in the afternoon when the little girls attempted to swim across a stagnant pond at Farantama district under Albasu local government of Kano state.
The girls, Sumayya Gadi, 7, Zuwaira Abdulhamidu, 12 , Ummi Sa’adu, 11, and Gaji Sa’adu, 12, respectively, were said to have been sent on errand by their parents to fetch firewood from the neighbouring bushes when news broke to members of the village that their wards were killed.
The incident, which have thrown the members of the community into shock and mourning, has also generated debate on the root cause of the victims death.
Although all the victims corpses have been recovered and buried immediately in accordance with Islamic rite, some members of the community could not hide their reservations that the death may have been as a result of ‘probable’ course.
The police public relations officer SP Abdul Jinjiri who confirmed the incidence said four girls were first recovered by their parents and immediately buried them therefore no any autopsy was conducted on them. He however stated that from their preliminary investigation and report from their parents the girls were said to have died as a result of drawning.
A Nigerian lawyer, Stephie narrated on Micro-blogging site, Twitter, how a man called his in-laws, pastor to a meeting to report his wife after she gave him a b low job and also asked her where she learnt that skill from.
The thread on Twitter, started after a man while replying to a tweet asking why men cheat on their wives, tried to justify the act by claiming that women have little or no sex drive.
The twitter user who started it wrote;
“Many Nigerian men do not marry women with the same sex drive as they have. Also many Nigerian women have lil or no sex drive in the first place.”
Then a female user @superflycook replied ;
“Hahahahahahahhhahahahhahaha. A lot of men 1. Bore their wives. 2. Exhaust their wives with burden of house work 3. Have unrealistic expectations as to what a body that has been through childbirth looks like. But no. It’s the woman’s sex drive.”
In addition women are constantly shamed for being sexual beings in this part and yet you want her to form porn star so that you can accuse her of being unfaithful/loose. Yah.
Joining the thread, @stephie_coco had this to say;
“one time a woman gave her husband a blow job for the first time just to spice their sex life up and the man, called his in-laws to meeting amd reported his wife to them. That they should ask her where she learnt it from”
and that tweet had reactions because of the story behind it, see below;

Now we bring to you another photo which is fast going viral, and it isn’t that of a young boy, but that of a grandpa presumably between 75-80 (PRESUMABLY), who rocked his Agbada and looked dapper on it .

Michael is the fourth child of popular actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde. He talks about the life his mother leads off the stage with Toluwani Eniola.
Tell us about yourself.
I am 16 years old. I am an aspiring cinematographer and movie director.
Did your mother influence these interests?
I usually accompany my mother to movie locations. That experience attracted me to film-making and movie business in general. Anytime I watch a movie, I analyse it in a different way. Along the line, I discovered that cinematography is the right career path for me to pursue.
I have watched some movies. There is a huge difference between Nigerian and foreign movies, like the ones produced in the US and the UK. The storyline is different and the quality of the production is also different. I want to do something great with the camera. But I am not sure yet if I will shoot movies for Nollywood or be a Nollywood cinematographer. I am learning as much as I can. I might consider acting along the line as well.
What are your recollections growing up with your mother?
I have many sweet memories with my mother. One that I remember clearly is that she has always been a supportive mother and an inspiration to my academic success. I remember the first time I applied to go to secondary school. My father wanted me to begin secondary school education in good time. I applied to a secondary school when I was in primary four. Many pupils applied to the school of my choice but unfortunately, my application was not successful. Owing to a large number of applications, the school raised the cut-off point and my score was below it. I remember that my mother shouted at me but later calmed down. She encouraged me to study harder next time. She told me to be more focused and that next time, I would pass. She encouraged me to study hard, warning me that none of her family members had failed.
Does being her child put a burden on you?
I don’t think there is any burden on me on account of my mother’s feats. I am very careful about what I post on the social media so as not to be perceived wrongly.
How do you feel being the son of a popular actress?
To be quite honest, most of the time, I feel like every other child. My mother is a disciplinarian. She raised her children in a way that gave no room for one to be proud. I am not the child that will enter a place and say, “Hey, my mother is the popular actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde.” I don’t brag about my background. In fact, when I entered secondary school, I did not want anyone to know who my mother is. But they eventually found out.
