Nigerian Journalist, Gbenga Aborowa has, in a lengthy post on social media described controversial On-Air Personality, Daddy Freeze as a modern day Martin Luther.
He gave a brief introduction of who Martin Luther is and added that ‘Like 50 cent said the Modern day Pentecostal church in Nigeria has resolved to get rich or die trying’

“I celebrate this man Ifedayo Olarinde affectionately known as @daddyfreeze he is a brave man who has decided to speak against the clergy who profit off the misery and oppression of the hopeless and gullible in society he is a modern day Martin Luther.Martin luther was a German Monk and one of Western history’s most significant figures.
Luther spent his early years in relative anonymity as a monk and scholar. But in 1517 Luther penned a document attacking the Catholic Church’s corrupt practice of selling “indulgences” to absolve sin.
His “95 Theses,” which propounded two central beliefs—that the Bible is the central religious authority and that humans may reach salvation only by their faith and not by their deeds—was to spark the Protestant Reformation. Fast forward to 2017 the protestant church seems to be more of a commercial enterprise.

Comedian and father of one, Seyi Law has taken to social media to share an experience he had with some Military Men he met today on his way to Abuja.
According to him, he met them in a traffic congestion on his way to Abuja, and when they recognized him, he had to come down and give them some money, but they rejected it.

A scoundrel police officer, identified as Barau Garba who was accused of abducting and raping a 14-year-old girl in Anambra state, has been arrested.
The uniformed suspect allegedly raped the little girl till her vagina was ruptured, after abducting her on the 14th of October 2017.
At a press conference today, the Anambra State police commissioner, Garba Umar confirmed his arrest and disclosed that he will be arraigned before the appropriate Court of the land as soon as the criminal investigation against him is concluded.
He said:
“The Police Command wishes to confirm the arrest of F/No 275601 CPL Bara’u Garba attached to 7PMF Sokoto but deployed to Anambra State on special duty for the alleged abduction and defilement of a 14yrs old girl.
The erring policeman was arrested, defaulted and detained accordingly; and is facing Police internal disciplinary procedures. He will be arraigned before the appropriate Court of the land as soon as the criminal investigation against him is concluded.
This is indeed an isolated case and does not reflect the core values and ethics of the Nigeria Police Force. Justice will not only be done but seen to have been done.”
A 21-year-old Nigerian lady, identified as Nwafor Eurel has shared photos and narrated how a man brought thugs with him and allegedly raped her in Alaba, Lagos state.

With N5,000, or even less, one of the security guards employed to protect students at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Langtang, Plateau state, would gladly love-vendor the girls to strangers.
Speaking to TheCable’s undercover reporter, the guard gave an insight into how he organises “runs” for the teenagers for a fee, and how this is a common practice. This investigation by FEMI OWOLABI and SEYI AWOJULUGBE also exposes the rot in the once-prestigious Unity School, where students use water from an untreated well, sleep on broken beds, study in hostile classrooms — and live practically unprotected from predators.
You are in Langtang, Plateau state, for the weekend and need a schoolgirl for the evening? Someone is ready to help you make the arrangement for a fee. You can even have more than one girl if you choose. There are plenty of them at the nearby Federal Government Girls College (FGGC). The love-vendor is actually paid to protect the girls, but that is by the way.
Before TheCable set out for Langtang, the guard — whose phone number the reporter had collected from an acquaintance — consistently beat his chest and gave assurances that getting girls out of the hostel “is no big deal”, and it was soon obvious that the love-vendor had been in the business for a long time.
Bani Guest House, a popular lodge along the Langtang highway, is well known to the girls, the guard said. He explained that most of them do attend Sunday evening parties at Bani, where their boyfriends come to wait for them.
The reporter had disguised as a visiting businessman in need of girls to spend “a nice time” with. He promised to pay the guard more than what he would ask for. All the “big man” needed was a guarantee of a swell time. The excited guard called endlessly, excessively delighted with the business at hand.
TheCable ran into a little bad luck along the way — the timing of the visit coincided with when the SS3 girls were writing their exams in July 2017, and other classes were on vacation. But, not to worry, the guard was ready to pull the strings all the same.
Settling over a plate of rice ordered for him at the guest house, the guard told his would-be customer that girls in SS3 who were rounding off their final exams would make the perfect picks.
“I am giving you outgoing students,” he said, his face loosening into a smile. “There are some writing exams, it’s just to get a clue to know them and ask if they can do this for me. There are girls who do ‘runs’ but the issue is money.”
The guard, who was quick to request for money so he could move round and also “sort out” the girls’ transportation, revealed that there are a couple of schoolgirls who are into the act of sneaking out of the school premises.
“You’ll discuss how much you’ll give them,” he said, pocketing the N5,000 the reporter had given him as upfront for the task. “All those girls are small girls and they don’t know money much. If you treat them well, they will look for you if you’re still around.”
The guard had left his duty post. For hours, he was moving round the school, searching for girls who could be available under the tight deadline.
“I have arranged two girls now, and they will come to meet you when they are done with their exams today,” he would later say on phone.
A Nigerian Sickle Cell survivor, identified as Samira Sanusi has taken to social media to celebrate her brother, Musty Sanusi who donated his bone marrow to save her 13 years ago.
Since the bone marrow which was transplanted into her in Vienna, Austria in 2004, she has devoted her life to fighting sickle cell by creating awareness, supporting other less fortunate young people with the condition emotionally and financially via her foundation, the Samira Sanusi Sickle Cell Foundation.

