In a sneak preview shared on his Instagram page earlier today, Davido was seen playing the role of a highly skilled commercial pilot.
Another Nigerian singer that starred in the movie is Majek Fashek, whose music career Davido’s character tries to revive.
From the brief preview, it is too early to say if Davido made a good impression still, we’d be keeping our fingers crossed till when the movie is finally released.
Other singers who have branched into Nollywood include Banky W, Ikechukwu, Vector and 2Baba; who knows, we may begin to see more star singers try their skills on acting.

Media Personality Denrele Edun who recently revealed the reasons why he didn’t get to marry his ex-girlfriend, Yvonne, has taken to social media to talk about his relationship with popular blogger, Linda Ikeji.
The popular OAP shared an old photo of himself and the blogger and disclosed how Linda always helped him with cash anytime he goes broke, way back in the University.
He added that Linda Ikeji is one of the most outstanding personalities that have affected him in life.
He wrote:
“#FlashbackFriday to 2nd Semester Exams with @officiallindaikeji in Unilag where we had just cremated an English Major course. This was in 2002. But the real reason I’m posting this picture (Linda actually wanted it in Sepia mode even though I wanted it in colour) is to hail my Day1! LINDA IKEJI is still one of the most exquisitely amazing women I have had the utmost blessing of knowing!
Just after class and exams, Linda wil grab my Higher Education note and slip money in the middle; She always knew when I was stuck (which was everyday, anyways) and if I couldn’t afford Campus shuttle from Education Dept to Main Campus, she will walk the entire length with me…In neck breaking stilettos! Before we took this picture, someone made a joke about my fake TShirt right in front of the Arts Faculty. Saying i was always wearing fake sh*t and stuff…And I should get a life. Linda looked the person up and down, flipped her long braids over her shoulder and told me to be grateful for the gift of LIFE! Life is a series of thousands of tiny miracles. Notice them.”

It’s being reported newly that at the early hours of Sunday the 7th, an ‘angel’ from heaven appeared in the skies while a fasting and marathon praying session was being held at Prophet Samuel Akinbodunse’s Freedom For All Nations in Pretoria, South Africa.
According to the report now making rounds online, the congregation, intrigued by the ‘divine sight’, put their prayers on hold to go take pictures of the stagnant ‘angel’ who apparently didn’t flap his wings or anything but stayed still in the sky for people to take photos… like he’s some model of some sort… #sigh #pathetic
Their report reads…
During a fasting and a 24 hours marathon prayers with Prophet Samuel Akinbodunse at Freedom For All Nations in Pretoria, South Africa, an Angel appeared in the early hours of Sunday at the 18th hour of the programme at about 6am.
The congregation rushed to have a look and photos were taken. The image caught on camera in full glare of everybody is causing an uproar and has become the talk of the town.
It would be recalled that he made a list of 15 prophecies for 2018 and presently, two of it has been fulfilled.
One of it which include the confession of A south African pastor who uses charm to grow His church and also have wealth, and the death of a popular man of God based in Abuja.
Nigerian Journalist, CEO and publisher of Ovation International has made a U-turn on his support for President Buhari as he revealed that it was indeed shameful that the people who supported the President when he (Buhari) was campaigning for office have now become the butt of abuses, slanders and jokes .
The former staunch supporter of President Buhari wrote ;
My dear President, please, permit me to wish you and your family a very happy new year. Let me also offer my words of prayers, and intercession, on behalf of your very handsome son, and his friend, who, according to reports, were involved in a terrible power-bike crash.
I pray that God almighty will grant them full recovery and I believe my prayer is already answered because of my presence in the Holy Land of Jerusalem.
Now to the business of the day. Kindly permit me to be as brutally frank as possible. As a stakeholder who made his modest contribution to your emergence as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, I owe you nothing but the truth.
I was not a member of your party when I volunteered to support your mission and ambition in 2015. I was elated when Nigerians succeeded in chasing away the profligate and reckless government of the PDP, led by President Goodluck Jonathan.
I was one of those who unleashed terror on that government and I subsequently presented you with a compilation of my articles in which I criticised and advised the then President, free of charge. I never expected that our situation could ever get worse under the APC government that almost literally promised heaven and earth. But it has become evident that it is easier to govern by words of mouth than by force of action.
