A brand new Prado Sport Utility Vehicle has been engulfed by fire on the road in the federal capital, Abuja – it caught fire along the federal highway at a location adjacent to the Federal Secretariat in Abuja at about 8.30 a.m. on Monday.
According to a report by Premium Times, the driver tried to stop the fire without success, and for almost half an hour the vehicle burnt as other drivers went about their businesses.
Officials of the fire service later arrived at the scene after the vehicle had completely been engulfed in flames.

But the instant messenger packs a number of features that most likely go unused because the user has not taken out time to explore.
Here are five features Whatsapp has to make your messaging experience richer.
Star feature
In your chat messages, you can star messages which helps you easily find a message when you need to. To star a message, just hold down the message and tap the star icon on the top screen. You can then get back the message in the app’s main menu anytime you wish.
Pinning feature
This is especially useful if you have a long list of chat messages. Pinning a particular chat like you would do a tweet would take that chat message up for easy re-visiting. And if you want to let go pinning, unpinning is as easy as holding down the chat and locating the ‘Unpin’ button at the top bar.
Mark as Unread
Where you have read a message but for some reason don’t have time to reply the person, you can mark the message as ‘Unread’ by holding down the chat , going to the three dotted lines at the top right, and selecting ‘’Mark as unread’’. A green circle will appear beside the particular chat as a reminder.
Using your phone assistants
For those who don’t like typing, you could employ the services of your virtual assistants – Siri, Google Assistant and Alexa to type the message for you.
For example, by uttering the command ‘’Ok Google’’, followed by the name of the person you want to message and the actual contents of the message.
Custom notifications
If you’re expecting an important WhatsApp message from someone, set a custom notification for them by opening the chat, tapping their name at the top and hitting Custom Notifications. Cool right?
Bonus: You can avoid the blue ticks and ‘Last seen’ features by going into Settings > Account > Privacy > Read Receipts. However, bear in mind that, by doing so, you’ll lose the ability to see when your own sent messages have been read.
Also, another clever way of reading your messages without triggering the blue ticks, is by enabling Airplane mode before opening your messages. – just remember to close the app before switching airplane mode off again.

One of the robbers led and locked 2Kay’s friend in the bathroom, while the others tied the singer’s arms, legs and mouth and took his valuables including jewelry, clothes, perfumes, phones, and money. They also cut the room’s intercom (phone) to avoid any form of communication as they left the hotel.
The hotel authorities and police have taken statements for investigation, while Mr. 2Kay is getting medical attention for his wounds. “I was quite shocked when I got to Mr. 2Kay’s room last night.
This was somebody I watched perform some minutes before the incident. Anyway, the hotel authorities and police are already investigating the incident and we hope they’ll apprehend the criminals as soon as possible,” said James Silas, Manager of Grafton Records.

Fanroi Mochachi, 45, was caught having sex with his neighbour’s puppy, eight-month-old Blackie, after her 10-year-old owner and his uncle the animal howling in a communal garden in South Africa.

EFCC, yesterday, November 6th, 2017 secured the conviction of one Mohammed Yusuf before Justice Zainab Bage Abubakar of the Federal High Court, Gusau, Zamfara State.
The convict was sentenced to 7 years’ imprisonment on each of the eleven count charge preferred against him by the EFCC. Yusuf had defrauded one Ya’u Mohammed to the tune of N20 million between November 2012 and January 2013 in a classic advance fee fraud scheme.
Posing as a ‘spirit’ named ‘Asmau’, based in Niger Republic, the convict was able to convince the complainant through a phone call into believing that the mystery female voice had powers to establish schools and mosques to propagate Islam but needed a human vessel through which this could be achieved.
The complainant gullibly fell into his trap after threats that he either obeys the voice of the spirit or die. Subsequently, the convict began to extort his victim and used the money to buy exotic cars and acquire a mansion in red bricks area of Kano state. The sentences are to run concurrently from the day of his arrest.
The Vice President of Zimbabwe has been removed from his post by the President of the country, for being disloyal.
Information Minister Simon Khaya Moyo says 75-year old Mnangagwa had displayed “traits of disloyalty” making it more likely that President Robert Mugabe’s wife Grace will follow in her husband’s footsteps as leader of Zimbabwe. She had earlier called on her husband to remove his vice-president.
“Mr Mnangagwa’s conduct in discharge of his duties is inconsistent with the responsibilities,” the information minister said.
Mr Mnangagwa, a former intelligence chief, had been a leading candidate to succeed President Mugabe. His sacking means Grace Mugabe is expected to be appointed vice-president at a special congress of the ruling Zanu-PF party next month.
Foreign rapper, Meek Mill appeared in a Philadelphia court on Monday where the judge sentenced him to 2-4 years in state prison for violating probation from his 2009 drug and weapons case, when he got arrested in a St. Louis airport for getting into a fight with an airport employee.
The judge also cited another probation violation when he got arrested for reckless driving in New York City. Even though both cases were dropped, the judge said getting arrested alone violated his probation.
Meek was immediately arrested while in court and remanded into custody.
It should be recalled that the rapper got off with a house arrest when he violated his probation in 2015, but the judge wasn’t so lenient yesterday.

Earlier today, Dammy Krane threw a serious shade at Triple MG Singer, Tekno.. and now, the latter has had the time to reply him.
Recall, Dammy took to his Snapchat to throw a shade at someone, who apparently, has been “posing” with other people’s cars parked in his compound.
It’s worthy to note, that Tekno, recently copped for himself, a Jeep wrangler, and shared a photo of himself posing with it and another car in his home.
Dammy wrote; “Duck head”, a term used to describe Tekno, “always parking peoples cars in his compound to deceive fans abi na promo …. because Runtown get lambo. Go and Buy a House”.
Knowing the history between them, especially the controversy started by Krane recently over copying of hairstyles, it’s safe to assume that the shade was directed at Tekno.
Tekno of course caught his sub, and has replied back to Dammy, referring to him as a “it”.. Tekno says Dammy krane has no career, and he’s struggling so hard to keep up.
