Wizkid’s fans organize a procession in honour of his late mother

Fans of popular Nigerian singer, Wizkid have gone the extra mile to show their support for him by organizing a procession in honor of his late mother.

The musician recently lost his mother in undisclosed circumstances and has been very sad about it. He traveled back to Nigeria to be present for his mother’s funeral, which is scheduled for October 13th.

Many of his die-hard fans decided to honor his mother by participating in a march in her memory.

They were seen holding framed pictures of Wizkid’s mother while wearing all-black clothing. They were also accompanied by a few Nigerian police officers.

Popular media personality, Dotun Kayode, better known as Do2dtun, has called out his estranged wife, Taiwo Omotayo, for denying him access to their daughters.

Dotun took to his Instagram page to express his frustration with his ex-wife, who happens to D’banj’s sister, for preventing him from seeing their daughters, despite a court ruling granting him access to them.

As evidence, he posted court documents indicating a judge’s decision on joint child custody with his estranged wife in June 2022.

According to him, he has not been allowed to visit his two daughters, and his ex-wife has been destroying anything he sends for the kids, including birthday cakes.

He also accused his estranged wife of paying the media to disseminate false reports about him, including allegations of their marriage ending due to forced abortion, domestic violence, and emotional abuse.

Speaking further, he claimed that Taiwo’s family had silenced him using the press, the police, and mobs. However, he is now ready to speak out for the sake of his children.

He also called on several media personalities, including Nedu Wazobia and Chude Jideonwo, to conduct an interview with him.

Few hours before speaking out, Dotun had gone online to celebrate his daughters on the International Day of the Girl Child on October 11.

In the post, he expressed how much he misses his daughters and said he is still fighting to get access to them.

He wrote,

The Senior Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has faced heavy criticism for publicly praying for Israel amid its conflict with Hamas.

The clergyman took to social media to share a video of himself offering prayers for Israel as it continues to fight against the Hamas terrorist group in the Gaza Strip, Palestine.

In a one minute, thirty-six seconds video, Pastor Adeboye said,

“Hello my beloved brothers in Israel, I want you to know that we are praying for you, that all members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God all over the world are standing by you at this critical moment. The Almighty God, the holy one of Israel will give you absolute victory and give you permanent peace from now on in the mighty name of Jesus”.

Concerned residents in Lokoja, Kogi State, have rescued a small kid who had been buried alive by his older sibling.

The older brother was apprehended while torturing and burying his little brother alive, according to a viral video.

The teenage kid stated that his mother had given him orders to discipline the bad boy for taking 1,000 naira. When he was apprehended by neighbours, the older brother had already buried his little sibling up to the level of the neck.

He said during questioning that the young child enjoys stealing and that his mother, who had become tired of the incessant thievery, had told him to bury his brother alive.

He was accused of being a yahoo boy or a ritualist, but he refuted the claims and insisted that he was only doing as he was told.

The elder brother was heard in the video speaking pidgin said; “He thief money. The last time he went to thief money, We dey ask am where he put the money, and I no know how much he thief oo but he said nah N1000. The last time he stole, nobody beat ham, and nobody touched am.”

When the people started flogging the elder brother and asking him to confess on who actually sent him to perform the alleged ritual, he said; “Nobody send me, nah my mother talk say make I punish am.”

According to a source with knowledge of the occurrence, the situation had been brought to the attention of the Police Force, D Division, Lokoja.

Nollywood actress, Lydia Lawrence has taken to social media to share a testimony of how she overcame a serious health issue that nearly killed her.

In a lengthy Instagram post, the actress explained that she had intended to keep her life’s bittersweet experience to herself but had pondered how the devil would feel if he discovered that she was celebrating his failure.

Lydia Lawrence described how her illness progressed to the point that she required four pints of blood, resulting in a poor response from her body and the need for oxygen to breathe.

She stated that because it was the worst moment of her life, she didn’t believe she’d survive.

She endured a second operation in September, fought for her life, but won.

