“Your husband is not your friend and he will never be” – Lady shares why

A lady has stirred strong reactions online after sharing her views on the dynamics between husbands and wives, specifically taking aim at women who consider their husbands their best friends.

Her position is direct: your husband is not your friend, and according to her, he never will be. She is not saying he cannot be warm, playful or fun to be around. She is saying those moments exist within a structure, and women who fail to understand that structure end up causing problems for themselves and their marriages.

Her argument centres on what she describes as the inability of many women to switch between modes. A husband who plays with his wife, laughs with her and lets his guard down is not abandoning his role, she says. He is extending a privilege. The problem, in her view, arises when a woman interprets that openness as equality and stops distinguishing between the man she married and the man she is meant to submit to.

She explains it this way: when he speaks, a wife should be able to read which version of him is present. Is he speaking as her husband, the one who holds authority in the home, or is he speaking as the man she fell in love with, the one who jokes around and lets things be light? Knowing the difference, she argues, is the job. Getting it wrong, treating him the same in both modes, is where things go sideways.

According to her, the moment a man notices that the more relaxed he becomes, the less respect he receives, he withdraws. He becomes guarded and, in her words, hostile. The playful side disappears not because it was never real but because it no longer feels safe for him to bring it out.

Her conclusion is that no matter how much warmth or informality exists in a marriage, a woman should never lose sight of her position. The moment she begins to see herself as his peer rather than his wife, submission becomes impossible, and the dynamic of the marriage shifts in ways that she believes are damaging.

The post has drawn predictably divided reactions. Some women agreed, saying the message reflects a reality many marriages struggle with. Others pushed back firmly, arguing that a marriage built on hierarchy rather than friendship is a lonely one, and that mutual respect looks very different from the one-sided submission being described.

Man reveals why you should never open a bank account in your name

A man has come online to share reasons why one should not open a bank account in his/her name.

The X-user said he wasn’t aware of this until the day his dad stopped him on the day he got his first paycheck. He had gone to the bank, opened a savings account in his name and deposited the whole money there. After which his boss told him that he had just placed a target on his back – “then I had no idea what he meant”.

He then explained to him that the moment your money sits in your name, it’s exposed. Creditors can see it, lawyers can find it, anybody with judgement against you can freeze it and take it legally.

So he shared what one should do instead:

Step 1, go to the IRS and apply an EIN. A tax ID number, but for a trust instead of a person.

Step 2, Select a revocable trust as your entity type. List yourself as both the grantor and trustee. It gives you full control of everything.

Step 3, take that EIN to any bank and open an account under that trust name, not yours.

He adds that with these, the money is still yours. You can move it, spend it, and invest it however you want. Just that on paper, its not attached to you.

If someone su3s you they can’t touch what they can’t see

“This is the system intelligent billionaires have always used.

Own nothing on paper, control everything in reality.”, He concluded.

Sudanese Man Loses Childhood Girlfriend to a Man With Fewer Cows and Writes Her the Most Heartbreaking Goodbye Letter

In South Sudan, cows are not just livestock. They are currency, they are status, and in the context of marriage, they are the measure of a man’s seriousness. By that measure, Buong Arop did everything right. It still was not enough.

The young Sudanese man has gone viral after sharing an open letter addressed to his childhood girlfriend, a woman he had loved, pursued formally, and lost, not because he came up short, but because the family chose someone closer to home over someone who came with more.

Arop had gathered 105 cows as bride price. His rival brought 90. By traditional reckoning, there should have been no contest. But the girl’s family chose the other man anyway, citing what Arop described as local ties, the simple fact that his opponent was a “homie,” someone from within the same community, while Arop had travelled across regions, crossing Mayath and Cueibet and going deep into Gok, into Bhargel, to pursue the woman he loved.

His goal, he explained, had never been just about the girl. He had wanted to unite two communities, Duony Payam and Bhar-Gel of Achol Malek Payam, through their union. He came in peace, with respect, and with more cows than the man who won. And still, he left empty-handed.

What he left behind instead was a letter, and it is one of the more quietly devastating things to have circulated on social media in recent memory.

He wrote:

“I hope this letter finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge what we once shared with honesty and respect. The world is so big. Some people come into our lives for a season, not forever and that doesn’t lessen their importance. I let you go but my heart never did. I tried to be strong, but it’s not convincing.

I told myself what’s that bad thing I did to your relatives, when I have 105 cows and my so-called opponent having 90 cows, why should I choose your family to build a strong bond between two families, yet they ended up favoring a homie. Is marriage from this land all about home? I believed being a homie has an advantage if not my opponent would have not ended up being favored.

My plan was intentional to unite two Payams in unity, Duony Payam and Bhar-Gel of Achol Malek Payam, in union to have a strong bond among themselves and that’s the very same reason I crossed Mayath and Cueibet to go behind the depth of Gok which is Bhargel. I didn’t know people would end up mistreating me like a stranger. Even when I respect and not to cause them any annoyance in any way. I dated you respectfully and peacefully knowing one day, you should be mine.

Love used to feel like hope, like home. Now it feels fragile, like something I can’t risk again.