It is indeed shameful that those like me who supported you so vociferously have become butts of jokes everywhere we go. Sir, I plead with you to ignore your acolytes who may be telling you that all is well in Nigeria. My unequivocal verdict, without any fear of contradiction is that things are very bad. While I will not, in all honesty, totally heap the blame on you, there is no doubt that your government has been less than competent.
I’m reasonably convinced that you have not availed yourself of the abundant talents it has so pleased God to endow Nigeria with. Rather, you’ve chosen to saddle yourself with hungry lions and deadwoods that you’ve resurrected from penury and oblivion. Leadership should be about managing people and resources. Most of the people you are working with are already retired or tired and with little or nothing new to contribute.
It is grossly unfair that it was very convenient for us to lampoon and scandalise Dr Goodluck Jonathan, yet most of us have remained funereally silent and unreasonably complicit in the evil that the current men of power are perpetrating and perpetuating under your watch. Unknown to you Sir, some people are merely using you to rule by proxy.
There is no evidence of discipline in your team, one of the greatest things you preached so fervently about in your first coming as military Head of State. Your acolytes are virtually getting away with murder.
Someone, somewhere, sat down with birds of the same feathers, to conjure and compile the most disgraceful list of political appointees ever and yet nothing has happened to those who brought such perfidious insults on our nation. Instead, we are being regaled with tales by the moonlight to gloss over serious maladies in the polity and damning treachery against our nation. No serious apologies. No penitence. Only some foolhardy cockiness from those who will repeat the same nonsense when tomorrow comes.
Your Excellency, it has become very difficult, if not impossible to defend the excessive shortcomings of your government, please, permit my oxymoron Sir. We definitely want you to succeed but it seems some demons are desperately determined to make you fail by all means.
The more your administration unravels, the more ridiculously hopeless it seems. You have waltzed from crisis to crisis instead of from glory to glory, as most of us expected. We thought you truly possessed the magic wand and talismanic effect to make all our problems evaporate and vamoose in a jiffy. We did not expect to be regularly mesmerised by impotent excuses galore.
I sincerely doff my hat to your wonderful wife for her rare and uncommon courage. Regardless of what her detractors may say, she is the only insider who has been trying to say it as it is. Even if some of her critics feel she’s seeking for relevance in your kingdom, it is still within her rights. I’m sure that when the day of reckoning comes, you will remember and appreciate her timely warnings.
Without mincing words, what Madam Aisha Buhari has been trying to tell you in clear terms is that this government is swimming in a big foul mess and that you should not be carried away by the fake adulation and false adoration you see all around you. There is no government in Nigeria that did not enjoy the services of praise-singers who disappeared as soon as the government itself collapsed like a pack of cards. Ask President Jonathan!
I’m aware that your foot-soldiers are already warming up for the next election. I really do not know what they hope to tell and sell to the electorate this time, particularly after the colossal failure of the last three years. I do not see how they expect to fund your campaign without resorting to the same type of extravagant jamboree we witnessed in the dying and last days of the PDP’s prodigality.
As a result of your decision to contest again, you are being forced by circumstances beyond your control to compromise and capitulate on your known principles. Is it not better, and more profitable, to return home, triumphantly, with your reputation intact than to win a pyrrhic victory with everything you ever stood for wasted on the altar of vainglorious aggrandisement? What guarantees do you have that you will win the next election even if you agree to sell Nigeria to the political gladiators?
Sir, I’m pleading with you in the name of God, the Merciful and all-powerful, that you don’t need two terms, or eight years in power, to prove your greatness. Nelson Mandela spent only one term in power and retired to superlative glory as the world’s most respected and revered and idolised statesman. Robert Mugabe spent about four decades in power, yet he returned home in total infamy and unenviable disgrace. It is a lesson of life that we must all learn, sooner rather than later, that man shall not live by power alone.
I know my preaching is not likely to touch you and your hardened supporters but, at the very least, I want it to be on record that I spoke publicly, out of genuine love and concern, while you were being goaded on by those who stand to gain more if you win a re-election next year. For most of those asking you to continue, by fire and by force, it is always about their personal agenda and survival. They know their political careers would come to a shuddering halt and abrupt standstill should you fail in your bid to come back.
