In a press briefing which was held earlier today in Lagos, the Lagos State Government has disclosed her plans to relocate the famous Computer Village, to ICT Park Katangowa in Agbado/OkeOdo LCDA.
The new development has of course, caused mixed reactions among Lagosians who have put into consideration the changes it would cost – not only would the change have effect on customers but also on the merchants who have stores and all.
But of course, the government would have plans definitely, and we’d be sure to bring updates as soon.
A female first time visitor has been left stranded in Nigeria, after a Lagos Uber driver robbed her of over a million naira. The victim, who is a South African and has been identified as Mongy Mathobela, wrote:
“I’m a visitor in Nigeria. I went to the bank to withdraw money in Lekki, so he saw the money that I had it in my bag.
He left me stranded on the road luckily, I had my phone on me because I wanted to buy something on the side of the road. I even bought him food and paid him more than what he was supposed to be paid and inside my bag it was my passport and money 500k naira and $2000.

Senator Isiaka Adeleke died on Sunday, 23rd of April, 2017… and since his death, people have been pointing accusing fingers at his political colleagues.
Apparently, an alleged medical report from a new outlet claims that the 62-year-old politician died of a heart attack after an overdose of pain killers.
This information has failed to appeal to the conscience of his supporters who believe his death was a ploy to prevent him from becoming the governor of Osun State at the expiration of the tenure of Governor Rauf Aregbesola in 2018.
The late Adeleke’s son, Tunji, has also taken to his Snapchat to emphasize that his father was a victim of political power-play.

On the 6th of July I resigned voluntarily from my place of job due to breach of contract from the Indians I was working with. My job became hell instead of heaven for me. I was paid off my remaining contract terms and I was back again in the streets again looking for another job. Days went into weeks and weeks ran into months.
I woke up every morning starting at my mail box and hoping that something would come forth from the numerous applications I sent out. Whoever told me that I would stay at home for this long period of time searching for a job, I would have seen the person as an enemy of progress.
Months ran into months and it dawned on me that I was currently spending my 6th month at home and it was a new year 2017. The prayer intensity increased as I continued to bind and cast every spirit of my village people.
Luck dawned on me and I got two invites simultaneously; one from Indians again and the other from an indigenous firm. The Indian firm had a higher pay, and they were willing to increase it just to convince me join them. After due consultations, praying and fasting, I decided to go for the Nigerian firm whose salary scale was far below my level but I felt I would have peace of mind. I was initially employed to spear head the marketing activities of the company, but along the line they continued to add up other job functions which even included uploading contents to the company’s website and managing it. I willingly accepted so as to develop myself in those areas.
One faithful day in the second month of my new workplace, I got a call with a foreign number asking me if I could have chance for a Skype interview. I accepted and the interview was conducted and I was being begged to take up a marketing manager’s role with an Indian firm here in Nigeria. I played along till the salary part and when it was dropped, it was too good to believe. I accepted the job and promised to resume but deep down I knew I wasn’t going to resume. I hated working for Indians and I felt I should be loyal to my Nigerian employer.
My parents were in support of my loyalty and my boss even asked me not to dump the company but instead, I should grow with it. I continued and my hope of better days and the hope that my little beginning would take me places kept me going. A point came and my boss even praised me for being such a good addition to his firm and promised me heaven and earth.
I was even sent on training with my prospective firm, which I didn’t go because I felt that I wasn’t going to resume with them the next month.
Towards the ending of the month, I was asked to undertake an assignment in my current firm. I was asked to design a brochure using Corel draw.
“Wetin concern Corel draw and Marketing na?” I asked myself. Me trying to be a good employee, I decided to give it a trial so as to show that I still love my job and would do anything to keep it.
After designing, I submitted and was congratulated on a job well done. Just the Sunday that ended that month, I got a message on my Whatsapp that said “When you are free please call me.”
I immediately called my boss and with happiness at least for the last month’s salary, he told me…
“I am sorry to inform you that you will no longer be resuming with us for the next month…” I never really allowed him to land as I terminated the call right there in the middle of his explanations and bullshit!!
He continued to call till on Monday morning as I picked up my new suit and tie and resumed work with the nationals I dreaded the most!
“What if I had rejected the Job before hand?”

Freedom Nyathi, a Zimbabwean, has been arrested and sent to jail for 8-months after he was found guilty of having sexual intercourse with a donkey.
Freedom was arraigned before the Zvishavane Magistrate Cocurt, where he was sentenced to 8-months imprisonment and was charged with ‘bestiality’.

