Lady fümes as technician stepped on her bed with his shoes to work on her air conditioner (Watch)

A lady expressed her displeasure online after finding a technician she called to work on her air conditioner, wearing his shoes on her bed.

In the video shared online, she captured the man’s back view as he inspected  the air conditioner in the bedroom. His appearance and professionalism irked her after she saw him in his protective boots on her bed, stepping on fabric similar to a bedspread.

Below are some comments,

I apologize — Power minister begs Nigerians over outages

Nigeria’s Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has apologised to Nigerians over the widespread power outages experienced across the country in recent weeks. Speaking during a press briefing in Abuja on Tuesday, the minister admitted that the persistent blackouts have made life more difficult for households, businesses, schools, and industries, especially during the intense dry-season heat.

According to Adelabu, the government is aware of the hardship the erratic electricity supply has caused. With temperatures rising across many parts of the country, demand for electricity has also increased, particularly as people rely more on cooling systems. He acknowledged the frustration Nigerians are currently facing and said the situation is not what the government wants.

The minister explained that the disruption in electricity supply is largely linked to challenges affecting gas supply to power plants. Nigeria’s power generation relies heavily on gas-fired plants, and recent issues involving gas pipelines and supply constraints have reduced the amount of electricity that can be generated and distributed.

However, Adelabu assured Nigerians that efforts are already underway to resolve the problem. He revealed that a committee has been set up to monitor gas supply to power plants and ensure that producers meet their domestic supply obligations. He also expressed optimism that repairs on affected gas pipelines, including facilities connected to energy company Seplat Energy, would soon be completed.

While apologising for the current challenges, the minister said the government expects electricity supply to begin improving within the next two weeks as repair works are concluded and gas supply stabilises. He added that the administration remains committed to strengthening Nigeria’s power sector and improving electricity delivery across the country.

Adelabu further reiterated the Federal Government’s broader target of increasing power generation capacity to about 6,000 megawatts before the end of 2026. According to him, the current difficulties are temporary, and the goal is not just to stabilise the system but to build on previous improvements and deliver better power supply to Nigerians.

Police arrest suspected one-chance operators hiding in Ibadan hotel

Police in Oyo State have arrested a group of suspected armed robbers believed to be involved in using tricycles to rob unsuspecting members of the public. The arrests were made after security operatives received credible information about the activities of the group.

According to reports, the suspects were hiding in a hotel located around the 7UP/Academy area of Ibadan when the police moved in to apprehend them. The operation followed a tip-off from concerned residents who alerted authorities about suspicious activities in the area.

Acting on the information, police officers carried out a coordinated operation and raided the location, leading to the arrest of six individuals. The suspects were identified as Kelvin Daniel (21), Idris Ramon (25), Christopher Solomon (35), Mohamed Telim (21), Taored Aderibigbe (30), and Adekunle Tolani (27).

During the operation, several items believed to be linked to their activities were recovered. These included 18 mobile phones, an Opay ATM card, a National Identification Number (NIN) card, and a tricycle with registration number OYO SHK 508 QP, which authorities say was used by the group to carry out their operations.

The spokesperson for the Oyo State Police Command, DSP Alayande Olayinka, confirmed the arrests while speaking to journalists. She stated that early investigations indicate the suspects are members of a criminal gang that has been terrorizing residents across parts of Ibadan.

Olayinka added that investigations are still ongoing and assured the public that the suspects will be charged to court once the investigation is concluded. She also said further updates will be shared as the case progresses.

Uncle who refused to show up when his relative was s!ck, spends 5M on his burial

An uncle whose s!ck-relative had reached out to for financial assistance, shows up after the relative had passed, to give him a grand burial.

According to the post, shared on X by @Mikeliberation, A boy who was bedridden for three months, had reached out to his wealthy uncle for assistance.

Each time he called, the Uncle will make a promise that never shows up.

S@dly, the boy p@ssed away and was bur!ed.

It was at that moment that this uncle of his showed up; built a VIP tent for the burial and bought two cows for the family. Spending nothing less than 5 Million Naira, in comparison to the 900,000 Naira that the boy needed for his medical treatment.

“What’s the value of a grand bur!al .. when you couldn’t help him stay alive?”, the story teller asked.

Below were some of the online reactions:

@gurl_lambo I don’t think that his uncle’s more is pure, most of them make money but they can’t spend it on family because that is the law of their coven.

@SweetMoMdee I think part of what happens is many think the situation is exaggerated or a lie to extort money. Many underestimate how truly s!ck the person is and take their chances on the person bouncing back. You can’t fake de@th though. By the way I don’t behave like this so I have no way of really knowing that motivates such behavior but it’s very common.

