Fashion icon and good friend of the west’s family, Karl Lagerfeld has aired his thoughts on Kim Kardashian’s Paris attack.
After the reality TV star was robbed at gunpoint in Paris of 10 million dollar’s worth of jewelry, earlier in the week, Lagerfeld is quoted as saying:
“You cannot display your wealth and then be surprised that some people want to share it with you,”
Lagerfeld had written Kardashian a note on Monday saying: “Dearest Kim, we are all with you,” after she was tied up and robbed at a luxury apartment in Paris. But he also criticized the celebrity for flaunting her wealth to her more than 100 million social media followers.
“If you’re that famous and you put all your jewelry on the net, you go to hotels where nobody can come near to the room,” he said.
The reality TV star had tweeted a picture last week of a diamond ring worth around four million euros ($4.5 million) which police said had been stolen in the early morning raid along with five million euros worth of other jewelry.
“I think it’s a very bad thing for Paris but I don’t understand why she was in a hotel
*with no security,” Lagerfeld said of the robbery, which made headlines across the world.
Teenager Beats Up Employer Over Delayed Salary In Lagos.
A 19-year-old employee, one Mr. John Edward, was on Tuesday, 4th of October, 2016, arraigned in Lagos for reportedly beating up his employer over delay in the payment of salary.
The accused, whose address was not stated in court, is facing a four-count charge bordering on assault, conspiracy and malicious damage before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court.
The Prosecutor, Mr Ishola Samuel, told the court that the accused committed the offences on Sept. 1 at Olusoji Idowu St. Ilupeju, Lagos.
Samuel said the accused conspired with others still at large and assaulted their employer, Solomon David, over delay in the payment of their salaries.
“The accused used dangerous weapons such as iron rod and stick to inflict injuries on the complainant,’’ the prosecutor said.
According to him, the accused and his collaborators also destroyed a telephone handset worth N7,000 and tore their employer’s shirt, valued at N10, 000. Samuel said that the offences contravened Sections 410, 171 and 337 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The accused pleaded not guilty. The Magistrate, Miss A .R Onilogbo, granted the accused N50,000 bail with two sureties in like sum. The case was adjourned to Nov. 1, for hearing.

“I am upset and do not know what to do; I feel like my world is starting to crumble. I got married three years ago and things were going on smoothly until three months ago. My husband is an expatriate who is hardly in the country.
We find ways to connect with each other despite our busy lives. The last time my husband came home, I noticed a change in him. He was excited for some unknown reasons; he had a weird way of responding to my presence in the room. I found all these things strange even though i decided to let things slide since we did not have any argument.
I altered the pattern of visit three months ago because of the economy; we felt it was better for him to come visit since we were handling some projects. I was practically horny and could not wait for him to settle down properly before I started touching him. He threw me off and said he was tired. I knew I was being selfish considering the hours he spent in the plane.
When we finally had time for ourselves, something strange happened. He was disconnected most of the time and i had to talk to bring him back to my body. When he released, he moaned a name in my ears repeatedly.
It took me a while before I got to know it was my mother’s name he was calling. Why in God’s name will my husband call out my mother’s name when we are making love? I had a special pet name for her so it could not have been someone’s name.
I did not have the courage to ask him about it; it must have been my ears picking the wrong sound. But the same thing happened when we made love the next day. He closed his eyes as he called her name. I got worried at this point and reacted; he added my name to it and made it look like he was praising me.
Coincidentally, my mother visited us some days after and I watched both of them closely. He had always been free with her but every movement had meaning to me.
She kept referring to the last time she travelled out of the country; I had sent some things to him and he had sent her back to me. But only God knows what happened while they were alone.
I caught my husband looking funnily at my mum. I am afraid to confront him because I cannot bring myself to ask him what happened between him and her.
I am a Yoruba lady and the thought of my mother and my husband being together is driving me crazy. As much as I do not want people to know about this, it is serious. My husband calls my mother’s name during love making. Please what do I do?”

“A strong diviner will be able chase away the man’s spirit,” he said.