In their desperation to come back at all costs, they are going to do exactly what PDP did, or even much worse. What moral authority would you then have to justify the continued detention and harassment of some of the PDP operatives accused of wasting government resources on Jonathan’s truncated re-election bid. Who amongst us can in good conscience say in the market place that you won the last election on pure merit and that no substantial government funding went into your campaigns.
This year promises to be an interesting one. You will soon discover how treacherous human beings can be when some of those hailing you today as the authentic messiah begin to show you their true colours. Our country is bleeding dangerously while some over-pampered politicians can only think of winning elections by hook or by crook.
The quality of your appointees in recent time points to how directionless your government has finally become. In a country overflowing with so many amazing brains and talents, it is incredibly shameful that those are your best representatives for our country. The easiest way for a leader to fail is to continue to attract those much worse than himself.
Conversely, the best way to succeed is for a leader to recognise and attract and surround himself with those much better in all aspects of human endeavour. This does not erase or take anything away from the leader but it actually enhances his personality and how he is perceived by everyone.
The late sage of blessed memory, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, was a veritable example of how a leader can effectively tap into the collective brains of some geniuses and add to his own in a way that makes him appear super-human.
Nigeria has never been in short supply of whiz kids at home and abroad but Nigeria started dying when our leaders stopped respecting merit and preferred to enthrone mediocrity. The truth is mediocrity begets further mediocrity.
The few good leaders in your government have not been able to display their wizardry out of fear and trepidation that some cabal would mark them out and hack them down so ruthlessly.
It is a sign of the times, that the courage, astuteness and brilliance that made them stand out in the political crowd has suddenly taken flight and they are now little more than wimps in your insipid government. The bureaucracy in Abuja is enough to suffocate and disorientate any fertile mind.
If I were in your shoes, I would consider that it is not too late to groom and propel some of the best brains in APC or even those living beyond the shores of Nigeria to succeed me. You do not need to look far in this regard but I will not make any suggestions today, lest it be misinterpreted that I am touting any particular individual as a worthy successor.
I’m reasonably convinced that you have worked very hard and seem to have reached your peak. To God be the glory. In a country of nearly 200 million people, God has been too kind to you. Apart from former President Olusegun Obasanjo, no other Nigerian has been given a second chance so miraculously. You will be able to justify this unmerited favour by leaving Nigeria much better than you met it.
The only way you can do that in the next remaining year is to sacrifice your own personal ambition and hand over the country to proven and tested modern and cosmopolitan technocrats. The world has moved beyond the backwardness that we are being saddled with in Nigeria today. The world expect us to be the true giant and leader of Africa not by words but in deed.
My appeal to you is to urgently do a self-assessment to determine and decide on whether you are what Nigeria needs at this time and age for our country to join the comity of other nations in their march towards technological advancement, political stability, social security and economic prosperity.
With all due respect, Sir, if your answer is yes to the above, you may go ahead and contest but if in all honesty, the answer is no, my prayer is that you will find the courage and selfless spirit to quit the stage while the ovation is loudest. That in itself would be a deserving legacy. I’m watching and waiting for your patriotic decision with bated breath.
Thank you, Mr President, for your usual attention and kind consideration of my latest memo to you, albeit so early in the year.
Probably feeling a lil bit nostalgic after defunct music group, Mo’Hits reunited to give an interesting performance around the end of the year, last year, singer, Wizkid took to Twitter to ask how the hit of that time, ‘Booty Call’ was made.
Wizkid wanted to be in the know of how the famous hit was made and producer of the song, Don Jazzy, decided to give the singer an inside knowledge of how the track came about.
Jazzy’s thesis is what has our ribs cracking! Read him below:
British-Nigerian actor, John Boyega, had his Christmas and New Year holiday in Nigeria and thereafter went on Twitter on January 3rd to express his sadness after he couldn’t find a wife.
Boyega tweeted,
”Holiday coming to an end and no wife. I really don’t get it” he tweeted
In light of these, some sharp shooting Nigerian ladies have now stormed his page to sell their market – some even gave him suggestions of Nollywood actresses he could engage himself with.
