Today, Danagog who signed to Davido’s HKN label in 2014 took to Instagram to apologise for insulting Wizkid’s on-and-off girlfriend Tania Omotoya, and it has us scratching our heads.
“I would like to apologize for my inappropriate behavior,” the singer said, adding, “It was meant to be a freestyle to laugh about, I would never disrespect a woman.”
“I realized my mistake and I would like to seek for Miss@taniaomotayo forgiveness,” the upcoming ‘Hookah’ continued in the remorseful post, “Once again please accept my sincere apologies.”
And then he declared Tania Omotayo his Woman Crush Wednesday.
Well, save for one fan who said he didn’t need to apologise for whatever he said, others, like me, are wondering what exactly he said. A quick check online reveals no trace of the said freestyle, and his latest single, ‘Hookah’, is mildly successful.
And so, the questions is this: If you insulted someone and no one heard it, did you really insult them? Or even need a public apology?
We can’t wait to read Tania Omotayo’s response to this.
Yesterday,YBNL boss, Olamide took to his Snapchat to call unknown persons begging him to help with some favours. “Don’t frustrate another person pikin,” the ‘Bobo’ rapper wrote on Snapchat. “Bug your parents, at least they brought you to this world.”
The rapper didn’t name names, but fans wonder if the messages are targeted at folks piling his IG comment section with pleas for money, or to get signed on to his YBNL Records.
“And some bugging ass dude ruining my day too,” he continued, adding, “I’m chasing my dreams, chase yours. I’m hungry too.”
And this is not the first time the rapper would be calling out ‘beggars’ on social media. Last August, he was forced to lash out at fans barraging him with similar comments on IG. “Stop waiting for a godfather, stop being a liability. Go hawk pure water in traffic!” He wrote.
There was confusion around Aga area of Ikorodu in Lagos State, on Monday, as the skeleton of a missing 46-year-old man, Sikiru Yussuf, was found in his apartment.
Residents of the building have been invited by the police for interrogations but the state police public relations officer could not confirm any arrest, the Nigerian Tribune reports..
The skeleton of Yussuf was found in his one-room and a parlour apartment at 46, Jaiyesinmi Street, Aga area of Ikorodu.
The landlady had invited the deceased man’s elder brother to come and witness the forceful opening of the apartment, when the skeleton was discovered.
The elder brother, Basiru Yussuf, who later reported the incident at Ikorodu divisional police station, had gone to the scene with the hope of evacuating his younger brother’s belonging from the apartment.
Lagos Metro gathered that many residents of the area had for many months thought that the deceased had absconded from the area. A resident of Aga area of Ikorodu, who spoke with Lagos Metro under the condition of anonymity, described the death as mysterious.
“I was surprised at the discovery. I don’t t know how the residents would not observe that a body was decomposing in that house. The police have invited some people in connection with the incident but the death is still a mystery,” the resident said.
The Lagos police image maker also stated that policemen from the police station had visited the scene, taken photographs and examined the scene of incident.
She assured that the police in the state would properly investigate the incident after the autopsy.
How risky is this? Fine, he must have caught the crocodile or something but would he want the crocodile to catch him too? As I’ve seen in Discovery channels and wild animals documentaries, Crocodiles are known to be very aggressive.
Well, he’s African… and Africans are known to be dauntless when it comes to wild animals… But this is just too risky and there’s even a kid next to him!.

