“This was how we lost a very energetic, playful lady” — Man says after his friend’s wife passed during childbirth

A man has shared a heart-wrenching story of how his friend’s wife p@ssed on during childbirth.

The friend recounted how he had driven them both to the hospital on that day, and how fun the ride was because of the way she m0cked her husband for being sc@red – “I enjoyed the conversation”, he added.

They got to the hospital and she was rushed into the labor room. Unfortunately, she had having difficulty giving birth, and the hospital said she needed 4 pints of bl00d which the husband paid for.

But while they awaited the good news, the doctor walked up to them saying they tried everything but only the baby made it out alive.

The husband almost fainted but for the support of his friend. He has not been able to utter a word since the incidence.

The sad tweet has stirred reactions from X-users online:

@onyek45 Some one made a post and appreciated his wife after child birth, some group of men on this app twisted it and said that their cats and dogs give birth too ,no special thing about women giving birth. Omo.

Hilarious moment between a woman and her keke rider boyfriend (Video)

A hilarious exchange between a woman and her boyfriend, who works as a Keke rider, has gotten people talking online when she requested money from him.

During the ride, she confidently requested money from him, sparking a funny back-and-forth between them. The boyfriend’s reaction, caught between surprise and confusion, made the moment even more entertaining.

Her boyfriend gave her 1,500 naira, but she responded that he hadn’t given her the money she had asked for the day before. In his words, she rejected it, so she should forget about the money.

After their banter, the man dropped her off at her destination, telling her to get out of the Keke Napep to pick up passengers.

Their playful interaction highlighted a relatable relationship dynamic, with many praising the lady for staying with her man despite his means of income. While some viewers laughed at his response, others joked about how men react differently depending on the request.

Nigeria’s economy is growing faster than U.S, UK – President Tinubu’s aide, Daniel Bwala

President Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has pointed to the International Monetary Fund’s latest World Economic Outlook as evidence that Nigeria’s economy is on an upward trajectory, outpacing several of the world’s major economies in projected growth for 2026.

Bwala made the claim on his X account on Wednesday while reacting to the IMF report, which was released in April 2026. In his post, he credited the improvement to the reforms being implemented under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, saying the results are beginning to show even if the process has been difficult.

“Nigeria, under the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is turning the corner. Slowly but steadily, the reforms are showing tangible fruits. President Tinubu is not joking; he is seriously fixing the economy,” he wrote.

The IMF figures he referenced do support his headline comparison. According to the World Economic Outlook, Nigeria’s real GDP is projected to grow at 4.1% in 2026, which does place it ahead of the United States at 2.3%, the United Kingdom at 0.8%, Germany at 0.8%, and South Africa at 1.0%. The projection improves further to 4.3% in 2027, putting Nigeria in line with the broader Sub-Saharan Africa regional average for that year.

However, the full picture from the same IMF table offers some context worth noting. Nigeria’s 4.1% growth projection, while higher than those western economies, sits within a Sub-Saharan Africa regional average of 4.3% for 2026, meaning it is not leading the pack within its own region. India is projected at 6.5%, and several other emerging and developing economies are forecast to grow at comparable or faster rates.

Bwala’s post has drawn predictable reactions online, with supporters pointing to the numbers as validation of the administration’s economic direction, while critics argue that GDP growth figures tell only part of the story for ordinary Nigerians still contending with the cost of living, inflation, and the lingering effects of subsidy removal and currency devaluation.

The IMF report was sourced from the organisation’s World Economic Outlook published in April 2026.

Medical doctor passes on after giving birth to triplets in Bayelsa hospital

A medical doctor and obstetrician-gynecologist at the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital in Okolobiri, Yenagoa, has died following complications that arose shortly after she successfully delivered triplets.

Dr. Ere Siana Sintei Ogbachi passed away at exactly 2:45am on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the Intensive Care Unit of the Federal Medical Centre in Yenagoa, where she had been rushed after her condition deteriorated following the delivery.

Her brother, Meshack Sintei, confirmed her death in a Facebook post on Wednesday, April 15, describing the sequence of events that led to her passing.

According to Meshack, Dr. Ere successfully delivered the triplets at NDUTH in Okolobiri before complications set in, prompting her family to transfer her to FMC Yenagoa for emergency care. A team of doctors, specialists and medical experts at the facility’s ICU worked to stabilise her condition, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

“We watched her struggling to live, we watched her gasping for breath, we watched how the team of doctors and other experts and specialists in FMC kept trying their best to revive her,” Meshack wrote, adding that the pulse oximeter in the ICU eventually read down from 70 to 50 and then to zero.
He described his sister as a fighter who held on until the very end.

“After she successfully gave birth to Triplet at the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital (NDUTH) in Okolobiri, Yenagoa LGA Bayelsa State, complications arises that eventually forced us to rush her to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in FMC Yenagoa,” he wrote.

“It was at the ICU in FMC that she eventually gave up the ghöst. My beloved sister, Dr. Ere Siana Sintei Ogbachi d!ed at exactly 2:45am on April 14th 2026.

“We watched her struggling to live, we watched her gasping for birth, we watched at how the team of doctors and other experts and specialists in FMC kept trying their best to revive her, we watched her fighting hard her to survive, and then all of a sudden; the Sp02machine (pulse oximeter) in the ICU began reading/measuring downwards from 70 to 50 and then to 0.

“It was at this point tears started rolling down my eyes 😢 and I knew the inevitable has come. It was a painful experience and more painful for her.

