Pathetic story of epilepsy sufferer who fell into fire

Despite her grotesque look, Benita Okereke remains optimistic that God would still open her file which has been lying on His celestial table since December 2015.

On December 13,in Obulor Ihetu village, Ishiagu community in Ivo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, 22-year-old, Benita, suffered ill-fate as she was preparing stew as she had an epileptic seizure and slumped into the fire, unconscious.

She was in the fire for close to 20 minutes. By the time somebody noticed what had happened and came to her aid, she had practically roasted in the red-hot flames.

And as if the devil had marked her out for destruction, Benita told Sunday Sun that little children who were at the scene watched her burn without raising the alarm until some good spirits ministered to her mother that something might be wrong in the kitchen. Expectedly, the weird experience spread shockwaves throughout the community.

She suffered third degree burns on the left-hand side of her neck and face. The flesh of the affected parts of the neck, face and upper shoulder ‘joined together’ as a result of tissue adhesion, thereby producing the pathetic look she has today. Yet, there is hope that she can regain some visual appeal if help can come to her today.

With tear drops rolling down her cheeks, Benita narrated her ordeal to Sunday Sun, recalling that she went to the kitchen about 4pm on that fateful day to prepare some stew she uses to sell a local food item called agidi, made from partly fermented, boiled and hardened corn starch, wrapped with special green leaves.

According to her, her mother had retired from the business as a result of old age. And with that being their only source of livelihood, she took up the business so that the family could, at least, feed.

Hear her:

“I was preparing stew with which I would sell agidi the next day. The stew was almost done when I suddenly lost consciousness and didn’t know when I fell into the fire.

“I was in the fire unconscious and no one came to my rescue. Little children who were around did not raise the alarm or do anything; they were just moping at me. My mother who was inside the house decided to come to the kitchen to know how I was preparing the stew. She was shocked to see me inside the fire.

“She held me on one leg and pulled me out of the fire. She rushed and carried water and poured on my body. It was at that point that I regained consciousness and realized that I fell into fire.”

Because of paucity of funds, Benita was not given adequate and appropriate medical attention. She revealed that she was subjected to traditional medication which was casually carried out.

“Every morning, my mother would clean me up and lay me back on the bed. And I would sleep on one side. That’s why I can’t stand erect” she said.

Determined to better her lot, Benita who is the last of eight children (now seven following the untimely death of the first daughter), revealed that she resorted to begging.

She said that the family depended on the little money she made from begging to feed. But as the financial muscle of the family grew very lean, their mother, Celina, gave out some of her children to live with some privileged families in the cities.

“My mum is unemployed. We have no money to even feed. I go out to beg so we can buy food. All my siblings were adopted by some privileged people. It has been about three years since my father died.”

Rejected by UNTH, Enugu

After she had been able to save some money the alms she received benevolent people, she decided to go to a hospital for treatment. As Benita put it, she crossed the seven proverbial seas and forests to reach the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Enugu.

The hospital, located in the sleepy Utuku-Ozalla community in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State is quite far away from Benita’s community in Ebonyi State.

“I was taken to University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu for treatment but I was rejected by the hospital management. The doctors and nurses avoided me like the plague because of my condition and asked my mother to check elsewhere.

“They said that we can come back for further treatment when the wound I sustained had healed because according to them, I was suffering an ailment other than the burns. The doctors and nurses completely isolated me. In frustration, I told my mother to take me home. I went home without getting any treatment.

Angelic private nurse to the rescue

Moved by the sufferings of Benita, a nurse attached to a private hospital in Ishiagu community, Favour Hospital and Maternity, Mrs Igwe Justina Obiageri, took it upon herself to dress Benita’s wounds every two days at almost no cost.

Speaking with Sunday Sun, Mrs Igwe said that as a mother, she was emotionally moved to assist the girl. She condemned the medical officers at UNTH for rejecting a patient, saying it was unprofessional.

Igwe disclosed that when she started attending to the victim, she was already decaying. She said that she scooped out a number of maggots from the wound.