@RaphaelAdumekwe This is a pathetic truth found seen in many of our customs.. the only time people can find help is in their de@th. Very b@d.

@Armanixchange This is nothing short of w!ck3dness. And happens in a lot of families

“before he could process things, she already had a solution” – Man bre@ks up because his girlfriend was too smart

From a story shared on X by @Brownscorpio, a couple had broken up, not for che@ting nor disrespect, but for something that would be assumed to be a plus.

The man, who is currently getting married to another lady, says he broke up because she was “too smart”.

That she was always steps ahead; before he could process things, she already had a solution. That to him was being too forward and too aware. He wants someone simpler, someone he could lead without feeling intimidated.

After the br3@ke up, he will go ahead to support her business, and wish her well.

The writer concludes with a question:

“how do you lose a good woman, not because she lacked anything, but because she had too much?

This has stirred different reactions online:

@Ibuildo1 Hiss l0ss.. For someone like me? I’m never letting her go

@chookaah There is a man for every woman. For him to feel that way, she was smart in an imposing way, probably bru!sed his ego. You can be smarter than your man without making him look inferior.

@demzbebi What do men really want?

@thaGuyQriix He didn’t l0se her because she was ‘too much.’ He l0st her because he was too little. A man who feels thre@tened by intelligence isn’t ready for partnership… he’s looking for control. That’s not love. That’s ins3curity.

@WinterFairyEfeM Such a low quality man. Most men in our society don’t like smart women this is why they end up getting married to pretenders who wants to kpa! them after.

“Marry within your tax bracket; rich groom vs poor bride situations don’t end well,” — Nigerian World Bank legal analyst advises

A Nigerian woman, Vivian Irondi, who works as a legal analyst with the World Bank Group, has shared her thoughts on marriage, advising people to choose partners who are on a similar level financially, intellectually, and academically.

Irondi, a philanthropist and mother of two, made the comment in a post on Facebook where she encouraged individuals to be mindful of compatibility beyond emotions when choosing a life partner.

In her post, she warned that relationships where there is a major gap in financial status or intellectual level — such as a wealthy groom marrying a much poorer bride or the other way around — often come with challenges.

She urged people to consider these factors before settling down, stressing that marrying someone within the same “tax bracket,” intellectual capacity, and educational level could help avoid problems in the long run.

Bayero University Kano dismisses 171 students over fake admission documents

Bayero University Kano (BUK) has expelled 171 students after discovering that they submitted fake documents during their admission process. The decision was taken as part of the university’s effort to protect its academic standards and maintain honesty in its admission system.

The expulsion was approved during the university Senate’s 433rd meeting held on March 4, 2026. This came after the Senate reviewed findings from a report presented by the Senate Committee on Entry Qualification Irregularities, which investigated suspected issues with students’ admission credentials.

In a statement published in the university’s weekly bulletin on Friday, the school explained that the affected students were found to have provided falsified documents when applying for admission. According to the statement, the Senate approved their expulsion after confirming that the documents used for entry into the university were not genuine.

The university said the action was taken in line with its academic regulations, which clearly state that presenting false admission qualifications is a serious offence that carries expulsion as punishment. The school also revealed that the students involved were from different departments and levels, noting that the move was necessary to clean up the university’s academic records.

In a separate case, the Senate also approved the expulsion of a Civil Engineering student, Yusuf Muhammad Sani. The student was accused of physically attacking exam invigilators during an examination, an incident the university said disrupted the exam process and violated its disciplinary rules.

“Three people are still there” — Man abducted by herdsmen says after escaping and returning home

A man who was abducted by suspected herdsmen has reunited with his family after days in captivity, sharing details of the difficult experience he went through while being held by his captors.

The victim, identified as Mr. Anene, was reportedly kidnapped on March 16 while at his workplace. He was taken along with several other individuals during the attack. After the abduction, the kidnappers contacted his family and demanded a ransom of ₦15 million for his release.

However, on Thursday, March 19, Mr. Anene managed to return home on his own. When he arrived, he was seen limping and appeared to be in visible pain as relatives and neighbours gathered to welcome him back. Two men had to support him as he walked slowly toward his family.

Overcome with emotion, his wife was heard speaking on the phone, joyfully telling someone that her husband had returned safely. Mr. Anene later revealed that when he escaped, three other victims were still being held at the kidnappers’ hideout, including a woman who had been abducted with him. It was also alleged that the woman had been subjected to repeated abuse during the period of captivity.