“I want her family and friends to know that she was a fighter to the end. Indeed a generation has been lost and the Sintei Family mourns. It is well. We thank our families, friends, loved ones and well wishers who have reached out and continued to reach out to us.

“(Until her dëäth, she was a Wife, a Mother to Triplet, a Medical Doctor, a Registrar at the NDUTH, a member of the NMA and an Alumnus of the Niger Delta University).”

Until her death, Dr. Ere Siana Sintei Ogbachi was a wife, a mother, a registrar at NDUTH, a member of the Nigerian Medical Association, and an alumnus of Niger Delta University.

The three babies she delivered survived.

She is survived by her husband, her newborn triplets, and her family, who have called on friends and well-wishers to continue keeping them in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult period.

“I have given out millions without a single soul knowing” — Actress Bimbo Ademoye addresses those bashing her over giveaway

Bimbo Ademoye has had enough, and she made sure her 5.1 million followers knew exactly where she stands.

The AMVCA-winning actress took to her Instagram page to address the growing wave of criticism surrounding her ongoing giveaways, and the statement she dropped was equal parts frustration, clarity, and a very direct warning to anyone thinking about crossing a line with her.

It started with her movie hitting 10 million views in just 10 days, a milestone she openly credits to her fans. Off the back of that, she ran a giveaway as a way of giving back, and what followed was something she clearly did not expect. People flooded her DMs accusing her of running fake giveaways. Others screamed favouritism. And at least one person decided the appropriate response was to call her a “stingy goat.”

That last one, she said, was where things went too far.

She broke down the math for anyone struggling to understand why she cannot simply give everyone what they want. With 5.1 million followers, giving each person even 100,000 naira would amount to 510 billion naira. Her response to that figure was delivered in the most Nigerian way possible. “I no get, my papa no get, my forefathers no get!” She is doing this from her own pocket, she stressed, not from any sponsorship or bottomless account.

She also pushed back hard on the favouritism angle, pointing out that she specifically bars her friends and family from participating in her giveaways precisely to avoid any appearance of bias. The irony of being accused of favouritism while actively taking steps to prevent it was clearly not lost on her.

But it was the disrespect she kept coming back to. Bimbo made it clear that the easy, familiar energy she shares with her audience online has limits, and those limits exist regardless of whether someone is a fan or a stranger. “We might kiki, catch cruise and all, but when you cross the line, I can be petty enough to find you, then we can handle it one on one,” she wrote, signing off that section with a pair of “LET US ALL BE GUIDED” that left very little room for misinterpretation.

She also wanted the record straight on one more thing. The giveaways people are seeing publicly are not the full picture of what she gives. She said she has parted with millions privately, with nobody watching and nobody clapping, and that this public giveaway is simply her way of having fun while doing something good for her community.

She wrapped the post by congratulating the winner of her last question, @datsweetclassybae, who walked away with 200,000 naira and a Winston Leather bag, before immediately launching the next round with a new question for another 100,000 naira and a pair of Gbemisoke shoes.

The giveaway, it seems, continues. The tolerance for nonsense, however, does not.

Old tweets from 2021 shows Angel saying that she finds studs annoying

The internet never deletes anything. It just waits.

As the very public collapse of Angel Smith’s marriage to her partner Tumininu continues to play out across Snapchat and X, a tweet the BBNaija star posted back in June 2021 has found its way back into circulation, and people are finding the timing very hard to ignore.
In the resurfaced post, Angel wrote simply, “I hate studs.” Three words. No elaboration. Just a flat, unbothered declaration that she apparently felt strongly enough to put on the internet. When someone replied with “NAwa oh :/”, she followed up with “sorry. Y’all annoying,” which did very little to walk anything back.

For context, a stud in queer terminology typically refers to a dominant, often more masculine-presenting lesbian or queer woman. The kind of energy, many online are now pointing out, that Tumininu carries.

And that is where this gets complicated.

Angel has been openly queer for years. She has been clear about her pansexuality, her support for the LGBTQ+ community, and her right to love whoever she chooses without anyone attaching a backstory to it. When she married Tumininu in that all-black ceremony in the US on March 27, 2026, it felt like a full, public embrace of that identity.

But the marriage began unravelling almost immediately. Tumininu took to Snapchat with a series of explosive posts alleging that Angel had been unfaithful, that she had expressed doubts about their connection, that she had questioned her partner’s finances, and that there had been a troubling lack of intimacy between them. Leaked chat screenshots added even more texture to a situation that was already messy enough without them.

Now this old tweet is back in the mix, and people are connecting dots whether Angel wants them to or not. Some are using it to suggest the incompatibility between her and Tumininu was baked in from the start. Others are pointing out that preferences are complicated and a tweet from 2021 does not necessarily define who someone chooses to build a life with five years later.

What is undeniable is that Angel Smith’s personal life is currently one of the most discussed topics on Nigerian social media, and every old post, every resurfaced screenshot, every cryptic Instagram story is being fed into a machine that is running at full speed.

She has not responded to the resurfaced tweet. Given everything else currently on her plate, that is probably the least of her concerns right now.

I admitted to cheating on Will Smith to protect his ego — Jada Pinkett

When Jada Pinkett Smith sat down at that Red Table in 2020 and confirmed her relationship with singer August Alsina, the world watched what appeared to be a moment of radical honesty from one of Hollywood’s most scrutinised couples. It turns out there was a lot more calculation behind that moment than anyone knew.

