Western Cape Police, South Africa have confirmed the death of a 26-year-old woman who went missing two weeks ago.

Her family said Aviwe Jam Jam fled Khayelitsha, Cape Town in July, to escape her abusive boyfriend, Linda Nolili. She was last seen in the Summerville area in Kuilsriver after visiting Nolili.

Jam Jam’s body was identified by her family on Tuesday, August 8th, after it was found dumped at the Vygieskraal Stadium, Athlone, on July 29, roughly 24km from her home. She had been brutally beaten to death.

Captain FC van Wyk, who confirmed the incident said that the post mortem still needed to be concluded.

“On Monday, the body was identified by the family as that of the missing 26-year-old Aviwe Jam Jam who was reported as missing on 2017-07–22 at Mfuleni SAPS,” said Van Wyk

The boyfriend was arrested last week in connection with several other cases and is being investigated in connection with her murder, he said.

Marking Women’s Day on Wednesday, Minister of Police Fikile Mbalula visited the family at their home.

He spent more than an hour talking to them in private. Later, he told journalists that police had been looking for the boyfriend in connection with other cases.

“We will never be ruled by criminals and criminals will not rule anybody. We will find them and we will bring them to book. Their days are numbered.

“These people are not enemies to each other, but the devil has come to this community and done the things that they have done to the Jam Jam family …terrorised them.”

Aviwe’s aunt Nondumiso Zizi said her niece had told her mother that she had left for Pretoria and that she should not look for her because she was hiding from her boyfriend.

Zizi was unable to confirm when Aviwe left Khayelitsha. She said Aviwe and her boyfriend had been together for “several years” and have a 2-year-old child.

“Aviwe was in an abusive relationship with this boyfriend. Aviwe’s mother tried to warn Aviwe of this, but she wouldn’t listen. She loved [her] boyfriend, so there was nothing we could do about it.”

“Aviwe’s mother suspected that Aviwe won’t come [back] alive because the way the boyfriend was treating her.”

She said the boyfriend had come to their home looking for Aviwe and had attacked her stepfather because he thought the family was hiding Aviwe.

Zizi said the boyfriend and a group of friends attacked the stepfather with a panga and he had to get 12 stitches.

“He [the stepfather] was bleeding and the whole yard was full of blood because of them and the boyfriend climbed on top of him and said they should kill him.”

The boyfriend was arrested shortly after for assaulting the stepfather, said Mbalula.

During the visit, Aviwe’s mother Nomthandazo Jam Jam, 56, proudly showed journalists a photo of Aviwe at her graduation.

Aviwe attained a tourism degree from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT).
Nomthandazo said Aviwe would be missed because she always “brought life” to her home.

Mbalula urged women to report abuse and assault to police as soon as possible.

“Women, stand your ground because if you put up with abuse, you are putting up with death,” Mbalula warned.

A man has abandoned his 4 children at the Agege LGA Area A Maternity Office, with a short note in their hand, asking the local government authority to carter for them because he can no longer fend for them, due economic hardship.

In the note, he also noted that the mother of the children abandoned the children for him. The local government chairman, Hon. Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi, has since taken the children to a nearby police station.

He asked that proper care be given to them pending when investigation will be completed and their parents found.

A man suspected to be an accomplice of a fake pastor has said he was contracted to kidnap a virgin girl for ritual purposes.

During a Police parade , an alleged fake pastor of a white garment church in Sagamu , Kehinde Onayiga , and 55 other suspects were paraded by the Ogun State Police Command at its headquarters , Eleweran , Abeokuta on Thursday.

The suspects ’ offences allegedly range from ritual killing to kidnapping , cultism , armed robbery and impersonation.

Among the suspects paraded by the state Commissioner of Police , Ahmed Iliyasu , was Onayiga , who is alleged to have a hand in the killing of a 13- year – old girl , Anuoluwapo Ajisafe , for ritual purposes.