How did your friends react when they knew who your mother is?
It’s a big institution and many children of prominent Nigerians attend the school. Everyone is special in a way. When my friends saw my surname, some did not actually believe I am the son of Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde. Those who didn’t believe simply justified their claim with the fact that there are many Ekeindes in Nigeria. My mother didn’t come to visit me in school regularly. My father usually accompanied me to school.
One day, my mother came to the school and my friends were surprised to know that she is my mother. She was nearly mobbed by the pupils who took turns to take pictures with her. My mother has always been a friendly person so she was excited to relate with the pupils. She said to them one after the other, “Hi, what’s your name? What class are you?” How are you doing? Even though she didn’t remember as many names as she heard. She visited me in school on special occasions such as my birthdays.
How do you feel when people call your mother omosexy?
I have no problem with that. To be honest, I have not heard people call her that in my presence.
What nickname do you call her at home?
I only call her mummy. I am only allowed to call her mummy at home.
What language does she speak to her children at home?
She speaks Yoruba to us at home. I can’t really speak Yoruba fluently. I remember a week that she didn’t speak English to any one of us. She spoke to us in Yoruba. She wanted us to learn our language.
Do you get preferential treatment from your mother as the last child?
I don’t think there is any preferential treatment for me. Yes, my mother treats me well. I was brought up to respect my siblings and behave well.
Can you share any memorable experience with your mother?
She likes to joke a lot. Whenever she plays her old school songs and I say, “Mummy, why now?,” she would say, “The songs are better than what you hear nowadays.” When she is really enjoying the songs, she begins to dance. She enjoys dancing.
Did she use the cane to correct or discipline you at any point?
She does not use the cane to discipline us but when I was much younger, she caned me on my palm. There was a Saturday she asked me if I had cleaned my room. I could not remember whether I had cleaned my room that morning or not. But I told her it was clean. She said, “okay.” I thought she would quietly go to her room but she went straight to my room to confirm. She was mad at me for not telling her the truth.
Tell us the Nigerian artistes she likes.
She likes Falz and Kiss Daniel. She also likes classical music and old Nigerian songs especially those produced in the 90s. I know some of the songs but I don’t know the name of the singers.
Which of her movies is your father’s favourite?
He likes all her movies. But I enjoyed “The Last Flight to Abuja” the most.
Who is stricter between your father and mother?
I think my mother is stricter. My mother told me the story of her life when she was growing up. She was heavily influenced by her mother who she described as strict. She told us that before she did anything wrong, her mother punished her ahead. My father is softer in some cases.
Does your mother’s name earn you preferential treatment from your teachers?
No, they don’t treat me specially. My teachers are her fans. They always check her Instagram page and tell me what they see there. I remember that they once talked about a picture of my father and mother at the gym.
What biggest gift did your mother give you?
My mother has given me many things but the one I value the most is a camera because it’s valuable to my aspiring career. I have also gone for a film course. In the area of career choice, my mother didn’t force any of us to do anything. My mother and father have always supported our ambitions.
For instance, my first sister, Princess, has always admired the hospitality business and management. She was excited when my mother helped her to secure a placement of two or three weeks at the Eko Hotel and Suites. That exposed her to standards in the hospitality industry. When my brother, Captain E, mentioned that he wanted to do music, my parents supported him. For instance, he supported him with equipment.
She also helps him to call any artiste he wishes to work with. When she called those artistes on his behalf, she usually tells them to work with him only if they are satisfied with the quality of his works. My sister, Meraiah, has always wanted to do fashion and styling. She also uses her connection to link her with other great people in the industry and getting her sewing machines.
Considering your privileged background, do you always get everything you ask from your mother?
No. She taught us to be content with what we have. I once told her to get me a car. She shook her head, laughed and said, “You are not serious.”
What major advice has she given you?
My mother always emphasises the need to be straightforward in life. She dislikes dishonesty and encourages me to be disciplined. My parents advised us that life is not a bed of roses. They encouraged us to be determined and tackle any hardship that comes to our ways.