Jada is now revealing, while promoting her new memoir “I am, You are, We are, Worthy!”, that her decision to publicly own the entanglement narrative was a deliberate one, made not out of a burning desire to be transparent, but to protect Will Smith and draw a line under a situation that was consuming their family.

She said it plainly. “So if I got to look like the adulterous wife to make sure you’re good, I’m gonna do it.” That single sentence reframes everything about how that Red Table Talk has been understood since it aired.

In her telling, she made a conscious choice to absorb the public’s judgment and become the villain of the story if that was what it took to get Will through the moment and get the whole thing behind them. “Okay, I’m the bad guy. I’m the worst. Great. Let’s be done with it. I wanted it done. Let’s be done. And let’s move on,” she said, capturing the exhaustion of someone who had simply decided that ending the conversation mattered more than how she came out of it.

What she also shared is something that speaks to a deeper tension she had been carrying within the relationship for years, the difficulty of loving someone fully without losing herself in the process. “I learned how to love myself and not leave Will on the side of the road. And I hadn’t learned how to love Will and not leave myself on the side of the road,” she said. It is the kind of line that takes a moment to sit with, because it describes something a lot of people in long, complicated relationships will recognise even if they have never had the words for it.

The Red Table Talk episode came in 2020, two years before the Oscars night that put the Smith family back at the centre of global conversation when Will walked onto the stage and slapped comedian Chris Rock in front of a worldwide audience. Looking at the full timeline now, with this new context from Jada, those two years between the entanglement confession and the Oscars slap take on a different weight.

Jada says she does not look back on any of it as purely negative. She frames the conversations they had publicly and privately as part of a longer journey toward understanding how to be genuine partners to each other without one of them always being the one left behind. Whether the public is ready to receive this new version of the story after everything that has happened is another question entirely.

But she is telling it anyway.

Apostle Chibuzor Offers House and Lifetime Financial Support to Any Young Man Willing to Marry His 21-Year-Old Autistic Foster Daughter

Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, founder of Omega Power Ministries, has once again taken to social media to seek a spouse for one of his autistic foster children, this time putting out a call for a husband for a young woman named Chiemeka Chibuzor.

In a post accompanied by a photo of the 21-year-old, the pastor described her condition and laid out both the requirements for any interested man and the benefits that would come with the arrangement. According to him, Chiemeka has autism but can speak and hear well. He specified that any man wishing to marry her must be young and physically and mentally fit in every regard.

On the benefits side, Chibuzor was generous with what he is putting on the table. The successful candidate would receive lifetime financial support, a free house for life, and a property built jointly in both the couple’s names. OPM staff would also conduct regular unplanned visits to the home to monitor Chiemeka’s safety and wellbeing. He added that there are further benefits beyond what he listed, which he described as hidden.

“This arrangement is to ensure that she is properly cared for, protected, and lives a happy life,” he wrote.

The post has since drawn significant attention online, with many Nigerians drawing direct comparisons to a similar situation that played out just weeks ago when the pastor put out a public call for a wife for his autistic foster son, Aboy Chibuzor. That arrangement also came with a financial package that included ten million naira, a house, an overseas vacation, and a promise of twenty million naira after ten years. It eventually led to a wedding that generated considerable public discussion in its own right.

Reactions to this latest post are still pouring in.

Justin Trudeau Gets Slammed for Sipping From a Plastic Cup at Coachella After Banning Single-Use Plastics Across Canada

The internet has a long memory, and Justin Trudeau is finding that out the hard way this week.

The former Canadian Prime Minister was spotted at the Coachella music festival over the weekend with his girlfriend, pop superstar Katy Perry, and the two of them looked like they were having a wonderful time. Perry posted footage of the outing, and in it, the couple could be seen sipping drinks from red Solo cups. A completely ordinary thing to do at a music festival. Except Trudeau is not a completely ordinary person, and the internet was not about to let this one go quietly.

Because here is the thing. When Trudeau was in office, he championed Canada’s ban on single-use plastics, a policy he pushed from as far back as 2019. Plastic bags, straws, a whole list of items were targeted in the name of environmental responsibility. Canadians were expected to adapt. And now, here was the man who sold them that sacrifice, casually enjoying his weekend beverage from a plastic cup at one of the biggest parties in the world, with his famous girlfriend filming the whole thing.

The reaction was swift and it was not kind.

“Remember when Justin Trudeau banned plastic bags and straws for Canadians to save the planet? Now he’s posting pics using solo cups. Rules for thee, but not for me,” one person wrote on X. Another kept it shorter and sharper, calling him out directly for drinking from a plastic cup after banning them for an entire country. Someone else laid it out in a neat little timeline format: Trudeau in June 2019 announcing the plastics ban, Trudeau in April 2026 smashing drinks from a Solo cup at Coachella.

The contrast did not need much editorial commentary.

To be fair, the specifics matter here. Canada’s single-use plastics legislation does not cover every type of plastic cup, so Trudeau may not have technically violated the letter of the law he helped create. But technicalities have never been great at cooling down public outrage, and the optics of the situation were always going to be the real story regardless of what the fine print says.

Trudeau resigned as Prime Minister in early 2025, stepping down after a turbulent final stretch in office. His personal life had already undergone a significant shift before that, having separated from his wife of 18 years, Sophie Grégoire-Trudeau, more than a year before his resignation. He went public with Katy Perry in October 2025, a pairing that raised plenty of eyebrows at the time and has continued to generate headlines since.