After I just ended, I just sat there, staring at nothing like a mad man and then the tears came slowly, silent, heavy and unexpected way without my knowledge. No one noticed, no one heard. It was like dreams and unsure but it became true and reality. I didn’t break down loudly. I just cried quietly, holding onto the pieces of us, already missing you more than I thought I could.

Today I choose to say goodbye. Not because I never love you but because I respect your brothers and family at large. I promised your brothers not to grab you in such a stolen way but in a good way and if your family failed to choose a different path then it’s okay. It’s not your fault but your family and relatives chose to follow the path of their home.

I truly hope that life has been kind to you and that you are moving forward with peace and purpose. This letter carries no expectations, only goodwill, gratitude and respect for what once was. Go live well with your in-laws. Let’s count everything in God’s hand, maybe it was planned by God before we were once considered an idea. Goodbye Maan Buong.”

The letter has been shared thousands of times, drawing reactions from people across the continent who found in it something they recognised, the particular ache of doing everything right and still losing, of love that was real and careful and ultimately not enough to overcome forces that had nothing to do with love at all.

Arop is not angry at the girl. He makes that clear. He is disappointed in a system, and in a family that looked at 105 cows and a man who crossed regions to be there, and still chose differently.

Super TV Boss Murder Trial Nears End as Chidinma Ojukwu’s Sister Takes the Stand

The trial over the 2021 killing of Super TV chief executive Usifo Ataga is moving into its final stretch, with the third and reportedly last defence witness taking the stand in court this week.

Chioma Ebuche, the sister of prime suspect Chidinma Ojukwu, appeared before the court and gave testimony centred on a mobile phone that prosecutors have linked to the case.
In her evidence, Ebuche told the court that she had no idea the phone her sister gave her had been stolen. According to her account, Chidinma invited her over and handed her the device, which she accepted without asking any questions about where it came from or how it was obtained.

She maintained that position under cross-examination, insisting she had no knowledge of the phone’s origin at the time she received it.

The case has been before the courts since 2021, when Chidinma Ojukwu was arrested in connection with the death of Ataga, whose body was discovered in a short-let apartment in the Lekki area of Lagos. The matter has gone through numerous adjournments and proceedings over the years since then.

With the third defence witness now having testified, the trial is said to be approaching judgment, making this one of the final pieces of evidence the court will hear before a verdict is delivered in a case that has gripped public attention in Nigeria for nearly four years.

Man and his friend compete over cutting vegetables after visiting his mother at the market (video)

A simple visit to the market turned into an unexpected competition after a man and his friend decided to challenge each other.

Following a trip to his mother’s stall, who sells vegetables, the duo decided to compete with vegetables in a contest of speed and skill.

Speaking in the background, his mother mentioned that she had sharpened the knife before they arrived. She claimed that her son’s friend cuts better because he was a chef.

While the men argued about who cut better, the mother alerted his friend to concentrate to avoid cutting his finger accidentally.

Both men appeared determined to outdo each other, turning the moment into an entertaining display, which the market women enjoyed.

“I Don’t Touch My Money If It Drops Below ₦100 Million” — Streamer Peller Sets the Record Straight on His Broke Limit

The conversation started casually enough. It ended with Peller dropping a number that has had the internet doing a double take ever since.

The popular Nigerian streamer was on a livestream with content creator SirBalo when the two got into a discussion about money, family, and what it actually means to be broke. It was the kind of honest, unfiltered exchange that livestreams tend to produce, and Peller clearly came ready to talk.

SirBalo opened up about his own financial background, saying he had never experienced being broke in his life. He spoke about his siblings, some based in the United States, others in the United Kingdom, and described them as people who are doing well for themselves. When Peller pushed him on whether they used their own funds to relocate abroad, SirBalo acknowledged it may not have been entirely self-funded but maintained that wherever they started, they are currently standing on their own feet. He also mentioned that his siblings had come through for him financially at various points, sometimes floating him as much as ten or fifteen million naira when he needed it.

The conversation then drifted into territory that got genuinely interesting. SirBalo made the observation that broke is relative, that fifty million naira can be broke for some people, and a hundred million can be broke for others. Peller picked up on that thread immediately and asked SirBalo to name his own broke limit. SirBalo danced around the question without committing to a figure, though he held firm on the fact that he had never actually been in that position.

Then Peller answered for himself, and he did not hesitate.

“I don’t touch my money if it drops below one hundred million naira,” he said. That is the floor. Anything beneath that number and he considers himself in uncomfortable territory. To manage that, he said he sometimes accepts music promotion jobs for as low as three million naira specifically so he does not have to dip into his reserves when his balance gets close to that line.

He also mentioned that he has opened multiple shops for members of his family, offering that as context for how he thinks about money and the people around him.

The clip has been circulating since the livestream ended, and reactions have ranged from admiration to outright disbelief. For some, it is a flex delivered with refreshing candour. For others, the numbers are a reminder of just how wide the gap is between different realities in Nigeria.

Either way, Peller said what he said, and he did not say it quietly.

