Big Brother Naija ‘All Stars’ housemate, Angel Smith recently lambasted her fellow housemate, Ceec, for berating her and the other housemates.

The housemate were preparing for their wager task, which involves acting and filming a movie, on Wednesday night when Ceec expressed her dissatisfaction with the storyline and overall concept.

The 30-year-old lawyer reportedly criticized the script and tried to dictate how the storyline should have gone. She also made a disparaging comment about her fellow housemates, stating that they are all full of shit.

This infuriated Angel, who happened to be the one who wrote the script, and she lambasted Ceec for condemning her hardwork. Amid the confrontation, Ceec chose to remove herself from the situation and left the lounge.

However, this didn’t stop Angel from airing her displeasure with Ceec for insulting them. She stated that she stayed up all night to write the script while the other housemates were asleep yet Ceec had the guts to condemn it and insult all the housemate.

Still speaking in anger, Angel added that Ceec thinks she is the ‘craziest’ person in the house, but that she is wrong, because she(Angel) also has her crazy side.

A wild drama is currently brewing online after an anonymous fellow took to social media to leak a WhatsApp chat between Nigerian singer, Adebayo Adeleke better known as BRed. and his wife, Faith Johnson.

The Instagram user with handle @maryam_alh75901 who leaked the chat online this morning, August 10, wrote,

“I’m sorry Faith I had to do this, I had to break ur trust, I can’t watch people drag u on the internet and not saying anything. I’m sorry for betraying ur trust, and u will know who did when this goes viral, so just know I did this to defend you, I did not break the sister code. Bayo should put his gbola in one place, he doesn’t have to be like davido just because they are related”

From the chat, it was gathered that Faith confronted her husband after seeing a video of him opening a car door for a woman in Atlanta.

She was evidently infuriated and lambasted him for opening the door for another woman, insinuating that he slept with her or that she was his sidechick.

In response, BRed denied being romantically involved with or sleeping with the woman in the video, explaining that she approached him as a fan and stated she wanted to hang out with him.

This explanation didn’t quell Faith’s anger as she went on a ranting spree, insulting her husband and calling him distasteful names. She said she hates him and is no longer attracted to him.

She also called him a ‘pathological liar’ who constantly embarrasses her. BRed tried to apologize to his wife, but she snubbed him and told him to go meet his cousin, singer Davido, so they could keep doing ‘stupid’ things together.

Faith also slammed her husband for mocking and laughing at Davido as if he were better than him. Interestingly, Bred replied by defending himself, stating that, unlike Davido, he does not have a child outside of marriage.

Veteran gospel musician, Funmi Aragbaye has opined that young couples are more likely to be divorced because they are unable to withstand challenges in marriage.

The singer said this in an interview with The Punch, pointing out that happiness in marriage doesn’t have everything to do with how wealthy one’s spouse is.

According to her, young people should always seek divine direction before getting married because not all families can be married into.

In her words;

“The major cause of divorce among young couples is the fact that they cannot endure hardship with anybody. And, they prefer getting married to rich people. However, happiness in marriage is not dependent on how rich one’s spouse is. Young people should always seek divine direction from God before they get married.

They should find out about the families of their would-be spouses, and not just focus on how rich they are. There are some families with peculiar ancestry curses that one should avoid. Young people should also learn to endure, be patient and rugged, and be understanding.”

“Bringing issues involving members of the association on social media for reconciliation is not good for the reputation of GOMAN. I advise young gospel musicians to amicably resolve differences among themselves without bringing them on social media.

It is apparent that some gospel musicians cannot manage stardom, and some cannot even comport themselves on stage. They should work on those areas for the overall interest of the association. Popular Nigerian singer and activist, Folarin Falana, otherwise known as Falz, revealed that he has been having a tough time for the last couple of months following his knee surgery.

Recall that a few months ago, the “Bop Daddy” star flew to the UK to undergo knee surgery for an injury he sustained while playing football in November 2022.

Taking to his Instagram page, he shared a video of himself in the hospital and gave a detailed account of his pre- and post-surgery experiences.

In a recent update, Falz, who had taken a break to recuperate, shared a video and revealed that his recovery process has been very painful. He, however, noted that despite the pain he feels, he has refused to stop pushing.

The singer went ahead to express his gratitude to his fans and followers for supporting him and making him feel better.

New details have surfaced regarding the events leading to the demise of Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, the founder of Fountain of Life Church in Lagos, who passed away in the United States on August 7.

According to The Nation, the esteemed clergyman had been grappling with health challenges primarily stemming from dealing with personal tragedies.

A source with close ties to the family was quoted as saying,

“He really didn’t get over the losses he suffered. He tried to be strong but there is a limit to what a man can take.”