“If the medical officers at UNTH had attended to her, her condition wouldn’t have worsened. I found maggots in her wounds and they were biting her. I had to give her tetanus toxide injection.
“Before I started treating her, a putrid smell used to pervade the area around her. You could not even come near her. If you had seen her before now, you would not have believed that she would survive,” she added.

Igwe called on good spirited individuals, especially the Ebonyi State Government to come to Benita’s aid as she needs surgical operation to restore her looks to normal.

Pain, tears of a mother

Benita’s aged mother, Celina Okereke, while interacting with Sunday Sun almost broke down in tears. She lamented that friends, family and close relatives have deserted them.

But not willing to give up on the girl that shut the doors of her womb, Celina said she had sought for solution in the available traditional medicine homes which the family could afford without fruitful result.

“I took her to a number of traditional medicine homes. I have been finding it very difficult to cater to her needs and that of my grandchildren who were abandoned for me by their mothers. I have no helper; I have been managing Benita’s problem without help,” she said.

Celina recalled that Benita started suffering from birth. She was delivered through caesarean surgery. From one problem to the other, the mother and child spent five months in the hospital before the doctors certified them medically fit to go home.

“It was hellish giving birth to Benita. I passed through caesarean operation in a hospital in Abuja. We spent five months in that hospital before the doctors said we could go home,” she recalled.

Benita’s prior woes

For the 22-year-old spinster, life has been very cruel. From the day she was born to her present age, it has been a tale of agony. In fact, if her life were to be a book, it probably would be half-filledl with stories of pain.

She is also epileptic, a condition that began to manifest when she was 12 years old. She recalled that she falls down about seven times every day. She said that the condition has defied several medication. She added that they sold their family land to raise money for her treatment.

“I don’t know why these things are happening to me. They said that my future is very bright; hence, the enemies are hell-bent on cutting it off,” she lamented.

Benita, however, pleaded with Governor David Umahi, the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu and other good spirited individuals to come to her aid.

Her desire is to become a fashion designer and would appreciate vocational skill training in the making of clothes. With skill acquired she would be able to fend for herself and take care of his mother.

In the meantime she desperately needs to undergo corrective surgery to restore her neck region and burnt face to normalcy.

Benita can be reached through: 07036519048; donations should be sent through the account of the nurse that is caring for her, using the following details: Account Name: Igwe Justina Obiageri. Account Number: 0718525424, Access Bank.

Tonto Dikeh’s Ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill speaks on his relationship with TBoss and Rosaline Meurer

For some days now, there have been speculations on social media, that Tonto Dikeh’s ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill is in a love triangle between, Rosaline Meurer and TBoss.

In a brief chat with LIB, the Business man has said that he can hangout with 100 women, and it’s no one’s business.

“listen to me. I’m a very busy man and honestly I don’t have time for social media banter and gists. I don’t know where these stories come from and Its been lingering for a long time, any lady that works with me automatically goes online as someone I’m dating and Its no longer funny.

I don’t know where these stories emerge from but they are not true. At the moment, I am a single man and for all you care I can hangout with 100 women if I want its no one’s business’.

Then he went on to say Rose is an actress, someone he’s known since childhood and was never his personal assistant.

In his words, ‘like i said. Its nobody’s business. Let me just shut this thing down once and for all. Rose is family to me, I’ve known her since childhood before she started working with the foundation and for the last time, she didn’t break my home. She’s an actress not my personal assistant as many people believe and in the real sense, a company cannot have an actress as a ‘P.A’.

Anything you read online that doesn’t come from me is not true, there’s too many fake news sponsored against me by jobless people. My marriage crashed because of personal issues that we could resolve and I tried to fix it several times because of my son but it didn’t work out.

As for Tboss, she was present as many other celebrity at the Fire service event we did last month in Abuja so how does this translate to dating any of them. I don’t think I owe any one any explanation, when and if I am ready to get married again, my family will know not the media.i will choose to keep my life private like it used to be.