Ogochukwu met Abidoun through a mutual friend at university. They chatted for sometime and lost touch because of her busy school schedule.
Years would pass before the couple would meet at a convocation party, fall in love and finally decide it was time to begin their forever journey together.

Here is a little back story on how they met.
How We Met By the bride — Ogochukwu
One night, I was in my hostel when a friend called my phone. He wanted to obtain my permission to give out my mobile number to someone who had asked.
“Who?” I asked.
“His name is Biodun” he said
I had a vague recollection of him as the brother of a friend I went to church regularly with. I was quite pleased that he had the manners to insist I gave my permission first. I did not tarry with granting it
“Sure” I replied.
Biodun and I started chatting everyday, sending text messages back and forth and somewhere in my head, I thought I was giving him nerd tips on how to make female friends, oblivious to the fact that I was the fish.
He would send flash messages and texts and I always looked forward to them, they were usually pretty entertaining and educative.
However, for some twisted reason, I never saved his number. I enjoyed seeing his number whenever I got a message from him, it gave me a strange pleasure as opposed to seeing his name.
That way, I did not have to pick up my phone and reach out first and whenever I forgot to respond to his flash messages, reaching him was not possible. It was my subconscious, playing hard to get.
Soon after, my replies got fewer because I got very busy with school as my department was not to be toyed with.
Naturally, the frequency of his own messages dropped, he only reached out once in a blue moon and I had respond for a bit and then disappear as usual.
On his sister’s graduation day, it struck me that he would be around so I looked for her.
“What of Biodun?” I asked
She directed me to where I had find him. So my friends and I carried our Convocation food and drinks hunt to his location. I was a bit hurt he didn’t tell me he was going to be there but I was glad to see him.
“Have you guys eaten? He asked.
We kept smiling at each other.
“Yes” I replied.
He offered us some more drinks. I thanked him and we continued our hunt at the next available canopy. Later on, he told me he was surprised I had looked for him and that urged him on.
One day, almost a year after the convocation, he reached out and we chatted for a bit. Again, I ran off, promising to get back to him later as I had my project defence the next day.
To his surprise and ultimately mine, I sent him a text when I was leaving school the next day and we ended up chatting till I got to Lagos. We made arrangements to meet at a mutual friend’s party that evening. I got there before him and had to deal with conversations I wasn’t interested in having. The minute I saw him walk in, fully dressed in his riding gear, I was filled with admiration and joy, my Knight in not so shiny armour had come to my rescue.
From that moment, I enjoyed every moment talking to him. That for me was the beginning.
He patiently waited for me for years while I played busy till I went to him myself.
How We Met, The groom Abiodun‘s version
I heard of Ogo long before I saw her. She was one of the most talked about Jambites. I remember seeing her and thinking, she is a bit too light skinned for me. Now that I think about it, she fit all the physical attributes I wanted and more, except she was #TeamLightSkin.
A few years passed before we spoke to each other. I asked a mutual friend to introduce us. I was a chat person. I recall being stumped on her untimely response to messages, I am talking days here before she replied a “How’s it going” message. Perhaps those kinds of messages are to run of the mill (less painful way to say boring)
One of the memories that struck me was at my younger sister’s convocation, I was walking back to join the family only to see Ogo with her posse (she still thinks she was with one person) walking in my direction. I thought it was a coincidence until she said she was actually looking for me (Ghen Ghen). I tried to contain my excitement but I must not have done a great job of it. Later that night or perhaps the next day, I sent a message. Do you think she responded on time?
I had given up any hope of having an extended conversation until I saw a picture of her a friend put up. That picture woke up something that I still did not know was within me. I sent a message and to my surprise, she responded. After a few exchanges, she sent the dreaded “Will buzz you tomorrow”. In my mind, I was like “Yeah, bye Felicia”.