He alleged accomplice , Musiliu Jibril , reportedly lured the victim to Onayiga ’ s church where she was said to have been murdered.

Jibril confessed to journalists that it was Onayiga who contracted him to source for a female virgin , who he wanted to use for ritual purpose , in preparing some fetish materials for some Internet fraudsters.

He said , “ I was able to lure the girl because she knew me and the mother, too , knew me.

“ It was the pastor (Onayiga ) that contracted me to help him get a female virgin for ritual . He told me he wanted to prepare some charms for some Yahoo boys.

“ I delivered the girl to him in his church at Sagamu . He promised to pay me N 20, 000 , but I am yet to get the money . ”

Onayiga , dressed in white garment , and holding two goat horns wrapped in red cloth , denied the allegation , saying , “ It is a lie . he did not deliver any girl to me in my church. ”

Onayiga said he trained under an Islamic cleric before branching out to start a white garment church.

Asked what he used the fetish -looking goat horns wrapped in red cloth for, he responded, “ I used them to pray for those that are sick and are brought to my church for healing. ”

The teenage girl , Anuoluwapo , was said to have been missing since June 21 , 2017 and her whereabouts remains unknown till date.

Another suspect paraded for murder/ ritual killing was Bakare Olalekan , who was linked to the killing of a 16-year – old girl , Olayinka Adebayo, in Ijebu area , and reportedly sold her heart to ritualists .

Iliyasu said four members of the syndicate were already in police net , while the suspect (Olalekan ), had confessed to selling two human hearts to one of them.

He said he bought one of the human hearts for N 10, 000 from a friend called Oye .

Also nabbed were a mother , Mulika Alaba and her 16 – year -old daughter, Olamide Saliu , who allegedly dealt in Indian hemp.

A bag of Indian hemp was allegedly recovered from them.

Iliyasu said in a bid to curb criminality in the state , the command had deployed tactical and covert operatives from the Federal Special Anti -Robbery Squad , Police Mobile Force , conventional policemen , intelligence unit and Anti -Kidnapping/ Cultism to the length and breadth of the state

Fresh suspected hideout of ritualists discovered at Ile Zik, Lagos – Abeokuta Expressway. 2 suspects arrested.

A Malaysian man could face a sentence of over 12,000 years in jail if found guilty of 626 charges of sex assaults against his teenage daughter, officials said today.

It took two days for court officials to read out all 626 charges against the 36-year-old divorcee. They finished reading the charges this afternoon. The charges include 599 charges of sodomy against the 15-year-old girl, as well as counts of incest, rape and other sex crimes.

The man is said to have sexually assaulted his eldest daughter, several times a day in their apartment in Sungai Way, Petaling Jaya between January and July this year. The accused divorced the girl’s mother two years ago and had custody of the victim while his two younger daughters are staying with their mother. It was his ex-wife who reported his alleged crimes to the police and the man was arrested on July 26.

The suspect pleaded not guilty to the charges and the case will now proceed to trial. For each charge of sodomy, the father can be punished with a maximum jail term of 20 years, as well as caning. He faces a rape charge that carries a maximum sentence of 20 years, and 30 other charges of sexual assault, each punishable by up to 20 years in jail.

“He faces a prison sentence of over 12,000 years,” Aimi Syazwani, a deputy public prosecutor, told AFP.

Judge Yong Zarida Sazali denied the man bail after prosecutors warned there was a danger of him fleeing or intimidating witnesses. The suspect cannot be named to protect the identity of the victim.

A Nigerian lady simply identified as Joy, who is believed to be from Edo state has shared a footage of her kissing a white man “while on duty” on the streets of Italy.

In the video footage which is currently trending online, the lady who was in an elated mood – was seen kissing and frolicking with the man publicly right on the streets as he seem excited by smooching her.

Joy was proud of her action as she posted the video footage online for her fans to see.

This however got negative views from folks as they slammed her for being a disgrace to Edo state and Nigeria.