When asked about the reported domestic violence allegations against him and how often he sees his son, he said:

“I don’t know what you are talking about. because all that is not true, I was not even in the country when she moved out of my house with my child without my consent and she left with all her things to an unknown destination. I repeat I have never raised my hand on any woman before and I will never do it no matter what happens. only a weak man would hit a woman, i’ll rather walk away at that moment. And since then I’ve tried to see my son but I’ve been taking it slow because I don’t want any false claims” he said.

“Islam has changed the way I dress” – Nollywood Actress Liz Anjorin

Popular Yoruba actress, Liz Anjorin, has reiterated that she didn’t convert to Islam because of any man.

In a chat with Sunday Scoop, she said, “If I changed to Islam because of a man, why am I still single? People just like to say all sorts, but I’m not bothered anyway. This is my second time of going to Mecca after my conversion; I went first in 2013. My name remains Liz Anjorin, but I adopted the Muslim name, Aishat, and that’s all. My father was a Christian, while my mother was a Muslim. I only decided to follow my mother’s path.”

The Owo Nairabet actress also stated that her new religion has caused her to change her mode of dressing.

“I’m a private person and people don’t know much about me. If you check my Instagram page, you would see that my mode of dressing has changed. But as a celebrity and entertainer, I can wear anything to showcase my talent, which is work-related. I don’t need to write it on my forehead that I’m a Muslim.”

Mr Eazi admits he only interned at Schlumberger, insists he brought new vibes to the Nigerian Music Industry

Despite being lambasted for claimed that the practice of infusing Ghanaian sounds and slangs into Nigerian music was started by him, Mr Eazi is standing by his words.

In a chat with Sunday Scoop, the singer said: “The interview that caused this uproar was just me speaking my mind and saying things the way I see it from my perspective. It wasn’t meant to be an insult to any Nigerian artiste.

You cannot deny that I brought a new vibe to the industry and I believe everybody can see that. Now, there are lots of Nigerian artistes who use Ghanaian words and melodies in their songs, but they’ve never been to Ghana.

So how did they get to know about those words? There are a lot more songs out now that have that Ghanaian influence, and with all due respect, I can boldly say that started after my songs started gaining popularity.”

Speaking on the $6,000 job he allegedly turned down for music, Mr Eazi said:

“I turned down the job; I didn’t say I had started working there. I don’t think there is anything wrong with being an intern.

I don’t have anything to gain by lying about such a thing. The truth remains that I was offered a job by Schlumberger, but I decided not to take it, but rather concentrated on my career. And that is a decision I’ve never regretted till date.”

Guy shares screenshots of how a pastor wanted to scam him

So, Scammers are now going about using False Prophecy to scame unsuspecting individuals of their hard earned money.

A guy has shared with us, screenshots of the conversation he had with a supposed “Pastor”, who told him a woman does’t want him to progress in life.

“In my few prayers with you, I saw a woman in your family who don’t need your progress. you need to do something to break this yoke”
The pastor wrote to him.

and continued: “Beloved in my prayers for you. God wants you to give a sacrifice that will pain you, a great seed of faith that will come from the heart and in less than one week you will begin to see Gdos divine intervention in your life. The enemy would try all they can to see that you don’t get delivered from this yoke by not doing that the Lord has instructed you to do. Army to Launch Operation Crocodile Smile II in South South, South West

As Operation Python Dance in the South-East region continues to generate controversy, the Nigerian Army said on Saturday that it would launch an operation, Crocodile Smile II, which would cover the South-South region and some parts of the South-West.

The Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Sani Usman, said this in an interview with Signature TV on Saturday, monitored by Punchng. The army spokesman noted that “encouraging feedback” from the South-East after Python Dance I made the army commence Python Dance II

He said, “Look, this is the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The Nigerian military belongs to Nigeria and they have a duty to exercise in any part of the country. It is so sad that some people try to politicise these issues.

