Why I didn’t marry Pasuma – Ronke Odusanya

image

Background

I hail from Ogun State. I was born into a Christian home and I had a strict upbringing. Even though my parents separated, my childhood was fun and I have so many good memories. While my mum has yet to remarry, my dad remarried and I lived with him for some time.

Education
I attended St. Benedict Nursery & Primary School, Lagos, and Federal Government Girls’ College, Akure. Afterwards, I studied Mass Communication at the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye.

Acting
I became interested in acting when I was at the university. As an undergraduate, I used to feature in plays that were staged in school. Professionally, I started acting about 16 years ago. I joined Nollywood and took part in some English movies. I joined Oga Bello’s Awada Kerikeri Theatre Group, in the year 2000, and that was where I honed my acting skills.

Movies
In 2001, I featured in my first Yoruba movie, Baba Ologba, alongside Adebayo Salami, aka Oga Bello, and Femi Adebayo. Since then, I have featured in several others and I have played lead roles in many movies as well.

Challenges
Life is full of challenges and I encountered so many obstacles when I started acting. Firstly, my father was not happy that I became an actress. When he discovered, he was very angry because he thought I would get a proper job. Besides, nobody in my father’s family had ever become an actress. Most of them were doctors, lawyers, engineers, etc. My father and my stepmother did not support me and they tried to frustrate my ambition. At some point, he asked me to move out of his house if I was bent on becoming an actress. I went to live with my mum and even though she was not happy at what I had decided to do with my life, she did not fail to support me. Another challenge I faced was the poor remuneration. There were times when I was not even paid at all but I did not allow that to discourage me because of the passion I have for the job.

Nicknames
I have several nicknames. At the beginning of my career, I used to be known as Ronke AKO (Awada Kerikeri Organisation). I am also known as Becky, which was the character I played in Funke Akindele-Bello’s two-part movie, Jenifa. I think the nickname that has stuck with me is Flakky Ididowo. I got that pseudonym after I played Folake in a movie produced by someone I respect so much, Fathia Balogun.

Movie production
I am not only an actress, I am also a producer. I have produced several movies in the past and I just finished work on two movies. I like to make good films and that is why I don’t come out with movies every now and then. I am a professional and I know what a good movie should look like. I have set a standard for myself and I don’t want to disappoint my fans.

Physique
People say I have a provocative figure but I did not create myself. When I was younger, people used to taunt me and I would cry. Over time, I have come to love my body irrespective of whether I have unusually large breasts or buttocks. When I walk on the streets of Lagos, men look at me in a seductive manner but I don’t care as long as I am not indecently dressed. In fact, some people scream obscenities at me. Some call me Cowbell and I either laugh it off or just ignore them.

Fame
I do not care about fame. It has not changed who I am and it has not altered the way I relate with people be it my family, friends or fans. I am a very simple person and generally down-to-earth and forthright. To a large extent, I am an introvert and I like to spend a lot of time indoors. I rarely go out except it is very necessary.

Marriage
Being in the limelight has it disadvantages. One of the demerits of being in the limelight is that one finds it difficult to find true love. You can’t tell if that man or woman loves you for who you are or because you are a celebrity. I will get married when God says it is my time. My time has yet to come and that is why I am still single. Anyone who rushes into marriage will definitely rush out, so I am taking my time. Unlike it was speculated sometime ago, I have never been married.

Pasuma and I
Not all relationships lead to marriage and such was my relationship with Pasuma. Even though we are no longer dating, we are still good friends. The fact that we are both celebrities may have been responsible for our inability to get married. A lot of times, celebrity marriages don’t work out because both parties are in the limelight. This breeds a lot of distrust and problems in the marriage.

Style
I like simple, nice and classy wear. I also like traditional wear because I look good in them and they are super comfortable.

Pep Guardiola Forgives Yaya Toure, Starts Him For 1st Time This Season And He’s Scored Two Goals.

yaya-toure

English club, Manchester city’s head coach, Pep Guardiola has forgiven midfielder Yaya Toure as he was among the start up line in Saturday’s Premier League clash against Crystal Palace which they won after Toure scored twice to move Man City level at the top of the league.

This is the first time Toure is playing this season for Man City in the EPL after he was frozen out by Pep Guardiola following ‘insulting’ statements from Yaya’s agent.

Toure was told by Guardiola in September that he would not play for City again unless his agent Dmitry Seluk apologised for claiming Guardiola had “humiliated” his client by omitting him from the club’s 25-man Champions League squad.

Guardiola’s statements made Yaya Toure release a statement before the FIFA international break, apologizing for his agent’s statements and urging for forgiveness from the club.

“I am seriously searching for the man after my heart” – Kannywood actress, Maryam Musa

maryam-musa-1-208x3001

In an exclusive interview with Daily Sun which was conducted in Kano, 25-year-old popular Kannywood actress, Maryam Waziri Musa, has opened up about her passion for acting, plans for marriage and why she cannot play romantic roles in movies.

Below are excerpts from the chat;

How did your acting career begin?

It began immediately after graduation from University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID). I was so passionate about acting I had to relocate from Gombe State where I grew up to Kano State. Fortunately, I met some producers who assisted me to find my feet in the Hausa movie industry. So far, I have featured in flicks like Muguwar Mace, Yan Zamani, Labarina, Ya Ko Kishiya, Yakin Mata, and Aminan Juna. However, back in Gombe, I had also acted in about three movies.