Abiodun Joseph, a notorious internet fraudster has been arrested after he impersonated the ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi via a Facebook Account, and duped two Nigerian ladies based in the United States of America of various sums of money.
Joseph who was apprehended by men of the Ogun state police command last Wednesday, April 19th at Ilese confessed to the crime. He says he used the Ooni’s pictures on his Facebook account, and in no time, Ladies started sending him friend requests, with many comment about his good looks and them wanting to be his “Oloris”… and of course, this was how he was able to defraud them.
“But in our chats, I told them that they have to pay some money if they are really interested in being my Oloris. Two of them based in the U.S fell for the scam and sent some money totaling N600,000 to me through money transfer mode” he said.
He went further to disclose that the ladies were really desperate, as some of them sent nude pictures, showing their breasts and private parts. Joseph, however, said one of ladies had demanded that he should buy her a N45m house for her.
But Joseph said he told her that she had to pay N5m out of the amount and he would make up the balance for her. He was still waiting for that N5m last Wednesday before the police swooped on his residence and arrested him.
Reacting to this, the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, said Joseph had been using his Facebook and Whatsapp accounts to dupe unsuspecting members of the public. Joseph said he opened the Facebook account October last year, purposely to defraud people.

Davido’s Dad, Chief Deji Adeleke was spotted at the burial ceremony of his Elder Brother, Late Isiaka Adeleke.
The first Civilian Governor of Osun state, Senator Isiaka Adeleke, who died on Sunday April 23, has been buried.
Adeleke who was a serving senator and a three-term senator elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2015, died at the age of 62.
He was buried today, April 24, in his country home, Ede, Osun state according to Muslim rites.

Incase you are not aware Mr Immanuel, your post as regards men leaving the “old cargoes” and proposing to fresh secondary school leavers who you think are “naïve and loyal” is based on the fact that you have issues with self esteem, you are not secured, not informed and not fit to be an educator at all, because if an educator of great reputation like you can be making such statement, then there is a problem with our education sector.
How did you even get to the education sector in the first place, you should be in the porn sector!!! So you want to destroy the lives of our innocent girls because they don’t know anything yet right, because of your insecurity and selfish desires, you want to ruin innocent girls’ lives right? God forbid!!.
I expected that as a young educator, you should be using your 21st century creativity to promote the education sector, to promote gender equality in all areas especially the education sector that you are in, but rather, you have turned to one that wants to destroy it, making derogatory statements that shouldn’t be from you. Am going to give you three reasons why your post and points are foolish and disparaging which doesn’t qualify you to be an educator.
Firstly, how will you say men should propose to secondary school girls because they are naïve? That is not based on Logistics at all, it is based on insecurity. People like you cannot woo a lady who is mature and made with self-esteem because you are inferior, so you decide to deceive the small girls who doesn’t know anything,by using 500 naira to deceive them . Please Mr Immanuel I want to understand because it doesn’t make any sense at all.
Are you telling the men to kill the dreams of small girls with marriage Or what? Ok,lets look at it from this angle, imagine someone trying to marry your sister in secondary school or immediately after secondary, will you agree to the proposal? Imagine she is your daughter and someone wants to her, after secondary school, will you agree to it? Why didn’t you say that the boys too should go and get married immediately after secondary school?
Secondly, I expected you to be informed as an educator to understand that one of the major problems of Nigeria is Low participation of Women in activities that enhances growth and national development, how are we going to fight it if our girls are married off without the right knowledge and information to change things in the country?.
Dont you know if they are married off without the right and solid knowledge they will only belong to kitchen, living room and the other room, is that what you want for our girls in this 21st century? Did you hear of Toke Makinwa who is currently in the U.s lecturing? , if she had been married off after secondary school or after Waec , do you think she would have gone this far? Guy give your self-brain and stop being foolish.
Don’t try to be popular by being foolish, those supporting your points now will be the ones to leave you when you get into trouble cause this sure will definitely lead to trouble if care is not taken.
Finally, Based on Logistics, you are not supposed to be in the education sector because if you can be saying this openly, then the destinies of children especially girls in your care are not safe,what knowledge are you going to be dishing out to them? “out of the abundance of the heart…………………………..’’
We need the girls and the women for the growth and development of Nigeria. Don’t you get, if Nigerian men subscribes to this foolish opinion of yours then we are all in trouble, our daughters are in trouble, our sisters are in trouble and our women are in trouble, which will make us all be in trouble!! The 58-year-old woman who attempted suicide by trying to jump off the 3rd mainland bridge has been arraigned to court and granted N500,000 bail.
The Ebute-Meta Magistrates Court, Lagos, on Monday also ordered the textile dealer, Mrs. Titilayo Momoh, to undergo psychiatric evaluation following her arraignment by the police for attempted suicide.
Recall, The woman was on March 24 rescued from jumping off the Third Mainland Bridge into the Lagoon by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command.

According to him, the photo is of a Nigerian couple who have been married for 53 years.

Senator Isiaka Adeleke has been buried. The three-term Nigerian senator who was currently representing Osun West Senatorial District passed on aged 62 on Sunday, 23rd April and he has been buried.
The burial attracted many people who wailed and cried as he was lowered to mother earth. The influential politician and chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) died on Sunday at Bikets Hospital in Oshogbo, the Osun state capital after suffering a heart attack.
Isiaka is also an uncle to Nigerian musician, Davido.