This particular headline, though, was probably not the kind either of them was hoping for when they packed their bags for the desert.

“Our story is real. Our pain is real. Our kidnapping was not fake” — Chibok kidnap survivor speaks on 12th anniversary of their abduction

Twelve years. And the weight of that night in April 2014 has not lifted.

Rebecca Mallum, one of the girls who survived the Chibok school kidnapping that shook Nigeria and drew global attention, marked the 12th anniversary of the abduction on Monday, April 14, with a deeply personal reflection that is difficult to read without feeling something shift inside you.

She wrote from her Facebook page, a space she has dedicated to keeping the memory of kidnapping victims alive and to sharing her own journey as a survivor. And on this particular anniversary, she had a lot to say.

She started the night before, when she posted that the following day was the date that divided her life into two halves. Before that night, she was just a girl with dreams. After it, she became someone fighting to survive. “It was the day fear found me. The day my voice was silenced. The day I was taken away from everything I knew and loved,” she wrote, adding that the mark left on her soul was one that time could never erase.

Then April 14 arrived, and she opened up further.

“Today, 14th April, is a date that will forever remain carved in my heart. It is the day my life changed in a way I never imagined. A day I went from being a young girl with dreams, laughter, and hope, to someone forced into a dark journey I would never have chosen,” she wrote.

She spoke about memories she still struggles to put into words. About nights that come back to her with a pain she cannot fully explain. About moments she says only God helped her survive. And she spoke about her sisters, the girls who were taken alongside her, some of whom never came back, and some of whom are still out there, somewhere, more than a decade later.

What gave her post an added layer of urgency was her direct response to a narrative that has quietly persisted in certain corners of Nigerian public discourse, the claim that the Chibok kidnapping was staged or exaggerated as a political tool to undermine the Goodluck Jonathan administration at the time. Rebecca did not engage with that theory gently. She shut it down with the full authority of someone who was actually there.

“Our story is real. Our pain is real. Our kidnapping was not fake. We lived it. We felt it. We are still healing from it,” she wrote.

It is a sentence that should not need to be said twelve years later. The fact that it does says something uncomfortable about how Nigeria processes its own tragedies.

Rebecca ended her post with gratitude for those who have continued to remember, pray and stand with the girls over the years, and with a plea that the world never stop doing so. She said she speaks not just for herself but for the sisters whose voices are still silent, and for those who never made it home at all.

Her Facebook page has become a quiet but consistent archive of memory, a place where the victims of kidnappings and insecurity in Northern Nigeria are not allowed to become statistics or footnotes. On the 12th anniversary of one of the most haunting events in recent Nigerian history, Rebecca Mallum is still showing up for her sisters.

That alone deserves to be remembered.

Lady shares outcome after her period came while she was eating at a Buka

A lady has shared a story of how she met her husband whilst she was having an embarrassing moment.

The lady had went to a Buka Hut to give herself a good time, and midway through the meal, her period came unexpectedly. She had no pad, nor any back up whatsoever.

After the meal she stood up to get an ice cream. She noticed people’s eyes were all over her, “but I didn’t understand why”.

She got the ice cream and a guy walked up to her and said, “Excuse me… your backside is stained. Please take my jacket to cover up”.

The lady could hardly contain how embarrassed she felt, but the guy’s kindness calmed her. He wrapped his jacket around her and offered to pay for her ride home.

“I insisted on paying, but honestly I was just grateful someone chose kindness over ridicule”, she adds.

They exchange numbers and later went on to get married.

“Sometimes, love doesn’t start with butterflies…sometimes it starts with kindness in your most vulnerable moment”, she concluded.

The story which was shared on X has stirred reactions from X-users:

@Obaiyno  Sometimes, I wonder why so many ladies dont track their menstruation, at least you should know that it is about time the rain will pour, 2to3days before at least, and get prepare for it anywhere you go within that period..me as a man, knows this things..ladies,be vigilant please.

@Nedtips Now that we are in rain season, I’ll start wearing a jacket cause I might meet a girl that is cold and I’ll give her my jacket and the rest will be history. Congratulations to you both. Kindness is always a good thing.

“Parenthood doesn’t end at the altar” — Nigerian woman shares heartwarming video of her husband supporting their pregnant daughter during labour

A Nigerian woman from Plateau State, Kyenpiya Nyabam, has sparked an outpouring of emotion online after sharing a video of her husband standing beside their pregnant daughter during labour, a gesture that many are calling a quiet but powerful display of fatherly love.

Nyabam posted the video on Facebook on Monday, April 13, alongside a lengthy caption reflecting on what she witnessed. In the post, she described watching her husband stand in the delivery space alongside their daughter and son-in-law as one of the most moving moments she had experienced as a mother.

“Watching my husband stand there, strong, steady, present, not just as a father who had given away his daughter, but as one who still covers, supports, and shows up,” she wrote, adding that the moment reshaped how she thinks about parenthood and marriage.

Her central message was that giving a child away in marriage does not mean stepping back from their lives entirely. In her words, parents do not give their children away but rather release them into purpose while remaining their safe place.

She also credited writer Judith Yop Pam-Tok for inspiring part of her reflection, noting that she drew from Pam-Tok’s own writing about parental presence during vulnerable moments.

The post has resonated widely, with many commenters sharing their own experiences and praising the family for modelling what involved, emotionally present parenthood looks like beyond the wedding day.