P-Square’s latest drama has come to an end and like most drama, a lot of deductions can be made from them.
Let’s take a look at the 10 big things to note after P-Square’s public spat.
1. Their parents’ death have further set them apart from one another.
Since the death of P-Square’s parents, they have been involved in several unnecessary drama. Industry commentators believe their parents were the key to their unity in the good old days.
2. There is no unity among the brothers and may still eventually break up. Let’s face it, the reality is P-Square won’t be around for many more years. Their next drama might be the last, maybe after another album.
3. Peter is the aggressor, and will always be the warring partner in the group.
Peter never agrees with his brothers. He is the opposition in the group, something like PDP right now
Fashionista actress, Mercy Aigbe has come out to set the record straight concerning her outburst at Thisday Style after they didn’t include her in their Nollywood’s Best Dressed list.
The actress stated that it had nothing to do with being best dressed, but the fact that Yoruba actors are not regarded as part of Nollywood.
Speaking to Encomium magazine, she said:
Why will I be fighting because I was not on the list of the best dressed actresses of any paper or magazine? After all, I don’t dress because I want anybody to rate me. I only try to wear whatever suits me at every occasion. So, the point I was trying to make has nothing to do with best dressed list. “My observation for quite some time has always been that those of us in the Yoruba movie sector are always being underrated.
They have this erroneous impression that we’re not educated, so we should be treated as ‘rass’, local and second class actors. We’re not worthy of being celebrated. So, I am still asking, is it because we’re doing indigenous movies and that’s why we are being denied robust media attention being enjoyed by our counterparts in the English movie sector?
“They rarely address us as Nollywood stars, instead prefer calling us Yoruba movie stars. I think this is the right time for those who came up with the Nollywood identity to come out and tell us if Yoruba actors are not included so that we can also form our own wood. Or those categorizing us are the ones creating an impression that we’re inferior because we’re into Yoruba movies. I think there should be an end to this embarrassment. Imagine publishing a list of the best Nollywood actors and not even one Yoruba actor was there. Or are they saying we’re not worthy of being celebrated?”
Despite his penchant for predicting disasters, Nigerian ‘Prophet’ T.B. Joshua has finally unveiled a prophecy with ‘good news’.
A video has surfaced online claiming Joshua foretold the hijack situation that unfolded in Egypt in the early hours of Tuesday 29th March, countering insinuations that the cleric’s controversial predictions only concern ‘doom’ and ‘gloom’.
“I am seeing a balloon – it was hijacked and people were inside,” Joshua is seen telling his congregation in an undated video, describing a scenario that would result in ‘Breaking News’ worldwide.
“But at the end of the day, they were able to rescue the balloon and the people… they will not be able to blow anything,” he continues, followed by heavy applause from the congregation
Joshua then led his members in a prayer of thanksgiving for the impending ‘rescue’ and ‘victory’.
The prophecy allegedly concerns the explosive events that occurred when a man hijacked EgyptAir flight MS181 carrying at least 55 passengers from Alexandria to Cairo on Tuesday morning, forcing it to land in Cyprus.
Most passengers were released immediately but at least seven people, including crew members, were forcibly kept on the plane by the hijacker who claimed to be wearing a suicide belt which he threatened to detonate.
The crisis eventually drew to a conclusion several hours later as the remaining hostages began to cautiously emerge from the plane, one making a dramatic jump from a cockpit window.
The suspected hijacker then appeared with his hands up, subsequently being arrested.
Joshua made headlines for another prediction last week when Emmanuel TV’s official YouTube channel released a video claiming he predicted the tragic terrorist attacks in Brussels, Belgium which led to the deaths of over 31 people.
Malawian President Peter Mutharika also publicly mocked Joshua for allegedly predicting his impending death, although no substantial evidence was provided to show such a prophecy was ever made.
Nigeria have been dumped out of the qualifiers for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) after going down 1-0 to Egypt in Alexandria.
This makes it two consecutive Afcon misses for the Super Eagles and three in the last four events following continental blackouts 2012, and 2015.
The Samson Siasia-led side needed nothing short of a win to go through after being held to a 1-1 draw by the Pharaohs at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna, last Friday, but were undone by a 65th minute goal from Ramadan Sobhy.
The Al Ahly midfielder prodded home from 16 yards after a goalmouth scuffle when the Eagles defence failed to clear a Mohamed Salah corner-kick.
It was a fairly open game in Alexandria as both sides played on the front foot, but Hector Cuper’s men carved out the clearer chances with stand-in eagles goalie Daniel Akpeyi pulling off a double-save in the first-half to keep the game scoreless.
But as the game wore out, the hosts made the most of Nigeria’s defensive lapses with Sobhy’s sucker punch, while Victor Moses came closest to getting an equaliser with a shot off the post after 84 minutes.
Siasia threw on Arsenal teenager Alex Iwobi in the dying stages but the harm was already done, and the three-time African Champions will have to wait a little longer before rubbing shoulders with the continent’s finest again.