“It’s not easy” — South African man laments after discovering his car had been stripped of all its parts just hours after it was stolen

A South African man identified as Rulph has shared his frustration and sadness after discovering that his car had been stripped of nearly all its valuable parts, leaving behind only the empty frame. The shocking discovery came just hours after the vehicle was reportedly stolen by suspected hijackers.

Rulph explained that the car was taken on the night of Tuesday, March 17, 2026. Like many victims of vehicle theft, he hoped the car would be found intact or recovered by authorities. However, what he later found was far from what he expected.

According to him, the vehicle was located the following day, Wednesday afternoon, March 18. But instead of finding his car as it was, he was met with what he described as “what was left of it.” By the time he saw it again, most of the important components had already been removed.

The thieves had allegedly stripped the car of its major parts, leaving behind little more than the shell. The incident has drawn attention online, with many people reacting in shock at how quickly the car was dismantled after being stolen.

Nigeria agrees to receive deported criminals, failed asylum seekers from the UK

The Nigerian government has entered into a new agreement with the United Kingdom that will allow the UK to send back Nigerians who failed in their asylum applications, people who overstayed their visas, and some convicted criminals. The deal is part of growing cooperation between both countries on immigration control and security matters.

Nigeria’s Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, signed the agreement with the UK’s Home Secretary, Shabana Mahmood, during President Bola Tinubu’s official visit to the United Kingdom. The UK government said the arrangement will make the deportation process easier and faster. Under the deal, Nigeria has agreed to accept UK-issued identification letters for people without valid passports. This means deportations can happen without waiting for emergency travel documents to be processed.

Speaking about the agreement, UK Border Security and Asylum Minister Alex Norris said Nigeria is an important partner in efforts to control illegal migration. He explained that the UK is home to a large Nigerian community and also issues more visas to Nigerians than to any other African country. According to him, the UK government wants to make sure people who break immigration rules or misuse the system are removed quickly.

Tunji-Ojo also said Nigeria is committed to acting responsibly in its international partnerships. He described the relationship between Nigeria and the UK as important and something the country hopes to maintain for many years. He added that Nigeria is ready to be open and fair in fulfilling its responsibilities under the agreement.

The deal is expected to strengthen cooperation between both countries on migration management. Officials said the number of people returned to Nigeria from the UK has almost doubled in recent years, reaching about 1,150 annually. In addition, the UK has removed nearly 60,000 illegal migrants and foreign criminals since the 2024 election.

Both countries also agreed to work together more closely by sharing information and carrying out joint operations to tackle criminal networks that misuse visa systems. The goal, according to officials, is to ensure that people entering the UK do so legally and are able to contribute positively to society.

Pastor who reconciled a prostitute back to Christ, rejects her for a daughter-in-law

A lady known as @Dammy Esquire on X has come online to share an interesting story about a Pastor and a sister from his church, that his son intends to marry.

According to the story shared on X, years ago, the Pastor had one day gone out for evangelism when he encountered a prostitute; which happened to be the same lady. He preached to her, she repented and started attending his church.

A year later she meets with the Pastor’s son. They fall in love and decided they wanted to get married. The man takes her home to meet his family, but his father refused to approve the union.

According to the story, the pastor didn’t see her as daughter-in-law worthy.

A pastor went out for evangelism and met a pr0st!tute.

He preached to her. She repented, gave her life to Christ, left pr0stituti0n, and completely changed her life. She even started attending the same church.

A year later, she met the pastor’s son in church. They fell in love and decided to get married.

When the son took her home to introduce her to his father, the pastor refused.

The same woman he once celebrated as a “soul won for Christ” suddenly wasn’t good enough to be his daughter-in-law.

Now my question is simple:

Do we truly believe in redemption or only when it benefits our sermons?

This has stirred a lot of reactions from X-users;  some doubting the Pastor’s genuity and others re-iterating the importance of a woman’s past.

@AJ: The pastor may not be born again after all. The Bible stated that if any man or woman be in Christ, he or she is a new creature! Old things have passed away, behold all things become new. I’ll suggest that pastor examines his faith if he’s of God or the devil.

@Askari woody No parent will ever allow their son to marry a repented s3x worker, nor will they allow their daughter to marry a repented armed r0bber. Men may forgive but they will never forget. Every time they see the lady, the only image they see is her past. Only God sees us differently.

@Anderson Tsaga A typical example to tell you how important women past is. Redemption is for Jesus not for us here on earth. No one complains when a woman insist on a man with a guaranteed future. Let’s stop down playing women’s past.