“The Minimum I Give Every Sunday Is $12,000” — Pastor Ibiyeomie Says He Will Remain Rich Even If His Congregation Never Gives Him a Dime

Pastor David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministries in Port Harcourt has sparked widespread conversation online after a video of him preaching about money, offerings and the link between giving and prosperity made the rounds on social media.

In the clip, the clergyman made a series of bold financial disclosures from the pulpit, telling his congregation that he gives a minimum of $12,000 every Sunday as an offering, and no less than $2,000 on weekdays. He added that this commitment holds even when he is travelling and not physically present in church, saying his offering would still be deposited in his absence.

He used the disclosure to make a pointed argument to his congregation: that his wealth has nothing to do with them. Whether they give to him or not, he said, is entirely irrelevant to his financial standing.

“If you don’t give your offering, I will be rich, stinkingly rich. I know how to move the handle of God. I am not depending on your money. If my birthday is coming, get angry and don’t give me any money. This guy will be stupendously rich because it is not coming from you. It is coming from my covenant work with God,” he said.

He then turned the message toward his congregation, offering what he described as the reason many of them remain in poverty. In his assessment, stinginess is the root cause of financial lack, and generosity is the path out of it.

“You know why you are poor? Stinginess is the gateway to poverty and giving is the gateway to prosperity. Make your choice. Every poor man is stingy,” he said. He went further to challenge members who spend freely on entertainment but bring minimal offerings to church, asking how someone could spend twenty thousand naira on personal enjoyment and then give two thousand naira to God.

The video has generated significant reactions online, with opinions divided between those who agree with his theology of giving and those who have raised questions about the messaging and its implications for congregants of modest means.

NDLEA Warns Nigerians Against Receiving Packages From Abroad Without Knowing the Contents, Says You Could Go to Jail

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has issued a public warning to Nigerians, cautioning that accepting packages sent from abroad without full knowledge of their contents could result in arrest, prosecution and imprisonment.

The warning was shared on X on Sunday, April 10, by the agency’s spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, who explained that drug traffickers operating overseas have developed a pattern of concealing illicit substances inside shipments and listing unsuspecting relatives or friends in Nigeria as the designated recipients.

According to Babafemi, when such consignments are intercepted and the named recipient collects the package, that individual automatically assumes criminal liability for possession and conspiracy under Nigerian law, regardless of whether they were aware of the contents.

He urged anyone who must receive a cargo on behalf of someone abroad to first verify every item in the shipment, recommending that recipients request a recorded video call with the sender at the point of packaging as a safeguard. Where that is not possible, he advised people to decline accepting the package entirely, irrespective of any financial incentive offered.

“Some criminal minds will stay abroad and send consignments used to conceal illicit drugs and then make their family members or close friends as consignees who will receive the cargoes on their behalf from courier companies,” Babafemi wrote. “When you’re arrested with the consignment here as the designated receiver of the goods, you bear the criminal liability of possession and conspiracy with jail as the end.”

The warning was accompanied by a recent example in which NDLEA operatives intercepted illicit drugs that had been hidden inside imported snacks. A video showing the moment the drugs were discovered inside the snack packaging has also been released by the agency.

Babafemi urged Nigerians to share the warning widely to prevent others from unknowingly becoming instruments of drug trafficking networks.

Lufthansa Strike Leaves Nigerian Passengers Stranded at Frankfurt Airport as Flights Are Cancelled Across Germany

File Photo: Festus Keyamo

Nigerian travellers bound for home were among the thousands of passengers caught in the fallout of industrial action at Lufthansa in April 2026, with some forced to sleep at Frankfurt Airport after their flights were cancelled and rebooking arrangements fell short.

The disruptions followed a series of strikes by cabin crew and pilots at the German carrier. Cabin crew, represented by the Unabhängige Flugbegleiter Organisation, and pilots from Vereinigung Cockpit staged staggered walkouts over demands for higher pay, improved pension arrangements, and better working conditions amid ongoing restructuring at the Lufthansa Group. Negotiations with management had broken down before the industrial action began.

Lufthansa described the unions’ demands as financially unsustainable, citing the airline’s recovery from previous economic difficulties and its need for cost discipline to return to profitability. The airline said it remained open to further dialogue.

At its peak, the strikes disrupted between 80 and 90 per cent of operations at major German hubs, particularly Frankfurt and Munich, with hundreds of flights cancelled on the worst-affected days and tens of thousands of passengers across the network left to make alternative arrangements.

Passengers whose flights were cancelled were rebooked onto other carriers, including Royal Air Maroc. However, several Nigerian travellers reported that the experience with the alternative airline compounded their frustration rather than resolving it.

One passenger who spoke to Sunday PUNCH described the overall situation as deeply distressing. “The experience was horrible. I couldn’t meet my appointment in Nigeria, and that cost me a lot. It was frustrating because there was little communication at first, and people were just left to figure things out on their own,” the traveller said.

Another passenger raised specific concerns about how stranded travellers were treated by Royal Air Maroc. “Air Maroc is a terrible airline. A flight meant for 5:55pm on Thursday was moved to the following day. Some passengers had to sleep at the airport. These were passengers whose visas had expired and the border officers did not allow them to return to Germany. The airline did not put them in the transit hotel. They just abandoned them. Some passengers were, however, put in a hotel in Frankfurt. The experience was generally awful,” he said.