Tomorrow came, Lo and behold, she buzzed. The excitement!!! We chatted the whole day, met up with her at a friend’s party she attended. I don’t ride at night – bad eyesight and all but I did that night. Thinking back, she must know now that I hardly ever put myself in harm’s way like that.

We were alone in his friend’s car after an event when he called my attention to a tiny box with a ring in it. I thought he found it in his friend’s car and was playing around. So when he asked me to marry him, I laughed and told him he plays too much.
But he wasn’t.
I went from shocked to overjoyed as I did not see a proposal coming anytime soon.
We have come a long way through good and trying times. I have seen him try to become a better person for me, for us, and this is all that matters.

It was the month after completing her Youth service. The day was the 3rd of December 2016. It was at a Bike, Car and Fashion show organised by a mutual friend. I know she is a lover of bikes and fashion. It was an a typical proposal. No restaurant, no music, no friend(s), no on bended knee. I was going to return one of the bikes to Magodo Brooks estate. I asked if she could drive behind me. The irony, it was dark as well, throwback to the first time we hung out all those years ago. The danger I put myself because of this woman sha.
Anyway, I dropped off the bike without any accident (Thank God, as that bike was not/is not cheap). We were driving out of the estate, she was staring out the window thinking about God knows what. While driving (at snail’s pace, to the safety police reading this), I asked her to marry me.
It clearly took her by surprise, either that or we should consider a career for her in Nollywood (apologies, We must think bigger, Hollywood). She eventually saw the ring. What got to me was that I could tell she was all teary eyed but refused to lose her composure because she did not want to ruin her make up. SMH Ogo!

Media Personality and Nigerian pastors critic, Daddy Freeze has accused Nigerian pastors of hacking his Instagram account.
This comes after the controversial OAP, known for always lashing out at Nigerian Pastors, lost his Instagram account to hackers. A quick check on Instagram shows that his page has been wiped clean, and no longer available.
He’s since taken to Twitter to accuse pastors of hacking it instead of them to debunk his stance on tithing!

Gaje Zubairu, a 38-year-old woman who was delivered of quadruplets at the General Hospital, Malumfashi, Katsina State, last Wednesday through caesarian operation, died Sunday morning, Punchng reports.
The hospital’s Chief Medical Director, Dr. AbdulHamed Abdullahi, provided no details on the circumstances surrounding the death. He revealed that Ms. Zubairu died about 11 on Sunday.
Sources at the hospital said her death was unconnected with the caesarian section, because, according to them, her health condition had already stabilised after the operation and plans were even being made for the naming of the babies.
A good Samaritan was said to have even purchased the ram to be slaughtered on Wednesday for the naming ceremony. Staff were alerted to her sudden restlessness and few minutes later, she was dead.
Zubairu had been delivered of three boys and one girl, last Wednesday. One of the quadruplets died in the evening of the delivery date, leaving three behind. Family sources said the remaining three babies were in good condition.

