Hauwa Indimi-Yar’adua, the daughter of Maiduguri billionaire oil mogul, Mohammed Indimi, has taken to social media to bemoan the rising cost of foodstuff in the country.
The billionaire daughter, who recently welcomed her second child, posted a photo of a small basket of tomatoes her staff bought for N8000 in Abuja.
According to her, she was taken aback by the price of the tomatoes and still can’t believe the amount it was purchased.

Adeyeye Adeola, who hails from Ondo state, started the cooking marathon a few days ago and plans to cook continuously for 150 hours. The cook-a-thon is presently holding at TMF Lounge and Bar in Ile Oluji, Ondo State, Nigeria.
However, a video that recently emerged online suggests that the Ondo chef turned off the gas burner and comfortably ate one of the dishes she prepared.
This seemingly contradicts one of the rules of Guinness World Record for the cook-a-thon which states that the participant must not turn off the gas burner during the marathon.
Mr Romanus Ejikeme, father of the Anambra student who was accused of forging her JAMB result, has spoken out amid the controversy surrounding his daughter.
It was earlier reported that Ejikeme Mmesoma, a student of the Anglican Girls Secondary School, Nnewi in Anambra State, is being accused of inflating her result and falsely declaring herself as the top scorer for the 2023 UTME.
According to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Mmesoma’s actual score in the examination was 249, which is different from the 362 she has been claiming.
In an interview with Leadership newspaper, Mmesoma’s father addressed the accusation and refuted the claims of his daughter falsifying her result.
He further accused the board of attempting to siphon the N3 million scholarship she obtained from Innocent Chukwuma, the chairman of Innoson Motors.
He also mentioned that his daughter has consistently demonstrated exceptional academic abilities and consistently came first position in her class. He added that he firmly believes his daughter is incapable of manipulating her result.
His words,
“We are from Oduma in Aninri local government in Enugu state, but we live in Uruagu, Nnewi. Mmesoma is my first child. She had always taken first position from the time she was in the nursery school at Ogbunike Central School.
When she was at Oba Girls’ Secondary School, Mmesoma was representing the school in competitions. So when she changed to Anglican Girls’ Secondary School, her teachers in Oba Girls came and pleaded with me, begging me to retain her in their school; that she is promoting the name of their school.
Mmesoma cannot manipulate her UTME score. I don’t believe what they are saying. They just want to transfer that scholarship to another person. That is why they are saying that Mmesoma did not make that score.
It is even her (Mmesoma) friends that saw her score on the internet and started calling her before she went and printed it out. We have the print-out with us now.”
Speaking further, Ejikeme expressed his concern over his daughter’s emotional state, sharing that she has been feeling extremely sad and even shedding tears since her visit to the commissioner of education, followed by her subsequent transfer to the DSS office.
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has maintained its stance that trending Anambra student, Ejikeme Mmesoma, inflated her result in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The board, had in a statement released on Sunday, July 2nd, announced that Mmesoma, a student of the Anglican Girls Secondary School, Nnewi in Anambra State, inflated her result and falsely proclaimed herself as the top scorer for the 2023 UTME.
According to JAMB, Mmesoma’s actual score in the examination was 249, contrary to the 362 she has been claiming.
However, in a video, the girl denied forging the result, noting that the allegation against her by JAMB has left her traumatized.
Despite Mmesoma’s insistence that she did not forge her result and that the result she’s parading was printed from JAMB’s official website, Fabian Benjamin, the spokesperson of JAMB, reiterated in an interview with Leadership that no candidate scored 362 in the 2023 UTME.
Regarding how the board determined that the result Mmesoma was parading is fake, Benjamin stated that the QR Code on the result she was holding showed that it belonged to a candidate who sat for the exam in 2021, and that candidate scored 138.
The JAMB spokesperson alleged that Mmesoma had edited someone else’s result and started parading herself as the highest scorer of the 2023 UTME.
He also claimed that the design of the result Mmesoma has with her is different from what JAMB used for the 2023 UTME candidates.
“Immediately the result was released, she checked her result. Instead of sending ‘result’ to 55019 to view her result, she sent ‘UTME’ to the code. But because the phone number she is using is a unique identifier, the machine then sent her the result.
She then doctored the result the way she wanted it and sent it back to the USSD code. The code also returned her original result again. She sent it like four times and got her original result,” he said in part.

