Classic Nollywood actress, Shan George took to her IG page to share this throwback photo from when she was pregnant with her first child and recounted how she hadn’t taken any photos at all from her pregnancy days, so she called a photographer up to take a snap few hours before she went into labour.
She wrote:
“My first child. I realized i, didn’t have any pix during the pregnancy. So this Saturday Morning, i was in d first stage of labour. I quickly got dressed and called a photographer to take this pix. November 22nd. I put to bed later that night at 2am. Sunday, Nov 23rd. To a handsome bouncing Baby Boy.”
A 76-year old Pa Sandys Omadeli Uvwoh who is a former Community Trust Chairman (CTC) of Ugborodo community in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta state, was on Tuesday January 17th, murdered by about 10 unknown men at his home, Number 1 Akugbe Street home, Enerhen, Uvwie Local Government Area in the Delta State.
About 10 men, all masked, stormed his home in the early hours of the day, locked his wife and children inside a room before strangulating the community leader who many described as a fearless man.
Confirming the incident, the state’s police Public Relations Officer, Andrew Aniamaka, said the incident happened at about 5am.
“We have received report of the death of Pa Sandys Omadeli Uvwoh. He was allegedly murdered at about 5a.m., Tuesday, by masked men at his home.
The DPO, Enerhen Division, is already leading a team investigating the matter before the Command gives a detailed report.”

The Atheists in Kenya Society have asked their government to declare February 17 a public holiday to celebrate the “freedom” that the non-believers’ body offer.
In a letter addressed to interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery, the society said it was their constitutional right to receive equal treatments, equal protection and benefits of the law.
“On the 17th of February, we want to celebrate the fact that atheism frees up a lot of time that would otherwise be wasted in worship. We want to celebrate atheism because it prevents one from being ripped off by religious charlatans,” the society’s president harrison Mumia said.
“We want to celebrate atheism because it provides great freedom and at the same time great responsibility, since we are not looking forward to the promise of heaven or the punishment of hell.
“We want to celebrate atheism because we can now do things without worrying about metaphysical reward or punishment. We want to celebrate the fact that the results of our actions as atheists are our responsibility and we can’t blame it on sin,” he concluded.
A Brazilian mother stabbed her 17-year-old son to death because he was gay after two thugs she hired to kill him failed to do so.
Tatiana Lozano Pereira, 32, admitted to killing her son Itaberli Lozano in Cravinhos, Sao Paulo.
According to local reports, Pereira had long rejected her son because he was gay.
They had an explosive row at Christmas after which Itaberli moved in with his grandmother. Pereira pretended to forgive him and, on December 29, urged him to return home.
However she had secretly hired hitmen Miller da Silva Barissa, 18, and Victor Roberto da Silva, 19, to kill her son. She hid them inside her home under orders to attack him when he entered.
However they failed to kill him and so she grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed her son to death.
According to local reports, Pereira and her husband, Alex Pereira, 30, the victim’s stepfather, then took her son’s body to an abandoned area and burned it.
The victim’s paternal grandmother reported his disappearance to police.
Officers became suspicious because Tatiana had not reported him missing herself and seemed surprisingly indifferent about his disappearance.
His charred remains were eventually found on January 7, in a nearby field. Police also seized two knives from the house.
Authorities said the mother confessed to the killing during a police interrogation.
She also implicated the hired thugs for their part but maintained her husband was innocent. Police said he would only be charged over concealment of the body.
Dario Rosa, the victim’s uncle, told police Itaberli had always been rejected by his mother because he was gay. He said:
‘He had a job, he was very polite, [and] he never quarreled with anyone. He only had problems with his mother, who did not accept that he was a homosexual.’
‘A mother has to love her son, not kill [them]. [This] family is torn, [and] it will be difficult to recover.’
Tatiana was sent to a women’s prison in Cajuru, while the three men were transferred to a jail in Santa Rosa de Viterbo. They are being kept in prison while the investigation continues.

A Ghanaian landlord has reportedly killed his physically-challenged tenant at Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region.
The landlord, who is identified simply as Mr Oppong was reported to have confronted the tenant, Nana Konadu simply because she failed to flush the household toilet after use.
According to Accra’s Rainbow radio, the landlord out of anger during the confrontation, hit Nana Konadu’s head with a metal object.
After the incident, Nana complained of pains and was admitted to a hospital where she died three days after the attack. Doctors confirmed she died of blunt force trauma.
A woman has accused her husband of working in lieu with doctors to have her womb removed without her consent – Kafilat revealed this last Thursday while appealing to an Ibadan Customary Court to dissolve her five-year marriage to Musiliu.
According to her, her womb was removed while she was undergoing a caesarean section for the delivery of her first child and she had no idea about it until recently.
“My lord, Musiliu has systematically rendered me barren, because I can no longer conceive due to the removal of my womb during a caesarean surgery when I was trying to deliver my first child.
“While in the hospital, he should have informed any of my relatives that for me to have a safe delivery, my womb must be removed.
“It is not until recently that Musiliu wanted to be having sexual intercourse with me that he directed me to go for family planning.
“Then, medical personnel told me that I no longer have womb. Worst still, Musiliu is a drunkard and insensitive in all aspect of life.” Kafilat told the court.
Musiliu did not deny the allegations made by his wife but proceeded to plead with the court to help keep his marriage intact.
“My lord, it is true that her womb was removed but the doctor informed me that her womb had already been damaged and the only option was total removal for her safe delivery.The doctor also advised me not to let her know until over a year when she could bear the pain,” Musiliu said.
Musiliu’s plea was not granted as the marriage was dissolved by the court president, Mr Henric Agbaje.
Mr Agbaje also awarded custody of the couple’s four-year-old son to Kafilat and ordered Musiliu to make a monthly payment of N4,000 for their son’s upkeep in addition to taking responsibility for his education.
This past Sunday, a gruesome lightning struck and took the lives of six people, leaving many others injured with severe burns at a funeral, which held in Binga District of Zimbabwe.
According to Zim News, the people had taken shelter under a tree when a bolt of lightning struck, killing six people on the spot.
Speaking about the tragic incident, Chief Siachilaba from Binga said that they died while attending his late sister’s funeral at her homestead when the tragedy struck.
He said when it started raining, some of the people attending the funeral took shelter under the tree which was later struck by lightning.
In a series of tweets, the President stated that the Federal Government will support the Borno government in handling the situation.
He said:
“I received with regret news that the Air Force, working to mop up Boko Haram insurgents, accidentally bombed a civilian community in Rann, Borno State.
I sympathise with the families of the dead, and with the injured, and the Government and people of Borno State.
The Federal Government will fully support the Borno State Government in dealing with the situation and attending to the victims.”