They should have exercised patience and seen how this exercise would go. We had Operation Harbin Kunama II covering the North-West and parts of the North-Central this year.

As soon as we are done with Egwu Eke II (Python Dance), we are also going on Crocodile Smile II that will cover the South-South and some parts of the South-West of the country.

Operation Python Dance II came about based on the encouraging feedback we received as a result of Python Dance I held last year. This is especially because of the crimes during the ‘ember’ period in the region.

You know that the South-easterners, who are enterprising and industrious people, have to return to their places at the end of the year. Unfortunately, some criminal elements take advantage of this period to perpetrate crimes.

We have armed robberies, kidnappings, and communal clashes. But the Christmas of 2016 and New Year 2017 were the most peaceful in that part of the country, and that is attributed to the field training exercise, Python Dance I.”

The army spokesman said the activities of a group of “vocal people, out of mischief or ignorance trying to create violence” should not be taken as the stand of the South-East region

Nigerian Lady based in Abuja, holds “baby shower” for her pregnant dog (photos)

A Nigerian Lawyer based in Abuja, Uju Jessica Anyiam, who is a serious per lover like me, shared exclusively with YabaLeftOnline.com, pictures from the “baby” shower she held for her dog, named pinky.

Speaking to us, she said: “My cute Pet Pinky had her baby shower yesterday. She will put to bed soon. Nigerians should imbibe the habit of keeping pets as it has a way of keeping you sane from mouthy family and friends. In short they are God’s way of saying I got your back when humans fail.”

Lawyer Uju.

See Some beautiful photos below;

Uju recently took to her Facebook to write a beautiful piece on why you should own a pet..

In a note dated, September 16th, she wrote:

PINKY AND I

The day I returned home crying. PINKY looked into my defeated gaze and licked my feet.

I was astounded that this creature was capable of the empathy that I so craved in my closest friends and relatives. It was like she could read the pathetic and sad thoughts that disabled me and wanted me to know I was lovable in the midst of my suffering.

She continues to be a supportive presence in my life, especially on the days that I grow weary of trying on.

I hear tales of four-legged creatures becoming angels in times of terrifying darkness. Indeed, a substantial body of research indicates that pets improve our mental health.

1. Pets offer a soothing presence.

Studies indicate that merely watching fish lowers blood pressure and muscle tension in people about to undergo oral surgery.

Other research shows that pet owners have significantly lower blood pressure and heart rate both before and while performing stressful mental tasks — like, say, performing a family intervention or supervising kids’ homework.

Finally, persons recovering from heart attacks recover more quickly and survive longer when there is a pet at home. It seems as though their mere presence is beneficial.

2. Pets offer unconditional love and acceptance.
As far as we know, pets are without opinions, critiques, and verdicts. Even if you smell like their poop, they will snuggle up next to you.

In other words, at times we prefer our four-legged friends to our mouthy pals because we can divulge our innermost thoughts and not be judged.

3. Pets alter our behavior.
Here’s a typical scenario. I come through the door in the evening and I’m annoyed. At what, I don’t know. A million little snafus that happened throughout the day. I am dangerously close to taking it out on someone. However, before I can do that, my PINKY walks up to me, wanting some attention.

So I kneel down and pet her. She licks my face, and I smile. Voila! She altered my behavior. I am only agitated a little now and chances are much better that someone will not become a casualty of my frustrations.

We calm down when we are with our dogs, cats, lizards, and pigs. We slow our breath, our speech, our minds. We don’t hit as many people or use as many four-lettered words.

4. Pets distract.
Pets are like riveting movies and books. They take us out of our heads and into another reality – one that only involves food, water, affection, and maybe an animal butt – for as long as we can allow. I’ve found distraction to be the only effective therapy when you’ve hit a point where there is no getting your head back. It’s tough to ruminate about how awful you feel and will feel forever when your dog is breathing in your face.

5. Pets promote touch.
The healing power of touch is undisputed. Research indicates a 45-minute massage can decrease levels of the stress hormone cortisol and optimize your immune system by building white blood cells.

