Four ritualists were allegedly arrested with fresh human hearts in Ijebu Igbo, Ogun state.

Ivie Edobor, a Mother of three, took to her Facebook wall to accuse her husband, John Edobor, of attacking her after they went they separated ways following their failed marriage.
She wrote:
Dear friend, To shed more light on my ordeal, this is my story. Two years ago my husband kick me out of his house along with my 3 daughters ages 9, 7 and 4.
I was forced to move back to my father’s house and struggled to provide for my 3 children as he completely neglected them and even took them of his medical insurance provided by his office Zenith Bank Plc.
After much struggle, I finally got back on my feet. Got a great job, enrolled my kids in a new school and rented an apartment for my 3 kids and I.
About Easter time this year he decides he was to be part of my children’s life again. I allowed him access to the children as I felt we could be civil to each other for the sake of our children. At this time I had started putting my documentation together for the divorce process.
Early hours of June 19th on my way back from a function, a friend had parked right in front of the gate of my apartment to press the bell for the gateman to open the gate and let me into the compound when suddenly he was rushed at and attacked by a man waving an object.
The first impression was that it was an armed robber trying to rob us. My friend(a man) pushed he away but he came charging back; at this point I looked out the opened door and realized it was John Edobor my enstrange husband. Before we could react a group of area boys showed up but rather than saving us from the assailant, they joined him.
The proceeded to be my friend on the floor giving John the opportunity to focus his attack on me. He used a metal bar(wheel spanner/ metal rod) to try hitting me on the head through the opened drivers door but I shielded it. Not satisfied with that, he turned to the passengers door dragged out to the floor. I landed on the floor with my legs extended where he proceeded to hit me on the leg continuously with the metal.
When he was satisfied he was about going back to join the area boys who had gathered my friend when my neighbour who had heard my screams for help and seen from his window a man striking someone on the floor thinking it was an armed robber, numbed down his balcony with a machete to save whoever was being attacked.
On getting down he was faced with my enstrange husband whom he had prevented from entering my compound without my permission on 2 occasions so he recognised him.
It was at that point he overpowered John. The area boys recognised him as a member of the security team for the street and backed off my friend.
By that time I couldn’t stand up and my leg was bleeding profusely. I was rushed to the hospital where my jeans was torn off my leg to see the nature of my injury. The injury was so severe that my broken bone torn through my skin puncturing an artery in the process.
Almost 3months and 2 surgeries later, I have titanium plates and screws to keep my leg in place and I am unable to use my right leg. I still have my 3 children to care for and my life is at a stand still. The perpetuator was charged to court and released on bail 3 days later. Now he moves around freely carrying on with his life. Now is it wrong for me to cry for Justice.
Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, says he does not regret supporting President Muhammadu Buhari during the electioneering, adding that Nigeria would not have survived four more years of former President Goodluck Jonathan’s rule.
Soyinka added that the revelation of stolen loot such as the arms purchase fraud justified his position that Nigeria was being run aground by the last administration.
The Nobel laureate said this during a programme titled, ‘Channels Book Club’ on Channels Television on Tuesday.
The playwright confessed that he used to have a bad impression of Buhari who he once described as a “devil for whom in my calculation, no spoon existed long enough to justify the risk even of an impromptu snack.”
However, Soyinka said many of his trusted companions were able to convince him during the electioneering that Buhari had changed and that the highhandedness that characterised his military rule in the 1980s could not be repeated during a democratic rule.
He said, “We were left with two credible contestants in terms of catchment area for the nation. We had reached, in my view, the bottom. I became convinced that if this country underwent four more years under President Jonathan, the country would run aground completely. I looked at the record and said this cannot go on, this has to stop.
“Then I looked at this man who had contested elections three times before and said he would not contest anymore and then decided to throw his hat in the ring. I talked to people and I said do you know what you’re doing?
“And after weighing all the options, I said let’s try a new one. And since in electoral terms, he was the one, I guardedly, with reservations, announced that no, not a continuation under Jonathan.
“And so very reluctantly, I want this on record, because I made it quite clear, I weighed the two of them and I said this nation stands a better chance under Buhari. And what has been coming out now? Look at all that has been coming out? Look at the figures (loot) which virtually hammer one into the ground just the sheer enormity of the robbery of this nation that is getting exposed progressively. It shows that we did not make a bad choice.”
When asked if he was completely satisfied with Buhari’s six months in office, Soyinka said, “Not totally but Buhari has proven that there is such a thing as a born again democrat.”
Asked his opinion of the recent pro-Biafran agitations, Soyinka said there was a need for the government to meet with pro-Biafran groups to understand the real problem.
The playwright said the government should convoke a fresh National Conference which would address the feelings of pro-Biafran elements.
The octogenarian said the government could not wish away with idea of Biafra because ideas could not be killed.
He said the government should treat the matter dispassionately as there was nothing evil about secession. He noted that Nigeria even ceded the Bakassi peninsula to Cameroun.
Soyinka said, “So, let us sit down, let us talk once again about restructuring the nation in a way that no one will want to leave. The agitations, for me, are not surprising. It was expected that it would happen sooner or later.
“So, I am referring to a genuine and authentic National Conference. Not like the one that former President Olusegun Obasanjo called which was meant to try to perpetuate himself in office.
“The one under Jonathan was extensive; it covered lots and lots of ground. It proposed some far-reaching changes, not far-reaching for me, but far-reaching. It is about time we went back to efforts like that; genuine ones like that.”