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority acknowledged the situation when contacted. Spokesperson Michael Achimugu confirmed that Lufthansa had formally informed the authority of the strikes. “If they can book passengers on other airlines or lodge passengers in hotels, these moves are within the regulations. It is either that or passengers are stuck there forever,” he said.

In response to the mounting pressure from repeated industrial action and rising operational costs, Lufthansa announced it would accelerate its restructuring programme by permanently withdrawing all 27 aircraft belonging to its regional subsidiary, Lufthansa CityLine, from service beginning April 18, 2026. The airline said affected staff would be offered transfer opportunities within the group, with redundancy negotiations ongoing.

Passengers whose flights were cancelled or significantly delayed may be entitled to compensation under European Union aviation regulations, depending on the specific circumstances of their booking.

Nigerian Man Returns Home a Shadow of Himself After Nine Months in Bandits’ Captivity

A Nigerian man identified simply as Junior has been reunited with his family and friends after spending nine months in the custody of bandits, emerging from the ordeal physically unrecognisable and visibly broken by what he endured.

His story came to public attention through a Facebook post by his friend, Mike Agwam, who recounted a chance encounter with Junior at a social gathering, having not seen him in three to four years. Agwam said he did not recognise him at first. The man standing before him was half his former size.

In his post, Agwam described the moment Junior realised what was going through his friend’s mind and immediately offered an explanation.

“He saw and knew what was going on in my mind, and immediately went ahead to tell me that he was just out from the den of kidnappers, and he has spent 9 months in their hands,” Agwam wrote. Junior then showed him a photograph taken shortly after his release. Agwam described what he saw as a 63-year-old man who looked a hundred, emaciated and defeated, with a white beard he said made him resemble ancient men who once lived in caves.

Junior told his friend that throughout the nine months, he was forced to sit in one position under a tree, regardless of weather. When it rained, he stayed. When the sun bore down, he stayed. Swarms of flies circled him constantly, he said, the way they would circle a dead animal. Bathing was nonexistent. Whatever food was brought to him, he ate, because the alternative was starvation. Ticks infested his body, inside and outside his groin, tormenting him without pause, day and night.

“It’s an experience you will not wish your worst enemy to experience,” Agwam wrote, adding that an ordinary mind would not have survived it intact. He credited Junior’s resilience and endurance for bringing him through.

Agwam said that after Junior finished speaking, his heart melted. He closed his post with a warning to Nigerians, that no one should assume they are beyond the reach of kidnappers simply because they have not been targeted yet. He called on citizens and authorities to take more decisive and practical steps to reverse what he described as a deepening crisis of insecurity across the country.

Junior’s story, Agwam noted, is not unique. It stands in for the thousands of Nigerians who have passed through similar ordeals, many of whom never make it back at all.

JAMB Arrests Two Candidates and a Parent for Falsifying 2026 UTME Results Using AI

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has arrested two examination candidates and a parent in connection with the falsification of 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination results using artificial intelligence and other electronic tools.

The board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, disclosed the arrests on Friday, April 18, in a statement released alongside the scores of 632,788 candidates who sat the examination on Thursday, April 16, the first day of this year’s UTME.

According to Benjamin, the suspects were caught manipulating official SMS result notifications sent by JAMB in order to fabricate or alter scores, with the intention of deceiving parents, guardians and other parties.

“Currently, two candidates and one parent are in custody for engaging in result falsification using AI and other electronic means,” the statement read.

Benjamin described the conduct as a serious criminal offence and warned that the board would pursue all individuals found culpable to the full extent of the law.

He also cautioned candidates against any attempt to tamper with result messages originating from JAMB’s official SMS platforms, which operate on the short codes 55019 and 66019.

Candidates who sat Thursday’s examination can access their results by sending the text “UTMERESULT” to either 55019 or 66019 from the mobile number used during registration. The board noted that the printing of official result slips is not yet available and will be activated at a later date.

The 2026 UTME commenced on April 16 and is scheduled to run until April 22 across examination centres nationwide. JAMB said results will continue to be released in batches as the examination progresses.

Brazilian Content Creator Allegedly Run Over by Estranged Husband Outside Her Own Birthday Party

Leidiane was turning 39 and celebrating with friends at her home in Curitiba, Brazil. The night ended with her in intensive care and her estranged husband at the centre of an attempted femicide investigation.

The Brazilian content creator and mother of three had been at her birthday party on Sunday, April 12, when her recently separated husband, Clair, showed up. The two had been together for five years before their separation, and according to Brazilian outlet Record, their relationship had a documented history of domestic violence.

The confrontation that night reportedly started over a cellphone. Clair accused Leidiane of having his phone. The argument escalated and eventually spilled out of the house and onto the street outside the party, in full view of her guests.

What happened next, according to the outlet, was that Clair got into his car and drove it directly at her.