Hugging floods our bodies with oxytocin, a hormone that reduces stress, and lowers blood pressure and heart rates. And, according to a University of Virginia study, holding hands can reduce the stress-related activity in the hypothalamus region of the brain, part of our emotional center.

The touch can actually stop certain regions of the brain from responding to threat clues. It’s not surprising, then, that stroking a dog or cat can lower blood pressure and heart rate and boost levels of serotonin and dopamine.

6. Pets make us responsible.

With pets come great responsibility, and responsibility — according to depression research — promotes mental health.

Positive psychologists assert that we build our self-esteem by taking ownership of a task, by applying our skills to a job. When we succeed — i.e., the pet is still alive the next day — we reinforce to ourselves that we are capable of caring for another creature as well as ourselves. That is why chores are so important in teaching adolescents self-mastery and independence.

Taking care of a pet also brings structure to our day. Sleeping until noon is no longer a possibility unless you want to spend an hour cleaning up the next day. Staying out all night needs some preparation and forethought.

Traveling needs planning.

Anybody found with Biafra flag will be arrested – Abia Commissioner of Police

The Abia State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Anthony Ogbizi, has warned that anybody found with Biafra emblem will be arrested and charged to court.

Ogbizi who stated this while parading 7 suspected members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, explained that with the proscription of the group by the South East governors, it has becomes illegal for anyone to operate under IPOB or adorn Biafra emblems.

He lamented that one of the injured officers, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP, serving at the Ariaria Police Station has died out of the injuries he sustained during the attack.

Nnamdi Kanu flees, goes into hiding

Nnamdi Kanu flees
Nnamdi Kanu

Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the secessionist group Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has gone into hiding following the declaration by the Nigerian Army that the group is a terrorist organization.

Both Kanu, and other top leaders of the group, have according to Punch, gone into hiding since the declaration.

Members of the group who spoke on the condition of anonymity said it was a decision the group took together. They said:

We have to apply wisdom to whatever we are doing. We have realised that there is a grand conspiracy against Kanu and other top leaders of our group.

Just imagine barely few hours after the Nigerian military declared members of IPOB and other pro-Biafran groups as terrorists, our own governors came up with their own outright ban of our activities.

This definitely will give the soldiers and other security agencies the opportunity to arrest our leader and mount a deadly clampdown on all IPOB members. So, it is better to operate from a hideout for now.

Nnamdi Kanu flees
Nnamdi Kanu

Nnamdi Kanu’s brother, popularly known as Fine Boy, has said only his brother can disclose where he is at the moment. He said:

Only my brother can tell Nigerians where he is, I can’t. I don’t know why the Army should call IPOB a terrorist organisation, it is out of their desperation to arrest Nnamdi and frustrate the Biafran struggle. We have petitioned the United Nations and the European Union.

The world knows that IPOB is a non-violent organisation, we don’t carry arms, we don’t kill, and we believe violence can never solve any problem.

Nnamdi will soon disclose his current location and IPOB will also react to the proscription of the group by the South-East governors’ forum.

IPOB also condemned the South-East Governors for its ban, saying they are disloyal.

The group said its demonstrations have been peaceful, and the ban proves that the governors are at the forefront of the plan to eliminate its leader Nnamdi Kanu.

In a statement released by the group’s media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful, the group said:

We want to find out how the governors who do not know the foundations of IPOB, would make such a statement when they know that IPOB had staged 297 peaceful protests and rallies both at home and in Diaspora without a single record of violence or crime.

With the record on ground, IPOB under Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, is one of the most peaceful organised freedom fighting group in the world today.

It is dangerous that the governors who are the chief security officers of their respective states in the zone would decide to hand over their people to the enemies who were out to kill, maim and destroy because of their selfish reasons.

We are also aware that late Chief Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu and General Philip Effiong protected their people during the first pogrom and ethnic cleansing from 1966 to 1970.