Unlike many other widows who will cry on hearing the news or at the sight of the lifeless body of their partners, irrespective of the circumstances of death, it’s different for Rose Keniah, a 33-year old widow whose husband committed suicide after attempting to kill her at Asotwe, near Ejisu in the Ashanti Region.
The man was an expert sharpshooter, but on the day he killed himself, her personal gods were not asleep. For Rose, the passing of Mathias Sedungon, with whom she had been married to for over 16-years, is a blessing in disguise.
She escaped death when the man fired a gun at her at close range and hit her in the shoulder in an apparent attempt to kill her. It followed misunderstanding between the couple leading to quarrels and subsequent separation of the couple.
Speaking to Adomonline, Rose said she and a company of other women were on their way to farm when her husband, described as a sharp shooter, ambushed and attacked her in September this year.
The interventions from the women who walked with Rose at the time was not enough to dissuade Mathias from his intention on that fateful Wednesday.
He fired and hit Rose before disappearing into the bush.
Moments later, while the woman was being sent to the hospital, news spread that Mathias had committed suicide, few meters away from where he shot his wife.But Rose is not moved by her husband’s death as the family awaits the Ejisu Police to release the body for burial.
Rose said she survived by divine intervention from the man she had known as a good marksman. The mother of four who hails from Paga in the Upper East Region of Ghana encouraged persons who are becoming victims of spousal abuse to ‘flee from their threats’ and report their partners to the police.

“National Assembly House Members Asked Me To Buy Them Houses, Cars But I Refused” – Bauchi Governor Claims.
Executive Governor of Bauchi state, Mohammed Abubakar, has accused members of the National Assembly of fighting him because he refused to buy them houses and cars as they demanded.
According to Daily Trust, Abubakar made the allegation while speaking at a function to commemorate the 56th Independence day celebration over the weekend.
According to him, Bauchi is the only state where National Assembly members were needlessly trying to undermine efforts of their governor and tried to pitch the people against him.
“At a time, the National Assembly members met me in a certain place where they requested that I should buy houses for them in Abuja and luxury jeep cars, but I told them that even if I’m bathing in a pool of money, I cannot afford to meet their demands. “He Always Told Me It Was My Fault He Hit Me” -Media Personality Shares Heartbreaking Domestic Violence Story.
Writer and media personality, Ese Walter-Ark, has shared quite a heartbreaking story on her Facebook page on how she was once a victim of domestic violence as a result of her naivety.
She wrote below:
I was 18 years old the first time a guy hit me. He was my first real boyfriend and he always told me it was my fault he hit me.
He lied a lot to me and hated confrontations. He suspected me every time of trying to leave him and date someone else. He wanted to know if I loved him more than my best friend. He had a temper so sometimes one loose statement could earn me a slap. Then there are times he was high from drinking a whole bottle of benylyn, I had to watch my tongue and steps else I’d smell my arse.
The first time he hit me he hurt my eye. He had this ring on and kept slapping me with his back and fore hand. I thought he spoilt something in the eye. I started seeing lights from the corner of my eye. Even when it was a completely dark room I’d see lights flash from the corner of my eye. Because he didn’t let me go to the school hospital for fear that he might be expelled I managed the situation until one day it stopped.
Many months after University I had that flash by the corner of my eye experience and fear gripped me. We had not spoken to each other in a long time but the incident reminded me of the fear I had to endure through that relationship. I was suddenly that teenager who was frightened of the person she was supposed to be loving.
I never involved myself in domestic violence talks. The pain was too raw and it always came rushing in anytime I heard a woman was beaten by the one who was supposed to love her.
I watched the movie “Diary of a mad black woman” about 50 times because finally this woman was getting back at her man for beating her. The first time I watched the movie I almost entered the computer. I was so mad to see the first scene where he was beating her.
Today I was having a bath and I had that same flash at the corner of my eye. I paused for a few minutes and noticed I didn’t have anger bubble up in my belly for him. The only thought I had was, “I should probably check this eye out with an optometrist”
I realised I have released those old feelings and hurt. I have forgiven the teenager for not knowing better and I have given up any hopes that the past could have been different. I think I also see how that served me. All my years of dating, even when I wasn’t sure what my ‘spec’ was or if I liked someone enough, any sign of beating or violence was the end of the relationship. Not because I was scared someone could hurt me again but because I knew I was going to kill anyone who lay a hand on me and I didn’t have plans of spending my life in jail.
It feels now like I am talking about another person when I think of the beatings my teenage self received. I probably am.
If you are reading this and are currently experiencing violence in your relationship please don’t ask me what to do. I am not born again, my advice will definitely put you in jail.
I just wanted to share a piece of my experience.

Ex-Minister, Laurencia Mallam And Her Husband Kidnapped In Kaduna | 10m Ransom Demanded.
Immediate past Minister of Environment, Mrs. Laurentia Laraba Mallam has reportedly been kidnapped along with her 73 year old husband, Mr Pius in Jere, Kagarko local government in Kaduna State.
According to a family source who spoke to Leadership, the duo were kidnapped on Monday night on their way to Kaduna from Abuja.
The kidnappers, according to the source are demanding 10 million ransom to release them. The driver of the former minister was also shot on his left hand by the gunmen.
Police could not be reached as at the time of this post for comment.