Which movie would you say brought you into the limelight?

Wow! They are Muguwar Mace and Yan Zamani.

Considering your Islamic background, how are you coping with the rules and regulations barring kissing, romance or even touching a man in a movie?

It is not just within the entertainment industry, the Islamic religion and Hausa tradition condemn it. As actresses, we are not allowed to sit close to a man who is not our husband, and since you are not married in real life, you don’t have to depict it in movies. Our religion forbids it. However, it makes the movies look fake because you cannot touch a man who is your husband in a movie, even when he is sick. Professionally, I feel bad. However, I don’t have any regret not touching a man or playing romantic roles because my Islamic faith is my priority.

Some of your counterparts are now featuring in English movies; do you have any plan to join them?

Though, we are not restricted as regards acting in English movies, I have issues considering the roles you are asked to depict. So, I don’t see myself playing such roles.

Who is the man after your heart?

No man for now, but I am seriously searching for the man after my heart.

It is a trend among Hausa ladies to wear artistic lilies on their bodies but you are not wearing any, why?

It is a tradition and a trend among our ladies. It makes us outstanding in any social gathering or wedding. I wear it especially on occasions or when I am playing the role of a bride in a movie. Meanwhile, I have lilies on my nails and a simple one on my hand.

“She called me a prostitute” – Bobrisky explains why he punched the lady in the eye

bobrisky-arrested-by-police-instagram

Nigeria’s Male Barbie Doll, Bobrisky has finally spoken up on why he attacked a lady yesterday.

Recall it was reported that the controversial king of Snapchat was arrested after assaulting a lady.

In a new audio shared on his social media, the popular crossdresser said he went to get his nails done at a Lagos mainland beauty shop. Inside, he met two ladies. While one was kind to him, the other was allegedly rude.

“She was ‘eyeing’ me for no reason,” he began. “I can’t go and accuse her for eyeing me. [But] the next minute, she brought out her phone and she was filming me while I was making my nails and I said, ‘hello madam, don’t film me‘.”

And that was when it all escalated.

Bobrisky is frequently barraged with homophobic and derogatory attacks from folks who troll him daily. But this is the first time he would physically engage with an alleged critic.

In his words, he said the lady cussed and described him using unkind terms.

“She said: ‘You are stupid, you are foolish, you this prostitute – what are you doing here?’,” he continued, adding that he warned her. “I said, ‘anymore insults from you, I will deal with you.’”

Well, she allegedly went in on him and he made do his promise by punching her in the eye. The lady then threatened to get ‘area boys’ to beat him up, but the police was invited. He got arrested but is back on his Snapchat.

Listen to his narration:

Harrysong dumps five star music, floats his own record label

five-star

Reggae Blues Singer, Harrysong has just dumped his record label – Five star music!

alter-0

This evening, Harrysong shared the logo above… Apparently, he didn’t say anything about the photo, other than a “Chop knucle” emoji..Now we’ve found out that the logo is for his own record label. He also added “Alter Plate” to his bio etcetera.

alter-01

Now the gist is, Harrysong still has a 2-year old contract with Five Star Music and trust 5star will definitely come for him… This of course will lead to another Celebrity/Entertainment fight. Ghen Ghen!

We don’t have all the details but according to someone in the know, Harrysong was unhappy with his contract and wanted out. Without informing Five Star, he started his own label.

A source close to the music label said he believes that the music label will take it up with Harrysong as they paid a lot of money to break his contract with his former music label, Kevin Luciano’s Question Mark Records before they could even sign him and they have spent a lot of money on him and he still has contractual agreements with them until 2018.

Harrysong doesn’t seem to care as he’s already launched his own label.

Atiku says Nigerian public university graduates are brainless, can’t compete with his secondary school students

ytr

Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has described graduates of Nigerian public universities as brainless, saying they cannot communicate in English with the students of his private secondary school, the American University of Nigeria (AUN) Academy.

Abubakar, who spoke on Thursday evening in Yola during his birthday celebration organised by the management of AUN, said public universities graduates cannot fit into private industries due to their poor education and character.

“I was in the University of Zik in Akwa in Anambra State on Wednesday on the invitation of the university. There is no student in public universities that can speak English in an error-free manner like the head boy of my secondary, who just finished addressing us now.

“When the head boy of AUN Academy, Abdullahi Sani, started speaking, I was thinking it is one of the lecturers in AUN, but only for him to introduce himself as the head boy of AUN Academy,” he stated.

Atiku said his ambition to establish AUN was to ensure that Nigeria produced graduates of high quality, both in learning and character, at an affordable rate and avoid the stress of traveling to other countries in search of quality education.

He pointed out that only quality education could bring about technology development in any country in the world, not oil, gold or other mineral resources.

Atiku noted that a country that places emphasis on oil, instead of manpower development, is preparing to collapse, pointing out that quality education produces quality manpower that turns a country into a wealthy nation.

While addressing students of the Law Department, the former vice president restated that Nigeria would continue to move backward unless it is restructured to address the problems threatening its existing.

“When government set up the last constitutional conference, I sent my proposal to the conference and when the members received it, they all agree with the content and resolved to include it in their final report as part of their resolutions.

“If you’re a yoruba man and want to be successful, marry an Igbo woman” – Daddy freeze writes

freeze-coolfm-2

Multi-award winning popular Cool FM Lagos radio personality, Ifedayo Olarinde, also known as Daddy Freeze, has shared his advise to Yoruba men, saying if they want to be successful in life, they should marry Igbo women.