Leidiane was sent flying by the impact. She was rushed to intensive care with a fractured femur. Her aunt, Elisangela Markuetti, confirmed her condition to reporters, saying she would need to have a pin inserted and that she was in significant distress both physically and emotionally.
“She’ll have to have a pin inserted, she’s very distressed,” Markuetti said.

Authorities have opened an attempted femicide investigation into the incident. Her family is publicly calling for justice and has been vocal about the need for accountability.

She had been celebrating her birthday surrounded by the people closest to her. She should have been safe.

“She Chose My Sister Because Her Husband Was Richer” — Woman Turns Down Mother’s Offer to Do Omugwo After She Skipped Her First Pregnancy

When she had her first baby, her mother was nowhere near her. Not because she was far away. Not because she was unwell. She had simply decided that her other daughter’s home was more worth her time.

A Nigerian woman has shared a story that has clearly been sitting with her for a while, and the details of it have struck a nerve with a lot of people online.
She explained that during her first pregnancy, she and her husband were living in a one-bedroom apartment. It was modest but decent, she noted, enough to have an air conditioner and the basic comforts of home.

When the time came for omugwo, the traditional postpartum support that mothers typically provide for their daughters after childbirth, hers chose not to come. The reason she gave was that she preferred to stay with her other daughter, whose husband was significantly wealthier and whose home offered a more comfortable environment.

Both sisters were pregnant at roughly the same time. The mother picked one.

When this woman eventually gave birth, her mother barely acknowledged it. There was no visit, no meaningful gesture, very little in the way of the support that a new mother, especially a first-time one, needs most. Her sister-in-law stepped in and handled the omugwo instead.

The months that followed were not easy. Her husband lost his job and spent over a year transitioning into a new line of work, sending whatever he could while he found his footing. She kept things moving with a small business of her own and occasional help from her sister. Through all of it, her mother, who had also opposed the marriage from the beginning, stayed away and never once checked in on them.

Then things changed. Her husband stabilised, started getting contracts, and the household found its rhythm. And now, pregnant again, she has received a message from her mother. She wants to come for omugwo this time.

The answer was no. Her sister-in-law will be handling it, just as she did the first time.

She did not frame it as bitterness. It came across more like a decision made from a clear-eyed place, the kind of boundary that forms naturally when someone shows you, without ambiguity, where you stand during the hardest season of your life.

“If your wife places any other man above you, including her pastor, dump her immediately” — Yul Edochie speaks to men

Yul Edochie is back on his soapbox, and this time his message is directed squarely at married men.

The Nollywood actor, who has increasingly positioned himself as a vocal advocate for men’s interests online, took to X to share his latest piece of relationship advice, and it did not come with much nuance attached.

In his post, Edochie told men that if their wives place any other man above them, whether that is a pastor, a boss, a spiritual father, a colleague, or anyone else, the appropriate response is to walk away immediately. No conversation, no working through it. Just done.

He wrote: “If your wife places any other man above you, her Pastor, her boss, Rev. Father, her spiritual director, colleague, whoever, dump her immediately. She doesn’t deserve you. You’re the King of your home. Let her go and be with that man she places above you. While you get yourself a woman who places you above all men.”

His reasoning, as he laid it out, is that a woman who elevates another man’s opinion or authority above her husband’s does not truly value him. He framed the husband as the king of the home and argued that anyone unwilling to treat him as such should be released to go be with whoever she has chosen to prioritise instead.

The post has generated significant reactions online, with some men agreeing and sharing their own experiences of feeling undermined by their wives’ deference to religious or professional figures. Others pushed back, arguing that healthy relationships involve mutual respect rather than a strict hierarchy, and that a woman having deep respect for her pastor or mentor does not automatically mean she disrespects her husband.

Edochie’s relationship commentary has rarely been far from controversy, particularly given the very public circumstances surrounding his own marriage in recent years.

Nigerian Lady Reveals She and Her Husband Were Not on Speaking Terms the Day He Paid Her Bride Price

Christie and her husband were not exactly radiating romance on one of the most significant days of their relationship. They were not speaking to each other at all.

The Nigerian woman shared the story on Facebook on Thursday, April 16, and it has since resonated with a wide audience, partly because of how honest it is and partly because of how it ended.

According to Christie, she and her then-boyfriend had a disagreement shortly before his family arrived to pay her bride price. By the time the ceremony began, both of them were still stewing in silence. They sat through the entire process, surrounded by family on both sides, without exchanging a word with each other. He paid. She agreed to leave with him. They walked out together and were still not talking.

She says that throughout the ceremony, she was quietly wrestling with herself, asking whether she was making the right decision, wondering why he was going ahead with it while they were both clearly upset, and questioning whether the whole thing was even God’s will.

In her own words: “When my husband came with his family to pay my bride price, we weren’t even talking. We had a little misunderstanding, and throughout the whole process, we just stayed quiet. Deep down, I kept asking myself questions: Is this truly the will of God? Why is he still going ahead with this while we’re both upset? He went ahead and paid, I agreed to go with him, yet we were still angry with each other. But look at us today. This can only be God.”