This comes days after the rapper in an interview, said he was blown away by the actresses’ intelligence and the most romantic thing he had ever done was to get matching tattoos with the woman that he loves, i.e Juliet Ibrahim.
A 22 year old Maryland lady, Marisa Harris, who was mindlessly driving under the Cedar Lane overpass on Interstate 66 in Virginia, has lost her life after a 12-year-old boy threw himself off the overpass and landed on her Ford Escape at 4:18pm on Saturday afternoon.
Harris was pronounced dead at the scene while the suicidal boy who caused the accident, survived. He was rushed to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries.
The suicidal boy’s name has not been released because he is a minor. The reason why he tried to commit suicide is not yet known.
A man who was a passenger in Harris’ front seat was able to stop the car on the left shoulder, fortunately, he was not injured at all.
The interstate was closed for several hours as police worked the scene. It was reopened after the scene had been cleared.

A 38-year-old Citibank business manager, with the name Balachandran Kavungalparambath, has bagged a 15 months jail sentence after he was nabbed trying to meet a 14-year-old girl for sex after grooming her online.
The man, who is married and is father of one, broke down in tears and claimed he just wanted to have lunch with the youngster as extracts of his warped Whatsapp conversations were read back to him, reportedly traveled more than 100 miles from his home but was met by the ‘Internet Interceptors’ group, who had been posing as the underage girl.
Balachandran was also placed on the sex offender register for 10 years and given a 10-year sexual harm prevention order, as the footage, which runs over an hour, starts with the defendant, who worked in Canary Wharf in east London, being cornered by three members of the group who recovered a perfume and condoms from him after he emptied his rucksack.
After his captors told him the girl in question doesn’t exist, he claimed the girl told him that she was 18 but later admitted that the ‘girl’ told him that she was 14.
He said:
“She told me…whoever the person was that spoke to me spoke to me that she had a desire and she wanted to have sex, but that was not my intention and I had chatted with her.”When asked what would happen to him as punishment, he said: “I will have to leave the country. A young Nigerian boy has claimed his “harsh” father sent him away from their home on Friday October 27 because he came home late after featuring in a soccer game in Warri, Delta State.
The 13-year-old boy from Epe in Lagos State identified as Ayo Adebisi, claimed he left the house at about 2pm to play in the Under 13 football match between Gray Football Club and Indomitable Warriors Club at Pessu Primary School.
Ayo explained that he returned home at about 7pm the same day but his father chased him out of the house.
According to a report by Daily Post, Adebisi, who is the second out five children of his parents, claimed he slept in a nearby church which held an “All Night” service same day.
The boy recalled that he slept in the house of a stranger who accommodated him again on the night of Saturday October 28.
Adebisi, who revealed the marriage between his parents crashed, as he stated that his mother, Sophia is staying with her own father at a compound adjacent the God’s Kingdom Society near Hausa Quarters in Warri.
Some hours after the wedding of a Nigerian man identified as Kufre Ukpong and his bride in Akwa Ibom, a British Lady with the name, Gill Ukpong on Facebook, has come out to claim that she is already married to the groom.
Gill made this known on Facebook, via the comment section of a post which was in reference to the Akwa Ibom wedding. Gill wrote:
Look you can say anything u like, ask my husband why he has not divorced me for this marriage. Ask him why he cannot and will not go it. Go on
Yeah second marriage is nothing no amount of money will make it legal
To further reveal more about her husband, Gill, in a Facebook exchange with some Nigerians, described Ukpong as “bloody liar, narcissist and bigamist” who also impregnated another white woman before he married her.
Meanwhile, it seems as though, the new wife, Idongesit Edem is aware of the fact that he is married to Gill as she had commented on a photo Kufre had posted on Facebook.
Gill also claimed to have contacted Idongesit Edem to warn her that Kufre Ukpong is already married to her.