Below is how the popular outspoken OAP who is famed for showing off his lavish lifestyle on Instagram, shared his thoughts;

If you are Yoruba and you are male, and you want to be successful in life marry an Igbo woman. ~ Chiekezi Dozie.

I kinda agree…especially since I am Yoruba myself…From my ‘little’ experience, gathered during my university days and early bachelorhood and with body count on both sides, (before I gave my life to Christ), I can, through my own experience, say that Igbo girls are so much cleaner, more respectful, value marriage more, less argumentative and problematic, treat husbands better, are more beautiful, have sexier bodies, are more family oriented, cook better and are much more enterprising than Yoruba ladies.

Unfortunately, I have never dated a Hausa, Fulani, Efik or Kalabari woman so I can’t comment on those. But if I were to pick between Yoruba and Igbo women, Na Igbo all the way o! Igbo kwenu! ~FRZ

Ghana university student who leaked her own s.ex video confesses, explains why she did it (Photo)

wpid-nana-abena-korkor-addo-1

A student of the University of Cape Coast in Ghana whose s*x video went viral has revealed interesting details after the ordeal that nearly ruined her life.

Nana Abena Korkor Addo confessed to leaking her own s*x video on social media as she blamed her action on mental ailment.

According to Nana Abena, her bipolar disorder caused her to leak the explicit video showing her private parts on social media.

In a candid interview with Adom News’ Kofi Nkansah, on Friday, Nana Abena opened up on all that happened. Before the s*x video was released, Nana Abena was aspiring to be the SRC president.

The release of the s*x video crashed her dreams and nearly forced her to lose her life.

In the controversial video, the student was filmed stripping and dancing seductively in the presence of a female friend while revealing her private parts. The video generated a lot of controversy given the position she was vying for in school.

Many thought it was rather her competitors in the race for the SRC President position who might have leaked the video to thwart her chances of winning the election.

However, Nana Abena Korkor Addo shocked everyone when she admitted to posting the explicit video herself.

But years after the incident, the repentant lady said her action was due to her mental condition diagnosed by doctors at the Accra Psychiatric hospital.

According to Adom News Online, she noted that, through the positive encouragement from family, students and faculty at UCC while on admission, she has been able to recover.

Nana Abena who was then in her final year said she had to repeat because the condition adversely affected her academic performance.

She also appealed to young women not to ever attempt recording themselves when naked since “you might not know what would happen to it”.

To give back to society, the young lady recently launched her mental health campaign which is aimed at improving mechanisms which will allow students to seek mental health service in schools.

Nana Abena said she had established an organisation, Psycho Social Africa, with the view to highlight the importance of mental health and distress to create awareness and offer mental distress education to empower individuals struggling with such issues.

“Nigeria Is Too Poor & Can’t Win The World Cup” – Minister Of Sports

dalung

Attention President Muhammadu Buhari: This is what the man you appointed the general overseer of our sports told an international media organisation,Voice of America, Hausa Service: Nigeria does not need to attend the next World Cup holding in Russia.

The World Cup is not just a football competition. It also represents a bigger avenue for nations to showcase their football artistry to a global audience, with players getting to secure new and bumper contracts and endorsements, which in turn, impact positively on the country’’s Gross Domestic Product and Foreign Direct Investment. Football is business and the World Cup fetches money for all participants. It is top in entertainment and business. Qualifiers even earn more than $5m from Fifa.

Besides the Olympics, the World Cup is by far the single biggest sports competition in the world, drawing record crowd appearances and creating a never-seen like before football atmospheres for its one-month duration.
The road to the next World Cup in 2018 is on, with the Super Eagles are leading the proverbial group of death with six maximum points from two matches against Zambia and Algeria. Cameroon, the only African country with the most appearance at the World Cup make up the group, from which only the first-placed team qualifies for the event.

Having missed out on a place at the next Africa Cup of Nations, starting in January in Gabon, Nigeria desperately needs to play at the World Cup to make up for the lost chance to play at AFCON 2017 but bizarrely, the one who ought to be championing the cause of going to the World Cup is ridiculously the one kicking against it.

Minister of Sport and Youth Development, Solomon Dalung yesterday stunned all when he told the Voice of America that he was against Nigeria’s participation at the World Cup.

His reasons: “That competition stinks of corruption; that Nigeria is too poor to waste money on it and that Nigeria would never win the trophy”. The implication of his statement is also that it is not necessary to waste money qualifying when you cannot win the World Cup.

As shocking as these may be, Dalung, a lawyer by training, said Nigeria should be content with playing at the Nations Cup, Olympics, Commonwealth Games. He said that Nigeria could win the Nations Cup but not the World Cup. World Cup finalists are guaranteed huge sum of money running into millions.

According to Dalung, “The cup that we can win is the African Cup of Nations. There is nothing again that will take us to another man’s balcony in the name of the World Cup. We already have the Commonwealth Games and the Olympics. For these, we can attend such meets. But I am opposed to the World Cup.

We don’t agree to it. Conspiracy in the World Cup is too much,” he said, a statement that could upset the world governing body, FIFA. He was not done.

“There is the issue of bribery and favouritism. There is also the issue of corruption before you are even given the hosting rights. We are here suffering from hunger and we don’t have money for such things. That is why, even if we try many times, once it gets into the politics of the game, we can never win.

