“He is not the father” — Family gives update on autistic daughter who welcomed a baby boy after the alleged father denied being responsible (video)
The family of the viral autistic lady, Joy, who gave birth to a baby boy a few months back, has shared an update on the DNA test result of the child.
Joy went viral on social media in May 2023 when she welcomed a healthy baby boy into the world. However, the man she accused of fathering the child denied any responsibility at the time.
Her sister took to TikTok to narrate the incident and shared a video of the new mum and her son.
“This is my kid sister, her name is Joy, Joy has autism. She was already 3 months gone when my family found out she was pregnant, my elder sister called to tell me the news, we cried, prayed… we asked her who was responsible, she pointed one, we called him in he denied everything. We took responsibility of taking care of her”, the sister said. ICYMI, watch the video here
In a new update shared on Monday, July 25, Joy’s sister revealed that they conducted a DNA test to ascertain if the accused is the father of the child, but the results proved he is not the biological father.
She posted a video of their visit to the hospital, where they received the result confirming that the person Joy accused is not responsible for the pregnancy.
She said they have tendered an apology to the accused and his family, and are now focused on taking care of the mother and child.
The caption reads,
“We got a test from the hospital to come get the DNA test result.
It was filled with emotions. My family had the “what if” and “what if not” conversations.
We got there and was already prepared to hear the result.
Unfortunately for us, the person she pointed at is not the one responsible. I’m glad at the way the matter was handled by both families and also the consultant.
We’ve apologized to the accused person and his family. Moving forward, we’re focused on the mother and son. Thank you all for your support, prayers and love.”