Brazilian officials have refused to let a couple give their daughter a Yoruba name because, ‘it makes no sense”in Portuguese ..Cizinho Afreeka and wife Juliana desired to name their daughter “Makeda Foluke.” This is because they have roots with the Yoruba culture.
BW of Brazil reports that officials at the registration office declined stating it could provide possible future suffering for the person in social life.”
Despite their explanation, Foluke’s parents believe that the real reason their daughter’s chosen name was denied was because of racism.
The child’s father, Afreeka, said
“It’s a form of racism that takes place in Brazil: the racism of subtleties,” “It should be very natural a man and a Black woman adopting an African name, as the country is made up of three races. It is difficult to prove. Only those in this skin knows.”
In response, officials have denied racism comes into play.Their report reads
“The prosecutor’s office issued an opinion against the use of the name because they considered it likely to cause future problems for the child, suggesting a pre-name was added to the other names…such as Ana Maria Makeda or something like this.
When you pronounce the name in Portuguese it makes no sense at all, except for coming out wrong, which could provide possible future suffering for the person in social life.
Luiz Fernando, a civil registration official, said.
“The procedure is necessary with any name that can be used to leave the child in a vexatious situation or bullying. You have to filter.
These procedures are normal, no one refused to do the registration,” “It is not the name, not the meaning. It’s pronunciation, diction. Racism is really in people’s minds.”
The officials asked the couple give Makeda a more European-sounding first name. Then they could use Foluke as her middle name. However, little Makeda’s parents aren’t having it.
Makeda’s parents are left with no choice but to appeal to a judge to see if they can officially give her an African name.
“I will keep on until the end,”Afreeka said. “Either it will be Makeda Foluke or she’ll be with no registration.”

Eyewitnesses said the three cars were speeding from Dugbe to Sango when a blue Toyota Corona, marked Lagos EKD 470BJ, lost control while trying to overtake the other cars at 5.15am.

Popular Canadian singer, Justin Bieber was about to go all out to win Selena Gomez back again…but something made him cancel all his plans.
A source close to Justin Bieber said the 23-year-old singer wanted to surprise his former girlfriend, Selena Gomez after she attended his concert last week. “Justin wanted to rent out the Staples Center after his concert to do a repeat date night screening of ‘Titanic’ for Selena because he is trying to get back with her,” the insider told E! News.
However, Justin canceled his plan and no one really knew what actually caused him to make the decision. “I don’t know why he didn’t go through with it, and I also don’t know if he ever even told Selena about his plan, but I do know he is really obviously trying to date her again,” the source explained. “He wanted to do something big and extravagant for her like this and had been making arrangements for the movie date before his concert even started.”
People close to the situation speculated that the Biebs chose to call off his plan because he had a fight with the former Disney star. “The speculation is that an argument had taken place between the two before the show since he canceled the date plans,” the source continued. “Something had shifted Bieber’s mood completely.”
Things eventually got worse and Justin’s mood reportedly ruined a lot of things, including his meet and greet with fans. “He canceled his meet and greet that fans paid $2000 for,” the source added. “During his concert between songs, he was alluding to the fact that he wasn’t happy to be there. At one point during the concert he was just lying on the stage not singing, just letting the track run.”
First it was Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr Ibe Kachikwu’s last week saying he didn’t have a magic wand to stop the persistent fuel scarcity crippling the nation and now Femi Adesina, the special adviser to President Buhari on Media & Publicity, whose comment during an interview on Channels TV yesterday (March 28) regarding the declining power situation in the country, has left many Nigerians angry.
He said,
Those who are crying they are in darkness should go and hold those who vandalized oil installations.
I am pro Buhari and appreciate that he and his administration are doing their best to improve the country but the impression some members of his team give is that they are doing us a favour, like this Nigeria isn’t for all of us on top of that they are so disrespectful.

Meanwhile Victoria heads her sought-after fashion label, David keeps busy with DB Ventures Limited, which is ‘focused on exploiting the David Beckham brand’.
David’s departure from VBL represents just the latest of the couple’s quiet capital moves, adding fuel to the fire of divorce rumors.
In May 2014, the couple sold their “Beckingham Palace” estate in Hertfordshire. Then in August, 2015, it was their Madrid mansion that sold. And in October, 2015, they sold off their French villa on the Cote d’Azur.

A middle-aged woman (name withheld), has been allegedly gruesomely murdered last Saturday, by a man who’s name was given simply as Sunny, at Agbor, Ika South local government area of Delta state.
The victim was said to have been ambushed by her assailant who is currently being detained in police custody, for about two days at the particular spot along Agbor-Sakponba Road, where he dragged her out of her gray coloured Toyota saloon car and descended on her.
According to a source in the community, the victim was going to attend a burial ceremony at Oki on the fateful day before her assailant snuffed breath out of her.
“The murderer was so callous. The suspect used cutlass to cut her ear, stomach, buttocks, back, laps and spread her legs on the road, exposing her private part. We have never seen a thing like this before,” the source said.
The source noted that the shout of the victim attracted people to the scene but that their intervention came too late.
“When the mob gathered and saw the lifeless woman in the pool of her blood, they attacked the assailant who was still holding his blood stained cutlass. They even broke his head before the police came and took him away,”
the source said, adding that, the intervention of policemen saved the assailant from being killed by angry mob.