Calvin Mbane Alfayo also known as Mohamed Alfayo, the “psychotic” Kenyan man who took to his Facebook page to gloat and show off photos of the 10 year old girl he slept with in the bush has been arrested. (Read here if you missed it)
The unrepentant pedophile was apprehended on Tuesday, and is currently at the Sotik Police station. Sotik officer, Jonathan Ngala told The Star on Tuesday that officers were still interrogating Alfayo.
This, he said is to find out if Alfayo is the one who posted the images on his account or if his account was hacked before charging him.
Ngala said they are still trying to locate the whereabouts of the minor. Meanwhile, Kenyans have lauded the police for acting swiftly, saying this should serve as a warning to other sex predators who think they will get away with their heinous acts because they are related powerful personalities in Kenya.
The officers have also urged anyone who may have been abused by Alfayo to report to Bomet or Sotik Police stations to serve as witnesses against him.

What kind of man does not count at this point now because I am already in a relationship? Of course he would have possessed the qualities I wanted for me to have chosen him and be a relationship with him. Above all, it is God who chooses people for us, and more importantly, I want a man that loves God and believes in my ministry.
Should fans expect you back on the scene?
The music industry has changed a lot from when I started. It has evolved and there are a lot of not so pleasant things happening there. So I am not in a hurry to come back. I’m working on some albums and by God’s grace, before the end of the year, I will release something. There have been challenges but I’m thankful because there are people who believe in what I do, despite the fact that I started young. I have not rested on my oars.
What is your take about the Nigerian music industry?
Funding is a major factor for the industry. But sectors rather sponsor secular artistes whose messages are nothing to write home about. They should support those whose music are positive and promote good morals and a lot to offer.
What do you do apart from ministering with songs?
I talk to young people, encouraging them to follow their passion because I started as a young person. I’m a motivational speaker and I have other pet projects that help children find their talents.
What was it like in the university?
My first year was a bit rough because I had a lot of young people like myself who because I was in the limelight had misconceived ideas about me. In the second year, I gained more friends and mixed with people more and because I was leaving my parents for the first time, I changed my perspective of life.
What do you miss about your childhood?
I miss the innocence of my being a child who can get away with a lot of mischief. It also reminds me that now that I am older, a lot more is expected of me to impact the society.
11 Shops Burnt Down By Inferno At Odo Eran Shopping Complex, Agege. (Photos)
There was fire outbreak at the Odo Eran Shopping Complex, Agege, Lagos, on October 3rd – after receiving a distress call from the scene, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), preliminary investigation revealed that the fire started from one of the shops within the premises.
Chemical items used for manufacturing paint were inappropriately stored and the inferno started when it came in contact with other inflammable items.
A total number of 11 shops were razed down by the inferno, while 10 shops were salvaged by the Lagos Fire Service and others. Two adult male sustained injuries and were attended to.

Kaduna born actress Rahama Sadau, 22 has apologized to those that have felt offended in any way over her appearance in a music video by rapper Classiq titled I Love You.
The actress was banned last week from the Hausa movie industry – often called Kannywood as her appearance in the video was deemed offensive and against the body’s practice.
Rahama’s ordeal has gained international attention and the story is now on international website such as Daily Mail.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the actress apologized. According to her she was carrying out her job. Read her statement in full below:
Following the events of the last few days and MOPPAN’s unilateral decision to exclude me from the Hausa indigenous film industry, known as Kannywood, I would like to use this medium to address my fans, friends, those who have been affected and all who have shown concern.
To those who I have offended in any way, shape or form and who I have caused any anxiety by featuring in the said music video, I sincerely apologise. It was a job and I was carrying out my role in my profession, as I would in any other production, be it a Hausa language film or a Nollywood production.
However, innocuous touching with other people in my line of work is inevitable. I have lines that I would never cross and indeed I live and stand by the tenets, “actions are judged according to intentions”. The outcome of the events that have taken place has come as a surprise to us all. I may have fallen short of some people’s expectations, but it was never my intention. I make no excuses for my actions and I take full responsibility.
Thank you to all those who have reached out at this time and to everyone in general for your unwavering support. Your passion and loyalty hasn’t gone unnoticed and I am privileged to have your support.

An angry mother shaved off her daughter’s hair after she bullied a bald cancer patient at her school. The footage went viral on social media with the caption:
‘This girl bullied another girl at her school who has cancer so her mum decided to shave her head’.
The mother and daughter can be heard speaking in Portuguese, although it’s not known what country the footage was filmed.