Sensational Nigerian singer, Simisola Kosoko better known as Simi, has revealed how she met the absolute love of her life, singer Adekunle Gold.
The mother of one shared the heartwarming story during a recent interview on Beat FM.
She disclosed that when she was involved in gospel music, Adekunle Gold was a huge fan of hers and sent her numerous messages on Facebook. However, she didn’t see those messages and didn’t know him at the time.
Their paths eventually crossed at one of her musical performances when Adekunle Gold attended the show to watch her perform. After the event, he approached her to express his admiration as a fan.
According to Simi, her husband was very persistent in his pursuit of her as he explored every means to get her attention. She said she eventually became his friend because she was attracted to his kindness.
She said he asked her to be his girlfriend that same year, and the rest, they say, is history. The celebrity couple dated for five years and tied the nuptial knot in 2019.

“In the gospel community, I was pretty well known. And he [Adekunle Gold] had heard my album at that time as well.
“He has been reaching out to me on Facebook, DMing me on Facebook. But I didn’t see those DMs until we started dating.
“I don’t remember how we eventually linked up again. I had a show Bogobiri, and he turned up. He was very slim at that time with white BYC and jeans. He came to see me perform. I was like, ‘Oh hey! He was like, ‘Oh! I’m such a fan.’ And I was like, ‘Okay!’ [laughs].
“I don’t know, he must have been persistent because there is a friendship that came out from there. I thought he was a really nice guy. We became friends and later that year, he asked me out.
“I mean, as much as I was sounding like all that, I still didn’t really have nothing. He was a nice guy and I was like, ‘Okay, I don’t mind a nice guy’ [laughs].”
A married Nigerian man, John Emoavigho has taken to social media to narrate the story of how a DNA paternity test revealed that the girl who accused him of being the cause of her pregnancy in 2020 was lying.
Emoavigho, who wed his wife in 2021, said on Facebook three days ago that the girl who went by the name Peace Ugu claimed he was the father of her kid, Michelle. He was then taken into custody and brought before a Delta State court.
He said that after entering a not-guilty plea in front of the Owhelogho Magistrate Court, he was given a bail bond of N100,000 with two sureties.
Emoavigho agreed to settle the dispute out of court despite being absolutely certain he wasn’t the child’s father.
He promised to pay the girl’s family’s claim for N467,000 in damages over the course of many months.
Emoabigho was arrested, charged with a crime, and placed in the Kwale jail correctional center where he spent two months in January 2021 after he failed to pay a portion of the agreed-upon amount.
The court mandated that a DNA test be performed on the child on May 23, 2023 and the test proved that he is not the father of the said child.
He wrote;
“A girl called Peace Ugu and her full family has been accusing me that I got her pregnant since 2020, I was arrested and taken to area command, ozoro station and they charged me to Owhelogbo magistrate court and Ozoro high court of justice,” he explained.
At owhelogbo magistrate court, I was facing 5 count charges leveled against me and all count was criminal and punishable offence. And in high court of justice ozoro I was charged for civil suit right demanding for DNA paternity test the girl claimed.
I pleaded not guilty in all 5 criminal count charges leveled against me at owhelogbo magistrate court, and I was granted bail with fine of #100,000 with 2 surety.
In high court of justice demands for DNA paternity test, I knew very well that I’m not the father of that baby they claim to be mine, after wasting some of my money in the in court I went with my whole family for settlement in December 2020 so that I can take the child responsibilities, because I can’t be wasting my money in something that is not really relevant
The girl family Ugu demanded for damage of #467,000 which I have agreed to pay #53,500 every 60 days which is 2 months then both family agreed and we went to owhelogbo magistrate court to strike out the case leaving only high court of justice ozoro behind.
February 2021 due for my first instalment to pay #53,500 but January 2021 they served me high court papers to appear in court to pay them the agreement settlement fee in court dated for me to appear before the court march 3rd, I got angry then march I went to high court and the Judge told me to go home and settle with them. I invited my family again to their family house, they said I got their daughter pregnant I was denying so that’s no settlement over this anymore that’ll go to jail with bet.
Matter remains in high court of justice ozoro silently, I was served another court appearance paper 25th of October 2021 which I did the judge said go home again and settled with them, matter still silent in high court, they claimed they serve me court appearance paper in 2022 which I didn’t see.
21st December 2022 the girl’s brother, Oreva Ugu hold me to police officer when I was eating in a restaurant with high court order with 2 warrant, disobedience to court and failed to conduct DNA paternity test
I was kept in Owhelogbo police station within 2 hours, area command ozoro station police came to owhelogbo station to pick me up to area command ozoro cell, 22nd December 2022 at about 8:30am I was sent to Kwale prison correctional center
I spent 2 months and 2 days in prison remand. After I was released from prison correctional center Kwale, I got angry then I demanded for the DNA test they want for long to prove them wrong.
On 23 May 2023, court ordered to collect my sample with the child sample, both family and court secretary present in Lily clinic Warri which cost us #181,000.
After sample collected, Lily clinic said sample will be send to abroad and results will be out within 15 working days.
DNA paternity test result came out probability of paternity 0% sure I’m not the father of the alleged child. Glory to God Almighty who stood for me.

