A lady Victoria Alaegbu, has been exposed for using charms on her fiancé, Prince Hillary Unachukwu and later running away with his $1.5million (N295.5 million).
Vitoria was said to have administered a “noxious” substance on Prince Hillary last December in Ikoyi, Lagos. The substance knocked him out between 8pm and midnight and gave her enough time to steal his money and she went ahead to lock the Prince inside his house.
Prince Hillary woke up when the charm wore off and shouted for help.
Victoria has been arrested by the police. She was arraigned on Wednesday at an Igbosere Magistrates Court in Lagos on a 5-count charge of conspiracy, attempt to kill, stealing, unlawful detention, etc.
Prosecutor, Sergeant Nicholas Akpene said she locked the Prince up inside his apartment with a padlock.
Victoria also had a SIM card with number 07087773669, which was not registered in her name.
The non-registration of her SIM card was with intent to commit fraud. She denied the charges.
Magistrate S. K. Matepo granted Victoria bail in N5million with two sureties in the like sum.
She ordered that the sureties must swear to an affidavit of means and show evidence of tax payment. One of the sureties must be her relation. The case was adjourned till February 10 for trial.

Yesterday, Amber Rose blasted Kanye West after he attacked her ex Wiz Khalifa on twitter and made comments about her son with Wiz Khalifa.

A group of suspected cultists have been apprehended by the police in Ebonyi State.
The state Commissioner of Police, CP, Peace Abdallah, made this disclosure on Wednesday while parading the suspects.
According to the CP, the incident occurred at Igboeze Onicha in Onicha Local Government Area.
“Six of the cult boys, Ugochukwu Onueze, Michael Innocent, Ogbonnaya Okike, Ogbonnaya Ogbu, Nnamdi Ogbonnaya and Emmanuel James, abducted two girls, dragged them into the bush, initiated them into their cult group and forcibly had carnal knowledge of them.
“The suspected cultists are said to be members of a terror cult group popularly known as German Arror,” Abdallah noted, stating that they will be charged to court after investigations were concluded.
MRS Filling Station on Lawanson Street in The Surulere Area of Lagos state is currently on Fire. Eyewitnesses who are at the scene and sharing pictures and video of the incident on social media report that the fire is extending to neighboring buildings.

Ghanaian Government has been advised to consider the possibility of blocking social media sites during the November elections.
A security analyst, Irbard Ibrahim who made this suggestion in an interview on Radio Ghana explained that Ghana must do something “extraordinary to safeguard the results of our elections in November.”
Although he admitted that a total social media blackout during the period may not be too helpful to the discourse, he maintained that “it’s an avenue that can be looked at.”
Ghanaians will on November 7 elect new Members of Parliament (MPs) as well as a new President. This year’s election has been tipped to be one of the most keenly contested elections in the country’s history and calls for peace before, during and after the polls have already begun.
According to Mr. Ibrahim however, for peace to prevail and for people to trust the election results,
“government can look at a complete blackout or get a much more proactive social media portals so that you will be able to pre-empt all these things by giving out the right information.”
Mr. Ibrahim further recommended that the Electoral Commission should consider being very active on social media prior to the elections to help establish in the minds of Ghanaians that they are the go to source for any election related issue.
He said the EC can take a cue from Nigeria’s Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) which took similar steps during their elections last year.
“We can do what Nigeria did; what INEC did – the Independent National Electoral Commission in Nigeria so that we will become more proactive than individual users and saboteurs that are on Facebook and Twitter so that you educate the whole nation as to where they can get authentic results rather than people giving results of various constituencies they’ve not been to or talking about violent activities when there is no iota of truth in it,” he said.

A 27 year old lady died from Lassa fever in Lagos on Tuesday January 26th. Confirming her death, the Lagos state Commissioner for Health, Jide Idris, said the lady died of the disease at the Ijede General Hospital.
She is said to have traveled to Lagos from Edo state on January 2nd and had been down with a fever.
“The lady had received care in one private hospital and three churches before she was referred to Ijede General Hospital with fever.
She died few hours of admission. We confirmed that she died of Lassa fever on Tuesday. The remains of the patient have been kept in the morgue in leak proof body bag.
She is to be buried after due consultation with her family. So far, Lagos State has recorded 20 suspected cases of Lassa fever since the outbreak of the disease. As of now, 14 suspected cases tested negative, while four cases were confirmed positive of Lassa fever.
The results of two suspected cases are pending. The ministry has listed 537 contacts of the confirmed cases and 534 of the contacts are currently being monitored.”he said
This will be the second Lassa fever death in Lagos. A 51 year old man who also traveled to Lagos from Edo state died of the disease last week.

An expectant mother, one Mrs Tosin Taiwo, is battling to save her unborn baby after allegedly suffering a womb rupture following her collapse in police custody on Tuesday.
Mrs Taiwo who claimed to have bled for two days in police cell, said she was rushed to Randle General Hospital in Surulere, where it took doctors two hours to revive her.
She said she spent four days in detention at Surulere Police Station and was denied bail by the Investigating Police Officer (IPO). Mrs Louisa Njoku, who claimed to be acting on “orders from above”.
Mrs Taiwo, who is in hospital at Agbado Ijaiye, a Lagos suburb, said she was arrested last Saturday at Meiran Market over the N4.2million she is owing Ajibola Abudu, a businessman.
The woman, who is eight-weeks pregnant, said her scan result shows there is a rupture in her womb. She told The Nation yesterday that she suffered breath seizure in detention.
Mrs Taiwo said:
“I was locked up for four days without bail. I bled on Saturday and Sunday, I also told the policemen that I was not feeling well but nothing was done. I was taken to Randle General Hospital but I left there on Tuesday evening. I am now at a family hospital in my area where I have done scan and they said there is a rupture somewhere in my womb.
“It must have been caused by my inability to breathe while inside the cell. I could not cope there, I suffered breath seizure. The toilet was dirty and the stench in the cell was unbearable. It was choking. There was even no water to bath or anything. The experience was horrible.”
She said she borrowed money from the complainant to do business last May but was duped, adding that he rebuffed all her entreaties for a payment plan. Abudu, she claimed, insisted that she should pay the money once.
Her husband Olusola Taiwo said the IPO disobeyed the order of Area C Commander Tajudeen Bakare, an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), to release her.
He said:
“She refused to release and did not charge her to court. I told the IPO that my wife was not feeling well but she refused to listen.
“The IPO said she will not grant her bail due to instruction from above. I believe the complainant gave the instruction. That is why he brought the case to Surulere Police Station where he knows officers.
“One of the officers, who arrested her at Meiran, boasted that she would rot in jail.
“He brought police to arrest her on Saturday and detained her at Surulere Police Station. All efforts to secure her bail proved abortive as the IPO told us there was instruction from above not to grant her bail.”
Taiwo said after he failed to secure his wife’s bail on Sunday and Monday, he went to see Bakare, who called the parties and pleaded with Abudu to accept the payment plan.
“But the complainant refused insisting on complete payment, otherwise, my wife should be charged to court. When the Area Commander saw that he was not cooperating, he ordered the IPO to release my wife since the case was a civil matter, but his directive was not followed by the IPO who restated there was an ‘order from above’ to detain her.
“Because of our insistence, the IPO said she would be charged to court on Tuesday morning. We went to the station early in the morning and waited for that to happen. It was in the course of waiting that my wife fainted.
“We rushed her to Randle General Hospital with the IPO in the vehicle and it took about two hours before she was revived. I was called to come to the station and sign for her bail while she was still at the hospital,” he said.