What are the things people don’t know about your mother?
My mother is a prayer addict. You need to see her Bible. Many people don’t know she is from a Muslim background. She was a Muslim. She converted to Christianity when she was in secondary school or thereabouts. She is also very close to God and attributes her success to Him.
Who are your mother’s role models?
I don’t think she has any role model. The last time I asked her, she told me she is her own role model. But she respects many other people. She has a pastor she looks up to and that is Pastor Tessy.
What is her favourite food?
She likes plantain and fish. She eats lots of vegetables too.
What does your mother tease your father about?
My mother teases my father about his love for pounded yam. My father likes pounded yam so much that he doesn’t mind eating it thrice in a day. He specifically said he would be happy if he gets pounded yam thrice daily. My mother also teases my father for studying almost all the time. She encourages him to have fun. My father too teases her about her love for dancing.
How close is she to her family members?
My mother enjoys a cordial relationship with her siblings. She used to tell us about her parents. She was very close to her parents. Like I said earlier, she learnt discipline from her mother.
Which of your mum’s movies is your favourite and why?
The one I like the most is Beyonce and Rihanna. I like it because it’s funny.
How has she been able to stay off scandals?
My mother is a disciplined person. She does not associate as much as one would expect. She does not really go out. She goes out only if it’s necessary.
Who is her best friend?
Her best friend is Rukky Sanda.
Tell us about her most difficult and fulfilling moments.
I think her most difficult moment was when she lost her father. She lost her father at age 12. Her most fulfilling moment is when my father and all the children are with her.
What advice did you give her on her career?
At a point in her career, I noticed she featured regularly in gloomy movies. I remember I told her, “Mum, can you please stop acting in sad movies?” She responded with mixed reactions.
What is her favourite sport?
She hates football. She gets annoyed anytime I watch football (laughs). She likes squash and lawn tennis. She also likes watching wrestling, badminton and swimming.
She once veered into singing. Did she tell you why she stopped?
I don’t really know why she stopped singing. I think her passion for acting is stronger than singing. I was happy when she declared that she wanted to go into music. I know she can sing. I like the song she produced then. But my brother, Captain E, who is also a music producer, has been encouraging her to continue singing.
How does she relax?
My mother is a workaholic. She always has something important to do. But she likes relaxing on the couch. She visits the spas too. She also relaxes by dancing. She always forced me to dance with her. Dancing with her is not an optional thing (laughs). I think she enjoys relaxing by sending me around. She enjoys sending me around a lot. My mother could be on a couch with her phone just by her side. Yet, she would call me from a distance to give her the phone (laughs).
A Happy Nigerian man, Omo Olope bought his beautiful wife a brand new car, after she fulfilled her promise of exclusively breastfeeding their daughter for good six months.
After the birth of their daughter, the husband requested from his wife to breastfeed their daughter for 6 months, exclusively, and if of course she keeps to her end of the “promise”, he’d buy her a brand new car…
…and he fulfilled his promise.
The wife took to social media to share the good news; “A good one to start the New Year. A notorious cultist and kidnapper Mr. Igwedibia Johnson, aka Don Waney, who has been on the run since he masterminded the New Year’s Day killing of 17 worshipers after crossover service in Omoku, the headquarters of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA of Rivers State, has been killed.
He was reported killed by soldiers and operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), along with two of his lieutenants: Ikechukwu Adiele and Lucky Ode.
The body of Johnson, Adiele and Ode were on Sunday morning displayed at the 6 Division of the Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt, by the outgoing General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the division, Maj.-Gen. Enobong Udoh, who was accompanied by Rivers Director of DSS, Mr. Tosin Ajayi, and Rivers Commissioner of Police, Zaki Ahmed.
Udoh said: Intense surveillance activities on him (Johnson) and his gang by the DSS, Rivers State Command, revealed that after committing the atrocities, he relocated to a neighbourhood within Enugu Town in Enugu State, where he rented an apartment and started living among unsuspecting neighbours within the community.