“That was why this year, we had to tackle him (FIFA President, Ginani Infantino) and we said, ‘you , Infantino, if you win this election, you have to give us a position. If not, we shall not agree.’ And you see , by the grace of God, he even picked an African as his Secretary-General. That means he has started taking honey and rubbing on our lips. That means that one day, we shall get to really lick the honey.”

This is ridiculous and unbelievable. But they are the exact words of Sports Minister Dalung, a man, who has allegedly fanned the embers of discord, disunity and crisis in the Nigeria Football Federation.

It is recalled that Dalung was the unseen hand in the crisis of leadership, that rocked the NFF after Chris Giwa threatened to seize power from the Amaju Pinnick-led Executive Board.

Despite CAS and FIFA’s unambiguous backing of Pinnick’s board, Dalung called for a meeting between Pinnick and Giwa in his Abuja office, which snowballed into an all-out fight between both gladiators. As if that was not enough, the Minister has continuously asked the Amaju led board to co-opt Chris Giwa and his members into their board, ignoring the fact that membership of the board is through election. It has been from one dispute to another and Nigerian football has been in court.

Truly, football disputes are out of the jurisdiction of the ordinary law court as the Courts of Arbitration for Sports in Lausanne, Switzerland sits over all disputes in sports.

The minister’s latest comments confirm him as a total stranger to sports who has bluntly refused to learn the ropes.

Good news: Price of bag of rice crashes as Christmas nears

rce

Nigerians can now heave a sigh of relief after reports confirmed that the price of local rice in the country has crashed in some states across the federation.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) quotes the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as saying the agricultural initiative ‘Anchor Borrowers Programme’ which the federal government launched recently, is responsible for the drastic change in prices.

Making this remark on Saturday, November 19 in Imo state was Mrs Nkechi Osuji, the head of CBN’s development financing department at a sensitisation workshop attended by local government representatives of small holder farmers, cooperative societies, youths and women groups drawn from the 27 local government areas of Imo.

According to her, a 50kg bag of local rice can now be bought for N13,000 in states where the scheme has been embraced. She also added that the more the states that join, the cheaper the products in the market.

The CBN representative also encouraged participants to take the programme seriously as it has the potential of providing over one thousand jobs for unemployed youths and graduates.

“Let there be no ghost farmers and unnecessary bureaucracy in the implementation of the programme in Imo. “If this programme is genuinely executed, a lot of jobs and wealth will be created in Imo,” she was quoted to have said.

“Ladies tell me they desire to kiss me and make love to me” – Emmanuel Ikubese talks life as an actor, relationship and more

emmas

Former Mr. Nigeria, Emmanuel Ikubese is living his dreams. He has been climbing the ladder of success daily with his acting prowess.

In an interview with KFB, he talks about his role in the movie, FIFTY, his plans for his pet project and how ladies often slide in the DM with funny request of kiss and sex….Enjoy

How has this year been for you?
I have been very busy, working and doing a lot of productions. It has been really great so far. I have also taken out time to do some of my personal projects involving my foundation. We have gone to several schools, taking out the messages against domestic violence and abuse. Some company endorsed me this year, so I’d be going to a lot of schools to do some stuffs for them. 2016, has been so awesome to me.

You always preach against domestic violence and abuse, do you have any personal experience?
Well, I have not but I have some university days based experience.

I have lots of friends who were killed during domestic violence. The more I get involved in spreading the message against such, the more I get personal with it.

I have met a lot of victims. When I see them in such a pitiable state, it gets to me so much that I just want to do more.

So far, have you been getting responses?
Yes, I have. But there’s still a lot of stigmatization that victims of domestic violence go through. Our campaign is trying to put an end to people keeping quite. We are encouraging them to speak out against all forms violence, be it rape, abuse, etc. We want them to come out and tell their stories.

Once they open up and tell their stories, what does your organization do next?
I partner with a lot of agencies that help. I create awareness and the agencies follow up on the victims who speak out. Because right now, I don’t have those funding to take responsibilities for victims. So, the agencies do the needful to the victims that need help.

Running such time consuming campaign and at same time shooting lots of movies on different locations, how do you cope?
I hasn’t been easy, I must tell you. But once there’s a will, there’s a way. It’s something that I am very passionate about, both my career and my pet project.

Talking about passion and career, how come you played such raunchy role in the movie 50?
(laughs). What about it? Well, that’s one thing about me. I always try to bring in depth in every character I play.

But lots of negative comments trailed your character in that movie, how did you deal with it?
Well, I know that based on our society, they would not receive it with smiling faces and that got me worried. But funnily enough, I didn’t really get the kind of backlash as I had expected. So people understood what we were trying to display. People didn’t criticize me as much as I had expected.

Don’t you think it has put a question mark on your reputable image?
No never! That’s not Emmanuel but a character in a movie, so it can’t dent my image. Anybody who knows Emmanuel knows that I am so far away from that character I played in 50.

Did your parents frown at it at all?
My parents understood that it was me playing a character and they were okay with it.

I look up to a lot Hollywood actors and one major thing I took from them is depth. The fact that my role in that movie got controversial, then I did it quite well. That’s my own judgment.

But can you ever date or marry an older woman?
No I can’t! It can’t even happen. I can’t do that.