She says their marriage today is stronger than it has ever been, and she shared the story as an encouragement to people who are believing God for a life partner, assuring them that the journey does not always start perfectly, and that is not necessarily a sign that something is wrong.

“Tell Him to Forget About Me” — Nigerian Woman Reveals Husband Returned Her to Her Parents Two Weeks Before Their Church Wedding

Rejoice Elisha had a wedding date. December 29, 2025. A church, a dress, a future she had been building toward since her traditional marriage in October 2022.

Two weeks before that date, her husband packed her up and took her back to her parents’ house without a word of warning to her.

She shared the full story in a Facebook post on Friday, April 17, 2026, and the reason she chose to speak now is straightforward: Bongos has come back begging, and she wants the record to exist.

According to Rejoice, she and Bongos had been traditionally married since October 8, 2022, but the relationship was never stable. Trust issues and domestic violence were recurring problems throughout their time together.

By the time their church wedding was approaching, they had already separated three times. The fourth separation came differently.

Bongos drove her to her parents and left, telling her he was done. What she did not know until days later was that he had already gone ahead to inform her father privately that he would not be proceeding with the marriage, citing her stubbornness and lack of respect as his reasons. She heard it secondhand, from her father, after the fact.

She tells it in her own words:

“My supposed husband took me back to my parents two weeks to our wedding saying”he’s not marrying me again, that I’m too stubborn and very disrespectful” she wrote.

“We got married traditionally 8/10/2022, since then we’ve not been peaceful the major issue we keep having is Trust issues and Domestic violence.

“December 29/12/2025 was the date but he decided to take me back to my parents without me knowing it was few days after he left my father told me that my husband said he’s not marrying me again that I was too stubborn and very disrespectful.

“I fell sick immediately I was dripped and placed on medication. The same thing happened to my father after telling me.

“His family couldn’t even call me to at least hear if something happened, but immediately demanded for everything that was paid on me to be refund, so my family accepted because we’ve separated for three times and this was the fourth time, clearly both families are exhausted and we’re left with no option than to do the needful which was the refund.

“But decided to return me to my parents, and because it was more like a force because I never knew about it until he left I accepted it, now he’s disturbing and I know deep down that he didn’t mean it when he say sorry because if he actually love me as he claims now he wouldn’t have gone xtra miles.

“Now after the wedding date and send forth prayer passed the same man who brought me back to my parents came begging that”he’s sorry and that he doesn’t know what came over him”

“If you are close to him, tell him to forget about me and move on, and that God will bless him with a woman who will honor him since I couldn’t.”

“That’s When It Hits Me” — Lady Says Taking Her Car to the Mechanic Alone Is What Makes Being Single Feel Real

It is rarely the big things that remind you that you are doing life alone. More often than not, it is the small, unglamorous ones.

A lady has sparked a conversation online after sharing the specific moment that consistently makes her feel the weight of being single, and it is not Valentine’s Day or a wedding invitation or any of the usual suspects people point to. It is the mechanic.

In a video she shared, she explained that nothing drives home her relationship status quite like having to sort out her car repairs by herself. No one to call. No one to send. Just her, showing up at a mechanic’s shop, trying to explain what is wrong with a vehicle while navigating all the uncertainty that comes with that experience as a woman alone.

Her point was not that she cannot handle it. She clearly can, and does. But she made the observation that if she were married, the situation would look different. A husband would either sort it out himself or at the very least arrange for the mechanic to come to her rather than the other way around. That layer of logistical support, small as it sounds, is what she says she notices the absence of most.

The video has resonated widely, with many women in the comments saying they understood exactly what she meant. It is not always loneliness in the emotional sense that surfaces when you are single. Sometimes it is just the Tuesday afternoon of it all, the practical, unglamorous reality of having no one to split the load with when something breaks down.

Lady screams in excitement after witnessing a surprise proposal at a restaurant (Watch)

A lady screamed in excitement after witnessing a surprise proposal while filming herself at a restaurant.

According to her, she was recording when a sudden scream from another table caught her attention. Initially confused, she thought someone had found something unusual in their food.

She wrote in the caption,

Omggg congrats to this beautiful couple 💍❤️. It was the sweetest proposal!!! I literally thought she found something in her food until the sparklers went off . She was genuinely surprised!!!

However, she quickly realized the scream came from a woman who had just been proposed to. The surprise, combined with sparklers lighting up the moment, made it clear what was happening.

Excited for the couple, the lady immediately switched her camera to capture the scene and couldn’t help but join in the excitement, screaming along in celebration.

Describing it as one of the sweetest proposals she had seen, she noted how genuinely surprised the bride-to-be was.

The video has warmed hearts online, with many viewers celebrating love and the joy of unexpected, beautiful moments.

While some explained that they would buy a wine for the couple to celebrate, others joked about the lady’s facial expression before she realized the scream was justified.

“I bought it for myself but he has inherited it” – Woman films her husband having fun with a talking cactus toy (Watch)

A woman has shared a hilarious moment after her husband completely took over a cactus toy she originally bought for herself.

In the video, the toy, known for repeating whatever it hears, became the center of entertainment as her husband began interacting with it. From speaking to it and hearing his words echo back, to even singing along, he fully immersed himself in the fun.