These governors and their collaborators are in the forefront to eliminate our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and other peaceful members of IPOB. It is on record that IPOB activities are peaceful since the inception and nobody can prove where and how IPOB activities became violent over night.

The solders brought in to eliminate or murder our leader and IPOB members, including the innocent civilians across Biafra land, are still going from house to house picking anyone suspected to be IPOB or seen with any Biafra insignia.

IPOB under Kanu must remain a nonviolent group in the pursuit for Biafra freedom, despite the high handedness meted against IPOB members and our leader.

See the current state of Nnamdi Kanu’s house after military invasion in Abia

A journalist who visited the residence of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB in Umuahia, Abia state capital earlier today – has shared pictures from the area which has been deserted following the military invasion in the region.

According to Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, who accused the Nigerian Army of declaring war on Mr. Kanu, the soldiers forcefully gained entrance into Nnamdi Kanu’s house after shooting for about 40 minutes.

His entrance gate was broken and forced open in a bid to arrest the IPOB leader.

“My mother is seeing other men, sending nudes”

From Nairaland:

I am a guy of 34 and I’m married with 2kids.

I have been going through my mom’s phone for a while now and things I see on it are too bad. She has been having sexchats with 3 different men, I am most certain she has met and had sex with one of them.

Background to the story:

My dad has never been the very responsible type, a chronic womanizer and he was always hurting her because she loved him to the extreme. There had been cases where she was even arrested by the police from one of his side chicks who he sponsored through school till she graduated, also a time he brought another one home who engaged in fight with my mom and nothing was done by my dad. There are so many cases like that whom i may not be able to say much on to avoid long story.

As I write this now, he has been out of the house for the past one month living with a girl of about 24. I called him severally man to man to know his motive and he said he can’t just explain it but mom has not wrong him in a way because she is a good wife who knows how to take care of her man.

My mom is very beautiful and looks younger than a woman in her fifties so it is not unexpected that other men would hit on her.

I took time to imagine walking in her shoes and I understand she is really hurt, she has asked to leave his house several, I’ve been the one calming her down and advising her not to leave at her age. She is independent and has a good job, and according to her there is no sexual relationship between them again.

Now I know she is flirting with these men due to loniless and several heartbreak but then, it is disgusting to me that my mom is involved in that even to the point of sending nudes, I saw all these and I am just confused on how to handle this matter.

Should I confront her or just keep mute.

Model with 6ft bum wants it bigger despite her parents thinking she looks like a cow

Just when you think you’ve seen it all, along comes an extreme surgery show that blows everything out of the water.

Plastic & Proud features a woman with a six foot butt – 6 FOOT! – who regularly stuffs her face with chocolate sundaes and fatty meals in a bid to pack on more pounds that can be transferred to her behind.

Natasha Crown, 24, says when she hit puberty, she loved her curves so much that she wanted more and more.

“When I was a teenager and my body started to change – I got boobs, I got a bum. I just loved my body so much.”

“I was 20 when I had my first procedure and yes, I would say I’m obsessed. The first thing I do in the morning is go to the mirror and look at my bum,” the Swedish glamour model continues.

“Maybe I have body dysmorphia or something but I don’t feel like it is even that big. I definitely want bigger.”

And after three butt jobs, she admits she gets turned on by herself when she feels her badonk in motion as she walks down the street.

“I just love the feel of having a big bum. When I walk, I feel all the jiggling, jiggling, jiggling and I start to feel horny with myself,” she says.

“That is the best feeling I think. My bum makes me feel sexy and makes me feel powerful.”

However, her parents aren’t quite as thrilled with her changing look, and Natasha says they’ve told her she looks like a “cow”.

“They think about my health and tell me to think about the future, will I ever have a family of my own and things like that,” she explains.

‘It is difficult for them to see me change. Sometimes they have been very cruel. They don’t understand why I am doing this and I say to them, ‘How can you speak to your own daughter like that?’”