Why, after all, they say age is just a number…
Well, personally, I don’t think love is about age, as long as two people understand themselves, love themselves and willing to be together, age shouldn’t be an obstacle. Once there’s love, respect and communication, then they are good to go. But personally, I don’t think I can do it. Maybe someone that I am older than with 2-3 years, that’s the much I can do. I’m not against those that marry younger lover that’s women or men that date older women; it’s all about choice after all.

After you showed off the sexy side of you on the roles you play, women running after you would increase in numbers, how do you deal with them?
I have always had admirers, even before the movie 50. I have always had my way of dealing with them. It doesn’t change anything.

What’s the worst thing a female fan has done to you?
I have lots of female fans, jump up to me and give me a kiss right in the public. And I was like…’Ok…Ok’. But I just can’t embarrass them because they simply love me for what I do.

Do they also slide into your DMs to admire and probably send nude pictures?
Of course, I do get that a lot. But not nude pictures though. I don’t think any female fan in her right senses would want to send me a nude picture. I know they do send though, but not to people like me. My image is not that corrupt for someone to try such.

But you often post bare-chest photos on social media, maybe would work as a signal to them.don’t you think so?
Yes, I do, but I don’t do it for anybody in particular. It’s all about me.

Ladies slide to my DMs to tell me how much they love me, how they desire to kiss me and make love to me, but not sending nude pictures.

How about guys? Do they also slide into your DM to profess their love?
Yes they do! But I don’t encourage them to pass their boundaries.

Are you in a relationship right now?
Yes, I’m. In a very happy one.

So what’s your idea of love?

Love is that thing that you feel towards someone that makes him or her become family.

“I wasn’t detained in the US because of my boobs” – Cossy Ojiakor

alibaba-cossy

Heavily Endowed Cossy Orjiakor has debunked renowned stand-up comedian, Ali Baba’s viral story that said she was detained at an airport for over two hours because of her breast.

Recall the below is what Alibaba posted:

“So @cossyojiakor and I were on the same flight to the USA last month… I had crossed Immigration and even checked in and realized she had not called to say she had checked in… Called later and found out they held her back at the airport for two hours. Why? I asked her. She said they said something about “No dairy products allowed”… Still don’t get it.”

Well, Punch reached out to the voluptuous young lady via her spokesperson, and he said Cossy saw the post and laughed about it. The story didn’t happen and Alibaba was only joking.

“When she saw the post she laughed because she knew that Alibaba was only joking and she does not take things like that to heart. Most times when she reads things about herself in the media, she only laughs.

The only time she took offence to a write-up was when she was accused of bestiality but that is in the past. She knows Alibaba was only joking and you can call Alibaba to confirm,” he said.

20 Years After, Otokoto Ritual Killer in Owerri Finally Executed: Here are 20 Things to Know About the Hanged Convict

eben

Chief Vincent Duru, one of the men convicted in the celebrated case of the ritual murder of an 11-year-old boy, Ikechukwu Okoronkwo, on September 19, 1996 in Owerri, Imo State, has reportedly been hanged.

His sentence said to have been carried out on Sunday, November 13, 2016, is coming 13 years after his 2003 conviction.

To refresh memories on the case, which became popularly known as the ‘Otokoto murder’ at the time, here are 20 things to know:

1. The victim, Okoronkwo, a groundnut seller, was lured into a highbrow hotel called Otokoko in Owerri and beheaded.

2. Okoronko was reportedly given a bottle of Coca-Cola that had been spiked with drug before he was killed.

3. The hotel was owned by Chief Vincent Duru, who became known as Chief Otokoto during the lengthy trial that followed his arrest.

4. Apart from being beheaded, the culprits reportedly removed different other organs from his body including his genitals before burying the corpse in a shallow grave.

5. The crime was discovered when 32-year-old Innocent Ekeanyanwu, who beheaded the boy left the hotel to deliver the head in a polythene bag to a client. An okada rider, who gave him a ride discovered the fresh human head and alerted the police later. Ekeanyanwu was intercepted by the police on his way back.

6. When the news of the boys’ murder broke, for many days, angry residents of Owerri trooped to the streets in what became known as the Otokoto Riots. Houses, hotels, supermarkets, and vehicles suspected to belong to the suspects and those suspected to belong to fraudsters or people of shady characters were burnt.

7. Ekeanyanwu was to deliver the boy’s head to an influential figure, Chief Leonard Unaogu at Eziama in Ikeduru Local Council Area of the state but Unaogu had reportedly travelled. He was said to have had no choice but to take the boy’s head to Owerri.

8. A popular photograph showing Ekeanyanwu holding the victim’s head was later released to the media, sparking the anger of Owerri residents.

9. In the ensuing riots, the residents burnt down Duru’s Otokoto Hotel and houses. They also destroyed the cars and a petrol station belonging to Eze Onu Egwu Nwoke. The homes of some government officials were not spared.

10. Just three days after his arrest, Ekeanyanwu was found dead in police custody. He was suspected to have been poisoned but the police released a statement to deny any foul play.

11. Three police officers were sentenced to death by hanging by an Owerri High Court in 2002 for their roles in the death of Ekeanyanwu, who was supposed to be the principal witness in the case.

12. Before his death, Ekeanyanwu had confessed that Unaogu was the brains behind the ritual killing syndicate he worked for.

13. Policemen who later searched the premises of Otokoto Hotel reportedly exhumed some bodies of people suspected to be victims of the syndicate.