According to an Attorney, Lee Merritt, the young beautiful girl -Leah had attended a New Year’s Eve party with her boyfriend, and she had been drinking.
When her boyfriend’s eye was injured, Leah rode with him to a local emergency room and fell asleep in the car while he went inside for treatment.
Merritt alleges that Leah woke up when a while male officer she identified as Officer Wood dragged her from the car and “banged her face into the concrete while accusing her of DUI”.
“She was taken to jail and was further physically assaulted by the officer she identified by his badge as Officer Wood as she tried to explain she was not driving, she doesn’t know how to drive, this was not her car,” Merritt wrote. “Leah was not charged with DUI. She was instead mis-charged with public intoxication in a bizarre attempt to justify her unlawful arrest.”
Merritt has called for the officer in question to be terminated and charged with a crime.
Pink is definitely a colour that perfectly complements actress, Juliet Ibrahim‘s skin and this new photo of her in an all pink ensemble, proves it!
The actress looks every shade of gorgeous as she dons all pink everything, from the wig on her hair to the sneakers on her feet and her thigh revealing dress.. the beauty defines hotness and we’re certainly loving it!

Forget Shatta Wale, Starboy Wizzy might just have another non-fan in neighboring country, Ghana, in the person of a Popular Journalist – prominent member of Ghana’s New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko.
Asare criticised the organisers of the CAF Awards for sidelining Ghanaian artistes at the event which was hosted in Accra on last Thursday, 4th January 2018.
The Journalist who was present at the event, took to his Facebook shortly after the event and wrote:
“Almost a perfect programme at the CAF Awards soiled by lack of local content. But why, they couldn’t find any Ghanaian musician? Pathetic!
Instead of treating us to some good Ghanaian performances, as well, CAF decided to populate the stage with Naija ones plus others, including a Nigerian artiste who was dressed as if he lost his way to the gym. I hear he is called Wizkid.”

Osarekhoe said that the sisters returned unhurt and were received by the colleagues.
The mystery behind the reign of terror of killer cult group known as badoo in Ikorodu area of Lagos, is gradually unfolding following the recent arrest of five suspected key members of the sect.
The group started its operations late 2016 with pockets of killings in different communities within Ikorodu. By 2017, its name, badoo was not only established but the gruesome murder of defenseless and helpless residents also established the killing as ritual purpose related. .
Its members killed at will, without consideration to the age or sex of victims. In one of the instances, a grandmother with her two grandchildren were murdered in cold blood in their sleep. The entire members of several families were also wiped out by these evasive killers.
The sanctity of worship centres like the church were disregarded as members of the blood thirsty group killed some victims right inside the centres. One baffling aspect of its operation was that none of its victims nor members of the neigbourhood where they invade was usually awake during the operation.
Residents only woke up to discover the lifeless bodies of victims in their rooms with their head smashed. At a point, residents concluded badoo members were invincible beings.
But with the latest arrest of Igwe Chibuzor (20), Obamoyegun Omotayo (45), Samuel Ameze (38), his wife Gift, and Adebayo Fatai (34), it has been established that members the group are human beings after all. The arrest however, revealed the use of diabolical means in the group’s operation.
What gave the gang away
From the confessional statements of the arrested suspects, it was revealed that badoo members operated only at midnight while every one would have retired to bed. Also, during operation, they would spray a powdery substance within the targeted building. The powdery substance which was given to them by their herbalist was expected to put victims to deep sleep.
The powdery substance was also sprayed close to buildings around the targeted building to avoid any intrusion during operation.
Thereafter, they would smash their victim’s head with a grinding stone, and dab their white handkerchiefs in victim’s blood before leaving the scene. But Vanguard gathered that the only antidote to this charm is when a victim wakes up at the time members storm the apartment, or sets his or her eyes on members.
On December 30, 2017, the trio of Omotayo, Chibuzor and Ameze stormed a building at Alajo close , Abule Osoru in Ibeshe community in Ikorodu to carry out their usual operation. They had succeeded in smashing the head of the breadwinner, Shakiru Yekini (38) with their arsenal- the grinding stone.