“She had 2 abortions for Him, now, she’s pregnant again & he wants another abortion”

A Nigerian Lady is seeking advise for her friend.. She wrote:

“HI

My girlfriend came to my house yesterday and during girls chit chat, she told me something that is kind of baffling to me.

She met this guy late 2015 on facebook and they later met in person. They have been in relationship since then till now. She told me she had 2 abortions for him last year immidiately she missed her period by taking a drug. He gave her his reasons, that he is not yet buoyant to foot pregnancy, baby, traditional marriage and that his place is too small to house relations that may want to visit.

She missed her period 4days ago and she told her boyfriend she will want to keep it and suggested him paying only bride price since he had the plan to marry her like he said, but he told her that, that will obstruct his plan to travel out by him making use of his budgeted money and also it is expensive for him now to keep to take care of pregnancy, mother and baby. He then suggested she starts taking unripe papaya, parsley leaves etc to miscarry since she just missed her period. She came to me feeling confused.

I told her if the guy truly loves her and want to make her future wife finances shouldn’t be the problem…but in all, the decision is hers to make. It is obvious this guy is not that serious but may be wrong.

Just wondering how many of you would decide to marry their present girlfriend if such case presents itself. Though i do not support marriage because of pregnancy.”

“Don’t let Nnamdi Kanu mislead you, I don’t believe in NONSENSE” — Fr Mbaka

Charismatic Roman Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, has finally spoken about the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu and the agitation for secession.

In a three-minute video posted online, Mbaka insisted that Igbos were not hated.

The infulential cleric also stated that Kanu and the other Biafra fighters, should not be the ones in the forefront of the battle.

Mbaka said: “Nobody should deceive you saying that ‘Igbos are hated’. That’s how we (Igbos) believe nonsense. The poor masses are told to agitate for Biafra.

“There is nothing wrong in Biafra. But those that say they want Biafra now (or never) should come out let us see the crème of the Igbos then we all will push for Biafra.

“Let the crème de la crème among the Igbos be at the forefront while the poor masses that loiter the streets in the name of Biafra will support from behind.

“The right thing is for parents to protect their children from danger. I am not against Biafra but let the Igbo political elites; the Ubas of Anambra, Peter Obi, Ekwueme, Ekweremadu, Nnamanis, Sullivan Chime, Anyim Pius Anyim, I (Mbaka) etc should be the ones pushing for Biafra not our children who get killed on the streets every day.

“Where are the Igbo political elites? They are in hiding in Abuja and overseas.

“They have sent these children to push for Biafra and they have gone in hiding. That is not leadership. A leader should be in front to take bullets for his followers just as Christ willingly gave his life for his followers. A leader is not one who will sit and sacrifice the poor for his ambition.”

White man says saving one dog is “More Important” than a million black people

Tyler Roysdon, a firefighter got suspended after a racist remark he made on Facebook went viral.

Tyler says he’d prefer to save a dog in an emergency than a black person.. He wrote that if he had to choose between saving a dog or a black man from a building, the dog would get priority, because “one dog is more important than a million n****rs.”

Roysdon has since removed the post from his Facebook page, but a screenshot appears below.

Once township officials discovered the post, Roysdon was suspended indefinitely, according to local station WHIO-TV.

They then released an official statement about Roysdon on Thursday, confirming that he was suspended until the township’s board of trustees can meet to determine his fate:

“Recently, a Franklin Township volunteer firefighter posted unacceptable remarks on social media. Upon gaining knowledge of this information, Fire Chief Steve Bishop immediately contacted the firefighter and directed the comments be removed. The firefighter was suspended without pay until the Board of Township Trustees could meet to determine a course of action. Chief Bishop does not have the authority to terminate employees. Termination of any township employee requires a vote by the Board of Trustees.”

HuffPost reached out to Roysdon, who did not immediately respond.

A woman who identified herself as Joei Frame Roysdon told WXIX-TV that she was Roysdon’s wife and said, “He admitted that he said things that were wrong and apologized.”

She added: “Everyone deserves a second chance and is also entitled to their own opinion.”