Lady shares her reaction after discovering her boyfriend’s sxx tapes with her and others.

A lady has come online to share what she did after she found her boyfriend’s sex videos with her and other girls.

According to her, they had just concluded another exciting session of coitus. She laid on his bed waiting on him to get her some food. Bored of waiting, she picked up his personal computer to watch a movie.

She opened his video gallery and behold.. videos; raw videos of him sleeping with different women naked…in the same room, with the same blanket.

Her jaws dropped when she saw theirs, “I froze”, she added.
At that moment, she mustered every courage she had and deleted everything – even from the trash.

Then she began having flashbacks of how he would beg her to send him n*d3s because her body was “art”…”not knowing he had secretly been recording me?”

When he returned, she didn’t even argue. She just left.

“Later he started calling, shouting, swearing

..not because he was sorry,

but because I deleted everything “

She concluded that, that was the end for her.

“Sometimes, you don’t need closure..

you just need and sense and

a safe exit”, she said as she concluded the story.

The story was shared on X by @TheOnlyKemi.

Some X-users have shared their opinions to tweet:

@deluxe_pastor Can you swear that the signs were not there from the very beginning, but you choose to ignore? Can you swear you didn’t choose him because of money or vanity?

@GarenOmonigho Secretly recording someone without consent is ill3gal in many places. You had every right to delete those videos. He was not protecting memories. He was building a library. The fact that he shouted about the deletion not the violation tells you his priority. You did not need closure. You needed distance. You took it. Well done.

Nigerian Chef Faces Criticism Over Cooking Method and Hygiene During Bulk Order (Watch)

There is a video going around and it has caterers, food lovers and everyday Nigerians deeply uncomfortable. Not because of anything dramatic, but because of the kind of details that make you quietly decide never to order food from a stranger again.

A Nigerian chef posted a clip of herself preparing a large batch of jollof rice for a bulk order, and what was probably meant to showcase her hustle ended up doing the complete opposite. From the moment the video started circulating, the comments section turned into a courtroom and she was not winning the verdict.

The first thing people noticed was the turning stick. For the amount of rice in that pot, viewers felt the stick she was using was comically undersized, raising genuine questions about whether the rice at the bottom was getting any attention at all or just sitting there doing whatever it pleased. Her posture over the pot did not help either, bent over in a way that had people visibly cringing as they watched.

Then there was the environment. Rice grains on the floor, water splashed around the cooking area, a general sense of disorder surrounding the whole operation. For someone cooking food that other people are going to pay for and eat, the state of the space around her became a talking point that refused to go away.

But the detail that really sent people over the edge was her nails. Long, acrylic, and very much present throughout the entire cooking process. The argument made itself. Long artificial nails and bulk food preparation are not a combination that inspires confidence, and the comments made sure she heard that clearly.

@Seky put it plainly, questioning why any chef would keep such nails in the first place. @zinnyser simply noted the state of the environment. @Joan took things further and claimed the meat stock had gone sour the night before the event, which if true, would make the jollof rice situation the least of anyone’s worries. @Tombrown went a different route entirely with a comment that was colourful enough to let your imagination fill in the blanks. And then there was the person who simply told her to sit inside the pot, which at that point felt like the internet’s way of saying it had seen enough.

To be fair, a few people acknowledged her hustle and defended her effort. Bulk cooking is genuinely hard work and not everyone who criticises from behind a screen could do it better. But the hygiene concerns raised in the video are not trivial, particularly when the food is going to a large group of people who have no idea what the kitchen looked like when their order was being prepared.

Man who returned after 6 years gets angry after his wife told him to use protection

Six years. That is how long this man was away. And on the very night he came back home, the first fight he picked was about a medical test.
The story has been making rounds on X after user @eezharhh shared it, and it has split the internet cleanly down the middle in the way only these kinds of deeply personal marital situations can.

Here is what happened. A Nigerian man returned home after spending six years abroad. By all accounts, he had been a present husband from a distance, sending money back regularly and keeping the family afloat while he was away. So when he got home and wanted to be intimate with his wife that same night, he probably expected a warm welcome. What he got instead was a request that stopped him in his tracks.

His wife told him she wanted them both to get tested before anything happened between them. Her reasoning was not dramatic or complicated. She simply said she wanted them to know their status and be safe. That was it.

The man’s reaction was to accuse her of not trusting him. He called it emotional blackmail.

Now the internet has opinions, and they are not shy about sharing them.

@eezharhh framed the question that started everything: after six years apart, is asking for a test disrespect or just common sense? He noted that some people feel the wife insulted her husband with the request, while others believe she simply protected herself from consequences that could follow her for the rest of her life. He ended with the line that really got people going: can anyone be away that long and genuinely expect zero questions?

The responses came in fast. @TheCaptainFam made the point that many others were thinking but did not say as directly: if the man has nothing to hide, a ten minute test should not be a problem, and only someone with something to hide would react with anger to that kind of request. @Jossyluv04 sided firmly with the wife, saying that wanting to be safe after a six year separation is not disrespect, it is responsibility. @_Oluwanifemii added a detail that several people had already clocked, that the man landed and was asking for intimacy the same night, which raised its own set of eyebrows.

The lone voice in the man’s corner came from @Baruch_Bashan, who argued that the wife’s insistence on a test was essentially a statement of distrust in her husband’s judgment and his ability to look after himself while abroad.

And there it is. That is where the internet is camped on this one. Two very different ways of reading the exact same situation, and neither side seems particularly interested in moving.