Unfortunately for them, his wife who had gone to ease herself was just entering the room when she beheld the assailants. Her scream alerted neighbours, particularly members of a vigilante group established by the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Police Command, Imohimi Edgal.
They also used the same stone on the woman and her 11-year-old son, Samat and dabbed their white handkerchiefs in the victims blood before leaving the scene. However, in their rush, one of them, Chibuzor was abandoned while others zoomed off in their operational vehicle. He was subsequently apprehended and handed over to the police, while the victims who were found in the pool of their blood were rushed to the hospital.
Sadly, the breadwinner was confirmed dead on arrival but his widow and son were still being treated at the Lagos State Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, following the severe bodily harm inflicted on them.
Grinding stones
We drink water used to wash dead bodies during ritual
Another starling revelation about these killers is that they usually performed rituals before, during and after each operation. This was disclosed by Chibuzor in his confessional statement to the Police. Determined to put an end to the reign of terror of the sect, Chibuzor, on the directive of CP Edgal, led an advance party of operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad , SARS, including the Commander, CSP Muhammed Sanusi, to identify the shrine where members were fortified spiritually.
Thereafter, Edgal with a joint operatives of the Rapid Response Squad and Lagos Task Force personnel, stormed the shrine in Imosan area of Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state, Tuesday. The native doctor alleged to be carrying out the spiritual work on the suspects, Adebayo Fatai (34) was subsequently arrested and his shrine demolished on the directive of the CP with the consent of the community leader.
Some grinding stones similar to that used by members of the group were recovered in the shrine. Crime Guard reliably gathered that members got the grinding stones, took them to the shrine where rituals known as ipakuare were performed on them. The ritual, as gathered, was meant to snuff life out of victims immediately. However, any victim who was able to sight members of the gang before they were attacked were likely to survive it except their heads were smashed more than four times.
Members also went through series of rituals to enable them escape scenes of operation whenever alarm was raised. Before the operation, members were advised to abstain from having sex with their spouses, as that could erode the potency of the rituals and thereby give them away.
In an interview with Chibuzor who claimed to have joined the group in June 2017, he revealed that an oath of secrecy was also taken inside the Imosan, Ogun state shrine. Blaming his indulgence on his desperation to eke a living, he said :”never in my wildest imagination did I envisage I would be involved in this. In my search for a job, I approached Mr Omotayo. He told me to be patient that he would get one for me. But he said that before he would give me the job as a driver, he would first take me somewhere for an oath of loyalty.
“We drove to Ogun state, where three of us: myself, himself and Samuel were administered the oath. Thereafter, we went through another round of rituals. Part of the ritual entailed drinking of water used to wash dead bodies.
Thereafter, the priest would say some incantations before rubbing some oily substance from a calabash on us. We were also made to drink concoctions prepared with animals’ blood. I was told that the rituals were meant for protection. The water used to wash dead bodies was meant to prevent the spirit of those killed from harming us.
“The first operation I went with them after the rituals was the house of a man we later learnt was a Pastor, on December 25, 2017. After the operation, I was given N20,000 and the deceased’s phone. But I gave the phone to my elder brother, Uche. Few days later, we went for another operation where a woman saw us and raised the alarm. I was arrested not because I violated any of the instructions given by the herbalist but because I was left behind and I did not know the terrain.”
Vandal turned badoo leader
During preliminary investigation, suspected leader of the gang, Obamoyegun Omotayo, according to Police sources was discovered to be a former pipeline vandal. He was however forced to stop the illegal activity when the heat by security operatives became unbearable, as well as the resultant death of several vandals during the bombardment of their creeks in Arepo, Ogun state and Ikorodu, Lagos by the Nigerian Air Force, last year.
His arrest and alleged involvement in the killings of several residents within Ikorodu axis came as a rude shock to many. This is because the 45-year-old father of two was well known in Agbowa community, as he owns a block industry there while the street where he lived was named after him.
Saturday Vanguard was reliably informed that he usually went out between 9pm and 10pm whenever there was an operation, to a pub where other members converged before setting out for their target’s abode as from midnight. At times they would meet in a hotel around Ikorodu from where they set out. On his way back from the operation, he was usually allowed passage within the area because of his popularity.
