An official North Korean website warned Monday that Pyongyang will “wipe out” the United States if Washington starts a war on the peninsula, the latest tit-for-tat sabre-rattling that has sent tensions soaring in the region, AFP reports.

According to Vice President Mike Pence, the US supercarrier Carl Vinson will arrive in waters off the Korean peninsula “in a matter of days” amid reports the North could be preparing a sixth nuclear test.

Pyongyang is still believed to be far from reaching its aim of building a missile capable of reaching the US mainland, but the secretive nation has ramped up its rhetoric in recent weeks and has carried out two rocket tests this month alone.

In a series of editorials the Rodong Sinmun newspaper — the official mouthpiece of the ruling Workers’ Party — said the North’s forces were undeterred and called the US strike group’s imminent arrival “undisguised military blackmail”.

“Such threat may startle a jellyfish, but can never work on the DPRK,” it said Monday, using the country’s official name, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

A day earlier it said the North’s revolutionary forces were “combat-ready to sink the US nuclear aircraft carrier with a single strike”. Pyongyang’s rhetoric intensifies every spring, when the US and South Korea hold joint exercises it sees as rehearsals for an attack on the North.

A separate editorial on the North’s propaganda website Uriminzokkiri Monday claimed that the dispatching of the Carl Vinson signalled a war: “It is proof that an invasion of the North is nearing day by day.”

The editorial, described as being written by an army officer, said it was a “big miscalculation” for Washington to compare the North to Syria, which did not launch an “immediate counterattack” after a US cruise missile strike earlier this month.

In the event of an attack, it said, “The world will witness how Washington’s rash nuclear aircraft carriers are turned into a huge pile of steel and buried at sea and how a country called America is wiped out from the Earth.”

A middle aged man has been arrested in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital for possessing human parts.

Tribune Online gathered that the suspect had been monitored by residents of Ita Kudimo, Abata Suban, Pakata area of Ilorin West local government in the past few days after speculation grew that he possessed a corpse in his building.

It was also gathered that the neighbours of the suspect swooped on his residence at about noon on Sunday and the suspect was allegedly caught with human parts.

He was later dragged to Adewole Police station in the Ilorin metropolis amidst shouting and rain of curses by the crowd of people.

It was also gathered that house of the suspect was demolished and his properties were carted away by hoodlums who took advantage of the situation to perpetuate their dastardly acts.

Speaking on the development, the police public relations officer, Ajayi Okasanmi, who confirmed the incident, said that the command had commenced investigation on the alleged crime.

Also speaking on the development, the commissioner of Police in Kwara State, Mr Olusola Amore, who did not give the name of the suspect, said that, “it is true that a man was caught with human parts today.

He was being beaten at Kudimo area of Adewole on Sunday. There was a crowd trying to lynch the man. In fact, they had set ablaze his car because they discovered that some odour was coming out of his apartment.

On a closer look, they discovered that he had human parts, skulls and other parts, while they were trying to lynch him, police was informed and moved to the place and caught the man arrested.

We arrested him so that we can know other people connected with that business they are doing. The case is now at Adewole but the State CID will take over the case.

We are going to get to know who and who are involved with him. presently, the case is under investigation.”

A 300-level student of Kwame Nkruman University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana, has been arrested for sodomizing a 10-year-old-girl.

Apparently, Kwame after the evil act gave the 10-year-old a cocktail of painkillers which apparently, caused her kidneys to fail, which later led to her death.

Kwame was then later arrested on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, while relaxing in a sofa chair at his parent’s house at Anwomaso a suburb of the Kumasi Metropolis.

His arrest was spurred by the outcome of series of medical reports conducted on the 10 year old after complaining of having some complications on her anus and sent to the hospital for treatment.

Sources familiar with the incident say the young girl was being fostered by the family of the KNUST level 300 student, a situation the young man took undue advantage of, and sexually abused her.

The young man is reported to have given the 10 year old girl eight tablets of paracetamol to kill the pains anytime he has sexual intercourse with her through the anus. The young man is also reported to have warned the girl not to reveal his sexual encounters with her to anyone or else she will die.

Think Ghana reports that multiple lab tests conducted on the girl have revealed some damages on her anus, intestines and kidneys also badly affected.

As at the time of this report the young girl who was subjected to this unfortunate abuse by the level 300 student of KNUST who is now in the grips of the police had succumbed to her injuries and damage to her internal organs.

The police have intensified investigations into the matter and have arraigned the young before the court.

Our heart goes out to the family of this little girl who suffered such unimaginable abuse at the hands of a person who was suppose to protect her.

Reports going rounds claimed that a Doctor in the Northern Part of Nigeria, allegedly declared an “unborn baby” dead in his mother’s woman, amputated his arm, only for the baby to be brought out Alive from the womb.

Aishat Alubankudi who shared the story on Facebook said:

He took his brother’s wife to the hospital and the Dr sought and obtained his consent to amputate the child’s hand and removed the baby since according to the Dr the baby had since died in the womb.

On the medical advice that, that way the mother’s life could be saved, the baby’s hand was amputated and the baby was removed but only to realised that the baby was not only alive but heart and healthy.

This must be investigated, it doesnt add up.