“From the relative safety of his newly-rented apartment, Don Waney was already perfecting plans to wrought another mayhem in Omoku, in which he was to attack churches, schools, army and police locations and the residences of the generality of the already-traumatised people of Omoku.
“However, following his successful geo-location to his new Enugu neighbourhood hideout by the DSS, Rivers State Command, a combined team of troops of 82 Division, Nigerian Army, Enugu and personnel of DSS, Rivers State Command, raided the hideout to arrest him and his other accomplices.
“Incidentally, on sensing that the combine team were closing in on his residence, Don Waney, his Second-in-Command (Ikechukwu Adiele) and another gang member (Lucky Ode) attempted to escape through the back exit of the apartment and were shot down by the eagle-eyed troops in the process. One of them died on the spot, while the other two, who sustained gunshot wounds, eventually died, while being evacuated for medical attention.
“The remains of Don Waney and his cohorts were brought back to Port Harcourt by the combine team and handed over to the Rivers State Police Command, for further action.”
While also speaking, Rivers police commissioner assured residents of the state of the safety of their lives and property, declaring that other members of Johnson’s gang and other criminals in Rivers would be arrested and prosecuted, to serve as a deterrent to other criminal-minded persons.

Following the whole drama, Maryam has today, publicly apologized via her IG page, to Mercy Aigbe, for the embarrassment the whole thingy must have caused her.
Maryam also apologized to Lawrentta whom she says has been avoiding to speak with her. Both apologies below:
To Aigbe,
Dear Mercy Aigbe @realmercyaigbe, I am sorry I haven’t been in touch since the the dress incident. I was actually out of town with limited internet access.
I know I owe you an apology and actually I would like to do it in person and explain so we can resolve the issue.
Neither you nor the bride deserved what happened. This is not my proudest moment ever. I feel so terrible for what this has caused you as well, especially seeing the comments and knowing that majority believe you were at fault here, which isn’t the case. This is so sad.
Once again, please accept my apology. I will continue to apologise to you and my other client, the bride. I hope we can sit and talk about it.
Thank you, Maryam Elisha
And to Lawrentta…
Dear Lawrentta @rettypety, I apologise once again for the pain and inconvenience you have suffered these past days and I will continue to do so untill we talk I have tried severally to reach you privately all in vain that’s why I’m back on IG again for on this, I would appreciate if you would open a means of communication so we can resolve the matter. Thank you, Maryam Elisha.
Maryam also shared screenshots of her previous conversations with Lawrentta;
Newly-weds, BankyW and Adesua Wellington shared their amazing love story in an exclusive DSTV broadcast tagged, The Wellingtons, which aired this evening.
Banky and Adesua shared with their fans, on how they met, their engagement and preparations for their wedding.
Banky said he first met Adesua in 2015 and after inquirying about her from her manager, Isioma, he went online to search for her and found her social media handles.
“I looked her up online and I liked what I saw. I googled her, stalked her on the gram and a day or two later, I slid into her DM like the real man that I am”
Adesua said Banky’s first message to her made her laugh
“if you can make me laugh, I can almost guarantee that we are going to get along and his first message made me laugh”
Banky said he had two defining moments about marrying Adesua when they were still dating.
“I had two defining moments with Adesua. One was before we started speaking. It was actually when I was stalking her and I saw a video of her and her childhood friends singing worship songs and I felt like this is really refreshing to find someone in our line of work that would readily show this part of them. The second part when I knew was when we took a private trip somewhere and it was the first time that she danced with me and at this point, I already knew she was a spiritual girl and a praying woman. But if i can confess, I was a little bit worried that when it comes to the turnups and the fun, I wasnt sure if she would be free like that and the very first time she danced with me, they were playing Rihanna’s “Work” and she danced with me. Ladies and Gentlemen, once you have the spiritual and physical, you close shop, you move”
Adesua says when Banky proposed to her, it was an instant Yes
“It was an instant Yes. I didnt even think twice about it”
Mrs Wellington says she wasn’t looking out to date or even marry anyone in the entertainment Industry but when Banky K came along, he changed her perception and made her change her decision
“I wasn’t planning on getting married to anyone in the industry … And here comes this one (Banky), and he completely shatters all my plans” she said
Banky on his part also said he wasn’t really looking out to date a lady from the entertainment industry. He says he was a bit worried in the beginning of their relationship but that God made him understand that it is not in the career of the person but it is the the person themselves.