14. When Unaogu was arrested, he denied knowing Ekeanyanwu, who was a gardener at the Otokoto Hotel during the time of the crime. Duru was also arrested and both he and Unaogu denied knowing each other during their trial, a claim rejected by the judge. Five others were arrested in connection with the case.

15. Trial of the suspects started on December 9, 1996.

16. Nwosu-Iheme sentenced all the seven suspects including Unaogu and Duru to death.

17. Unaogu would later die at the Port Harcourt Prisons in mysterious circumstances.

18. Duru, a native of Umudim Community in Ikeduru Local Government Area, of Imo State, appealed his conviction but the sentence was upheld by the Appeal Court.

19. During the Otokoto trial, Duru’s son, Obicheozor , was arrested in connection with a kidnapping case allegedly carried out by a gang he belonged to, Black Scorpions. In 1997, Obicheozor was executed by firing squad along with six others.

20. One of the convicted, Ebenezer Egwueke, would later appeal his conviction too and eventually found to be innocent. He was freed after 16 years in prison. By the time he was out in 2013, he was 62 years old.

2b06f93b48021fc319688d8723f04e80

Amber rose speaking on this week’s edition of her online radio show “Loveline”, heaped a lot of praises on her former profession.

Amber, who was known as Paris during her stripping days, answered questions about her former career and gave advice to those who want to take on the profession..

She said:

‘When I was stripping it was the best time of my life,’A lot of men will offer you a lot of money to do a lot of things: don’t do it. Nothing is sexual.’Look at every single face in there as dollar signs. Go in there, make your money, go home, pay your bills.

‘Don’t do anything after, before or during, sexually,’ ‘It does become very tempting for a lot of girls because when money is involved, a lot of people will be willing to do a lot of things that they wouldn’t usually do.

If you keep your head up, stay off drugs, go in there, you make your money, it’s an honest living, it truly is.

‘If you’re comfortable with your body, I highly suggest it if you do it the right way.

Nigerian OAP uses keke napep for his wedding (photos)

napep

According to one Ijeoma Uba, who wrote about the event,

“He’s handsome. He’s polished. His middle name is Suave. On radio, he’s your fantasy. He decided to take a wife. A young, pretty, God-fearing wife. Onyinye appeared from Imo State and begged not to be entreated to leave him. Austine Okorodudu the toastmaster.

November 12th, 2016. The day for his people to become Onyi’s people. He already shared God with her. We all waited. Like the toastmaster he is, never believing in strict societal stereotypes, Austine decided to ride on a tricycle (kekenapep) to Redeemed Christian Church of God Unity Parish, Asaba where he would be joined with his soul mate.

His missing rib is to be fixed back and he needed all the fresh air in the world. Austine and his best man Prince Richards dazzled the congregation when they both cruised to the church premises with little Groom Dumebi; Keke-Oxygen abi! That wasn’t the icing.

Joined as one, Austine with his better half, set the major roads of Asaba, Delta State capital agog when he shunned all the exotic cars in his convoy again. He took his beautiful Onyinye home in keke-napep. He had at least ten SUVs that could have taken them home but he preferred them riding behind.

People took photographs of the couple as they rode the streets. Tricyclists voluntary joined in the convoy in wild excitement to show solidarity. What informed this showbiz guy’s decision? “Your Radio Fantasy” as he’s fondly called by his audience, said he wanted something out of the ordinary.

He was tired of seeing people ride in posh cars on their wedding days. In fact, he actually wanted to take his bride to church on a horse but for the strict rules of the Church, prohibiting such and the fact that he couldn’t still get one for their journey back home.

Sweet sight it was to behold as the newest couple rode through the streets entertaining people with their beautiful sights on their special day. Austine is indeed your fantasy! Will Onyinye join? Yes, she’s already nursing people back to good health. Happy married life to the sweet couple.”

John Edobor, Man accused of breaking his wife’s legs finally speaks, tells his own side of the story

jj

Mr John Edobor, who was recently fired from his Zenith bank job over allegations of domestic violence, has opened up on his own side of the story after his estranged wife, Ivie, accused him of battering her for failing to give him male children. Scroll down to read his story.

The killer and the cheat…the true Story of Ivie Edobor

Ivie Angela Edobor who lives in Number 43, Aderibigbe Street, Masha Kilo, Surulere, Lagos, got married at Saint Dominics Catholic Church, 356, Herbert Macaulay Street, Yaba, Lagos on Saturday, 30th June, 2007 at 12:00noon. We did the traditional marriage ceremony at the father’s compound at No. 2, Sola Oluwole Close, Abisogun Estate, Alafia Sari-Iganmu, off Lagos Badagry Expressway on a Thursday, 28th June, 2007. And as well as the marriage Registry in Lagos at Ikoyi on the 17th January, 2007 (all the marriage documents are attached).

Ivie and I are blessed with three children (three girls – senior 9 years old; second – 7 years and 4 years old respectively). Ivie and I had lived together all these years in peace devoid of rancour and acrimony together and love.

Ivie Edobor once worked for Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc until she resigned her appointment on the 11th July, 2011 in view of the fact that she was been accused of collecting kickbacks from the bank’s contractors in order for her to perform her duties as administrative staff. She exhibited these traits of fraud, corrupt practices and financial misappropriation which led to her termination and dismissal from Airtel and Starcomms .