A woman shared a picture of herself breastfeeding her sister’s son while the boy’s mother was away – and that woman’s sister later returned the favor.
The photo appeared Saturday on Breastfeeding Mama Talk, a board on Facebook.
Founder Kristy Kemp started it in 2012 because she wanted to create a space for breastfeeding mothers to exchange information. She regularly shares pictures of fellow mothers recounting their breastfeeding experiences.
The photo shared on Saturday shows a woman smiling at the camera while breastfeeding her sister’s son. The baby boy’s mother had left a bottle of her own pumped milk behind, but he wouldn’t accept it.
The bottle of pumped breast milk left by the sister was untouched at that point. But the woman’s sister gave away her milk too.
Feeding a baby another woman’s milk is called wet nursing. When two women swap their milk, as happened in that instance, is also known as cross nursing.

A man has been left without a d*ck after he allegedly tried to rape a lady – his p*nis was bitten off by a 24 year-old woman who says her actions were done in self defense.
The alleged rapist, a Ghanaian Techiman Municipal Fire Commander is currently in critical condition.
Narrating her ordeal to Adom News’ , Agya Wusu, the victim said she works with Mr. Eric Ansah Andor at the Techiman Fire Service in Techiman of the Brong Ahafo Region.
According to her, she was at home one day when Mr Ansah came with his clothes to have them washed.
The victim said, after offering her boss water and while returning to the kitchen to start washing the clothes, Mr Andor dragged her from behind and started abusing her sexually.The lady said, she initially tried defending herself but the man threatened her and she was left with no option than to give in.
“I offered him water and in an attempt to enter my other room he grabbed me and wanted to romance me. I resisted initially and later he threatened me saying “he is the commander and so anything he wants he gets it” and because he said that I got scared he would do something bad to me.”
“I decided to pretend to give in and told him I am ready and so he should do whatever he wants to do with me but after romancing with him for three minutes, I grabbed his penis and bit it hard
Bleeding profusely, Mr Andor called for help from their office. The fire officer was later rushed to the Dr. Kesse Hospital at Techiman for medical attention.
The incident she added, has been reported to the Techiman Police station who have begun investigations into the matter.
Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Aisha Alhassan, reportedly collapsed on Monday at the Internally Displaced Persons’ (IDPs) camp in Fufore Local Government Area of Adamawa State while addressing vulnerable IDP women inside a store in the camp.
Alhassan, who was in crutches when she arrived the camp, and after addressing the IDPs, entered the store to discuss with some of the said vulnerable women. While discussing with the women, she collapsed, but was quickly assisted to a chair and given a bottle of Coke to drink, which revived her, ThisDay reports.
According to some of her aides, she had been diagnosed with low sugar, a problem that creates serious weakness of the body.
But despite her state of health, she managed to explain to journalists at the camp that her fact-finding mission to Yobe, Borno and Adamawa States tend to confirm the foreign NGOs’ allegation on violation of some girls and women at the IDPs’ camps in the North-east.
The minister had earlier said that she was at the camp to give a message from President Muhammadu Buhari to the displaced persons, who wanted them to cheer up despite the hardship because everything was being done to ensure that they go back to their homes.
She told the IDPs that the president was touched by their suffering and that was why he sent her to come and donate relief materials and felicitate with them.

Doctors have delivered a premature baby after a mum was killed in a drive-by shooting while six months pregnant – Parashay Beard, 19, was sat in a car with her boyfriend when it was sprayed with bullets on Sunday night.
The teenager was rushed to hospital but tragically died as a result of a gunshot wound to her neck. Medics were able to deliver her baby daughter who remains in a critical condition.
Miss Beard’s 26-year-old boyfriend was shot in the neck and chest and he is also critically ill. Police have said they believe the shooting in Chicago, Illinois, was gang-related, NBC reports.
Miss Beard’s family have named her daughter, who was due in December, ‘Miracle‘. Parashay was also mother to a four-year-old girl.

Before I signed up, I first went to my husband and asked, “Do you mind if I shave my head for St. Baldrick’s again this year?” It’s my hair on the line, but I’ll have to fundraise and show up the day of the event, plus someone needs to keep an eye on our daughter while I’m sitting in a chair having clippers buzzing around my head. He didn’t say, “no,” but if he had, I’d have respected it.
Really, it comes down to common courtesy. He’s not being “controlling;” he’s having an opinion … and as his spouse, you’d want him to respect your opinion, right? So why not respect his?