“I wasn’t specifically looking for an entertainer as a wife because of what I presumed, but she took me off the balance” He says he is glad he married Adesua because she understands his business and the pressure that comes with it.
On why they had their traditional wedding in Lagos and not in Benin city, Adesua said “All my family members are in Lagos. Every one of them”. They say they opted for Lagos so as to make it convenient for everyone who wanted to be at their wedding.
Apparently, Banky had an idea that his close friend, Ebuka’s Agbada would make news. On the eve of their traditional wedding, Banky mentioned to Ebuka that hope he would not be coming to the wedding with the stylish Agbada as he will be turned back.
Banky had asked Ebuka if hiss Agbada was finer than his, Ebuka replied ”it might be”
On the day of the wedding when Ebuka stepped out in the Agbada, Banky jokingly told him to leave the venue.
On their wedding day in South Africa, Adesua described it as the Happiest day of her life.
Banky says the prayer is that their relationship would be more prefect than the wedding.
Starboy, Wizkid and Nigerian big boy, Hushpuppi, had a coincidental choice of Gucci sweat shirt, as both donned a bright yellow one which had the inscription ‘blind for love’ on it.
A follower chose innocently sides and felt the singer rocked the shirt better… only thing is, he wasn’t asked for his opinion and so this caused the big boy to erupt so bitterly that he called the fan a “bastard”… ouch!
Somebody please pass the tissue paper, this bride has us shedding joyful tears after these lovely photos of her leaving the hospital in a wheelchair for her wedding, emerged online.
The stunning bride, who’s had a taste of tragedy few weeks before her wedding as she was involved in an accident which had her hospitalized – but she’s such a fighter that she wouldn’t let that setback stop her from having her day of joy.
A photographer, who’d taken her pre-wedding photos shared her story on social media… and we’re literally in need of tissues.
Read below, with lovely photos…
Earlier today our reporter was amazed by what she saw, I must say all my years of photography I’ve never seen a scene like this, to her it was touching and heart melting, yes she got it right because you can’t imagine a bride of her type or fashion will take to the aisle with a perfect man, yes I call him the perfect husband he is a rare gem a man of honor, he is the man for 2018, he said it and he saw to it that it came to pass
I was in the studio when they walked in to take their pre-wedding pictures, a handsome man who is ready to settle with his beautiful bride, not up to a week the next call I received was that she had an accident and someone whispered to me that the marriage won’t happen again I had to think for a while but I told her it will definitely work.
Today history repeated itself again as the bride was rolled from Federal Medical Centre Lokoja in her wheelchair, you could see smiles on the faces of other patients in the ward their hope came alive and they were filled with joy.
In yet another episode of social media funk, with this being the most controversial one we’ve all six days of this new year, a Ghanaian lady on Facebook has bragged about her sexual encounter with a guy and it’s explicit!
The lady, who’s been identified as Angel Agbetornyo, had taken to social media to share how she got down with one Sparrow Gh – according to her, Sparrow gives good head but is an early c-ummer.
The screenshots of a chat she had with someone, revealed how she missed him giving her head (excuse our French btw) cause according to her, he’s good at it, but his only default is that he spills too early and this is because she has a lit ‘fanny’… oh well…
Sparrow on the other hand, after discovering about this, is quite pissed as he won’t let anyone spoil his rep – knowing himself that he’s not an early “spiller”, he also took to social media to debunk the claims and actually threatens her too… which has us a bit worried though… take it easy Sparrow, take it easy…
This photo of Davido sleeping with his mouth open by a lady, was taken some years back and two lovers have decided to recreate the infamous photo of the musician.
It really is hilarious as the lovers perfectly recreate the photo that made the singer a laughing stock few years back.
Yeah well, even the gods like what’s good, don’t they?
These adorable photos of a Nigerian masquerade with his lovely boo, is currently melting hearts online and we’re sure you’re going “awwwn” right about after seeing the photos, init?