What is harder to argue with, though, is the simple arithmetic of the situation. Six years is a long time. People change. Circumstances change. Asking for a test is not an accusation. It is a conversation. The fact that the conversation ended in anger before it even properly began might be the most telling detail of the whole story.

“If God be for you, no man can be against you, no matter how hard dey try” – Iyabo Ojo throws shades following her new achievement

Iyabo Ojo is winning, she knows it, and she wants everyone else to know it too.

The veteran Nollywood actress has been on a quiet roll since her latest film, The Return of Arinzo, hit cinemas two weeks ago. The movie has grossed N224 million at the box office and held the number one spot for two consecutive weekends. For someone who has had no shortage of people rooting against her over the years, the timing of that success feels very deliberate in how she is choosing to celebrate it.

She did not make a grand announcement about the numbers. Instead, she let the energy do the talking. Posting photos of her look from veteran actress Ita Giwa’s 80th birthday dinner, where she showed up in a stunning red strapless gown that had her Instagram comments completely overwhelmed, Iyabo slipped in a line that was clearly aimed at a specific audience.

“If God be for you, no man can be against you no matter how hard they try,” she wrote, before thanking Nigeria and West Africa for the love and support that has pushed the film to where it is.

The red dress alone would have been enough to get people talking. Floor-length, fitted, dramatic neckline, dripping in beadwork, the kind of outfit that makes it very clear the person wearing it arrived with a point to prove. Paired with the caption she chose, it landed exactly the way it was intended to.

The Return of Arinzo is still showing in cinemas, and Iyabo is already expanding its reach. She confirmed that a UK premiere is locked in for April 25th, with Canada set to be announced soon.

Two weekends at number one, N224 million in the bag, a UK premiere on the horizon, and a birthday dinner outfit that broke the internet. Not a bad fortnight for someone her critics apparently expected to struggle.

Lady shares what happened after she sacrificed her brother’s school fee to save her boyfriend

A lady has shared a surprising turn of events after she assisted her then-boyfriend with her brother’s school fee.

The brother’s school fees were sent to her account because she could handle high-volume transactions.

Barely a month later, her then-boyfriend’s shop then gets burgl3d and r0bbed.

She witness her man cry like a baby, and decided to step in.

Hoping that he will pay back she gave him part of her brother’s school fees so he could get back on his feet – Pending when the fees will be paid in January.

He gets on his feet and starts che@ting around with other women.

Time to remit his debt and he lines up excuses.

It took the financial intervention of his godfather, family and friends for him to refund the money.

That day she realized, that some s@crifices don’t build love, they expose n0nsense – so she br0k3 up.

The story has sparked reactions from X-users online:

@eidurance Just imagine that beautiful opportunity wasted like that living that lady with tr@uma. When she goes into a new relationship she won’t be able to support her current partner.

@OgbujiPrecious5 The guy didn’t do well at all. That’s not just ungrat3ful it’s straight-up character f@ilure. Some sacrific3s do expose red flags. Never mix family obligations with boyfriend emergencies.

@PERCIVAL_JOEY It is a truly hard, lesson if we are to be factual. But money meant for school fees or hospital bill should not be put at risk like that.

Man refuses to move into the house his wife helped build for f3ar of mockery

A man says he cannot move into the house his wife secretly helped him complete, because people will laugh at him.

The couple had bought a land years ago and were gradually developing it.

Unfortunately, the husband later lost his job.

She then, secretly decided to complete the house using her salary, provision business profits and a loan.

It was her plan to surprise him with it on his 40th birthday.

That day finally came and she took him to the site.

The almost-completed house was decorated with balloons and a “Happy Birthday Honey” boldly written.

To her surprise he didn’t smile.

“So you did all this behind my back?

You think I’m useless?” , he asked.

He fumed, and refused to enter the house. That he cannot pack into a house built with woman power while he was jobless.

Tears roll down his cheeks as he laments that people will laugh at him.

This has led to a prolonged malice between the couples, that he now sleeps in the living room.

“Should I wait for him to get a job before completing the house?

..did I do wrong by trying to surprise him?” , she concludes with a question.

The story was shared by @BukolaOni0 on X and it has caused reactions from people:

@papshine_t This is a typical example of a f00lish man in the name of pride and ego.

Due to the tightness his body was brushing off on the lady sitting close to him.

At some point he felt her b00bs rubbing off the back of his arm.

Abroad-based Nigerian lady eats bread and stew with fork, adjusts her eating style at work (Watch)

An abroad-based Nigerian lady took an unconventional approach to eating bread and stew at work to adjust her eating style around colleagues.

The video showed her using a fork to eat bread and stew, a method that deviates from the traditional approach many Nigerians know.

Typically, bread and stew are eaten with the hands by tearing off a portion of bread and dipping it into the stew. However, she explained that she opted for cutlery because she wasn’t sure how to eat comfortably in front of her colleagues.

The moment resonated with many Nigerians living abroad, who shared similar experiences of adapting their habits in professional or unfamiliar environments.

While some viewers found it relatable, others encouraged embracing cultural practices with confidence, regardless of the setting.

Netizens wondered why she was shy about eating the meal in the typical method when people abroad similarly eat some of their meals.

Below are some comments,

@ᴠᴇɴɪᴄᴇ 🌟 shy in front of the same people that dip their grilled cheese in tomato soup. pls you’re not hungry give it to me

@Doyin Don’t be silly tear the bread and dip it in 😂😂 just say it’s naan bread

@Fumnanya Abeg tear your bread and dip in your stew jare!!