Badoo Chief Herbalist, Fatai Adebayo alias Alese arrested by the Lagos Police at his shrine in Imosan Village, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, on Tuesday
Information also revealed that after the last operation, where Chibuzor was left behind, he found his way back home owing to his mastery of the terrain, driving past members of local vigilante whom he cheerfully greeted and hailed for their effort at keeping the axis calm. To cover his track, when the heat on the group was getting unbearable, Saturday Vanguard learned that he sold his Pathfinder jeep which was allegedly used during the operation, sometimes last year
How he was arrested
When he got wind of the arrest of Chibuzor, his driver, he reportedly went into hiding on the water around Ikorodu, pretending to be a fisherman. His wife was said to have contacted him, informing him that the Police came looking for him. From his hiding place, he reportedly contacted one of the community leaders to ascertain the reason for the Police visit. The community leader (names withheld) revealed that it was in connection with the attack on a family by badoo members . He also advised Omotayo to show up if he was sure that he had no hand in the attack.
Policemen were said to have been deceived by the suspect’s wife who said that her husband had gone for a burial ceremony in Ogun state when they visited his home. But his telephone was tracked to the river, where under cover SARS operatives on the directive of the CP , eventually arrested him while attempting to escape.
During interrogation, Police sources disclosed that he admitted to being a member of the deadly group. He also confessed that his role during any operation was to spray the powdery substance which puts victims to sleep. He further stated that it was his responsibility to dip handkerchiefs on victims blood.
But he also claimed to be a mere errand boy and that the handkerchiefs were given to some persons whose names he did not mention. Earlier investigation revealed that the handkerchiefs were sold to some politicians and eminent personalities within and outside Lagos State. The blood stained handkerchiefs were thereafter used for money rituals and protection. Each handkerchief reportedly sold for N500,000 to the end user.
Impeccable security source disclosed that some names had been mentioned as ‘big boys ‘ behind badoo cult. Already, some of them had left Lagos and the country in order to evade likely arrest by the police.
A resident in Ikorodu who gave his name simply as Tunde revealed that during the naming ceremony of one of Omotayo’s children, three human skulls were found in his apartment. But when asked how the skulls found their way to his apartment , he told detectives that they were for his Ifa oracle

On the part of his pregnant wife, she confessed to be responsible for sourcing victims. Police sources said : “She would leave in the day time, look for houses that were isolated and those which terrain were difficult to access by vehicles. When she got one, she would inform the group. But she would not join them in the operation proper. When approached, the pregnant woman only gave this reporter a blank stare, refusing to speak .
We will get those behind this -Edgal
In his determination to end the reign of badoo terror in Ikorodu, CP Edgal said that investigation was still ongoing with a view to arresting everyone, no matter how highly placed they were. As first step, he has held several meetings with traditional rulers in Ikorodu, where he sought their support at eradicating the killer cult , threatening also, that he would not to spare any of them that would be found culpable.
The effect of that meeting led to the renunciation of cultism by some youths in Ikorodu and surrendering of arms and ammunitions in their possession to the Police. Also, some shrines in that axis were demolished with several arrests made during raids of the groups hideouts by operatives led by Edgal.
At the moment, a suspected badoo kingpin, Alhaji Abayomi Alaka has been declared wanted . He however claimed in a telephone conversation with Saturday Vanguard, Thursday, that he did not have any link with the killer cult group and therefore had no question to answer. But the CP insisted that he should report to the nearest police station to clear himself and also have his day in court.

He however stated that from their preliminary investigation and report from their parents the girls were said to have died as a result of drawning.
A Nigerian lawyer, Stephie narrated on Micro-blogging site, Twitter, how a man called his in-laws, pastor to a meeting to report his wife after she gave him a b low job and also asked her where she learnt that skill from.
The thread on Twitter, started after a man while replying to a tweet asking why men cheat on their wives, tried to justify the act by claiming that women have little or no sex drive.
The twitter user who started it wrote;
“Many Nigerian men do not marry women with the same sex drive as they have. Also many Nigerian women have lil or no sex drive in the first place.”