His boo is all smiles in one of the photos as he lifts her in his arms but his mask won’t let us see his facial expression but we know for sure that in this case… ‘the gods must be romantic‘… get it?
Barcelona have signed Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho in a club-record transfer. Mirror UK reports.
According to the report, the English football club have settled on an agreement for the Brazilian for an initial fee of €120million (£106.4m), with a further €40m (£35.5m) in add-ons.
It is the second-most expensive transfer of all-time, trailing the £198million PSG paid Barcelona for Neymar last summer – and it is the most money ever received by an English club.
Coutinho will pen a five-year deal, with the Catalan giants likely to give him an extension in the summer to ensure his deal does not run out mid-season.
He was spotted in London on Saturday preparing to jet to Barcelona and link up with his new club.
Chidinma Clement, the female motorcycle mechanic whose images went viral in December has opened up to LFBONLINE on why she chose the male dominated profession.
Born into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Obinwanne Clement, from umuokoro village, Isialangwa South LGA, Abia State. Chidinma, a final year student of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture disclosed lot about her personality, life experience, challenges, passion for her work and many more to LFBONLINE.
When asked about her journey into being a motorcycle mechanic, she said : “I’ve always loved to solve a problem especially when it concerns dismantling and coupling, even a little girl. There’s this joy I found inside, whenever I’m doing it. I started motorcycle repairing when I was 13years,that’s about 10years ago under the tutelage of my father”.
She further informed our correspondent that while ladies generally see mechanic as a dirty job, she’s very comfortable working with Spanners.
“I don’t see it as a dirty job. When I got admitted into the University I thought I would stop it because of the series of advice I received from my friends and others who call me all sorts of names, Some of my friends advised that I learn hairdressing in order to help myself in school rather than mechanic, but I noticed that I was unhappy doing other stuffs and the truth is I don’t understand anything that doesn’t have to do with Spanners and Engine. So I dropped all their advices for what makes me happy”.
When asked about challenges she face in the profession, she was quoted saying: “It has not been easy, coming from a family of nine and my mother not been there for me, I suffered a lot in school, just to put a smile on my father’s face. I have been humiliated, embarrassed for doing this job, but the God has been my sole strength”.
Adding that, she also look ahead venturing into more sophisticated engineering work.
“As a motorbike mechanic, it is not everyone that use bike. In some parts of the state motorcyclist have been banned, which means this job might fade away with time. So I’m looking at the future. I really want to advance in other area. I will like to get more knowledge but it must be something that has to do with dismantling and coupling”.
Beautiful Chidinma Clement, also spoke about her encounter with the Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
“Meeting my amiable governor Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, I must say, was divine intervention. I was invited to Abia women summit on that 22nd of December but I never knew I will meet him and he was really a calm man”.
Knowing fully well that there are millions of females out there who are struggling to make ends meet, Chidinma, dropped a piece of advice.
“My advice to females out there is that they should not wait for any man or woman to help them before they help themselves. You have to make a move. You have to believe in yourself .Don’t allow people’s idea and opinion to make you feel bad. You must be mocked, embarrassed and humiliated but you must hold on to God. Those that mock you must come to congratulate you. When you hope on relatives, friends and family they must fail because you are supposed to Hope on God and not human. You may not know who loves you and who wants you to go forward. So avoid all distractions and stay focused” she advised.

So Nigerian singer, Adekunle Silverexcuse me, Gold, Adekunle Gold, is on the verge of facing a lawsuit after he wrongly used the chemical symbol for Gold, Au.
Sharing photos of himself on his Twitter page, Gold captioned it “Mood for life. AG” – well, a tweep was quick to comment that he wrongly used the Chemical symbol for element, gold… you know.. since he has ‘gold’ in his name and blah blah blah and stated he probably ‘skip‘ his chemistry classes.
Gold then hinted that the “AG” just might be the initials for his name, ‘Adekunle Gold’ but this tweep wee not gree oh… that’s how he said as a Chemistry student, he just might sue Gold for his ‘element abuse’… Gold didn’t let the tweep’s English blunder slide btw.