She wrote,

“Wanted to keep this moment of my life to myself but then I asked: how will the devil see me rejoice at the fact that he failed?
I need to share my testimony. Never in my life have I been so sick, that I needed, not 1 or 2, but 4 pints of blood to keep up. While taking the 4th pint, my body reacted so badly to it that I urgently needed oxygen to breathe. Scariest moment of my life cos I thought I wouldn’t make it. To cut the story short, the devil came again but God showed up for me like He has always done.

Last year September I was fighting for my life while battling 3 ear surgeries. This year again, it went from flexing to another surgery and another fight for life.

Funny enough, so many people kept calling me while I was hospitalized, saying I came to their minds and if I was okay.

Guys, it’s always important to check up on your loved ones. Thanks a lot to everyone who checked in on me. I’m fine, recovering, and doing a lot better.

She claimed that she did not want her parents to be implicated online by posting the video and that she had no idea it would go viral.

Recall that in the video, the girl’s father was reprimanding her for requesting an iPhone instead of focusing on her studies.

The father, said to be a pastor, was heard telling her to sell her body to raise money to buy herself an iPhone if that’s what she wants.

He repeatedly said he has not seen anything that shows that his future is secured with her and expressed gratitude that he has other children.

The angry father continued by stating that even students who have gained admission to study medicine haven’t asked for an iPhone, whereas she, who has not yet gained admission to study Yoruba, is making such a request. He urged her to quickly gain admission and leave his house.

The young TikToker uploaded a video in a recent update acknowledging her error. She claimed that after seeing the video, her parents told her that she made a mistake by filming them.

She further disclosed that her parents had explained to her that they had declined to buy her an iPhone 8 because they believed the moment was not right for such a device.

The lady also explained that she had not failed JAMB, WAEC, or NECO as had been implied online, and that the real reason she was staying at home was so that she may pursue her chosen course of study.

Big Brother Naija “All Stars” finalist, Cynthia Nwadiora, better known as Ceec, has spoken up about the perceived mistreatment of the season’s winner, Ilebaye.

Recall that fans were under the notion that Ilebaye was bullied by some of the housemates during the show.

This narrative began when one of the male housemates, Ike Onyema, trashed Ilebaye’s clothing on the way to the washroom.

Ike Onyema revealed that he vandalised Ilebaye’s property as a result of what she did to him at the house. According to him, Seyi is like a brother to him, and after being humiliated by Ilebaye, he felt compelled to fight on his behalf.

Ceec claimed in an interview with Toke Makinwa that she was astonished when she learned that the narrative outside was that the housemates harassed Ilebaye.

She alleged that several housemates looked after Ilebaye in the house. She described how Mercy Eke assisted her in showering whenever she was intoxicated, cleaning her vomit, and getting her dressed up.

Big Brother Naija All Stars housemate Cynthia Nwadiora, popularly known as Ceec has spoken in a recent interview about the clash with fellow housemate Alex weeks after she was dragged by netizens for speaking wrongly about Alex.

The reality TV star mentioned in the interview with TV host Toke Makinwa and Miz Vick that she owes Alex a conversation because the public misunderstood her.

A young Nigerian lady has taken to social media to lament bitterly after discovering that her boyfriend is a serial cheat.

In a series of tweets shared on the micro-blogging platform x, the lady with the handle @ceexz3 expressed her pain and heartbreak after finding out that her partner had cheated on her.

She revealed that she found out about his philandering ways when she perceived a feminine scent on his manhood in the early hours of Wednesday, October 11.

She also mentioned that she went through his phone and found other incriminating conversations that confirmed her suspicion of his cheating.

Following her distressing experience, she stated that she would rather marry for money than love because all men are cheaters. She further expressed her desire to marry a wealthy man who is a virgin.

An unconfirmed report circulating on social media claims that a DNA test has proven that the late singer Mohbad is the biological father of his son, Liam.

This comes a few weeks after a public outcry for a DNA test to determine the paternity of the 5-month-old boy following the singer’s sudden death.