Then a female user @superflycook replied ;
“Hahahahahahahhhahahahhahaha. A lot of men 1. Bore their wives. 2. Exhaust their wives with burden of house work 3. Have unrealistic expectations as to what a body that has been through childbirth looks like. But no. It’s the woman’s sex drive.”
In addition women are constantly shamed for being sexual beings in this part and yet you want her to form porn star so that you can accuse her of being unfaithful/loose. Yah.
Joining the thread, @stephie_coco had this to say;
“one time a woman gave her husband a blow job for the first time just to spice their sex life up and the man, called his in-laws to meeting amd reported his wife to them. That they should ask her where she learnt it from”
and that tweet had reactions because of the story behind it, see below;

Michael is the fourth child of popular actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde. He talks about the life his mother leads off the stage with Toluwani Eniola.
Tell us about yourself.
I am 16 years old. I am an aspiring cinematographer and movie director.
Did your mother influence these interests?
I usually accompany my mother to movie locations. That experience attracted me to film-making and movie business in general. Anytime I watch a movie, I analyse it in a different way. Along the line, I discovered that cinematography is the right career path for me to pursue.
I have watched some movies. There is a huge difference between Nigerian and foreign movies, like the ones produced in the US and the UK. The storyline is different and the quality of the production is also different. I want to do something great with the camera. But I am not sure yet if I will shoot movies for Nollywood or be a Nollywood cinematographer. I am learning as much as I can. I might consider acting along the line as well.
What are your recollections growing up with your mother?
I have many sweet memories with my mother. One that I remember clearly is that she has always been a supportive mother and an inspiration to my academic success. I remember the first time I applied to go to secondary school. My father wanted me to begin secondary school education in good time. I applied to a secondary school when I was in primary four. Many pupils applied to the school of my choice but unfortunately, my application was not successful. Owing to a large number of applications, the school raised the cut-off point and my score was below it. I remember that my mother shouted at me but later calmed down. She encouraged me to study harder next time. She told me to be more focused and that next time, I would pass. She encouraged me to study hard, warning me that none of her family members had failed.
Does being her child put a burden on you?
I don’t think there is any burden on me on account of my mother’s feats. I am very careful about what I post on the social media so as not to be perceived wrongly.
How do you feel being the son of a popular actress?
To be quite honest, most of the time, I feel like every other child. My mother is a disciplinarian. She raised her children in a way that gave no room for one to be proud. I am not the child that will enter a place and say, “Hey, my mother is the popular actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde.” I don’t brag about my background. In fact, when I entered secondary school, I did not want anyone to know who my mother is. But they eventually found out.
How did your friends react when they knew who your mother is?
It’s a big institution and many children of prominent Nigerians attend the school. Everyone is special in a way. When my friends saw my surname, some did not actually believe I am the son of Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde. Those who didn’t believe simply justified their claim with the fact that there are many Ekeindes in Nigeria. My mother didn’t come to visit me in school regularly. My father usually accompanied me to school.
One day, my mother came to the school and my friends were surprised to know that she is my mother. She was nearly mobbed by the pupils who took turns to take pictures with her. My mother has always been a friendly person so she was excited to relate with the pupils. She said to them one after the other, “Hi, what’s your name? What class are you?” How are you doing? Even though she didn’t remember as many names as she heard. She visited me in school on special occasions such as my birthdays.
How do you feel when people call your mother omosexy?
I have no problem with that. To be honest, I have not heard people call her that in my presence.
What nickname do you call her at home?
I only call her mummy. I am only allowed to call her mummy at home.
What language does she speak to her children at home?
She speaks Yoruba to us at home. I can’t really speak Yoruba fluently. I remember a week that she didn’t speak English to any one of us. She spoke to us in Yoruba. She wanted us to learn our language.
Do you get preferential treatment from your mother as the last child?
I don’t think there is any preferential treatment for me. Yes, my mother treats me well. I was brought up to respect my siblings and behave well.
Can you share any memorable experience with your mother?
She likes to joke a lot. Whenever she plays her old school songs and I say, “Mummy, why now?,” she would say, “The songs are better than what you hear nowadays.” When she is really enjoying the songs, she begins to dance. She enjoys dancing.