When Ivie resigned (find attached her resignation letter) in order for her not to be at home doing nothing, we both had a discussion on her nest line of what she could do and then she suggested that she wanted to start importing diapers from the United Kingdom (UK) and start distributing and selling in retail which I obliged her by giving her initial start-up capital of about N500, 000 (Five Hundred Thousand Naira) and as the year progresses, we noticed that the business was moving I had to borrow moneys from friends and with my personal savings to inject into the business which amounted to about N8million (Eight Million Naira Only).

Every year, it was our agreement that audit be done to ensure that, the business is actually doing well and to make sure tax is paid to Government as well. This was actually adhered to in 2012 and in 2013, I noticed that Ivie had refused to call the accountant to come audit her books. I kept insisting on the audit to be done since she knows the accountant and have his contacts and moreover where we were staying in Ajah at No 76, House 3, Street X, Abraham Adesanya Estate, Ajah, Lagos, was not far from where the accountant was actually living in Ajah.

This persisted until in September 17th 2014 when strange faces of people I had never met or spoken with before kept coming to knock at my gate as early as 5a.m. every morning to demand for their moneys from Ivie and when the amount was added together that came knocking and requesting for their moneys it came to about N25,204,250 (Twenty Five Million, Two Hundred and Four Thousand, Two Hundred and Fifty Naira Only). Please see attached the list of people she was owing and these people are available if you which to speak with them.

dobor

Despite all these borrowings, Ivie could not account for what the sum of N25, 204,250 was spent on and till date she has not being able to explain in clear terms what the money was used for. She could not explain to me or her family members how she spent such huge sum of money. It became clear of recent after two years that she actually borrowed these moneys to save face from shame since Mr. Matthew Agbaire who she was dating was threatening to blackmail her if she could not part with money anytime Matthew Agbaire requested for any sum to use for himself.

In November 24th, 2015, Ivie was pregnant for me with twins which she confirmed severally in our chat (see attached for your perusal and confirmation the Ultra Sound Scan Report for the LMP and EDD) and the pregnancy grow for 5 (five) months and the babies had become 5(five) months old in June.

Since Ivie was living in Surulere despite my several plead to the father to allow Ivie and the children to come join me in Yaba notwithstanding that Ivie and I looked for the apartment in Yaba for us to live as one family again, Ivie deceded to stay back in surulere and every Fridays she would come to sleep with me while on weekdays she kept sleeping with Matthew Agbaire who is married with his own kids.

Until May 2016, when my kids where on midterm break, and they came to spend the holiday with me in Yaba that two of my children told me that, every night, one uncle Matthew was always coming to the house to sleep in mummy’s room till the next day and he will buy them suya. And when I asked Ivie she initially denied until I showed her a video clip of what the children told me that she then admitted (see attached our chat for your perusal) and at this time Ivie was still pregnant.

Since Ivie knew the consequences of her action she begged and pleaded that, she would need to go for confession which she did in June 5th, 2016 at Saint Dominic Catholic Church, Yaba. There she promised the reverend father Felix never to go back to such life again. Two days later I received a phone call from the house help that, Matthew came again to take her out and did not return until late in the night. When I asked Ivie she denied and she beat up the house help as well as collected her phone from her.

At this time Ivie had threatened she was going to flush the babies since I am doubting the paternity of the twin. Because, I asked Ivie if you are pregnant for me and still kept sleeping with another man (Matthew Agbaire) so who own the babies? We would need to do a DNA test to actually know who their father is.

Three days later, Ivie and Matthew Agbaire went to abort the babies since she was worried that I kept insisting on the DNA of the children. When I asked ivie what happened to the babies she said she could not face the shame of having bastard children which am not ready to father and this kept me worried up till now since Ivie could kill children that were already formed (7months) babies.

I spoke with the father who lives in Orile, in Lagos and even went to see him about it and all I got from the father was he will talk to Ivie and two of her aunties and I tried calling her mother who lives in UK but she would not pick her calls and as well told my family members about it too.
On what happened in June 19th 2016, incident that got ivie admitted at Tokin Hospital for broken leg, contrary to claims by Ivie, she actually got injured during a scuffle between myself and Matthew Agbaire who brought out a hammer his tool box in his car to fight me when Ivie at sighting me started shouting ole, ole for the security men to come and kill when Matthew brought her back home past one (1:00a.m.) in the morning while the children were left at home with a girl of about 13years old to care for them while Ivie and Matthew went to a hotel to have sex. Ivie in an attempt to allow Matthew to run away was holding on to my hands backward and in the course of my struggle, Ivie and I fell to the ground and then, Matthew wanted to seize the opportunity to slam the hammer in his hand on me which I dodged and then I noticed he was not relenting the second time after first strike which actually hit ivie, and then she shouted, when saw him trying to raise his hand again, I had to row over ivie and stood on my feet before the security men came to rescue the situation. Matthew quickly rushed her to a hospital in Surulere perhaps the same hospital the twin was aborted by Ivie and Matthew.

Ivie has consistently told people that I have not been taking care of the children school fees (find attached the receipts of my children school fees till date for your perusal). She has push out false information to the public for her to continuously gain sympathy from the public, press, bloggers, the civil society and human rights activist.

It will shock you to know that Ivie was married to one Mr. Benedith Jatto on the 17th December 2002 a document she used in her NYSC and equally in her former place of employment while she was working with Airtel Nigeria. I got to know and see all of these when this issue came up and a copy of the document is available for your perusal. And up till date that married has not been dissolved which means ivie is legally married to two men.