@nans.bello I’m so curious, if you had a grilled cheese and tomato soup, would you have done the same thing?

Olajumoke Orisaguna Clears the Air After Viral Video Sparks ‘Smoking’ Rumours

Remember Olajumoke? The bread seller from Agege whose life changed overnight after she wandered into a photoshoot and came out a supermodel? She is back in the conversation, and this time the circumstances are a little less glamorous.

Over the Easter holiday, Olajumoke posted a video on social media that got people talking for all the wrong reasons. In it, she was dancing in a bum short and a distressed shirt, singing an indigenous song, cupping her nether region with one hand and holding the other in a way that looked convincingly like she was smoking. It was the kind of video that travels fast, and it did.

It did not take long before the comments section filled up with concern, speculation and in true Nigerian internet fashion, a fair amount of judgment. A chunk of the people who saw it concluded she had picked up a drug habit. The video spread, the narrative spread with it, and before long Olajumoke found herself needing to respond.

She did, and she kept it simple. In a follow-up video she shared online, she said plainly that she does not smoke and she does not drink, and asked people not to put that image on her. The smoking was just content, she explained. She was acting, playing a character for the camera, nothing more.

Whether people believe her is a different conversation entirely. But for anyone who has followed her story, there is something quietly sad about the fact that Olajumoke is once again having to fight for control of her own narrative.

Her come-up is the kind of story Nollywood would turn into a film. A young woman balancing a tray of bread on her head in Agege, minding her business, accidentally walks into a photoshoot that photographer TY Bello was running with British rapper Tinie Tempah. Someone posts the photo. Nigeria loses its mind. Brands start calling. Olajumoke, who most people had never heard of 48 hours earlier, is suddenly everywhere.

But that kind of fame, the kind that arrives without warning and without infrastructure around it, rarely holds. The attention moved on, as it always does, and Olajumoke gradually faded from the front pages she had briefly occupied.

So seeing her pop back up, even under these circumstances, is something. Whether this moment leads anywhere or becomes just another footnote is hard to say. But she is here, she is making content, and she says she is clean. That is where things stand.

“Her mother begged me to marry her because they wanted to use me for papers” – Angel Smith’s partner, Tumininu continues to spill more

Nobody saw the wedding coming. Even fewer people expected it to fall apart this fast.
Angel Smith, the BBNaija star who announced her marriage to her female partner Tumininu in an all-black ceremony in the United States on March 27, 2026, is now at the centre of one of the messiest celebrity marriage meltdowns Nigerian social media has seen in a long time. And the thing is, it has not even been two weeks.

Tumininu opened the floodgates on Snapchat, and once she started talking, she did not stop. Her biggest claim, the one that has people’s jaws on the floor, is that Angel’s own mother lobbied repeatedly for the wedding to happen. Not just once. Several times. She says she knows exactly why. “Them wan use me for paper, I japa,” she wrote, alleging that the family’s real intention was to secure immigration papers through the marriage and that she figured it out before they could pull it off.

She named friends who had encouraged her to go through with the wedding and threatened to see them all in court. “Soji, Chinwe, Crystal, Segun, all of you wey beg me to continue this shit. All of us go to court to explain ourselves,” she wrote.

Then came the receipts, or at least what she is calling receipts.

Screenshots of private conversations between the two began making rounds online. In one exchange, Angel herself appeared to have doubts about the marriage long before things went sideways publicly. She reportedly brought up concerns about Tumininu’s finances, said she felt no real connection, and flagged issues she was observing around her partner. Tumininu, in the same thread, asked her plainly if she wanted a divorce and brought up the fact that there was no intimacy between them. She also said she sold her chains to buy Angel a car. Angel’s response, according to the screenshots, was to ask whether she had ever asked for a car in the first place.

It gets messier. Tumininu has accused Angel of cheating on her with another woman she allegedly met on Hinge after arriving in the US. She claims she spent over $100,000 on Angel since she got to America, including $50,000 on her birthday alone. At one point she posted telling Angel’s mother to go and look for her daughter at her new girlfriend’s house.

None of this was visible when Angel shared clips of herself getting glammed up for the wedding on Snapchat just days earlier. The ceremony was intimate, the aesthetic was deliberate, all-black outfits for every guest, a detail that had caused its own minor controversy when the invitation circulated online. Fans pushed back. Angel pushed back harder. When someone asked why she could not find a man to marry, she said no man was good enough. She was married to a woman within days.

The first sign that something was wrong came almost immediately after the wedding when a video surfaced of Tumininu with another woman, clearly having a good time. Angel responded on Instagram the way she usually responds to things that bother her, obliquely and with attitude, posting cryptic messages that suggested she was unbothered and possibly available again.

Tumininu posted a meme about losing people to prove loyalty to someone who turned out to be disloyal. Neither of them said anything directly. They did not need to.

What is unfolding now is the direct version of that same conversation, and it is significantly louder. A marriage that barely had time to find its footing is crumbling in public, one Snapchat post at a time, and neither woman seems particularly interested in keeping the details behind closed doors.

Israel DMW Says Marrying a Foreigner Is Not the Problem, Bringing the Children Back Home Is

Davido’s logistics manager and media aide, Israel DMW, has stirred conversation online after sharing his thoughts on Nigerians who travel abroad to marry foreign partners, and his position is more nuanced than the average take on the subject.