Pastor Taiwo, as he was fondly called, tragically lost his beloved first wife, Pastor Bimbo, in the devastating Sosoliso plane crash back in 2005. She was just 45 years old.

The source mentioned that Pastor Taiwo and his wife, who he met during their time as undergraduates at the University of Ibadan, shared a deep connection and her untimely passing affected him greatly.

“Pastor was more devastated by what people said after Pastor Bimbo died than what actually happened. Many people said nasty things that saddened his heart. He was touched by the savagery of the comments. Well, he had no choice and decided to move on despite the heartbreak. It took a lot of talking for him to decide to remarry,” the source added.

The clergyman also suffered another heart-wrenching loss on November 9, 2021, when his second wife, Pastor Nomthi, a South African, passed away after battling cancer.

Unfortunately, Pastor Odukoya also lost his twin sister two months after the death of his second wife.

“I turned taxi driver in U.S. due to inability to get Hollywood gigs” – Nollywood actor Joseph Benjamin

Popular Nigerian actor, Joseph Benjamin has revealed that after moving to America, he started working as a taxi driver.

He recalled how he was stranded when he traveled from Nigeria to the United States in an effort to break into Hollywood after being offered movie jobs.

Benjamin, who appeared on the most recent edition of Teju Babyface’s comedy podcast, King of Talks, said he was let down by someone and had to turn to the taxi industry to support himself.

The 46-year-old actor said that the guy who took him to America informed him that the investors had backed out, leaving him stranded because he had only purchased a one-way ticket.

He said;

“I got to America on a promise that I had some gigs waiting for me. So I thought I was going to have a soft landing there. I packed up everything from Nigeria, bought a one-way ticket, and came to America.

I was put in a well-furnished house and all of that. Then two days later, the person who I was supposed to book a deal with said to me, ‘Those our financiers have pulled out. They have an issue.’ So, I said, what do I do? He was like, ‘From next month on, you will have to start paying rent in this house.’ The amount of the one-month rent was equivalent to a one-year rent in Nigeria.

I’m like, ‘I’m not earning any money so what do I do?’ I don’t know what to do. So, shot into that life, I had to figure out what to do. I had nowhere to go. Nothing to turn to. My phone was buzzing, like, ‘When are you coming back to Nigeria? We have this gig for you.’ Teju, $1,500 was all I came to America with. How do I buy a ticket to go back to Nigeria?

My life pattern then was so disorganized in the sense that I didn’t have a proper saving culture. With all the money I was making in Nigeria, my life was a m*ss. I sold my cars and gave out like 90 per cent of all my belongings in Nigeria. I was like, I’m going to America to live a good life and all of that stuff. How do I buy a ticket to go back to Nigeria? Lord, what do I do? And God said to me that ‘Welcome to the life that I arranged for you. I needed to break you away from your comfort zone so that I can build you.’

I was like, ‘No, no, no …’ He was like, ‘Yes, welcome to it. So, here you are, no way to earn a living. How do you move forward?’ Then, sometimes I will be in my room crying. I’m like, ‘Lord where do I go from here?’ And for some reason every month I get to pay the rent. I got connected to my church. And then someone gave me a car. I’m like, what do I do with the car? And they said Uber. I was driving for Uber and Lyft to pay my bills.”

Popular Nigerian comedian, Josh2Funny, has carried his comedic performance to an international stage as he auditions at the America’s Got Talent.

The content creator flew over to the US to give an audition for a chance to win $1,000,000, which is the prize money awarded to the winner of AGT.

Josh2Funny gave a three-stage performance; however, he was regrettably rejected from the beginning by the judges, Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Sofa Vergara, and Howie Mande.

His first on-stage appearance was as a quick reader who could get through three books in under a minute. Josh read the books while only murmuring the words, which did not impress the four reviewers.

They sent him off stage after refusing to let him advance to the next round. He didn’t give up though; instead, he did something they never expected: he returned wearing different clothes and going by a different identity.

The ‘fastest rapper in the world’ known as J Hush was Josh2Funny’s second act, and all he did was mutter his lines like he was speed reading. He received a No from Simon, Heidi, and the other two and was sent away.

He came back the third time on the same day as a magician identified as Terrifying Jay. The comedian attempted to do magic using a deck of cards, but Howie gave him a no buzzer before he started.

He then pulled off a mind trick on the presenter, Terry Crews, which impressed Simon Cowell, who on behalf of the other judges handed him a ticket to the next round.

The judges argued that they were unimpressed, so he chose to channel quick rapping, which caused the audience to give him a standing ovation and cheer him loudly.

Nollywood actress, Rosy Meurer has taken to social media to share a new video of herself, her husband Olakunle Churchill, and their son during a family vacation.