Ivie is doing all these for her to hide her shame and the face of Matthew Agbaire a father of two who is still married to his wife, and work in Centrix Allied Limited who is the brain behand her termination of the twin and the her broken leg. It is unfortunate that Ivie is acting this way because as my wife and mother of my beautiful children this is not the way I planned for us.

As a responsible father I have consistently played my role and provided for them to the best of my ability all that they needed.

So please tell me how I went wrong…. You can imagine my shock to find out that I am her 2nd husband…was it wrong of me to have encouraged and empowered my wife? Please tell me which man will take it…she only shouted out so the issue of the children she killed will not come limelight.

Pictures of 31 year old Female Graduate of Yabatech who has been sleeping on roads in Lagos

yabatech-graduate-0

As shared By Natasha Akpoti on Facebook. Read below:

‘Queen needs your help!!!

Last night I, like many were disturbed about the news of a young lad burnt to death for attempting to steal garri. The images haunted my sleep. Not only because of the gruesome murder of a human being bitten hard by poverty, but because of those human beings that carried the act and worse off, those who stood by capturing his death with their phones.

This morning on my to the Singaporean embassy in Lagos, I saw besides the gates of Eko hotel, a lady laying on the floor and everyone (black and white) walked past her like she didn’t exist . I picked up my phone and took this picture (below) with the hope that I could share a lesson of poverty with you all.

At the embassy, I couldn’t get her image off my head. I felt even ashamed to have taken only the picture without stopping to hear her story.

Immediately I stepped out of the embassy, I drove right back to her. Woke her up and this is what she said in fluent English.
My name is Queen Okoye. I am 31 years old and a graduate of YabaTech. I am from Orsu LGA in Imo state (she paused to spell Orsu for me). Her father is Mr. Basil a Okoye. Mother is late. She lived with her boyfriend whilst in school. Their relationship fell apart and he kicked her out of his apartment. She has lived on the streets for years because her sister (married with children ) refused to assist her.

I asked if she was on drugs and alcohol, but she said no. I noticed she smiled a little too much but always added “I am happy a beautiful lady like you acknowledged me. People walk by me everyday like I don’t exist “. This broke my heart.

So I asked permission to take a picture and share her story with you good people. She asked ” will they help or laugh at me. People call me crazy” . I told her the God that made me see her will make others connect to her.

I also asked if she had any message for you all . She looked at me and said ” tell them I need help to get out of the streets. It all started like a joke and now I can’t believe how low I have fallen. I might need some counseling and medical attention because being out here changes one drastically. I need a place to sleep and a job to fend for myself . Please ”

Beloved Nigerians, in our heart lies the power to do good and evil. I understand hunger’s pain. I know exactly the danger poverty sting’s delves to ones psych. At this trying times, let’s be sure to Chanel our frustration to the right persons and not the vulnerable like us.

Today, I had an option to be like everyone and walk past Queen but I decided to be better. Everyone of us can attempt a little kindness and love to each homeless person; or anyone about to be lynched by a crowd. A little effort goes a long way.

Queen stays in front of Eko hotel’s fence. She is waiting for someone to read this and reach out to her. So if you work in Lagos state welfare department or know any agency in charge of women, pls get to Queen. Let’s all share a little kindness because it would all come back to us.

Queen needs you’

Woman Who Sowed Seed With Stolen SUV In Church In Lagos, Gets Arrested. (Photo)

seed-sower

A 44-year old housewife, Mary Onu has been arrested after she allegedly stole a Nissan Infiniti SUV belonging to a car dealer and used it to sow a seed offering to her church prophet, Solomon Orimisan of the Celestial Church of Christ, Idimu, Lagos, Nigeria.

The incident happened at Gabriel Bell close, Bamishile Estate in Idimu where the church was located.

Onu was arrested with her daughter, Alice who signed the agreement and handed over the Jeep to Prophet Orimisan after she obtained a token sum of N500,000 in exchange for the vehicle.

The Delta State-born Mary who was a member of the church went to the prophet and told him that he wanted to appreciate him for his assistance and prayer to her and her family which had benefited them.

She told him that she wanted to sow a seed offering with the Infiniti model QX56 which the market value is over N2 million. She asked him that he should pay only N500,000 as a token and which an excited Orimisan agreed and paid the money into her account.

P.M.Express gathered that she drove the SUV to the church with the owner, who is a car dealer and introduced him as his driver.

When they went inside the church to discuss, the owner of the SUV did not knew what was going on and after Orimisan paid the money, she left both of them inside the church premised and bolted away.

When the prophet came out and saw the car dealer, he asked him to leave and informed him he had settled with Mary. It was then the prophet realized that Mary have scammed him as the owner explained what transpired between him and Mary before the vehicle was brought to the church.

The matter was reported to the police who trailed Mary and her daughter, Alice for several weeks and later arrested them in their hide. At the station, Mary confessed to the crime but claimed she had already spent the money to solve her personal problem.

They were charged before Magistrate’s court sitting in Isolo on Thursday with conspiracy, obtaining under false pretence and stealing under the Criminal Code.

They pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Mr A.U. Ojei told the court that he was not objecting the bail condition, but the court should use discretion to grant them bail so that they will face trial.

The presiding Magistrate, Mrs A.K. Shonubi granted them bail in the sum of N200,000 with one sureties in like sum. They were remanded in prison custody pending when they will perfect their bail condition.

The matter was adjourned till 24 November 2016.