Did she use the cane to correct or discipline you at any point?
She does not use the cane to discipline us but when I was much younger, she caned me on my palm. There was a Saturday she asked me if I had cleaned my room. I could not remember whether I had cleaned my room that morning or not. But I told her it was clean. She said, “okay.” I thought she would quietly go to her room but she went straight to my room to confirm. She was mad at me for not telling her the truth.

Does your mother’s name earn you preferential treatment from your teachers?
No, they don’t treat me specially. My teachers are her fans. They always check her Instagram page and tell me what they see there. I remember that they once talked about a picture of my father and mother at the gym.
What biggest gift did your mother give you?
My mother has given me many things but the one I value the most is a camera because it’s valuable to my aspiring career. I have also gone for a film course. In the area of career choice, my mother didn’t force any of us to do anything. My mother and father have always supported our ambitions.
For instance, my first sister, Princess, has always admired the hospitality business and management. She was excited when my mother helped her to secure a placement of two or three weeks at the Eko Hotel and Suites. That exposed her to standards in the hospitality industry. When my brother, Captain E, mentioned that he wanted to do music, my parents supported him. For instance, he supported him with equipment.
She also helps him to call any artiste he wishes to work with. When she called those artistes on his behalf, she usually tells them to work with him only if they are satisfied with the quality of his works. My sister, Meraiah, has always wanted to do fashion and styling. She also uses her connection to link her with other great people in the industry and getting her sewing machines.
Considering your privileged background, do you always get everything you ask from your mother?
No. She taught us to be content with what we have. I once told her to get me a car. She shook her head, laughed and said, “You are not serious.”
What major advice has she given you?
My mother always emphasises the need to be straightforward in life. She dislikes dishonesty and encourages me to be disciplined. My parents advised us that life is not a bed of roses. They encouraged us to be determined and tackle any hardship that comes to our ways.
What are the things people don’t know about your mother?

I don’t think she has any role model. The last time I asked her, she told me she is her own role model. But she respects many other people. She has a pastor she looks up to and that is Pastor Tessy.
What is her favourite food?
She likes plantain and fish. She eats lots of vegetables too.
What does your mother tease your father about?
My mother teases my father about his love for pounded yam. My father likes pounded yam so much that he doesn’t mind eating it thrice in a day. He specifically said he would be happy if he gets pounded yam thrice daily. My mother also teases my father for studying almost all the time. She encourages him to have fun. My father too teases her about her love for dancing.
How close is she to her family members?
My mother enjoys a cordial relationship with her siblings. She used to tell us about her parents. She was very close to her parents. Like I said earlier, she learnt discipline from her mother.
Which of your mum’s movies is your favourite and why?
The one I like the most is Beyonce and Rihanna. I like it because it’s funny.
How has she been able to stay off scandals?
My mother is a disciplined person. She does not associate as much as one would expect. She does not really go out. She goes out only if it’s necessary.
Who is her best friend?
Her best friend is Rukky Sanda.
Tell us about her most difficult and fulfilling moments.
I think her most difficult moment was when she lost her father. She lost her father at age 12. Her most fulfilling moment is when my father and all the children are with her.

She hates football. She gets annoyed anytime I watch football (laughs). She likes squash and lawn tennis. She also likes watching wrestling, badminton and swimming.
She once veered into singing. Did she tell you why she stopped?
I don’t really know why she stopped singing. I think her passion for acting is stronger than singing. I was happy when she declared that she wanted to go into music. I know she can sing. I like the song she produced then. But my brother, Captain E, who is also a music producer, has been encouraging her to continue singing.
How does she relax?
My mother is a workaholic. She always has something important to do. But she likes relaxing on the couch. She visits the spas too. She also relaxes by dancing. She always forced me to dance with her. Dancing with her is not an optional thing (laughs). I think she enjoys relaxing by sending me around. She enjoys sending me around a lot. My mother could be on a couch with her phone just by her side. Yet, she would call me from a distance to give her the phone (laughs).
A Happy Nigerian man, Omo Olope bought his beautiful wife a brand new car, after she fulfilled her promise of exclusively breastfeeding their daughter for good six months.