She shared the clip on her Instagram page on Tuesday, August 8, in seeming response to the ongoing rumour that she and husband are going through a rough patch.

Earlier this week, an unverified report claimed that the celebrity couple are having a marital crisis due to alleged infidelity and domestic violence.

In an apparent reaction to this, Rosy stated that the breakup rumor is clearly proof that she and her husband have been missed online.

Nigerian superstar singer, Burna Boy has taken a swipe at the Nigerian government for considering a military intervention in Niger Republic.

The self-styled ‘Odogwu’ criticized the Nigerian Government during an Instagram Live session on Tuesday, August 8, while speaking on their proposed plan to invade Niger Republic after a military junta took over the nation’s governance.

Burna Boy, who was captured smoking weed, questioned how the federal government plans to invade the neighboring country with its prevailing fuel subsidy crisis.

Big Brother Naija ‘All Stars’ housemate, Neo Akpofure, has refuted claims of being romantically involved with disqualified ‘level-up’ housemate, Beauty Tukura.

Neo dismissed the rumours during a late-night conversation with his friend and fellow housemate, Tolanibaj, on Tuesday evening.

It will be recalled that speculations about their romantic relationship began when they were seen leaving a hotel together in July.

Additionally, a few housemates from the ‘All Stars’ edition have seemingly confirmed the rumour in the house.

A while back, Doyin cautioned Ilebaye against pursuing anything serious with Neo due to his relationship with Beauty outside the house.

Mercy Eke also recently shared her thoughts on Neo and Beauty’s relationship, affirming that they are still together.

However, Neo, addressing the rumors for the first time, explicitly denied having a romantic relationship with Beauty.

He stated this in response to Tolanibaj’s inquiry about the news circulating on online blogs that they are dating.

The Delta-born star, however, noted that Beauty is interested in pursuing a relationship with him but he is not down for it.

In other news, a Nigerian man, identified simply as Neo, has stated that a woman must cook for her husband no matter the time, even if it’s midnight.

Neo stated this in response to a Twitter user who asked if it’s appropriate for a man to demand pounded yam and egusi soup after returning home at 1am.

According to Neo, it’s acceptable because marriage is commitment and couples are entitled to make demands that will discomfort each other.

Citing an example, the man asserted that men readily come to their wives’ rescue when their car breaks down on the road regardless of the location and time, so women shouldn’t make excuses not to cook for their husbands.

He tweeted,

“She MUST cook it for him. If the same wife can have her car break down anywhere, she abandons the car there then calls her husband to come pick it up and fix it, and he does exactly that, the man is also entitled to make demands that will discomfort her. Marriage is COMMITMENT,” he wrote.

Big Brother Naija “All Stars” housemates, Whitemoney has asked the housemates to maintain perspective and respect one another as he reminds them that they are not equal outside of Biggie’s house.

The musician discussed how his other housemates may get carried away with the game and stomp on some of their fellow contestants’ toes while on the show at a house meeting on Tuesday.

He pointed out that some derogatory remarks and deeds, even when delivered in fun, might not be forgotten even beyond the walls of the house.

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Skales has opened up after getting into a fight at Timaya’s Lagos home with his colleague, Kizz Daniel.

Skales recently spoke with Beat 99.9 FM in Lagos and discussed the situation in detail.

He acknowledged that he was drunk at the time and took responsibility for the occurrence.

However, Skales stated that he thinks his dispute with Kizz Daniel has been resolved because he apologized when he heard what he had done.

Fast-rising Nigerian singer Charles Chibuezechukwu, popularly known as Crayon, has disclosed that he was accommodated by his colleague and labelmate Rema for two years prior to his rise to fame.

Following his signing to Blowtime Entertainment, an imprint of Mavin Records, in May 2019, Crayon’s career soared.

Rema and Crayon are both artists with Mavin Records, and the two have worked on a number of tracks together.

The “Ijo Labalaba” crooner revealed in a recent interview with MTV Base Africa that Rema was significant to his successful career.

He said;

“Shoutout to Rema mehn. That’s my brother for life. Rema was a big support as well. He was very instrumental. You know what’s crazy? I stayed in his house for two years.”

Just recently, Crayon revealed how he abandoned his pursuit of a university education to focus on music.

According to him, he gave up on obtaining a university degree after taking the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) five times.

“On the fifth try, I had already met Baby Fresh, who used to work at Mavin. Juggling school and music simultaneously is quite stressful in Nigeria. Music alone is demanding,” he said.

“So I sat down with my parents and told them, ‘Mom and Dad, I want to pursue music.’ I explained that it felt like my heart was leading me in that direction. My dad suggested that I give the fifth try a chance, and if it didn’t work out, I could pursue music.” He said.