Amused by the situation, the woman joked that although she bought the toy for herself, her husband had clearly “inherited” it.

She also added that people often think she’s the playful one in their marriage, but the video proved otherwise; her husband might actually be the bigger clown.

While some viewers shared their intention to purchase the gift for their toddlers, others pointed out the importance of having a lively partner.

Apostle Chibuzor Suspends Plan to Marry Off Autistic Daughter Chiemeka After Many Men Indicated Interest In Marrying Her

Omega Power Ministries has announced the suspension of its plan to arrange a marriage for Chiemeka Chibuzor, a 21-year-old autistic young woman under the care of the ministry’s founder, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, following widespread public criticism of the arrangement.

The announcement was made on the ministry’s Facebook page, where OPM stated that despite receiving more than a thousand applications from interested men, the wedding would not proceed for the time being. “Chiemeka Chibuzor wedding is hereby suspended. More than a thousand applications. No more wedding, pending further directive from me HRM King, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere,” the statement read.

The plan had been announced earlier this week when Apostle Chibuzor publicly advertised for a husband for Chiemeka, stating that she has autism but can speak and hear well. He outlined requirements for prospective suitors and listed a package of financial benefits, including lifetime financial support, a free house, and a jointly built property, describing the arrangement as being in the interest of Chiemeka’s care, protection, and happiness.

The announcement drew immediate criticism from Nigerians who raised concerns about the ethics of publicly arranging marriages for vulnerable individuals with cognitive disabilities, particularly regarding the question of informed consent. The backlash intensified in the context of a similar arrangement made two weeks earlier, when Apostle Chibuzor facilitated the marriage of his autistic foster son, Aboy Chibuzor, to an older woman who was offered a comparable financial package.

Calls have since been renewed for the nullification of Aboy’s marriage on the grounds that he is non-verbal and requires assistance with basic daily activities, a condition that critics argue makes it impossible for him to have given meaningful consent to the union.

Neither Apostle Chibuzor nor OPM has addressed those calls directly at the time of this report.

Drama unfolds in a car as pet dog refuses to vacate the front seat for the owner’s sister (Watch)

In a hilarious yet tense moment, a lady’s pet dog firmly claimed the front seat of her car and refused to let her sister sit there.

Despite her repeated instructions to the dog to move to the back seat, it remained steadfast, clearly uninterested in relinquishing its spot. Things escalated when her sister tried to intervene by opening the door to push the dog back.

Instead of cooperating, the dog reacted aggressively, almost charging at her, which forced her to quickly shut the door. Even after that, the dog continued barking at her, making it clear that the front seat was non-negotiable.

The moment has sparked laughter online, with many viewers joking about how the dog knows the meaning behind the owner’s seat in a car.

Newlywed bride recounts how her wedding almost got cancelled after an auxiliary nurse confirmed a line on her pregnancy strip was positive (Watch)

A newlywed bride has opened up about a tense moment that nearly disrupted her church wedding, following a medical practitioner’s quackery.

Man who flew to Turkey for teeth surgery now left with no teeth at all

Jon Denton went to Turkey with £3,500, fourteen implants, and a genuine hope that he was finally about to get his smile back. He came home with no teeth at all.

The 34-year-old delivery driver from Letchworth Garden City in Hertfordshire is now raising funds to fix what went wrong, and his story has become one of the more harrowing cautionary tales to emerge from the booming dental tourism industry that has seen thousands of Britons fly to Turkey in search of affordable treatment.

His troubles did not start in a dentist’s chair. They started on a road in January 2020, when Jon was involved in a serious motorbike crash that forced doctors to knock out his front teeth just to get a breathing tube down his throat. Metal was then inserted into his jaw during his recovery, and the combination of trauma and difficulty brushing left his remaining teeth in a steady state of deterioration. By the time he was ready to seek help, he was dealing with constant toothache and had to cut his food into small pieces just to get through a meal.

He reached out to a dentist in the UK and was quoted £30,000 for the treatment he needed. That was not a realistic number for a delivery driver with two children, so he started looking elsewhere.

He found a clinic in Turkey with good reviews, no high-pressure sales tactics, and pricing that sat comfortably in the middle range of what was on offer. It felt like a safe choice. In January this year, he flew out and had 14 implants screwed into his mouth over the course of six hours in the dentist’s chair, followed by his new teeth being glued in the very next day.

At first, he loved what he saw in the mirror. Then the pain came. Not the manageable kind that comes with any dental procedure but the nine-out-of-ten, throbbing, constant kind that had him wishing he had broken his leg again instead. His temporary bottom teeth fell out while he was sitting on his sofa laughing. The infection set in. Brushing became impossible. He flew back to Turkey in March 2026 for what he was told would be a straightforward fix.

He woke up from sedation with nothing in his mouth.

The dentist, he claims, had removed all of the implants while he was under, citing implant failure. Jon was then given two options: pay for dentures at the same clinic, or accept a partial refund of £2,700. He took the refund and flew home.

“I remember waking up and there was nothing there,” he said. “There was no need to remove them all. It was a shock.”