In a post shared on his Instagram page, accompanied by photos of himself at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja dressed in an all-white agbada, Israel made clear that he has no problem with interracial or international marriages in principle. His concern lies elsewhere. “Going to abroad, to marry an Oyinbo woman or man isn’t the issue at all. Bringing back the children home is the main problem. Blacks still remain best,” he wrote.

The post touched on something that resonates with a good number of Nigerians, particularly those who have watched family members or friends build lives abroad, marry foreign partners, and raise children who grow up with little to no connection to their Nigerian roots. For Israel, that disconnect appears to be the real cost worth talking about.

The comment comes from a man who has had his own complicated relationship with marriage. Israel was previously married to Edo-based influencer Sheila Courage, but the union collapsed in under a year amid allegations of domestic violence and what both parties described very differently. Israel denied any physical assault and claimed he had significantly invested in Sheila’s life during their time together, only for her to attempt to reshape him to meet her own expectations and look down on him financially. Sheila, for her part, dismissed his account entirely, saying he used his generosity as a cover for his shortcomings.

The fallout was very public. Israel issued warnings to men to stay clear of his estranged wife. He shared a video of her out with friends and told the public he had moved on. He later sat down with media personality Daddy Freeze and said divorce should hurt, and that his ex was using theirs as a platform for self-promotion. He also took a swipe at her for dispensing relationship advice after their failed marriage.

Away from the drama, Israel has dropped hints that he may be open to love again. At the 88th birthday dinner of billionaire TY Danjuma last year, he posted a photo alongside an unidentified woman in a green gown, deliberately keeping her face out of frame, giving his followers just enough to speculate about.

For now though, it is his views on transnational marriages and raising children far from home that have people talking.

“Remove My Bad Character, I Am a Spec” — Phyna Declares Any Man Who Cheats on Her Is the One Losing

Phyna is never short of confidence, and her latest livestream gave her followers another reminder of exactly that.

The Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner sparked a fresh wave of reactions online after she went on a bold, unbothered monologue during a recent livestream in which she assessed her own worth, acknowledged her flaws, and still came out of the exercise thoroughly impressed with herself.

She did not pretend to be without fault. She admitted openly that she has a bad character. But in Phyna’s estimation, that is largely beside the point. “Remove my bad character, I am a spec. I’m a fine shit. Any man that cheats on me is definitely the one losing,” she said, delivering the line with the kind of ease that suggested she had thought about it and fully agreed with herself.

She did not leave it there either. Phyna went on to break it down further, asking her audience to mentally set aside her acknowledged flaws and take stock of everything that remains. “Just use your eyes to remove bad character aside and check my remaining part, I’m a fine shit. Even with my bad character sef I’m not still too bad, so I’m not scared of Lagos girls cause they got nothing on my relationship,” she added.

The Lagos girls comment, casual as it was, has predictably become one of the most talked about parts of the clip, with people weighing in on whether the confidence is earned, excessive, or simply Phyna being Phyna.

Reactions online have been mixed but spirited. Some found the whole thing hilarious and refreshing, appreciating her self-awareness wrapped inside the bravado. Others felt the comparisons were unnecessary. Either way, the clip has been doing the rounds and Phyna, as usual, does not appear to be losing any sleep over the debate.

Donald Trump deletes post depicting him as Jesus-like figure after backlash

United States President Donald Trump has taken down an AI-generated image he posted of himself that drew swift and sharp criticism from Christian commentators who said it crossed a line no sitting president should cross.

The image, which has since been deleted, showed Trump dressed in a white robe with one hand placed on the forehead of a visibly ill man, a pose that many observers immediately recognised as a direct reference to classical religious paintings depicting Jesus Christ performing acts of healing. The backdrop of the image leaned heavily into American iconography, featuring the Statue of Liberty, a large US flag, fighter jets, an eagle, a nurse, a woman in prayer, and what appeared to be a uniformed soldier.

The backlash from Christian voices was immediate. Critics described the post as blasphemous and called it deeply inappropriate for a president who has consistently presented himself as a champion of Christian values in America.

Trump, however, pushed back on that interpretation when he spoke to reporters some hours after the image had been removed. He said he did not see it the way his critics did, claiming he believed the image was showing him as a doctor standing beside a Red Cross worker, not a depiction of Christ.

The timing of the post added another layer to the controversy. It went up just hours after Trump had published a lengthy public statement taking aim at Pope Leo XIV, who has been an outspoken critic of the military operations carried out by the United States and Israel in Iran. Whether the sequence of events was coincidental or deliberate has not been addressed by the White House.

The deleted post has continued to circulate widely in screenshots across social media, ensuring that its removal has done little to quiet the conversation around it.

Man recounts how “Baddie” almost walked off with his luxury cap at a concert (Watch)

In a funny yet intense moment from a concert, an unknown lady nearly made away with a man’s luxury cap after dancing with him.

The video shared by the man shows that while he and the lady were vibing and dancing, she casually removed his face cap and placed it on her head without saying a word. The unexpected move caught attention, but the moment didn’t escalate.

In a smooth twist, the man spun around during the dance and gently took the cap back from her, blending back into the crowd as if nothing had happened.

The clip quickly sparked reactions online. While some viewers questioned how “luxury” the cap really was, others were more amused by how both parties handled the situation so casually.

Many also joked about what could have happened if the lady had disappeared before he completed his spin, turning the moment into a mix of humor and street smartness.