It is worth recalling that the ‘Peace’ crooner passed away on Tuesday, September 12, after a hospital visit. However, the circumstances surrounding his death are still under investigation at the time of writing this story.

After his death, his wife and son began receiving donations from celebrities and sympathizers, which prompted some individuals, led by the controversial internet personality Very Dark Man, to demand a DNA test to verify the boy’s paternity before further donations were made.

A lady identified as Janet, who is a student at a Nigerian university, has completed a thirty-day dry fast after claiming to have received instructions from God to begin the fast.

The video was shared on Instagram by Joyce Uguru, who happens to be a coursemate of the lady. Joyce posted the video with the caption, “And I was the first person she blessed. I’m grateful, Lord.”

Days earlier, Joyce had posted on her Instagram page that a coursemate of hers ‘Janet’ had been absent from class for a month and a week now and her lodge mates were complaining that she refused to open the door since she began the fasting and prayer.

When visited by her course mate, Janet informed them that she received an instruction from God to embark on the fast and was not going to stop until she’s done.

However, Janet added an extra one week to her fasting and prayer indoors. According to her, nobody was supposed to see or visit her while she was at it.

Now that she’s done with the fast, Joyce has again posted on her Instagram page to notify people that Janet was done with the fast.

The video which has gained a lot of reactions and views left many emotional, while others were in disbelief and told her to seek therapy and work on her mental health.

A lady identified as ‘Hydonni’ has received a lot of backlash from Netizens after posting a picture she took in a restaurant restroom naked.

The picture that she posted on X formerly known as Twitter has since been circulating on every other social media platforms since when she posted them, which has received a lot of reactions from people who questioned her reason for doing such.

However, some internet users were quick to dig out screenshots of a chat between her and her father, which she had posted a few months back under a thread that read “Quote this with a conversation with your parent.”

In that conversation, her dad had attempted to talk to her about what she posts online, and she had responded rudely, asking him to let her be and live her life as she wanted to.

This prompted netizens to drag her to filth on the platform for stripping down to her birthday suit in a public toilet and taking pictures.

Hydonni, however, doesn’t care about what anyone thinks about her as she continues to clap back at her critics.

Award-winning Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has landed in Lagos, Nigeria, in preparation for the funeral of his late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun.

The singer’s mother passed away suddenly on Friday, August 18, as confirmed by his longtime manager, Sunday Are.

“Yes, she passed away this morning, around 1:30 am,” he was quoted as saying.

Almost two months after her tragic death, the family announced her funeral arrangements via an e-flyer shared on social media.

A wake and tribute will be held in her honor on Thursday, October 12, following which she will be laid to rest on Friday.

Ahead of the funeral, Wizkid was spotted at an airport in Nigeria upon his return to the country after several weeks of being away.

A Nigerian man from Bayelsa State, Oroufagha Emomotimi, has taken to social media to announce the end of his marriage to his wife, Benedicta.

This new development comes five months after he publicly apologized to his wife for accusing her of adultery and questioning the paternity of their son.

At the time, he blamed the devil, jealousy and anger for his action. He also averred that the accusations were false and pleaded for her forgiveness.

Prior to the apology, Emomotimi, a former Assistant Secretary of the All Progressives Congress APC, had taken to social media to call out his wife, friends and family for betraying him.

He also said that he is hell bent on finding out if he is the biological father of the child he shares with his wife.

In a recent update, Emomotimi has disclosed that he is not the father of the child and has told his wife to go and look for the child’s biological father. He has also announced the end of the marriage, both physically and spiritually.

Recall that media personality, Charles Born, took to social media to criticise the reality star for storming out of the session after waiting for a few minutes.

Charles Born stated that they were interviewing Pere and Adekunle at the moment, but Ilebaye, couldn’t wait.

Ilebaye, on the other hand, has stepped forward to put the record right by telling her version of what happened.

According to Ilebaye, she raced to the interview and skipped breakfast in order to be on time.

She said that she had several interviews scheduled, both in person and online, and that she needed to be on the go.