Chisom, the Nigerian lady who claimed that Nigerian singer Davido impregnated her and promised her money to terminate it, has tendered a public apology to him.
In a video she shared on TikTok on Sunday, July 2, Chisom alleged that she once had an intimate relationship with Davido that resulted in a pregnancy.

At the same time, he emphasized that it is men who ultimately make the decision about when to enter into marriage and how many wives they desire.
In his post, he urged men to respect and support women’s choices in regards to pregnancy and childbirth, while also reminding women to respect men’s decisions when it comes to the number of wives they choose to have.
“Gentlemen, remember. It’s women who decides when to fall pregnant and how many kids she can carry, stop violating women! Women, remember. It’s men who decides when to get married and how many wives he wants, stop violating men,” he wrote.

A Nigerian chef who is currently on a quest to break Hilda Baci’s record for the longest individual cooking marathon has sparked mixed reactions online after she reportedly turned off the gas while cooking.
Adeyeye Adeola, who hails from Ondo state, started the cooking marathon a few days ago and plans to cook continuously for 150 hours. The cook-a-thon is presently holding at TMF Lounge and Bar in Ile Oluji, Ondo State, Nigeria.
However, a video that recently emerged online suggests that the Ondo chef turned off the gas burner and comfortably ate one of the dishes she prepared.
This seemingly contradicts one of the rules of Guinness World Record for the cook-a-thon which states that the participant must not turn off the gas burner during the marathon.

A bride in Sydney, Australia, has narrated how her groom asked for a divorce on their wedding night.
The woman, identified as Rachel, shared her story on Australian radio personality Abbie Chatfield’s Hit Network radio show.
Rachel revealed that her new husband had asked for sex on their wedding night but became furious when he “didn’t get what he wanted.”
According to Rachel, the following morning, her husband demanded a divorce, leading to their official separation just two weeks after their wedding.
“I was married for not even 24 hours before my husband wanted a divorce, and we separated two weeks later. The night of the wedding, we went out, and when we got back to the hotel room, unfortunately, I didn’t give him what he wanted. We were tired.