Last year, a woman approached me that she wanted to share what she has been going through with her husband and I actually posted it. He was cheating and throwing it to her face and had pictures of the women too. I posted it here and if I remember vividly I told her that I will not post pictures of the women because Facebook will yank me off and a lot of you here also said no to it that I will get blocked.
Turns out she is the wife of the guy that was assassinated and I am sorry that has changed my perspective in the whole matter. I am not taking sides and I am sorry if I implied she may be guilty but with the story I had before and what I now have, that guy was lousy and anybody could have killed him, maybe her maybe not, let the court decide and let karma decide but I am morally obliged to post her own side of the story because she reached out to me and I was too busy to follow it up and even if you tag her guilty, She deserves to be heard and I am going to make sure of that.
Now the pictures are explicit and go against my professional ethics but let me explain, this guy I do not yet get what, why and how but he has naked pictures of a lot of women, their faces are all showing and obviously they posed for those pictures but he sent this to his wife and was bold enough to defend his cheating to the fact that he was not getting satisfied at home and that the women had bigger booty than his wife. I will post that part too.
Who killed him?? Not for me or anyone to say except the police but with that lifestyle it could be just anybody or like I was also told Mberi is notorious for murdering rich folks and it is not unheard of for someone to be murdered. A final year Business Administration undergraduate of a privately owned University in Oghara (name withheld) in Delta State, on Sunday allegedly ran mad after she was reportedly pummeled by her lover boyfriend.

Nigerian US Army Veteran, Chuks Okebata was abducted and murdered when he came back to Nigeria to celebrate the Yuletide holidays with his family in Imo state..
New disheartening videos show the hell that the deceased army veteran was going through with his wife before he was killed.
The deceased, who is a native of Umuduruorie Umuomumu Mbieri in Mbaitoli LGA, was in a serious marital war with his wife in the States before he died – the feud between the couple was bad to the extent that the wife didn’t mind sending the father of her sons to jail unless he left their home and two sons.
In some of the videos, you will see the two boys weeping uncontrollably when Chuks told them he was leaving so that he doesn’t end up in jail.
He returned home to Nigeria after being away in the US for so long and ended up dead just days into his visit to Nigeria. He was abducted and shot dead at exactly 5pm on the 12th of Jan 2017.

According to multiple reports, Chidinma Okeke, the former beauty queen for Anambra State, will be appearing in a Lagos Court this morning.

The court she is to appear will not be disclosed yet for obvious reasons.
Her appearance is in relation to the arraignment of one of her blackmailers, the man she paid money into his account to avoid the release of the controversial sex video.
The man is being arraigned today and the DSS is the agency in charge of the case.
The police have arraigned a 20-year-old housemaid, Loveth Emmanuel, before an Ebute-Meta Magistrate’s Court for allegedly stealing N700,000 from the safes of her boss, identified only as Rufus.
It was alleged that the suspect used a stick of broom to open four safes and stole the money at their residence on Sholanke Street in the Ebute-Meta area of Lagos State.
She was alleged to have attempted to flee when the boss alerted policemen from the Denton division, who arrested her.Rufus described the suspect as an ingrate, saying he treated her well and gave her the same privilege as his children.
He said Emmanuel, who was brought to his family by an agent, stole money meant for his children’s school fees and jumped into a fast moving vehicle in a bid to escape.
However, the 20-year-old claimed that her boss got her arrested because she wanted to sit for an examination, adding that it was when she was not given time for the exam that she decided to flee.
The Cross River State indigene said the theft allegation happened since July 2016, and she had been forgiven until she was arrested while going for the exam.
Emmanuel, who claimed to be an orphan, said she started staying with Rufus about a year ago, and she was not given any breathing space in the house.
She was, however, arraigned on two counts of stealing.
The defence counsel, Okoya Sholope, asked the court to grant the defendant bail in liberal terms, adding that the offence was bailable.
The magistrate, Mrs. M.A. Olajuwon, consequently granted her bail in the sum of N200,000 with one surety in like sum, adding that the surety must be resident in Lagos with evidence of tax payment to the state.