He locked himself away for days after returning. His partner’s birthday came around recently and he tried to eat a piece of soft cake. He could not manage it.

Jon is clear that he does not want his experience to be read as a blanket warning against dental work in Turkey. He acknowledges that plenty of people have come back with excellent results. But his outcome has been the opposite, and the toll it has taken goes beyond his mouth. He says he wakes up in a bad mood every day, struggles to motivate himself for work, and worries about what the ongoing situation is doing to his relationship.

“It’s the worst thing I’ve ever been through,” he said. “I wish I could turn back time.”

He is currently fundraising to cover the cost of starting the entire process again elsewhere, this time hoping for a very different ending.

“AI is not your helper” — Actress Ruth Kadiri warns Christians against replacing the Holy Spirit with tech

Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has stepped into a conversation that not many Nigerian public figures have been willing to touch directly, and she came with a full opinion.

In a video she shared recently, Kadiri raised concerns about what she sees as a growing pattern among Christians, the habit of turning to artificial intelligence for answers and guidance in situations where, in her view, the Holy Spirit should be the first point of contact.

Her argument is not that AI is useless. She acknowledged that it delivers answers and can solve problems. But she drew a firm line between what AI can do and what she believes faith offers, saying that no matter how precise or helpful a response from an AI tool might be, it cannot give the kind of deep fulfilment and spiritual clarity that comes from a genuine relationship with God. That gap, she said, is significant and worth paying attention to.

She also described AI as essentially an imitation of something that already exists within the framework of faith, suggesting that people gravitate toward it because it feels modern, impressive and immediately accessible, without always stopping to consider what they might be trading away in the process.

To ground her point, she shared something personal. She described a period when she had been feeling overwhelmed and scattered, unable to find focus or direction. Rather than reaching for a screen, she said a simple prayer before bed. The next morning, she woke up with clarity, energy and a clear sense of what she needed to do. That, she said, is the kind of thing no algorithm can replicate.

Her broader concern is that people are quietly drifting away from spiritual relationships and real-life communities, replacing them with digital alternatives that offer convenience but not depth.

The video has drawn mixed reactions, with some agreeing strongly with her position and others pushing back, arguing that using AI as a tool does not necessarily signal a weakening of faith.

21-year-old lady struggling with bedwetting shared what happened after her admission into the university

A Nigerian woman has shared her story of struggling with bedwetting well into adulthood, and the account she gave is the kind that makes you sit with it long after you have finished reading. Not because it is dramatic in the way most viral stories are, but because of how quietly devastating it was, year after year, night after night, for most of her life.

By her own account, her family tried everything. They woke her up every hour through the night to use the bathroom. They cut off her water intake from 3pm. They took her to churches. Someone made her sit on hot coal. Red oil was rubbed on her body. There were soaps, medications, home remedies passed down and tried with diminishing hope. None of it worked. And when it did not work, what followed was flogging, insults, and shame. The kind of shame that gets layered onto a child so consistently it starts to feel like identity.

She was the only one of five siblings who did not attend a boarding school. Not because she did not want to. Because she could not risk it. She avoided travelling. She avoided men. She built her life around managing a secret that was exhausting to keep and humiliating whenever it slipped out.

It slipped out once in a way she has never forgotten. Her best friend told the whole class. She fought her for it, and even though the fight is long behind her, the wound from that betrayal quietly reshaped how she trusted people from that point on.

Through all of it, she said she had one prayer she returned to for years. Just one. That God would make it stop.

It did not stop.

Then at 21, she got admitted into university and had to face a reality she had been dreading since childhood: a shared hostel. Strangers. Bunk beds. No way to hide. She was terrified in a way that went beyond the normal anxiety of starting a new chapter. She knew what she was carrying into that room.

So she did not sleep. For four days, she stayed awake, running on fear and determination, refusing to give her body the chance to betray her in front of people who did not yet know her story. On the fifth day, exhaustion won. She slept.

She woke up to a dry bed.

She said it was the happiest day of her life. And the nights that followed brought the same result. Dry. Consistently, inexplicably dry.

“It just stopped. Just like that. Till today, I don’t know why. Maybe it was fear. Maybe it was a new environment. Or maybe God finally said, it’s time,” she wrote.
She still does not have a medical explanation. And maybe she does not need one. What she has instead is the other side of something that once felt permanent, and the quiet, remarkable fact that one morning changed everything.

Read story below:

“At 21, I got admission into the university.
My parents were already tired of everything… so they let me go.

“I was terrified.
Terrified of being exposed.
Terrified of disgrace in the hostel.
So for 4 days… I didn’t sleep.
On the 5th day, my body gave up.
I slept.

And for the first time in 21 years…
I didn’t wet the bed.
I woke up, checked… Dry.

I can’t even explain the feeling.
That was the happiest day of my life.
Then the next day… still dry.
And the next… still dry.

It just stopped.
Just like that.
Till today, I don’t know why.
Maybe it was fear.
Maybe it was a new environment.

Or maybe…
God finally said, “It’s time.”

If you’re going through something you’re ashamed of… I hope this reminds you:
Your story is not over yet.”
